Hi, I'm Lydia, owner & lead planner of Mackenzie James! From a young age I learned the importance of being a good host, the small details and of course a good party! All of these led to an interest in event planning. I started planning fundraising events and galas for non-profits. However, having spent years working for florists, catering companies and wedding venues, I quickly fell in love with weddings. Being a part of a couple's love story is the best job ever! I can't wait to make your dream day come true!

I truly do not know what I would’ve done without Lydia during my wedding and planning process! We were so insanely blown away by her professionalism, thoroughness, and organization. On my wedding day, Lydia arrived right as they opened and helped set up the venue just as I wanted it. She knew the entire plan top to bottom, and made the day go so much more smoothly. There were so many things that went wrong, but I as the bride never found out because Lydia had everything handled for me! She was my contact person for my vendors and was so great at fielding all questions and concerns. She is so incredible at her job, she allowed me to sit back and relax on my wedding day and be able to just attend my wedding instead of direct it! I will always remember how I felt on my wedding day, and Lydia allowed me to feel relaxed and able to take the entire day in without stress. I will recommend her over and over again, and so many of my friends and family have asked for her information after seeing her work. She was seriously the best planner, and we were so lucky to have her. Our wedding was so much better because of the hours of work and planning that she helped put into it. We will never be able to thank her enough!!

Lydia and I met to discuss what exactly I would need on the day of my wedding. She took detailed notes and made sure that vision became a reality. She helped me stay on time and organized throughout the day, and made sure I had a little fun too! While I’m sure she had many other clients at the time, I felt like she was attentive to my questions and she made me feel like I was the highest priority every time we spoke. She will take care to ensure your big day goes off without a hitch!

Lydia was by far amazing with her services. We hired her for a wedding and she went over everything there was. I would have missed a lot of big important details without her. She did a great job making sure vendors where on time and did a great job communicating with me on what info vendors still needed from me. I would recommend her to anyone who asked!!!

I chose Lydia for wedding day management.
Lydia was amazing, I would recommend her to any upcoming bride.
She is beyond helpful, she has a lot of experience and helped me fill in the gaps during the final months of planning. She also took a lot of the weight and stress off my contacting all my vendors, and letting them know of all the logistics of the wedding day. She is also extremely organized and the way she organized and presented the information was very helpful and straightforward.
The only feedback is she is very Type A, my wedding party thought they were being bossed around a lot. I would just recommend her to be a little more fluffy. Other than that, Everything went smoothly during the wedding day, we had no big hiccups or delays.
Lydia will take the reigns, so you can enjoy and have a beautiful and memorable wedding day! <3 <3

We really enjoyed our experience working with Mackenzie James. Our day-of coordinator, Lydia Foster, went above and beyond to make our special day run so smoothly. Lydia was on top of the ball when coordinating with our vendors allowing us to move on to other tasks before the wedding. She ensured our day ran seamlessly by keeping everyone on our timeline. Lastly, she was a tremendous support in collecting, setting up, and breaking down our decorations. We would highly recommend Mackenzie James for any couple looking for day-of planning.

We are completely satisfied with the service we received from Lydia and her husband. She's the best! She's very thorough and plans out every single tiny details we would have missed completely. She was very pleasant, very easy to communicate and work with. Very responsive to emails and text. She went above and beyond to make our vision come through. Our wedding was perfect, everything went smoothly just as planned, thanks to her planing and arranging. We can 100% recommend her to anyone who's about to start planning their wedding.

Look no further! Lydia from Mackenzie James Weddings is phenomenal. I was a guest at a friends wedding that Mackenzie James planned + I can't speak highly enough of the entire night. Every detail from the decor, to the timeline, to how she treated everyone at the wedding, Lydia was so helpful with everything my friend needed. She not only took care of the couple, but the vendors + guests as well. Her eye for design is spectacular, creating an experience for everyone!

I had the honor of working with Lydia from Mackenzie James Weddings & Events for two different events and she is incredible. She is very organized. She had spreadsheets and lists which I loved. The small items and details she thought of blew us away. Lydia is very creative. She was always suggesting great ideas and she could put a spin on things to keep them fresh and exciting for our guests. Lydia is always so positive and she has a calming effect. She is one of the hardest working people I know and she is determined to make her events even better than the hosts/bride and groom anticipated. I have worked with several wedding and event planners over the years and Lydia is the best of the best. Working with Lydia was one of the best experiences, I knew she was in control, she thought of everything and it allowed me to be stress free prior to our events and enjoy them.

I was the Best Man at a wedding she planned and the entire event was amazing. Probably the most beautiful wedding I have ever attended. Everything was perfect and the wedding party was able to relax and have fun the day of because everything went so smoothly. I would highly recommend!!
