Pro tip: make sure to have Maddison Row as your first appointment for the day, because you'll end up cancelling all the rest!! Having never tried on wedding dresses before OR gone through a global pandemic -- needless to say I was a little anxious going into my appointment. As soon as I walked up to Maddison Row I knew immediately, this was the place I would find my dream dress. My mom and I walked in and was safely greeted by Michelle who would be my style consultant for the day. We had the entire studio to ourselves and everything was next level clean and safe. Michelle could not have been more kind, patient and overall INCREDIBLE. She immediately put me at ease and sat us down to talk design and style. Ultimately, I have no idea what I wanted and had a lot of vague dress descriptors. Before just diving in, Michelle gave us a tour of the dress room, talking passionately about every single designers rack and collection. She was so incredibly knowledgable about every single designer and the background was so helpful in finding my dress. Michelle then picked around 10-15 dresses for me to try on -- and they were all PERFECT. From the very minimal outline I gave her, she found exactly what I was looking for. Every dress I tried on felt like "the one". She dressed my body PERFECTLY and the styles she pulled ranged from safe choices all the way to totally outside of my comfort zone (which I loved the most, and I'm VERY traditional). After I tried on the last dress which I was sure was the one -- Michelle encouraged me to try on just one more -- and thank god she did because that final dress turned into the dress of my dreams. I then immediately cancelled every other dress appointment I had that day. I can't recommend Maddison Row and Michelle enough.

We had the most wonderful time wedding dress shopping here! This was the second store we went to and the service was amazing and so individualized! It of course helps that I found my dream dress here but I couldn't have done it without Michelle! Highly recommend shopping here for beautiful dresses and amazing people!

I would have given a 5 star rating except that my hemline wasn’t straight. I imagine they could have fixed it but covid had recently hit and I picked up my dress less than a week before my wedding so I had someone more local work on it. Otherwise, I give Lindsey and the overall MRS shop an unreserved 5 stars. I visited three highly rated bridal shops and the selection at MRS was the best I came across. I found my dress in the first visit. Lindsey was fantastic and the ambience is beautiful. Lindsey was fun, kind, and knew exactly how to match different pieces. She was responsive between appointments and worked with my tricky work schedule to schedule appointments. It was such a treat to work with her. I highly recommend MRS to any bride!

I went to 5 different bridal salons both in Dallas, TX and Charleston. I clearly saved the best for last! Michelle was fabulous to work with and made a great experience for my family and friends with me as well. She pulled only 5 dresses and I found the one from those! Not only that she made the experience of living out of town super easy. Maddison Row worked with my timeline to get fittings and alterations done when I was back in town for other planning to-dos and also made my rush order veil “no big deal” and took care of it seamlessly! The best dress shopping experience in Charleston! Michelle was so sweet and helpful with figuring out what style dress I liked! I found the most gorgeous dress and she went out of her way to make appointments work for us! When my veil arrived one week before the wedding ripped during shipping, she immediately was working to get a new and even more beautiful one rush shipped to me so I never felt nervous or worried for one second that it wouldn’t be fixed or arrive in time for the wedding. The store is absolutely beautiful and when we walked in we were greeted by Michelle who was both very friendly and stylish. She was so welcoming and offered us all a drink in adorable champagne flutes. It made the whole experience feel like a party. I ended up finding my dress at Southern Protocol, and not only was it absolutely gorgeous, it was on sale! I ended up not only finding my wedding dress but also bought an adorable dress for my rehearsal dinner! Michelle worked the whole time to find/create the exact dress I wanted and then was so helpful creating a timeline. It was a fabulous, fun and successful experience shopping at Southern Protocol.

The experience created at Southern Protocol Bridal is unlike any other. First the owner Michelle greets you at the door with the biggest smile, and invites you into their "living room". After finding out all about your future hubby and wedding Michelle tours brides around the store explaining each designers different style and forte, while also suggesting gowns that coincide with the brides taste and budget. The brides entourage sits back with a glass of champagne and enjoys some Frank Sinatra (Michelle's favorite :) Michelle's firm belief that if its the right dress, there is no need to be salesperson creates that most laid back and no pressure shopping experience. With wedding plans nowhere in site, I can say when the time comes this will certainly be where I get my dress!

What a beautiful store! We were looking for my sister and were greeted with the warmest welcome for the Southern Protocol team! They were so helpful to her in identifying the style that she wanted and direction she wanted to head with her dress. And though we did not end up with "the dress" there, they were still so excited for my sister to have found her dress and really helped her in narrowing down what her style was. I am a wedding planner as well and from a planner and maid of honor point of view, this is definitely a must visit if looking for your wedding gown!

Michelle and the girls here are so sweet! I came in during the week, and had the whole store to myself! I ended up with a custom dress, and I can't wait for it to get here! It was a much better experience than some of the other places in town, highly recommend!

I know I may be on the latter side of the reviews but my experience with Southern Protocol was extremely disappointing. My mother, matron of honor, and I made an appointment to try on dresses, and were looking forward to the experience. Once there, we went around looking for dresses, with little help. We were shown the the dressing room, and I was left to try the dress on, and clip me up by myself. My matron of honor attempted to help but we had no experience with trying on wedding dresses. The most help and or input was to take the dresses after I was done trying them on. All in all my appointment lasted 20 minutes much less than the 90 minute appointment I had expected. This was not the best experience for my second place to find a dress. I was hopeful after the reviews but I would never go back and I will let everyone know about my experience.

Michelle and her team at Southern Protocol were fantastic. After my daughter's engagement we scheduled appointments with more than a few bridal salons. Southern Protocol was first on the list and once we met with them we cancelled our other appointments. My entire experience from beginning to end was so wonderful at Southern Protocol Bridal. I actually work in the wedding industry and it was so much fun actually being able to be the bride for once and they most certainly made me feel that way. I selected a beautiful Ivy and Aster gown which they tailored perfectly for me and even customized the cap sleeve so that I could dance the night away with my arms raised high in the air. Even after the big day their service of getting the gown preserved was so nice to offer. Literally this full service bridal boutique I would highly recommend for all my brides to come! They truly go above and beyond and make you feel beautiful!

Pinning models, dressing models in small spaces, loaning out gowns and day long photo shoots with designer dresses (especially at the beach or a muddy farm or in the rain) can be stressful, but you would never know it working with Michelle as she is always kind, considerate and approaches everything she does with passion and a smile.

Dress shopping at Southern Protocol Bridal with Michelle is what every bride imagines the event will be like! The store is beautiful and Michelle is incredibly attentive and dedicated. When I wanted to try on a specific gown that was not in stock, she ordered and had it shipped for me to try on that week! Michelle is knowledgeable about her gowns and the designers, very communicative by phone and email, and genuinely cares about her brides. I shopped at 7 different bridal salons and Southern Protocol Bridal was hands-down my best experience.

Lindsay and her team are amazing. During your appointment you have the whole store to yourself! I went about 11 months before my wedding and was between 2 dresses. I ended up picking the one that was more comfortable to me at the time...fast forward to my first fitting 2 months out and i was no longer in love. I was slightly embarrassed about it, so I said nothing and they worked on fixing the arm holes and altering it how I wanted. My next fitting - same thing. However, my mom was with me and realized I wasn't 100% happy. It had NOTHING to do with Lindsey or the seamstress - they are unreal. We talked to Lindsay about it - she was supportive and unbelievably kind. We came back after her last appointment of the day and she let me buy a dress off the rack - what would you know... I ended up with the other option. I had lost weight, causing me to be less comfortable in my first choice and more comfortable in the other. Long story longer...they were able to fit me in for 3 more fittings the week of my wedding and turn the dress around for me and it was perfect! Lindsay pays attention to every detail and makes sure it fits flawlessly! THANK YOU LINDSAY!

The shop is beautiful, the dresses are beyond amazing and I loved that I had it all to myself. Michelle was so sweet and helpful, I have the fondest memories of finding my dress now. She is very quick to respond to emails, and keeps me up to date on my dress as it's being made/shipped. I can't wait to go back for my fittings, well worth traveling to go see them! This place is absolutely incredible. Southern Protocol was the first gown shop we went to and thank goodness for that! The gown selection there is beyond what I could have imagined. They have beautifully structured fitted gowns, romantic flowing gowns, elegant a-line gowns, and just about every style a bride could want. While the unique selection of gowns initially won me over, working with Michelle really set this boutique apart from other shops we visited. Michelle has extensive knowledge of the designers and each of their gowns. She made me feel so comfortable and cared for throughout the entire process. I'm a Charleston Wedding Planner but recently had my bride-moment when I got married here in February! By choosing to go to Southern Protocol, you are choosing to have the best experience of your entire planning process! As a bride, I loved my experience with Southern Protocol (and I had been to a couple other boutiques prior) and truly appreciated the level of service offered here! Working with Michelle was one of my favorite parts of being a bride (she is THE best!) and I'll tell you why... Buying the dress: From the first time I walked in the door (the cutest salon ever tugged on my Kate-Spade-loving heartstrings), my mom and I were treated like queens. We were able to have a mid-week private appointment the day I found my dress which was so special for us. We were allowed to browse and choose some things we liked and take as many photos as we wanted (makes a difference when trying on different styles!). I tried several dresses on and was allowed to walk in them, try different accessories with the ones I really loved, etc. Once I found "the one" Michelle walked us through the process + what we could do to customize the gown. After I placed my order that day, I realized I wanted to add buttons to the back - all I did was email Michelle, she contacted the designer, and it was done! Dress Arrived from Designer: When my dress arrived, Michelle contacted me to come in and try it on. It fit like a glove - testament to Michelle's abilities to properly take measurements (I've heard so many horror stories as a planner about dress measurements gone South!) Southern Protocol also kept my dress on-site, so I never had to worry about taking it home or storing it. Other Appointments: Michelle was always open to me coming in and trying on the dress again and again! She never turned this down + always encouraged it. I realized partway through my planning that I wanted an overskirt. I was able to consult with Michelle, she sourced a few great options, and I came in to try some amazing items! I also ended up finding a beautiful belt + veil from So Pro too! Alterations: Alterations are easy with Southern Protocol. They have someone "in-house" that works with their brides - which means, they are familiar with their dresses. I came in with all of my stuff, Michelle was there to oversee everything and it was easy breezy. I was unfortunately in the middle of a cross-country move, and scheduled my appointment to try on my altered dress just 4 days before my wedding in Charleston. I came in and the fit was absolutely perfect! After the Wedding: You're contacted by the boutique after the wedding to be featured as part of their "Our Belle" campaign. It spotlights real brides that they work with everyday! It was a fun way to recap the big day, share photos with them (they love gushing over pretty brides, who doesn't) and be featured as a bride! I know that was lengthy, but a true spotlight on the experience from start to finish. I will recommend Southern Protocol again and again + definitely go there for any future needs - formal parties, anniversaries, etc. Thank you for going above + beyond in style, service + sass! I went to almost all the upscale wedding boutiques in Charleston and Maddison Row was by far my favorite. I was very impressed by their quality of dresses and the girls who manage the place are a blast and very helpful. Since I live in Hawaii they were so accommodating in planning my dress fittings around my flight schedule. They were very personable and it was overall an awesome experience.

The ladies were able to bring in a dress from their other location for me, they were accommodating with the fact i did not live in Charleston and the communication to keep me in the loop of the stage my dress was in helpful as being a distant bride is a challenge.
