Cancelled on us a month before our wedding despite putting down a deposit and signing a contract 6 months prior. The owner blamed an employee who no longer works there. He did not offer any alternatives and listed excuses for why they were not able to provide the service they had agreed to. After now being in a time crunch and calling other transportation services they were unsurprised to hear this story and it seems to be a pattern.

I was recommended Mackinaw Shuttle Service for my wedding by my venue. I am so glad I went with them. They were very affordable compared to other companies, and I was able to customize my hours and times for what worked for my wedding. They were very responsive leading up to the wedding, upfront about costs and retainer fees. My driver was Bill, he was great. We had the shuttle for 3 hours during the day for a "party" bus for the wedding party. We could bring a cooler with beverages (we signed a waiver of course), speaker, snacks, and basically anything we needed! We had a perimeter seating bus which worked perfectly for a wedding party. I sent our schedule to the company about a week before, and they confirmed the locations and sent me the contact info for our driver. On the day of, he was very punctual, the bus was very clean, and Bill was excited to be driving us around! I felt very safe keeping our belongings on the bus as we went to go do pictures and stopped at a brewery. At one point there was a funny smell on the bus that we told him about, and next time we got in it was completely gone. He really wanted to make sure we had a great time. He was also a very safe driver and accommodating and professional. I could not have asked for a better driver for our day! We then had the shuttle at night to bring guests back to the hotel. At that point there were some folks who had been drinking and needed the shuttle and left their car in the parking lot. Bill was ok with making multiple trips as we had more people than we planned on taking the shuttle. Overall, I was very impressed with this company's professionalism, customer service, and overall service! I would highly recommend Mackinaw Shuttle Service for any shuttle needs!

Mackinaw Shuttle responded very quickly and created a quote right away. On the day of, our driver Jim was super friendly and personable. The bus itself was very new and clean. The seats were comfortable and they had the heat blasting for us on our chilly wedding day. Our guests were very appreciative for the shuttle and had nothing but great things to say about Mackinaw Shuttle’s services. One thing to keep in mind is the rising gas prices. It was in our contract (so we were expecting this) but the agreed upon cost for the services did increase after the wedding day.

Mackinaw Shuttle had great communications and a very clear contract. We really enjoyed working with them. They were one of the few shuttles in the area that had availability. We unfortunately had to cancel our wedding due to COVID but prior to that were very confident in our choice for a guest shuttle. Their cancellation policy was flexible enough that our cancellation only cost us a $75 deposit.

It was super easy to set up transportation to and from our hotel for our wedding guests! The owner, Ken, was always super quick to respond to emails and made everything super easy! Jim, our driver, was absolutely awesome!! He came in the venue to congratulate us and wanted us to know that he was going to make sure that all of our wedding guests made it back to the hotel safely. It was nice knowing that he was looking out for them so that we did not have to worry!

What an organized shuttle service! They provided exceptional service for our wedding with multiple coordinated pickup times and locations over the course of a 6 hour period. They followed the detailed schedule I provided and all of our guests got exactly where they needed to go when they needed to be there. The wedding party was picked up on time and every single guest arrived in time for the ceremony. There aren't many shuttle options in Northern Michigan, but Mackinaw Shuttle will deliver for your big day. We highly recommend their service!!

I highly recommend Mackinaw shuttle. I recently got married at Castle Farms in Charlevoix, and needed a shuttle to get our bridal party and guests back and forth from our hotel to our venue. From the start they were easy to work with, and always got back to me in a timely manner. A huge thank you to Jim our driver for helping make our wedding seamless. He was there on time, was friendly to our guests, and responded to last minute changes quickly via text. He also went out of his way to take me and my husband from Charlevoix to our hotel in Petosky (a 30 minute drive) that we asked him to do after he dropped off our last group of guests. That was a huge request and was very last minute, and he was so nice and accommodating. He was a huge part of making our wedding so fun for everyone. Thank you again Jim! I would highly recommend Mackinaw shuttle.

We used Mackinaw Shuttle for our wedding and it was a mostly negative experience. Pros: Ken was easy to work with early in the process. Was flexible when we requested the bus an hour earlier only a few weeks before the wedding. Also the driver in the morning was fantastic - I think his name was Rich. He couldn't have been nicer, even gave the bridesmaids a tour of Petoskey - really made the morning great for the bridal party. Cons - The evening shuttle was driven by someone else. On the last shuttle, he dropped off our families at the last hotel and, when the bride's parents asked if he could make one last stop for them (they were staying at a house about 20 miles away) he said that his shift was over and it was their problem. My dad (who doesn't drink) watched it all and he said that the driver was both rude to my bride's family and couldn't have left fast enough - no suggestion for a solution, no sympathy for the situation, nothing. The whole experience really put a damper on what was otherwise a wonderful day. I called to convey this feedback and the woman who I was communicating with couldn't have cared less. She said it was their policy that the drivers can't take instruction from anyone except the bride and groom - something that was not expressed at that time by the driver. (I would have come out to help.) They had also overcharged me on some of the fares and I was working with this same woman to fix that - and she was very rude throughout that process as well. I ended up getting some of that money back - but not without haggling and having to re-calculated much of the costs on my own. There were many opportunities to fix our impression of this service - a genuine apology afterwards would have sufficed, someone reaching out to us proactively - but they punted on all of those opportunities. My overall impression was that the drivers are obviously hit or miss (the gentleman in the morning - awesome, the gentleman in the evening - rude and inconsiderate) and that they clearly don't care about whether or not they delivered quality service once they have your money. I would recommend looking for other vendors.

We used their service for our wedding. One shuttle was for the wedding party and one was taking our guests back and forth to hotels in Charlevoix. Overall, we could not have been happier with their service. The drivers were completely professional, on time and extremely friendly.

We used a 24 passenger van to transport our daughter's wedding party and guests to and from Downtown Charlevoix and Castle Farms. Our driver showed up on time and was very courteous to our guests, the van was clean and looked nice. Our guests were able to relax without having to worry about driving after a wedding reception in an unfamiliar area. They were thrilled with this service and almost everybody used the shuttle. I am so glad that we decided to have Mackinaw Shuttle transport all of us for this wedding. Thanks Ken for all your help!
