About this vendor
Based in Richmond, VA, Mahogany Hill Weddings provides partial planning and day-of-event coordination to couples in DC and Virginia. Owner Kendall is an expert at pulling together last-minute wedding details. Her team caters to couples who have done a lot of their own planning. They will swoop in just before the big day to add the final touches.
Kendall discovered her gift for organizing weddings after planning her own. She always enjoyed arranging family events and vacations. Now, she has turned this enjoyment into a successful career. This passionate planner’s natural ability for coordination allowed her to organize her wedding nine months in advance. Soon after, she founded Mahogany Hill to share her event planning skills with the world. In her free time, Kendall enjoys exploring her hometown and its exciting restaurant scene. She also adores spending time with partner, T, and their lovingly demanding dog, Charlie.
The team at Mahogany Hill Weddings offers partial planning up to three months before the big day. The happy couple can take a step back from wedding admin and let the professionals take over. Kendall offers free consultations to get things started. Here, she can fill clients in on the 90-day planning process. To kick things off, the team will arrange a meeting to get the low-down on all of the hard work couples have already put in. This includes talking over venues, vendors, decor, and more. These organizational masterminds will then schedule bi-weekly meetings until the big day. Kendall and her staff will attend the rehearsal to nip any potential problems in the bud. On the day, they will be on standby to manage setup, timing, vendors, and more. Couples will be in good hands as the events of the day unfold. After the celebrations, the team will make sure to tie up any loose ends. This post-wedding add-on lets the newlyweds rest assured that everything has been taken care of.

You will have no regrets hiring Mahogany Hill Weddings. I hired their day-of coordinating services. From the beginning and until the very end, Kendall was so calm and reassuring ev...
en when I was at my most stressed. It really put me at ease. We decided to have our wedding at our house, which came with so many logistical tasks that there were some points where I wished we just went with a venue. I can’t believe I used to think that for a second. It turned out so perfectly, and a huge part of that is because of Kendall and Donalyn.
They handled all the music when we couldn’t have a DJ. They literally got on their hands and knees to dry the dance floor under the tent after a quick torrential downpour. They handled putting up and tearing down all the decor, and at the end of the night, it was all organized for me. They helped my guests with their questions, helped keep the flow of the wedding, and were truly just the nicest people.
Kendall is so organized and knows exactly the right questions to ask. I trusted her completely and she delivered. My wedding was the absolute best day of my life, and I want her to know how much I appreciate her hand in making that happen.

elped calm our nerves every time we talked to her and she was so helpful! We had two face to face meetings and multiple zoom meetings, not to mention a bunch of emails back and forth. She was there every step of the way to make sure that our wedding went smoothly. On the day before and day of she was a total blessing to have. Everyone who interacted with her said how pleasant she was and she made sure that our wedding was one time. She always made sure we were okay and had everything we needed. Kendall is exactly who I pictured when looking for a coordinator as she was VERY well organized, quickly responds, and so very knowledgeable. She worked well with all of our vendors also! I truly cannot say enough about her and she was such a vital part of our wedding and what made it the best day ever!
