Owner, Madison Hummel, is a certified Wedding Designer from the Event Leadership Institute, as well as a Virginia Tech graduate. She brings her passion and experience to design unique weddings based on her clients' individual personalities and tastes. Pairing her deep knowledge of local vendors, Madison can turn the details about your love story into your dream wedding day.
With experience working at a variety of venues including Larz Anderson House, Meridian House, Daughters of the American Revolution, Kent Island Resort, The Pendry, Early Mountain Vineyards, and many more, the Madison Avenue team has experience working in any venue you desire.

The best decision that we made was to hire Madison and her team. As the mother of the bride I thought I could do it all--but looking back I was 100% wrong. Madison and her team brought experience, professionalism and creativity, as well as personal commitment to the process. From the first time we met, I could see that she listened to what my daughter imagined her special day would look like. We had already chosen a beautiful location and Madison was aware of all the rules attached to it. Not only did we need music, flowers, photography and catering, but we also needed every chair, table, dish and glass. A daunting process, but Madison provided with us with great options that complemented the site as well as what my daughter envisioned. She and Paige spent time developing a relationship with my daughter that made decisions and proposals meaningful. The process "seemed" slow at the beginning, but she had a process to ensure decisions were made at the right time. It was nice to have someone else tell my daughter that something was due! Fast forward to the wedding week--everything fell into place. There was no last minute rush from my perspective, and the moment we arrived at the hotel to get ready, I did not worry about a thing. Her attention to detail allowed me to enjoy the entire day. Not once did I worry something would go wrong. She had a handle on all the vendors and everything fell into place. The venue looked spectacular and nothing was missed in terms of what my daughter envisioned. No detail was missed or out of place. I truly enjoyed the entire night and the only reason that happened was Madison and her team.
Where to even begin! I found Madison and her team about two months after my husband and I got engaged, leaving 9 months to plan our whole wedding. At the time, it felt nearly impossible. However, Madison and Paige hit the ground running and didn't stop until our wedding day was over. Throughout the whole planning process, Madison and Paige were unbelievably responsive, accommodating, and so creative. Any ideas my husband and I had, they always knew how to make them come to life. When we saw our reception area for the first time, my jaw dropped and the only thing I could think was that they had made my dreams and my pinterest board come to life. It was everything we could have dreamed of and more. Madison and Paige were very professional and it was such a pleasure to work with them. Even though it was business, it truly felt like they were our friends helping us plan our wedding. We can't recommend Madison Avenue Eventd enough!
As the mother of the bride, I would like to give Madison Hummel and her wonderful staff at Madison Avenue Events, a five star-plus rating! In less than a year, they produced our daughter’s dream wedding. When Kristen and Nate announced they wanted to get married 10 months after their engagement, it truly felt like a daunting task lay ahead of us. The best decision Kristen made was to hire Madison as her wedding planner. With her excellent organizational skills, her trusted list of vendors, and her phenomenal flair for design, Madison led us through the process of planning Kristen’s and Nate’s wedding. I can honestly say it was a stress-free and pleasant experience for me! Most impressive was that Madison listened to exactly what Kristen and Nate wanted and their wedding met every one of their expectations, down to the last detail. Madison found the perfect wedding venue; she presented several vendors for each category; she reviewed all of the contracts; she worked with the florist and caterer to design a beautiful tablescape where guests enjoyed a delicious dinner. On the day of the wedding, Paige took the lead and attended to every detail — keeping us on schedule and coordinating all the vendors and activities that were planned. She was terrific! This allowed our family to truly enjoy Kristen’s and Nate’s wedding without having to worry about a single thing. It was an elegant wedding and a fun reception where guests did not want to leave at the end of the evening — a true testament to a job well done by Madison and her staff! Thank you all very much!

We are so happy to have worked with Madison and her team to make our wedding a reality. From the bride: Enlisting Madison was my now-husband’s pre-wedding gift to me. And she truly was a gift. She was our “wedding hero” in so many ways – beginning with our somewhat late start and last minute need to switch venues after the venue we thought we finally had locked down was suddenly no longer an option. She and her team got us through all the details efficiently and with good humor, volunteering good options for other vendors and adjusting for our particular quirks. From the groom: She solved problems before I knew they existed and fixed my mistakes before the bride knew they existed. Worth every penny.

We hired Madison for her day-of planning service. Madison was with us at every step of the process and always looking out for us, making herself available to jump on the phone with vendors, accompany us for venue walkthroughs, and always ask the right questions. The day of, she and her team had everything covered. They made sure the venue was setup to our liking and our vendors were ready to go, kept us on our schedule, and ensured a seamless and joyous event took place.

Madison and Paige helped mainly with our wedding ceremony and they were fabulous. Their communication skills made us very comfortable while we did not know where to go with the wedding planning. They were always on time for every meeting and well prepared. My officiant has done so many weddings. He complimented after the wedding rehearsal about how smooth it went and told us it was the best one and well structured. They were also very knowledgeable about what they do and had all the answers to our questions. You will know there are countless decisions that has to be made during the preparation process, and they always made it simple for us. You could tell they were experienced individuals by working with them. We enjoyed their help a lot and we would highly recommend them if anybody is looking for a wedding planner! Thank you for helping us to coordinate our wedding perfectly!

Madison Avenue Events nailed it. Jenn was our coordinator, and she was absolutely incredible. We literally would not have been able to have such a beautiful, fun, and smooth wedding had it not been Jenn. She coordinated the timeline with all of our vendors, had us exactly where we needed to be when we needed to be there, and took away so much stress.
We owe the happiest day of our lives to Jenn and her team at Madison Avenue Events.

Madison and her team were incredibly professional and attentive. She responded to all my emails and questions very quickly. She completely captured my vision for our wedding and made it happen. I didn’t have to think or stress about anything. She was on top of everything. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect thanks to her. Would highly highly recommend her and her team.
Madison was amazing to work with and made the wedding planning process so much easier! We hired her about three months prior to our wedding and she jumped in right away even though we booked her for only six weeks out. Madison uses an excellent software, Aisle Planner, to keep couples organized. The wedding rehearsal and day went very smoothly, and my wife and I cannot recommend her and her team enough.
We were married on Labor Day Weekend at the Westin in the National Harbor and the entire Madison Avenue Events team was nothing short of spectacular. Their attention to detail was incredible during planning and they took it upon themselves to make the entire weekend perfect. We had last minute guests cancel, vendors arriving late, etc but the team took care of EVERYTHING. From parking to navigating impromptu fireworks to an after party at the local piano bar- this team has your back making sure everything goes smooth. (Big shoutout to Jenn!)
Aisle planner was difficult to navigate at first but came in clutch during seating!
