From the beginning, CT wedding group made wedding planning an enjoyable experience for both of us every step of the way. Being in our far share of weddings ourselves we have witnessed the stress and chaos that comes with wedding planning. Thanks to you all, we never really had to experience those feelings. Each member of the team we worked with or communicated with via email or zoom had a clear understanding of our vision, supported it, and made it happen. On the day of the wedding we were so fortunate to have Nicole assigned to us as our day of coordinator. Nicole made not just us, but our entire family, feel at home making sure every one’s needs were met. Our day went off without any hitches and we honestly can’t even think of a single thing that occurred that we were not happy with. She made sure we ate, drank, and most importantly took in every moment of our special day. Our guests have done nothing but rave to us all month long about our wedding. From the scenery of the venue, to the tent, to the food, to the drinks-we have heard nothing but positive compliments. I would recommend Lyman Orchards and CT wedding group to anyone with dreams of having the most beautiful and complete outdoor wedding in a heart beat. If we could do July 1st 2023 over and over again we would. Thank you for making our most special day an absolute dream come true.

My husband and I were looking for a venue that was outdoors, had a tent for the reception, & had an on site ceremony spot. Lyman has it all and more. The views of the golf course are beautiful and there are so many great places for pictures. The tent was set up beautifully for our wedding, the tables had enough space in between them so it wasn’t too crowded, the string lights added the perfect touch. Lyman is an absolute beautiful venue so if you’re looking to have an outdoor wedding, look no further.

I think I could write a short novel with all of the positive things we have to say about CT Wedding Group & Lyman itself so I’ll try to highlight a couple of points. We can not say enough good things about the entire team - they were prompt, transparent, and professional. They were quick to respond to emails and if we had any requests along they were very accommodating. As a more unorganized bride (lol) they kept the process stress free, helped guide me every step of the way, and made the process fun! Jenna was our day of coordinator, along with Lexi, and they were FANTASTIC. From the moment we met Jenna we were super comfortable with her, she felt more like a friend than a wedding coordinator. She kept the day running smoothly, which allowed us to just enjoy the day and not worry about logistics. We are so thankful to her and the whole team. Now for the venue: we have had countless people compliment us on the food and outdoor open atmosphere. We did the golf package during cocktail hour which was a huge hit, so I recommend that. The decor was spot on (all set up by CT wedding group with little responsibility on our part). For any summer brides out there, we got married August 20 and it was 87 and sunny during the day and by the time our cocktail hour started at 5:30 it was breezy and comfortable up on the hill, and with their fans they provide. I know our day would have been great regardless of weather - but even so I spent ~2 years unnecessarily stressing about weather so if this can appease one summer bride I’ll be happy, it was not too hot at all! :)

I don’t even know where to begin. Having our wedding at Lyman Orchards Golf Club was a dream come true! From the views to the food, everything was outstanding! Let’s not forget about our day of coordinator, Nicole, who went out of her way to make our day as perfect as possible. She went out of her way to make the impossible possible (like finding a way to move my arbor at the last second!). She was flexible in any last minute changes to the timeline of the day and was amazingly creative with our reception decorations! From the beginning, CTWG has been so helpful and answered our 1000 questions - we couldn’t ask for a better group of people to help us coordinate one of the most important days of our lives.

They were absolutely amazing and made our day run so smoothly! I cannot thank them enough for all that they did to make our day the best day ever. It was more perfect than we ever could’ve imagined!

The CT Wedding Group exceeded my expectations! Jenna my coordinator for the day of was amazing. She turned my dream wedding into a reality. The crew working was so attentive and accommodating to us and our guests needs throughout the evening. If you are looking for an outdoor venue that is picturesque, has most everything included in the price per person, and an event group that will keep you on your toes and make the stress of wedding planning seem like a breeze, look no further.

We can’t thank CT wedding group enough for putting together an amazing, beautiful, seamless, magical wedding day for us at Lyman Orchards! Jenna went out of her way to make our outdoor ceremony happen despite some uncertainty in the weather!! They went over our details with us many times over and made sure the day ran smoothly from start to finish. They do such a fantastic job with décor. We loved the tasting experience and the food was absolutely amazing!! The planners that helped on the day of did an absolutely amazing job. They worked with us to reschedule a new date due to COVID and were flexible with making changes. At times, we did feel there was some lack of transparency and additional fees that popped up, including ceremony chairs which was probably the most surprising, but I’m sure the experience would be similar with any other wedding venue/group and we would just recommend reading all the fine details for anyone you book. Overall, we would definitely recommend them for an amazing wedding experience and a day that you will be happy with! :)

We cannot thank CT Wedding Group enough for helping to make our day so perfect. Lyman Orchards is such a beautiful venue and CT Wedding Group was so easy to work with from start to finish. We went into the wedding planning process with little idea of how to go about it and the wedding planning team was there to help and guide us every step of the way. Everyone was so kind and helpful but special thanks to Samantha as she was one who we worked closest with. She is so positive and kind. Her emails and video chats to keep us on track were greatly appreciated! Our day of coordinator was Nicole and I really don't know how that day would have worked without her. Everyone talks about how on their wedding day they never get to enjoy the food because they are too busy. We didn't have that problem as Nicole made sure we had own our time together during part of cocktail hour so we could eat and sit back and enjoy the moment with each other. She took care of any tiny detail that day so we didn't have to worry about anything and could just focus on having the best time celebrating with our friends and family. If you choose CT Wedding Group you will not be disappointed!

There are no words to fully capture how grateful we are for the team at CWG and how lucky we felt to have chosen to have our wedding at Lyman Orchards! Almost two months later and we are STILL raving and buzzing with happy energy from that day AND from the entire 3 year lead up where we always felt so respected, taken care of, and looked after. Nicole, Samantha, Mary Beth, Allie and every single person we interacted with from CWG were all the kindest and most helpful humans. We've never been the kind of couple who put much thought into what our wedding would look and be like, so we stepped into the process totally clueless. We viewed a ton of venues prior, but nothing was as breathtaking as the view at Lyman Orchards, and the folks at CWG were so honest and communicative from day 1 so we knew we'd be in good hands. When we made the tough decision to postpone because of covid, CWG helped us go from feeling like it was the end of the world to feeling totally at ease and at peace with that decision. Now for actual wedding day! Nicole was our day of coordinator and made sure we were always well fed, with our fav drinks in hand, and took care of every tiny timing detail so we could actually enjoy our day and be present. Every single guest we spoke to after the wedding said it was the most fun, most beautiful, and most delicious food they've ever experienced at a wedding! Since all our vendors were ones who worked extensively with CWG in the past at all their venues, there was a real sense of trust and a close-knit family/community energy. Although wedding day itself was the first time we were meeting a lot of the vendors, it felt like we had known each other for years (since I guess we had, via email lol). The feeling of getting to enjoy our own wedding day and just totally revel in such a fun, lighthearted, grateful energy is something we never could've expected and is totally priceless. My husband and I both come from customer service/hospitality careers, and CWG is the REAL DEAL. Even though I always rely on other people's reviews, I never actually take the time to leave my own. But wowowowow seriously - choosing to have our wedding at Lyman Orchards was the BEST decision we ever made. And it's rare that we ever agree on something ;)

Cate, Mary Beth, and the rest of the CT wedding group made this the most effortless and unforgettable day. Having to reschedule our wedding from 2020 to 2021, we expected additional obstacles, but they made wedding planning and the day of easy and fun. They were very flexible and had everything planned to the very last detail. Our guests are still raving about the attentiveness of the staff and the amazing menu! We are so thankful we chose this beautiful venue and team of professionals.

My husband and I tied the knot at Lyman Orchards on 6/19/21. From start to finish, the Connecticut Wedding Group was easy to work with and helpful every step of the way. We chose Lyman Orchards mainly because it's a gorgeous venue but also because we knew from previous weddings with CWG that their food was incredible. Their service and support also came highly recommended to us by other couple's who had gotten married with them. Samantha was wonderful throughout our entire planning process, helping to put us in touch with vendors and keeping an open line of communication to ensure we were on track. The day of our wedding, Cate was absolutely fantastic and made sure to take care of every little detail. Thanks to all their hard work, we had a beautiful, memorable wedding day; I wish we could do it all over again!

We could not speak more highly of CTWG and their staff. From Day 1 the staff was responsive and detailed with their work and any questions we had. The day of our wedding at Lyman was more than we could imagine. They brought our vision to life beautifully, and added touches of their own to match. The food, drinks and service was top notch. CTWG worked with us through Covid and other issues where we needed to postpone our wedding and made the transition of our wedding to a new date seamless and the least amount of additional stress. We cannot speak highly enough of all staff and services.

Our wedding at Lyman Orchards was a dream come true, and the same can be said about working with CT Wedding Group. When we first got engaged I did a venue search by distance from our home and Lyman's was the first result. I didn't even know you could get married there but I was sold from the first moment. Lyman's has always held a special place in my heart from my childhood, and my husband and I even had our first date in the orchard. How perfect right? Not only did we have the perfect venue but the team that we'd be working with along the way was perfection. We felt important and prioritized since our first meeting. When Covid forced us to postpone our June 2020 wedding to July 2021, the staff was quick to respond, ease our worries, and get everything in order and transferred for us. I was convinced that we'd have to hold our wedding on a weekday because of this venue's popularity but the universe came together and somehow managed to give us multiple Saturdays to choose from! The planning team was so helpful throughout our wedding journey, checking in every so often and reminding us about decisions that needed to be made. They were prompt with responses and always polite and thorough with their communications. The all-inclusive nature of this group makes wedding planning feel like a breeze. It will always have its stressful moments but having a team who always had an answer and made it feel like no big deal always made me feel better. Fast forward to our wedding day and the few days leading up - Jenna and Autumn were the most incredible team we could have imagined working with. They were so cool and relaxed while also making sure everything was taken care of the way we envisioned. No thought or idea of ours was dismissed or overlooked. When we arrived at the venue I nearly cried just seeing our visions come to life. They made sure we ate (!!!), our glasses were always full, and the "what's next" chats were consistent and clear. We felt like royalty. The night really does go by faster than you could ever expect, and the post-wedding blues are real, only because I could relive that night over and over and never get tired of it. I can't thank or give enough credit to Jenna, Autumn, and the rest of the planning team who we worked with over the past 2.5 years. After everything we went through with postponing, we had the perfect night and it finally all felt worth it.

Posting this to see if anyone has had a similar experience with CT Wedding Group. My fiancée and I scheduled our wedding for 9/4/2020. When corona virus hit, we had to postpone our wedding to 9/3/2021. The Barns gave us such an incredibly hard time about postponing it and they didn't even want us to change anything. The length of time to even get a response from the venue was incredibly long. I would have to text and email them to get a response, and even once had to post on their Facebook in order to get a call back. Mr. Jennings then had us cancel our wedding for 9/4, and re-schedule it for 9/3 but with lots of new fees and upcharges like charging $4,000 more for the site fee, which increased the price from $6,000 to $10,000 just to use the space, and increasing the per plate amount from $139.95 to $159.95. Originally Mr. Jennings said this was due to the fact that the wedding was now taking place in a new year, but we would not have postponed our wedding if corona virus didn't hit. I also reached out to CT wedding group to ensure that if legally we could only have 100 guests that we would be charged for 100 guests not our minimum count of 150 - they couldn’t give me a straight answer on that and after speaking to another couple it turned out they were being charged their minimum no matter the regulation. After a lot of consideration, we decided to cancel our wedding because a destination wedding in another state during corona virus was not the right move for us or our families. We had already paid $18,125.00. We gave seven months' notice of the cancellation. Mr. Jennings offered us $1,000.00 back, which is insulting when you've paid so much money. One couple we've been talking to is a military veteran who was being deployed before her wedding, and CT Wedding Group refused to return her money. Are other couples struggling with the same issues? The customer service has been terrible, and considering there is a pandemic going on, you would think that a huge venue like CT Wedding Group with multiple wedding sites would treat their couples with respect and understand what a hard decision it is to postpone or cancel your wedding. Luckily, we have since rebooked with a great vendor on Long Island, who is also part of a larger wedding group - and they're offering full refunds to their couples if they are unable to get married during the pandemic. That is the mark of great customer service, and a wedding venue I would recommend to my family and friends, not a group that takes advantage of people while they're planning the best day of their lives

My husband and I recently got married at Lyman Orchard at the end of September working with CT Wedding Group and we, along with our family, cannot rave enough about them! Throughout the planning process they were always readily available to help with any question or concern. Any time you call you speak to a person and if someone needs to get back to you it’s always in a timely manner. In short, from the planning and their responsiveness, to the food on our big day, to the minor last minute details- they made our wedding absolutely perfect!! Would HIGHLY recommend!!!!

We could not be happier with our Lyman Orchards wedding experience. It was truly everything we hoped for and more-our guests continually tell us it was the best and most personal wedding they’ve been too. The driving range and food spread was a huge hit. The planning team made our family feel like they got to be guests and enjoy the day.

CT Wedding Group and Lyman Orchards Golf Club went above and beyond for our wedding day! One of the biggest concerns was the heat for our July wedding. After asking about the number of fans that they had, 4 fans in addition to the four they already had were brought in for the outdoor reception that was held under the tent. Our guests were pleased with how smoothly the evening went and continue to tell us about how much fun they had at our wedding!

This venue was literally amazing. I was looking for an outside, casual but romantic feel and that is exactly what I got plus more. 1) Wedding Planning: I was planning my wedding from Florida which added its own set of logistical challenges. This venue was great because they provide almost everything; the food, set-up, event planners, etc. If you do not want to spend time booking your own caterers, picking out silverware, etc, this place is great because it saves you a lot of time. However if you want to be more hands on, they are fine with that too. The planning team answers all emails quickly and are available by the phone as well. They provide reminders of things you need to do each month and help keep everything organized. On the wedding day, you also have an Event Coordinator who helps keep everything running smoothly. This is so great because they know the ins-and outs of everything--as opposed to hiring someone who is not familiar with the venue to come in and coordinate the day. Allie was so calm, organized and kind and I felt I could completely trust her and relax! 2) Venue: The ceremony took place in an open field with a stunning backdrop of CT. If you visit and just look at the tent, it may not seem like the most beautiful place ever. However, you need to use your imagination with how it looks filled up with decoration. It again has a gorgeous backdrop, and a lawn area for cocktail hour. We decorated the tent ceiling with one of the options they provided and added flowers and everyone said it looked magical, enchanting, gorgeous, etc. 3)Food: So I honestly didn't even think about the food, but everyone was raving about it. To sum it up someone said "I did not expect much from the food, since usually at wedding it's made in bulk and is mediocre. But this food was amazing, the best i've had at a wedding, I would pay for this at a restaurant." Also since my sister also had a wedding at their sister venue, they gifted me a pretzel bar at the end of the night which was amazing! 4) Price: It was an extremely reasonable per person price for the venue--especially taking into consideration you get an entire wedding planning team from the day you book with them I highly recommend!

CT Wedding Group and Lyman Orchards truly delivered our dream wedding. The decor, food, and service were absolutely outstanding. Our coordinator, Allie, and Mia from Lyman Orchards went above and beyond to make sure every detail was taken care of. The Best of Everything Dessert station was exceptional and became the talk of the wedding. We could not be happier with our experience.

I don't have enough great things to say about our wedding on August 4th at Lyman. Mary Beth was an amazing wedding director to work with and truly helped us to stay organized and on target throughout the wedding planning process. The day of, they helped us have the perfect day! Allie was the day of coordinator-- she was on top of everything and brought my vision to life for all of my decor! She truly thought of things that I never would have thought of! She made sure we had drinks in our hands and food ready for us throughout the night when we were busy meeting with guests. She made sure we got our pictures taken and made it to part of cocktail hour. Our guests were impressed by the delicious food and ambiance, and the views of the course were beautiful. Overall, we are so thankful for everyone at CT Wedding Group and would recommend Lyman to anyone looking for a gorgeous outdoor tent wedding! We wish we could relive the day all over again!

I have no idea where to start because everything about CT wedding group and the venue was outstanding! Let me start with the team because without them We wouldn’t have had the most beautiful and me elrbe day of our lives. Marybeth was always there to listen, answer every question, and then some. Wedding planning can be stressful, and overwhelming but I didn’t feel any stress at all, it was all so enjoyable and fun. The team saw my vision and understood me, creating the most breathtaking day, filled with such beauty and detail. I must’ve emailed the team daily, sometimes more than once a day, and they got back to me right away and we’re kknd, explaining everything, making me feel calm and I completely trusted them. Jenna was my day of coordinator and I can’t say enough wonderful things about her. I didn’t have to think about anything, she kept me calm, and ran a well oiled machine that day! Jenna was there each step, every minute keeping everything in track, making sure we ate, danced, everyone was having fun. She helped my vision come to life with, taking all my leaves to crate a magical reception and ceremony. The team also gives you vendors they recommend who equally we’re fabulous. Now let’s talk actual food and venue, I mean come on the Orchards has the most Breath taking views, and so much to offer. Anything from an outdoor ceremony, golf pro who comes while everyone hits some golf balls, the longest package and outdoor games was a total hit! The food was top notch so thank you chef! Guests are told lme ting about how Delicious and original all the food was, especially that desert bar! Guests said the bartender was fast, attentive, and fun! I honestly xant day enough good things! Our wedding day is still talked about, people rememberer the staff, the food, and just how much fun it was. I couldn’t have had such a perfect, fun filled day filled with such memories and love with the team and this exquisite venue!

Mary Beth, Sarah and Allie deserve a big hug and a huge THANK YOU! They made my daughter's wedding so easy! They were so responsive and patient to our many questions, handled everything with such ease and finesse, their creativity is over the top, and their enthusiasm is contagious!! We can't compliment them enough on how happy we were with their service and the flow of the entire reception. The food was outstanding and the displays were so creative. ALL of our guests have consistently said this was the best wedding they've attended and were so impressed with the décor. And alot of that is due to them! We loved working with them and would recommend any of the CT Wedding Group venues. So thank you, thank you, thank you to all of them for being experts at wedding planning! We truly appreciate them making this a memorable day!

I’m not sure where to even begin! Planning a wedding can be overwhelming but working with the ct wedding group they made my experience one of the most relaxing things in a time of chaos!!!! All of the wedding coordinators were so nice and friendly and helpful. I could send hundreds of questions in to them and they instantly got back to me. The day of our wedding I was blown away by the amazing details that Allie had put together for my special day. Her creativity and design elements were incredible. I had so many compliments on the decor. I couldn’t say enough great things about the options that Allie helped put together. The food at this venue is to die for. I still get so many compliments on the food. I can’t get over how delicious everything was. So fresh and enjoyable. If you’re looking for a unique venue with fantastic scenery and amazing food choose Lymans!!!!! You and your guests will not be disapponted!

Here it is... First of all, there are not enough words to describe and express our happiness with CT Wedding Group since the moment we walked onto Lyman Orchards for our first visit! It was the only venue we looked at, and considering that we have always loved going to Lymans , it was the perfect setting for our tented reception. Every single staff member from Michelle, to Mary Beth, Allie and everyone in between including the Steve the chef, wait staff, bartenders, were so attentive, patient, responsive and so sweet!! You all made this journey for us such a breeze and so enjoyable. Our wedding day was the most perfect day. We were blown away by how everything we envisioned of a romantic vintage chic wedding came alive, how amazing every staff member was and how much we were able to thoroughly enjoy every moment without one worry! Most importantly, all of our family and friends couldn't stop complimenting the ambience, delicious and unique food and incredible wait staff who always had a smile on their face and singing or dancing while taking care of our guests!! From kids to elderly, everyone enjoyed our wedding and called it one of the best, mostly thanks to CT Wedding Group and all of their hard work and dedication! And we can't forget the special add ons- Golfing during cocktail hour and the Blazing Donut Station were a hit!! Thank you SO much, times a million!!

Our Wedding day was INCREDIBLE; from the decor, to the food, everything was amazing. The day ran perfectly and everything was timed so nicely. We were so pleased with the decor and how it matched the themes that Adam and I were picturing. Our families and guests cannot say enough about how wonderful the wedding was. Adam and I are so grateful for everything that the Wedding Planning Team at CT Wedding Group did for us. From start to finish we felt blessed to that we had an incredible team working with us. Mary-Beth was OUTSTANDING from day one, she was so helpful every step of the way. Mary-Beth with quick to communicate with us and was extremely prompt answering any questions we had. She went above and beyond for us and we cannot thank her enough. Lindsay did a great job as the onsite coordinator on the day of our wedding. Adam and I did not have to worry about a thing with Lindsay in charge. Lindsay was great about checking in with us and with making sure our family and friends' questions were answered promptly and taken care of. She made sure everything ran smoothly and took the burden off of Adam and I so we could just enjoy the day. We received several compliments from guests and family specifically about how cordial, professional, and on-top-of-her-game Lindsay was at the reception. We received so many compliments from our guests on the decor, food and the overall atmosphere. Family and friends raved about the food! We were worried about family and friends with food allergies, but the staff from CT Wedding Group was UNBELIEVABLE for several reasons; First, Mary-Beth was wonderful with being in-touch with the team who made sure those plates for guests with special food needs were kept separate and contaminant-free. Secondly, Lindsay did an amazing job checking in with each of our guests at the Wedding (also making sure I had plenty of gluten free options for dinner, etc). On top of it all, the wait staff and bartenders were excellent and so professional. They made sure all of our guests were well taken care of - and even made up plates for those who had to leave early. The decor was picture perfect, Lindsay and Mary-Beth really brought to life the ideas we discussed with them at our final meeting several days before the wedding. Using the ideas and accessories we brought, they crafted together the tables for name tags, gifts, and pictures of our families, which were above and beyond our expectations. They truly have expertise in decorations and creativity and really incorporated the elements of our theme. We couldn't have been more happy. Thank you all for helping us have an amazing wedding

Our wedding was held at Lyman Orchards on 10/1/16, and it was a perfect day, from start to finish - in fact, it was perfect from the day we booked until finish! There truly are not enough words of praise for Mary-Beth and Lindsay; they were both absolutely wonderful and made sure our day was as wonderful as it was. We worked with Mary-Beth from the day that we booked until our wedding day, and throughout the entire process, she could not have been more helpful, particularly towards the end, when she was instrumental in helping make back up plans for a not so great forecast. Lindsay was our day of coordinator, and she too, was fabulous. I can't imagine our wedding day without Mary-Beth and Lindsay there to oversee and make sure everything went as planned. We have received SO MANY compliments from our guests about our day, including many people who have said it was "perfect" and the "best wedding ever." Everything truly was amazing - the food was incredible, the tent looked better than I could have imagined, and everything was truly just so well run. We are so grateful for the ways that CT Wedding Group, Mary-Beth and Lindsay went above and beyond to make our day perfect - from Mary-Beth letting us ship umbrellas to her office due to a last minute rain forecast, arranging for warm coffee for our guests at the last minute during our ceremony due to unexpectedly cool temperatures, to always making sure we had a drink in our hands and food to eat...honestly, "above and beyond" doesn't do them justice. We cannot recommend Lyman Orchards highly enough ...any future brides and grooms are doing themselves a huge favor by having your wedding here, and having the pleasure of working with CT Wedding Group.

We just had our wedding at Lyman Orchards Golf Club on 9/24/16, and it was beyond anything we ever could have dreamed of. We were lucky that the weather was absolutely perfect (74 degrees and sunny), but even if it had rained, I know our day would have been incredible. From the first time we visited the venue, we knew we wanted to have our wedding here - in fact, it was the only venue we looked at, and we booked it that night! The team kept us in the loop about everything from food to decor, FAQs to timelines, and everything in between. It was so easy to communicate with the planning team (who are fabulous, by the way), and they always answered back quickly with exactly the information we needed. They were accommodating to us when we needed to change some deadlines and were always so helpful and happy to answer any questions we had. Our final planning meeting went so smoothly, we brought all of the DIY decor we had made and they took care of every single detail. The tent looked incredible at the wedding, honestly even better than I ever could have hoped for, and our centerpieces were exactly the way we'd hoped they would look. The food was AMAZING - everyone keeps raving about it! - and there were literally zero issues or complications whatsoever. The team covered every detail, big or small, and always had smiles on their faces. I can't thank Lyman and the CT Wedding Group staff enough for making our wedding day so amazing and exceeding our hopes by a landslide!!!

Lyman Orchards was a perfect venue for a true CT wedding!!! The staff at the Connecticut Wedding Group made everything so easy. We were married in the middle of July and it could not have been more perfect. We did our first look at the homestead and said "I Do" in the meadow! The views was breathtaking! We opened the driving range during the cocktail hour which got all of our guests up and enjoying themselves! The food was out of this world! The hors d'oeuvres to the appetizer and salad to the buffet dinner was all worthy of having seconds or thirds!! The day ended perfectly with the pie station! Everyone raved about the food! It helped make the night! Lyman Orchards was an absolutely amazing venue to have our wedding and reception and the Connecticut Wedding Group was an awesome set of people to work with in planning our wedding!!

Our May 2016 was beautiful, fun and most importantly, us and our guests had an amazing time because the service was impeccable. Mary-Beth, Michelle, Jess & team made sure our day was as perfect as possible and helped us coordinate every aspect of the event and then made sure it went off without a hitch. CT Wedding Group provides EVERYTHING you would need for a wedding - linens, the food, the booze, decor - and they make it so simple to plan. The food was amazing (my guests still talk about the mushroom ravioli) and the views are perfect. We got the golf package for cocktail hour and everyone had a blast! The event was managed so well - no one left hungry because the food was plentiful and delicious, the drinks were served well and fast, our signature cocktail was amazing, parking was easy - basically all the little things that make a guest's experience terrific were covered. Most of all, we were treated like family. Any time I called frantic with questions, needed opinions - or worried about rain! - I got a call back immediately. Emails answered immediately. Smiling faces and help when I schlepped my DIY decor into the tent for CTWG to set up the night before. They even drove us around on a golf cart for pictures and made sure we sat down and ate at the wedding! I can't say enough about how great the entire team is. They treat your wedding like it's theirs and it shows. The service and quality are unbeatable. Our guests can't stop raving about how fun the night was. Thanks team for making our wedding the best day ever!

I had my bridal shower in The Lyman Homestead. I have been going to Lyman Orchards for years, but I had never been inside this building. The place is so beautiful (a real hidden gem with vintage charm). We rented out the whole first floor and did a buffet brunch. There were different food/drink stations in each room, and it was fun to walk around and explore them. The food was delicious (everyone kept going back for more). My favorite was the desserts (especially the homemade apple cider donuts and pies). The staff were friendly and very attentive. We couldn't have asked for more!

Our wedding was nothing short of perfect! Jack, though it was his first wedding at Lyman, was incredible. We felt as if he'd been doing this forever. He was right there whenever I needed him. The food was delicious, the decorations were exactly as we wanted, and the employees are professional and experienced. The view from the ceremony site is spectacular. Several guests reported that ours was the best wedding they'd ever attended!! I'd recommend Lyman Orchards and CT Wedding Group to anyone; I already have!

Everything about our wedding at Lyman Orchards was perfect. And it had poured rain!!! We did our fair share of research, and while we still had other venues scheduled after seeing Lyman Orchards we knew right away that this was the place. From the incredible views and decorations to the food and drink it was amazing. The on-site coordinators that are provided are life savers. I knew throughout the entire planning process that they were all there for us. If I called- they had the answer, if I emailed- they responded within a few hours. Not only were we given great advice, but they knew the answers to our questions before we even knew we had them. The Connecticut Wedding Group is such a well organized group of people that made our day as perfect as possible. We went to a tasting that was hosted by CWG, so we knew what to look forward to. There are so many delicious options that it was hard to choose. I love that so much of the food used comes from local farms. We chose a pie package instead of the custom wedding cake. We chose a few flavors, and at the end of the night we were given the extra pieces to go home with. I knew the decorations would be amazing, but I was still shocked when I saw it all put together. It was simply breathtaking. Lyman Orchards far exceeded every expectation that we had, in making our wedding so perfectly unique.

Oliver and I truly had the wedding of our dreams on Sept. 20th! When thinking of our wedding day, the word PERFECT comes to mind! The day ran smoothly and effortlessly (for us anyway 😊), from getting ready at the beautiful Lyman homestead, to the ceremony at the meadow, to the reception under the tent, and right down to the end of the night packing up the cars! Michelle and the CT Wedding Group staff truly thought of everything, every last detail was taken care of. Their organization, attention to detail, and genuine thoughtfulness is so much appreciated. We felt comfortable and confident that our wedding day/night would be nothing but how we'd hoped it would be, and it was just that! We have received so many lovely comments about how personal the ceremony felt, how beautiful the decorations were, how amazingly delicious the food was, and how the night was a total blast!!!

A “Pinterest Perfect Day”, one of our guests raved! CT Wedding Group is composed of a serious group of rock stars all of whom truly pride themselves in making wedding dreams come true. There is literally not one point of their service that we would wish to correct or improve upon; the service provided to us and our guests was truly worth every single penny. Wedding Planning: The eleven month time lapse from the first time we contacted Mary-Beth McDowell until our wedding day, there were literally dozens upon dozens of emails, questions posed and decisions to be made about how to personalize our special day. Calling me a detail-oriented bride may be an understatement, but Mary-Beth, Tracy Pessina and their team of professionals were always available to discuss details small and large. Their communication was timely, professional, efficient and always reassuring. No matter what the challenge or worry of the moment, they were patient, calm and very clear in how best to support our vision for the day. Mary-Beth would not hesitate to jump in with her own opinions and gently steer us in the right directions when we were possibly making a bad choice. We always felt confident in her recommendations; we knew we were in good hands. Food: No matter what I say here, words will fall short of the praise that Steve Lisitano, Executive Chef and the rest of the team at Pavilion Catering deserve. At the summer tasting, in the dead of winter, Steve came over to talk to us about the menu options, what was available for tasting and which plates he simply didn’t want to prepare in the winter because it wouldn’t do justice to the vision for the dish based on the freshness of produce available at the end of the summer. Just hearing the way Steve talked about his menu offerings, my foodie husband and I instantly felt relief, trusting that the food would be amazing… We just didn’t realize HOW amazing! Also, an important note, Pavilion Catering was beyond accommodating for the various food allergies of our guests, ensuring that every single person felt taken care of. This makes an Italian Bride very happy! Lyman Orchards: While I know I cannot give credit to CT Wedding Group for our amazing weather, although Mary-Beth is a meteorologist, the grounds of Lyman Orchards would be beautiful no matter how hot it was. Simply picturesque for both the ceremony and reception locations; the expansive farms also made for amazing photos prior to. CT Wedding Group again went above and beyond, guiding us around the property to ensure that we got all of the photos we were after. Did I mention that our property guide was Jonathan Jennings, the company’s COO? I don’t know about you, but I’ve never known another COO to jump in and help the team like Jonathan did for us on our wedding day – literally driving us around in golf carts. He pleasantly accommodated all of our location desires, even those more extreme photos that we were after. He even made suggestions to add to our list. He drove us up to the highest point in Middlefield at sundown to capitalize on the breathing taking view and gorgeous natural light. I cannot wait for our photos!! While Lyman Orchards was the perfect backdrop for our wedding, they work with other venues as well. Simply put, I recommend CT Wedding Group for any bride or groom. If I had more than five stars to give, I happily would!

We recently tied the knot at a venue in CT and decided to have pie instead of cake! Lyman orchards made us 4 delicious flavors of pie- Apple, peach crumb, blueberry and cherry. We used an apple pie for our "pie cutting" and photos. They were amazing!!! I could have eaten one of each flavor by myself! For any one who wants to try something other than wedding cake I recommend pie! Especially from Lymans

Lyman Orchards is amazing. We had our ceremony in the peach orchards, and our reception at the golf club. The food was excellent, and the staff is amazing.
