Hiring Karina for our wedding was absolutely the best decision we made. She was lovely and fun from our very first meeting, and made us feel relaxed and supported throughout the entire planning process. I honestly cannot imagine how we could have pulled off what we did without her.
We were planning a wedding in Hilton Head from overseas (my partner and I live in Sydney, Australia) and she was flexible in coordinating online meetings and figuring out ways for us to meet with vendors when we were back in the US for short amounts of time. She gave us just the right amount of options for every decision, keeping us on track and focused on the right things at the right times. She also knew the perfect vendors for us and was so well connected on Hilton Head. All of this meant that we got to focus on the 'fun stuff', which she guided us through with as much or as little direction as we needed. This included helping us to figure out our design vision, which was fuzzy at the start to say the least. Her guidance in what would work well together, what we would need or not need, etc. meant that we knew that everything would come together even if we were not design experts ourselves. She is clearly extremely experienced in what she does, and did an exceptional job at helping us to create a wedding that felt fully like us. She even helped create some little 'surprises' for us at the wedding, like a hidden mickey on our cake, after us telling her about how we like Disney.
On the weekend of the wedding, she reassured us she had everything under control, which meant that we could just enjoy all the different events and seeing family and friends again. Everything ran so smoothly, she ensured we were in the right place at the right times, and everyone in the wedding party raved about her afterwards.
We are SO grateful to have had Karina with us throughout the process. She made it fun and relieved so much of our stress. Anyone looking for a wedding planner would be lucky to work with her - we certainly feel we were! Thank you so much for everything! - Brittany & Liam
I can not rave about Karina enough. We hit it off right out the gate, when she completely understood the mission to help me create a winter wonderland wedding, while avoiding my fear of it looking like Frozen Threw up in there. She is so kind, she juggled not only the pressures of being a wedding planner, but all the variable personalities that came in to play when planning mine! Karina is so beyond organized, even down to the minute, and there’s nothing my Type A brain could have needed more. Karina made visions i didn’t explain well, come to life even more beautiful than I imagined, and often went to battle for things i wanted from our venue, in a more tactful way than I likely would have myself. When Karina unfortunately got Covid 2 days before our wedding, she shared tears with me, but already had an entire back up plan up and running before I could think about it, and had the best possible backup in place to fill her spot. Our substitute wedding planner was so impressed with how organized everything was. I couldn’t recommend Karina and her team enough, they truly go above and beyond, and made it so my wedding day was absolutely carefree in my mind!
Working with Karina was hands down the best decision we made in our entire wedding planning process. From the first messages we exchanged, we knew she understood our vision and had the experience and expertise to help us achieve it. Her professionalism and patience was evident every step of the way, from her communication with all our vendors to her organization leading up to and on our day. She gave us such great ideas to build upon ours and we looked forward to every planning call we had with her. Whenever we faced bumps along the way, she already had an alternative solution ready to go. Just her presence during our venue visit, tasting and the day of was calming and set our minds at ease. We cannot recommend Karina enough—and we’re so glad my sister and her fiancé will also be working with her for their wedding, as well!
Karina and her team at Magnolia Affairs are LIGHTS OUT! I will admit, I was at first skeptical about hiring a day of wedding planner (after all, I consider myself very organized). However, after speaking with Karina for our initial consultation, I knew she was the perfect person for the job. To put it simply, Karina & her team made sure our destination wedding on Nantucket was EXACTLY how we envisioned it! She is incredibly professional and friendly, very organized and thorough, and was flexible with meeting times to accommodate my busy schedule. She was very generous and even offered the use of her own equipment (for example, a donut wall to use for our dessert since our venue did not supply one, rather than to buy one ourselves). Karina also assembled our wedding tote bags to pass out at our welcome party, which were a huge hit! We are still GLOWING from the 5 star service provided by Magnolia Affairs. Hands down, this was one of the best decisions we made in planning our wedding. I am forever grateful to Karina & her team.
Could not recommend Karina enough! We purchased the "month-of" package but she went above and beyond for us the entire engagement. She handled our covid reschedule with such ease and took care of everything quickly and efficiently. When the month-of finally came, she took over all the vendor communications, answered my million questions, was professional and friendly the whole time. Truly phenomenal service and person!
Karina was the BEST decision I made. My husband and I got engaged in December 2019 and by mid January we had most of the details locked in. October 10,2020 was the date. Our original plan was to get married on Nantucket and make a weekend out of it for all of our friends and family. It was undoubtedly going to be the most fun weekend ever. Karina was so amazing - she came to our house to work on all of the details, ensure the timeline made sense, and that we were going to get everything out of our day that we wanted. All was great until Covid happened. We had to change our wedding 3 times. Karina was a life saver each time, helping us figure out ways to adjust with the all of the ever changing guidelines and even find us a private house on the island to host the event. She put us in touch with all the right people and was always following up and keeping us looped in on updates etc. 5 days before our wedding she even came to our house, packed up her entire car with all of our stuff, and took it back to the island so we could be ready to set up when we go there.
Well, 3 days before our wedding, and 1 day before we were going to head to Nantucket there was a change in regulations and we would have to cut our wedding down from 40 ppl to 10. 10!? We had rented this huge house, caterers, a DJ, and ice cream truck, outside bathrooms, and a huge tent for 10 people!? When Karina called me she told me to sit down when she told me the news. And I cried. And she listened. And then she made the impossible possible. We had three options in that moment - one of them being we could move the wedding to Chatham and she already knew a venue that was available. Yes!! Karina truly is a miracle worker. We ended up with a stunning private venue on the water with everything you could hope. It wasn’t the wedding we had planned initially but it was nothing short of a dream. If it weren’t for Karinas guidance, expertise, and support along the way I know for certain we wouldn’t have gotten married in 2020. She is amazingggg and I would recommend her time and time again. Not to mention she is just an awesome human who is so kind, caring, passionate about her work, and loves dogs. ❤️ Thank you Karina!!!! We appreciate you!
Without one shred of a doubt, I could not have had my wedding without Karina. She is organized (this is an understatement), patient with the bride and brides family, persistent with vendors, personable in every way possible, and simply gets the job done. She is transparent and extremely easy to communicate with. As a covid bride trying to plan a decent and covid-friendly backyard wedding on Cape Cod, Karina put my mind at ease with each and every meeting/conversation. She cares about her couples and that shows through her extreme attention to detail both leading up to the wedding and on the wedding day. She genuinely makes you feel like you are the only couple she is working with, which I was beyond impressed by. As a bride, I did not have to worry about one single element of my wedding on the big day. She handled it all (even down to handling and adjusting wedding details in accordance with the weather). Couples would truly be lucky to book her to plan their weddings. She will make your life a breeze during what normally is a stressful process.
If you're not sure if you "need" a wedding planner/ day of coordinator... let me tell you, you do! Karina made planning (our second wedding) a breeze. She brought our vision to life and took care of all the day of "things". Not only did she make our wedding day a dream, but she helped organize the most perfect rehearsal dinner. I'm really not sure what I would have done without her. She's seriously the greatest, ever.
Karina and Magnolia Affairs are absolutely awesome. I really don’t know where I would have been without Karina and her crew. My now husband and I are from coastal Virginia, but live in Nantucket Massachusetts. We decided to have our wedding on Nantucket. Planning a wedding anywhere is difficult but 30 miles out to sea there can be some challenges. Karina came into our lives and completely took charge and made wedding planning on Nantucket look seamless. She was in constant communication with our photographers and vendors. The day of the wedding she was at the venue bright and early. She knew exactly what we wanted, and made my vision even more beautiful than I could have imagined! If you’re considering hiring Magnolia Affairs for your wedding let me save you the time and stress in deciding... Do it! I swear it’ll be the smartest decision you make on your wedding day besides marrying the one you love.
When I started planning my wedding, I did not want to get a planner, but I'm so happy we did and so happy we chose Karina and Magnolia Affairs! We had chosen the majority of our vendors already, but Karina offered fabulous suggestions for the rest. We didn't have a specific vision for our Lowcountry wedding, so we told Karina what colors we liked and let her do the rest! In addition to creating a beautiful backdrop for our special day, Karina was essential in making the day run smoothly. From reassuring my mom that it wouldn't rain to making sure our flameless candles had batteries just hours before the reception, she took care of everything. Throughout the planning process, Karina worked with our busy schedule and made time to videochat with us since we live in Florida. We are so grateful for Karina and her team for helping us plan a beautiful wedding ceremony and throw a party we'll always remember.
Our wedding was 8/3/19 at Dataw Island, and hiring Karina as our month-of coordinator was not just a purchase but an investment! My parents and I agree that the decision to use Magnolia Affairs was the best vendor choice of our entire wedding. Leading up to the wedding, Karina was there to answer any etiquette questions and logistical questions that I had during planning. Then, Karina took care of everything on the day-of, allowing me and my family to relax and enjoy the day without worries of anything happening. During the wedding and reception, she kept everything running smoothly and was available for any request or question that I had to ensure a wonderful and memorable evening. She took care of me and my groom, getting our drinks and hunting down my favorite flavor of cake. My parents even raved about her actions after the wedding, packing all the decor up and loading it into cars herself. I cannot recommend Karina enough as a wedding planner if you want peace of mind and to feel truly taken care of! Thank you so much, Karina!
Karina was AMAZING! She made the entire planning process so easy and our wedding day went so smoothly. She went out of her way to make sure every detail was perfect! She was so easy to communicate with. She offered phone calls and video chats periodically throughout the planning period to check in and discuss the little details. She worked closely with my photographer to create a timeline for the entire day which took away so much stress. The day of the wedding, I didn't have to worry about any decorating or coordinating- she took care of everything! I cannot say enough great things about her. Karina was exactly what I needed to cross the finish line in my wedding planning. I found Karina 3 months prior to my wedding when I already did most of the planning but due to my job and finally decided that I needed a day-of coordinator, I found Karina and she was the best gift my we gave ourselves. Immediately, Karina was very prompt in communication and made herself available in any method of communication needed. She ensured we went through all the critical decisions we needed to make and even gave us great local tips we did not know of or wedding tips we should consider. On our 1st visit out to Hilton Head (3 weeks prior to wedding), we had many flight cancellations and troubles getting out to HHI, Karina stepped up and ensure all my vendor appointments were rebooked and took care of all communications to the other vendors. Karina worked with all my vendors to ensure the timing and schedule on the day of turned out well. She most definitely ran a tight ship to ensure everything worked out well for my wedding - that's something a bride can be thankful for. In the end, Karina was there from top to bottom. She went above and beyond in putting up the decors exactly how I envisioned it and making sure I had nothing to worry about. All in all - I would most definitely recommend Magnolia Affairs to anyone going through a wedding and needing a little support or help.
Karina was nothing short of an Angel throughout my entire wedding planning process. I was completely clueless and she was my guru. Planning a destination wedding is extremely stressful, but Karina was so knowledgeable and available it made the planning process so much fun! Karina helped get us through the ups and downs from simple to hard decisions throughout our wedding planning. Our families had separated parents and hard decision of where and how to walk through it. Karina steppes up to the plate and helped us make it simple and easy throughout our wedding day. Her talent shows! On our wedding day, I experienced the headache that I’ve heard many brides say they’ve experienced from all the pins being in there hair. She helped nurture me so I could get back to my reception and enjoy our most special times we all cherish! Karina has great communication skills and will be there to help you through anything that comes your way! She’s a trooper and number one in my books! Karina was heaven sent! One thing about planning a wedding is sometimes it can be stressful because you want everything to be perfect. Karina was there every step of the way to help me breath easier and everything turned out better than we could’ve ever imagined!! She also ran the fastest sprints I have ever seen to get the wedding rings I left in the bridal suite (sorry about that Karina)!!
Karina is the absolute BEST. My husband, Ryan, and I can say nothing but good things about Karina. We had our wedding at Red Gate Farms in Savannah, Ga which paired us with her. From the time we met, she was very informative and looked out for our best interest. I didn’t know much about weddings or what I wanted so she guided me through the entire process and made sure our day was perfect. She kept a timeline of wedding day that was filled out over time. We would talk about once a month and a fill more details in as we went a long. Each conversation, she would give me more details to think about for the next time we talked. She communicated with all of my vendors to take some stress off my plate. Just when we thought she couldn’t get any better, our wedding day came! she brought her husband and they were a great team! They were decorating tables and setting everything up. She made sure Ryan and I were where we needed to be when we needed to be there. We didn’t have to worry about anything. They brought us water during pictures to make sure no one got dehydrated and really any thing else we needed. Our day was absolutely perfect thanks to her. ❤️
We were married in Hilton Head Island, SC at shipyard beach club in June 2018. I began working with Karina over a year and half ago and what a wonderful year and a half it was! My fiancé proposed and I ventured out to find a wedding venue and by chance found myself the best wedding planner I could have ever asked for! Karina was extremely accommodating, being that I was a local bride and a teacher, she was always willing to meet me at coffee shops around town town and even evenings to make sure she was accommodating my schedule! I am also not originally from the area so my family was all out of town, and having Karina there was like having a second MOH! My favorite thing about Karina was she knew how to perfectly handle my anxiety and to always reassure me that everything was going to be perfect. She listened to me and gave the best advice when it came to the difficult wedding decisions! There was a time in my life where I thought, yeah I can plan a wedding myself, looking back, I truly do not even know what I would have done if I did not have Karina by my side. Trust me it is so worth it! The stress that was relieved from me the month before my wedding, and especially the week of my wedding was worth gold to me. She took care of everything so I could spend the entire week with my family. From making phone calls, to decorating, and to ultimately making my wedding day the most amazing day I could have ever asked for! My bridal party and family have continued to even rave over how amazingly planned and organized my wedding was! Karina is an amazing person inside and out and will make your wedding day everything you dreamed of and more! Karina is absolutely fantastic! We originally were working with a different coordinator and were transferred to Karina early on in our planning. From our very first meeting Karina put us at ease and assured us that we were a priority to her. Her warm and welcoming demeanor made her so fun to work with. Communication was a breeze with Karina. Depending on what we needed to accomplish we were able to have a quick phone call or facetime meeting and she responded via text/email so quickly. On top of being super organized, Karina came ready to share ideas to help enhance our day. The last month before our event Karina was invaluable. 5 Stars- My husband and I got married last September in Hilton Head, and Karina coordinated our wedding. From start to finish, she was organized and on top of things, and put us both at ease in regards to planning our wedding from afar. She provided us with a large selection of highly reputable vendors in Hilton Head and we went solely on her recommendations for many of the vendors we used for our wedding- we could not have been more pleased!! She was very flexible and accommodating when we made changes to things like reception layout, menu, linens, etc. She was very gracious to work with an out of town florist (who my husband and I had worked with previously) and everything turned out beautifully. We made several trips to Hilton Head before the wedding, and Karina met with us each time- She was very thorough and made sure all our questions were answered and every small detail taken care of before we left. The wedding day itself could not have run more smoothly and was absolutely perfect- she made sure the day was absolutely flawless, and it is a day we will remember forever. We heard nothing but amazing feedback from our guests about how well put together our wedding was, and we cannot recommend Karina enough for coordinating your Hilton Head wedding!!
Katrina helped coordinate my wedding in June 2017. She was absolutely amazing! I had a million questions and she literally helped me every step of the way. At one point I was unsure about finances and she literally broke down everything for me to help me find the best deal. She made our wedding day perfect! People continue to brag about how organized, smooth and just gorgeous our wedding was. The day of my wedding I literally didn’t worry about anything and when I arrived at the ceremony it was absolutely everything I ever wanted. I would highly recommend Katrina to anyone planning a wedding!
We were married in August 2017 in Hilton Head, SC. Karina was our wedding coordinator and she was simply amazing! She was there for us throughout the entire planning process; communications were through email, text or calls and were always returned immediately or within only a few hours. This was especially important since it was a destination wedding and we relied on her suggestions and expertise to make many decisions . She made our wedding day experience so pleasant and stress free!! She decorated everything so beautifully even adding some extra touches of her own, and she made sure that every last detail was taken care of so that the day went by smoothly. She was always there making sure we had everything we needed. She seemed to be everywhere all at once, whether it was making sure we had all the food and drinks we wanted, our parents had drinks or whatever they needed, assisting my sister-in-law carry the stroller down the stairs to help walk her son, to helping the photographer capture the pictures she wanted and many other tasks to make the day go as planned. We did not know how she did it ALL! She even made sure we had appetizers and cupcakes saved in the bridal suite so we did not miss out. We cannot say enough about her, she is amazing! Without hesitation, we would recommend Katrina as an excellent wedding coordinator/event planner. Book her now if you are beginning to plan a wedding you will not be disappointed!!
