Maiden Voyage Bridal

I purchased my wedding dress, veil, and jewelry from Maiden Voyage. I went in not knowing the style I wanted. Laura gave great recommendations and helped me complete the whole look. I went to other bridal stores and neither the service nor dresses even compared. 5 stars for sure.

My sister got her wedding dress from here 6 years ago and it was such a great experience and amazing dress that I decided to try it for my wedding. Well they did not disappoint at all. Rachel and Carrie were so pleasant and kind and easy to work with. They made the whole process so fun and easy. They were so helpful and I got my wedding dress and veil with the modifications I wanted and I couldn't be happier. They were able to order my dress and it came in a surprisingly quick timeframe (3 weeks, I know I got lucky). They have also been so helpful with my bridesmaid dresses as well. Would 100% recommend shopping at Maiden Voyage.

I had an excellent experience with Maiden Voyage! Laura was my consultant and Rachel (store owner) assisted in my second appointment as well. Laura is very knowledgeable about bridal gowns and helped me find my perfect dress! My grandma burst into happy tears after seeing the perfect veil! One added bonus is the studio lighting, this helps you see your dress in different lighting! Overall I would recommend this bridal boutique! Everyone is very respectful and service oriented! Great selection of gowns for all budgets!

I had the most amazing experience at Maiden Voyage. The consultant and owner were both so kind and helpful and knew exactly the vision I was wanting. As a curvy bride, I was nervous before each store I went to but Maiden Voyage made me feel so comfortable and had an amazing selection of gowns. I found my dream dress and can't be more excited!!

Awesome experience finding the perfect dress for my sister!

This boutique measured me incorrectly resulting in a ridiculous “high-low” situation as opposed to a ballgown. To produce the product I had ordered, the (third party) seamstress worked with me and the boutique under unusual circumstances. In order to avoid having to pay a rush fee (which was previously disclosed by both the seamstress and me), the boutique insisted that I go to another seamstress despite the work and accommodations the seamstress made for both the boutique and me. When I said no, the boutique continued to refuse to pay a rush fee. Without providing timely notice, the boutique then missed the agreed upon delivery date and time for the new dress. When I spoke with the boutique and attempted to understand what was going on, they hung up on me. It turns out, the new dress did not have the panels I paid for, leaving my dress partially nude. My seamstress ended up speaking with the boutique, got the new dress and managed to fix this additional mistake, one week before my wedding. If I could go back in time, I would not have bought my wedding dress at Maiden Voyage.

They are absolutely amazing! They have an amazing selection of wedding dresses, and help you find your dream dress within your budget. They truly believe in having a great time and creating a stress free environment. I highly recommend them to anyone is the St. Louis area!!!

I didn't feel very welcomed at this salon. They seemed to have a lot of dresses but we didn't have much help in shopping and the staff didn't really help to narrow down what I was looking for. My overall impression was that they cared more about the price and designer of a dress than how it actually suits the bride.

I literally had the most incredible experience at Maiden Voyage! I went in and had the help of Rachel and Nancy. They both were absolutely amazing and so much fun to work with. Myself, mom, MIL, and maid of honor felt SO welcomed. (My fam is a bit crazy and we felt like we fit right in) I did not feel any pressure, just surrounded by love! I left being in love with 2 dresses and came back the next business day to try both on and decide. They fit me right into the schedule (day of) with no issues. I said yes to the dress and we celebrated with champagne! I highly highly recommend finding your dream dress at maiden voyage! Not only are their wedding dresses to DIE for, so is the experience and wonderful ladies that help you.

Paula was amazing to work with! She helped my mom and I find the perfect dresses for my wedding! Paula went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect and answered every question I had! Rachel was so great. This was the first store I went to try on wedding dresses and she made it so magical! She was very knowledgeable, had great taste, and a great eye for styling. 10/10 would recommend!

Such a lovely welcome from the whole beautiful crew at Maiden. When I found out my neighbor (married 30+ years ago) also bought her gown at Maiden, it totally made sense how well put together their whole process and inventory is; This is a well seasoned and fully knowledgeable crew; Paula was especially well versed and helpful in her expertise. Our assistant mapped out a game plan that netted me my beautiful gown on my very first outing. I went in thinking for sure I wanted a particular style and was blown away by the total opposite of that. Such a well established boutique also comes with such a valuable asset as having associations with extremely experienced seamstresses. Keep an open mind and try on every style you can; they sure have a wide enough variety of gowns to give you a wholly informed palate. Cheers!

There are MANY other bridal shops in St. Louis - AVOID THIS ONE. Maiden Voyage ordered my dress 2-3 sizes too big (ordered me a 10, I am usually a 2 or 4) and claimed the designer did not provide them with an update sizing chart and that is why it happened. They also claimed they had to order the 61 in length dress or I would be charged for the shorter length despite the tag STATING it is available in 55, 58, or 61 in. They claimed I would owe extra for ordering a 55 in and I literally had to FIGHT with them to order this for me. Needless to say, I ended up leaving that day crying. They did end up ordering me a size 6 and a 55 in length dress after much back and forth, however I still felt that a 6 was too big. It was, of course. Furthermore, I called around and ordering a 55 in length Morilee gown is NOT an extra charge despite what Paula and the other woman 'helping' me claimed. After the size 6 was ordered, I got multiple "accident" calls that my dress was in and ready when in fact it was not. Finally, a nice woman in the receiving department must have caught wind of how upset I was and took me under her wing. She ensured that Maiden Voyage paid for my alterations. While I did end up needing one more round of alterations, I ended up paying for them myself just to save myself the pain of ever communicating with this business again.

The staff is always friendly! After explaining my theme, the first dress brought to me was MY DRESS! I'm am very impulsive but I wanted to make sure it was the one I wanted so I kept looking around. I went to several other bridal shops and not ONE had what I was looking for. My theme is boho and no one sells boho wedding gowns as it isn't your popular princess theme. Well Maiden Voyage has boho dresses and the one I have is only sold at their store, you cannot get it anywhere else in the Midwest. I love my dress so much and it fits perfectly! Thank you so much ladies!

Was not impressed with the dress selection. You dress shop on your own rather than having someone help you find gowns.

The staff was very friendly, but my time was wasted. It would have been helpful if my budget was consulted while scheduling an appointment. I had a modest budget that was completely unattainable at this salon.

The staff here was very nice but their selection was dated. They have great designers but their inventory needs to be brought up to date. I also had a hard time that they never actually asked me what I wanted in a dress aside from the initial survey I took before getting there which was never referenced to.

My fiancé and I had just purchased a home and had to hold off ordering any big purchases for our October wedding, so I have very little time to spare. I called Maiden Voyage One Saturday just to see if they would allow a walk in and squeezed me in for an appointment 30 minutes after I called. Paula and Rachel were the two consultants what worked with me and helped me find my wedding dress (that day!!) When I let them know of my wedding date for a destination wedding they had no hesitation and immediately went to work at finding my perfect dress. They both really know their dresses and body shape that worked best for me and helped me dwindle down in my choices and something that fit my curves very well. After I found my dress there were only a few alterations needed and they called their seamstress that day to stop by and take measurements. I couldn’t believe how great their service was and stress free my experience became (especially in Covid times). I couldn’t have my sister or girlfriends with me and they stepped in to fill that role in my dress shopping experience. If you are wanting a great team to find your dress, Paula and Rachel are 100% your girls to help you find that dress!!

I had worked at Maiden Voyage Bridal for almost 5 years when I got engaged. Picking out my dream wedding gown with my boss' and coworker was a dream come true. As I continued working there and helped others begin their journey in bridal world I continued to love the shop with unconditionality. The women there love to make sure every woman who enters leaves feeling beautiful in the skin she is in, as well the soul she is. They also carry the best selection of couture bridal gowns, and have amazing prices. I would not recommend this place. The dresses are beautiful but the moment I walked in I had an uneasy feeling. The other places I’ve been to, you walk in and you’re greeted with a big smile and people are friendly. Here I walked in and I heard the lady at the front desk ask “Whose turn is it?” Then the lady who helped me didn’t even smile, or ask for my name, she just introduced herself and gave me a clipboard to fill out and walked away. Other places sit with you and talk to you, and they fill out a clipboard while talking with you. She did ask what I was looking for and bring in suggestions, but never really smiled the entire time. I felt like I was being an annoyance even though I was the only person there. The rest of the experience wasn’t too great either. The place is underwhelming, with a small selection of beautiful but expensive dresses. Not much room for bridal parties to sit around, which was fine for me since I came alone but this will be a problem if you have anyone with you. The woman helping me was sort of rough with me when fitting the dresses. When I told her my wedding was in six months and that I knew it was a sort timeline, she spent the rest of the appointment reminding me irritably that “You need to order a dress today” and then another consultant started joining in telling me that too. I felt very pressured by this, and it stressed me out way more than I already was. I had a budget of $2500. I said I wanted a dress with a train, and when I tried on one that didn’t have a train she tried suggesting a veil to me that was cathedral to act as a train. The veil was $1300, which is insane for a veil when other bridal salons offer me ones that are $200 or less. I told them absolutely not because it would’ve put me way over my budget, but she just reminded me again that my wedding is coming up and I need to decide ASAP. Overall, I left this place feeling very stressed and pressured. If you are coming with people, know they won’t have much room to sit, especially if there are other brides there.

I had the most amazing experience at Maiden Voyage! I felt like they listened to all of my wants and needs! I ended up saying yes to the most beautiful dress and even had customization's made to it! It arrived right on time for me to have alterations and be ready for the wedding!

I called Maiden Voyage for a walk-in appointment because I had time in between two appointments I had already made. They were very accommodating and were able to fit us in. Though they had designer dresses that you are unable to find anywhere else in St. Louis, I found that the majority of the dresses and the space were underwhelming. Maiden Voyage only has a small area for your family/friends to view the dresses you're trying on. You have to practically step over other brides in order to get your space in front of the mirror. However, that was the least of my worries while there. When I was meeting with my consultant I expressed to her that I was extremely budget conscious and really wanted to be at or below my budget of $1,500. The consultant consistently brought in dresses for me to try on that were at least twice the price of my budget and that I could in no way afford. Moral of the story is, I tried on three dresses and left.

I had a wonderful experience shopping for and buying my wedding dress at Maiden Voyage. I visited 5 other bridal shops and this was the nicest by far. They had an excellent selection for my budget. The changing rooms were large and comfortable with many huge mirrors. My consultant, Amy, was so helpful as we chose dresses and made sure my very vocal entourage didn't overshadow me. She knew I had found "the dress" before I did. I am so glad we stopped by Maiden Voyage and would recommend it to any bride hunting for her perfect dress!

While they do carry some designers that you won’t find anywhere else in saint louis, I was underwhelmed (to say the least) by the location and the ambiance. You have no privacy when trying on the dresses for your family - so be prepared to stand next to multiple brides at the same time, nearly elbow to elbow. Also, don’t expect your bridal party to be able to see your dresses - there’s hardly enough room for the brides! The staff was.... okay. Hit or a miss depending on who you see. They also have very little regard for budget, so they won’t bring you things that are in your budget - mostly will try to upsell. That being said - dresses are beautiful. Oh, one last thing - if you are bringing a grandmother here, there’s a big chance they won’t be able to even get into this building, awful high stairs - very hard for elderly to walk into!

My experience at Maiden Voyage was absolutely perfect. Jenn was my consultant, and she was so sweet and ultimately ended up picking the wedding dress of my dreams. Not only did she nail exactly what I was envisioning, but she stayed in my budget and did all the little tricks it took for me and my party to envision me as a bride. We also had my grandma with us whom can't do steps very well, and they graciously let us come through the back entrance to accommodate her. I'm so happy that the day I said "Yes to the Dress" was filled with excitement, joy and happy tears! I would 100% recommend Maiden Voyage to any bride-to-be!

I loved working with Maiden Voyage Bridal! I have to admit, looking back I was an anxious bride, which who wouldn't be! You have so many tasks to accomplish and feel overwhelmed often. But I really appreciated working with their staff. They kept record of my calls, which I did call often near the end of receiving my dress. They were so patient with me in picking out my dress and were so friendly, like family. I learned so much about my dress when I went in for the final fitting before picking it up but my dress was the last of it's kind since the manufacturer was discontinuing the dress - amazing! And the owner at this shop makes sure to go and pick out special dresses that stand out among all others. The work that goes into running such a business I had never even dreamed! I will highly highly recommend Maiden Voyage Bridal to any friends and family! I love them so much!

Maiden Voyage Bridal did a wonderful job helping me select my dream wedding dress! They have a wide selection of designer dresses at a reasonable price. They are extremely professional and easy to work with.

Amy was my consultant and she was great. But customer service is not their thing. I ordered my wedding dress, bridesmaid dresses, and flower girl dress from maiden voyage. The dresses there take a very very long time to get in, but I understand that is somewhat normal. They were off about three weeks however on their estimate of time for that which was a bit nerve wracking. When I called a month before the wedding they told me they didn't know if they had the dress or not but they had a lot of unopened boxes they had gotten in. They informed me they were unable to open said boxes until the owners came in from out of town which was going to be in a week or a little over a week. I knew I needed to get my dress altered and this seemed absolutely ridiculous. I got my dress about week later. I don't know if it was in those boxes or not; no one was able to tell me. Maiden voyage does not do alterations. However, they have a list of people they trust. I went to one, Expert Alteration and Tuxedo. DO NOT GO THERE!!!!!! HE DESTROYED MY DRESS!!!!! and he did this all the weekend before the wedding!!!! Awful does not begin to describe him. I called Maiden Voyage to tell them, they said they never got a review on him?!?!?!?! Why would they then send me there?!?!?! The bridesmaid dresses are a different story. I ordered them all from one designer but the designer label numbers do not match the numbers maiden voyage has which was kind of a pain to make sure we all had the right dresses. I understand and respect their policy that the bridesmaids can't order a dress that the bride didn't approve. I didn't care which one they ordered, but I had to tell Maiden Voyage before they could order it. No biggie and understandable. However, three of the bridesmaids lived out of town. One of the bridesmaids calls me a little over a week before the wedding to tell me she never received her dress after paying for them to ship it. Turns out Maiden Voyage won't ship the dresses until they confirm your shipping address over the phone after Maiden Voyage receives the dress (dresses are not directly sent to buyers). According to Maiden Voyage they tried to contact her, according to the bridesmaid no one called. Either way NO ONE CALLED ME! Maiden Voyage, knowing the date of the wedding and knowing that all the other dresses had been picked up and sent, should have called me to say hey this bridesmaid hasn't answered, or can you confirm her address. Nothing though was done. That was quite disappointing. Their dresses are beautiful. But just a heads up to any bride out there. Helen's Bridal and Alterations did my alterations and saved the day as best she could after it got destroyed by the alteration person Maiden Voyage suggested. I cannot recommend Helen's Bridal and Alteration strongly enough!

I dropped 3k+ on a Hayley Paige dress and $500+ on a veil. Amy helped me find my dress and she was seriously a pleasure to work with! What’s the problem? Well, the shop was misinformed/uneducated on what came with my dress. I was told a “belt” aka strip of sequence that covered a seam, came with my dress. When my dress finally came in I noticed it was beltless, I told the owner and I was told they’d get it ordered. I got the call when it came it and was handled a flimsy piece of string with sequin that was about to fall apart. I walked back in to talk to the owner about it and was told that was the exact “belt” that I initially tried on. I wish I could’ve seen my face, I was a deer in headlights. What I was given was some dollar general quality and I was shock when the owner basically called me crazy for thinking I tried on anything else. I asked to see the sample dress again and then I was told they didn’t have the belt with it anymore. What a coincidence. HA! I walked out livid, I dropped 4K in a dress shop and was basically denied any help, not even a compromise. I then emailed Hayley Paige told them this exact story and I was told that the dress didnt even come with the belt! I showed them a picture of what I was given from maiden voyage and they said that it did not come from HP. Sketch sketch sketch Basically HP sent a strip of extra sequence with the sample dress they had in the store but the shop thought it was a seam coverup for my dress. When I didn’t get one with my dress they tried covering their butts and I guess tried making one... Either way, I spent way too much money to be treated the way I was treated from the owner of this shop. Go spend your money elsewhere! I will never recommend this place to anyone.

My wedding dress was absolutely beautiful! However, when I received my dress back (after getting fitted), it was HUGE! I ended up having to spend $600 in alterations on a dress that cost me $800. What was the point in getting fitted? I took it to a lady they recommended to me since they don't do fittings in the store, and she had to cut off 6 inches at the bottom (9 layers of dress at $25 per layer), take the dress in 4 inches at the waist and the shoulder straps had to be tightened because they were too loose. Also, every single one of my bridesmaids spent almost $100 in alterations for their dresses because they didn't fit right either (too long and/or too big). One of the girls' dresses even came back with what looked like grease stains on it. While I thank Maiden Voyage for my beautiful dress, it was a major frustration of all the money that was spent on the alterations simply because measurements weren't taken correctly.

I found my dream dress at Maiden Voyage and it was wonderful. However, I felt that the staff seemed annoyed with me after I purchased the dress. I came in on two separate occasions after purchasing my Hayley Paige dress to look at bridesmaids dresses. My dress had several different colors in it, so we were having a hard time finding the right bridesmaids dresses to compliment it. I asked for them to pull out my dress to compare to the bridesmaids and they were not thrilled to help out. After all was said and done I spent just under 5000 on my dress, bridemaids, and accessories. I would have appreciated them to at least pretend that they were not annoyed with me. Also, they ordered me a size 22 dress. I normally wear a 14-16 in normal dresses but they told me it was correct. I ended up spending hundreds of dollars on alterations because it was so ridiculously large they had to make an incredible amount of alterations.

Can’t say enough great things about Maiden Voyage Bridal. I originally came to this store because they are only ones that carry a specific designer I was looking for. Unfortunately, they didn’t have the dress I was interested in but were able to order in a sample for me for a small fee. The fee ended up going towards any dress I purchased through them so I didn’t mind. They have a large selection of multiple styles and budgets. They were also very prompt with phone calls and appointments. Jennifer was amazing! I cannot recommend her enough. She was so patient, kind and made me feel completely comfortable every time I came in.

After purchasing my dress I no longer felt important. I joined my bridesmaids for their appointments to try on dresses, even though we would make appointments at least a week in advance they never seemed to know we had an appointment or why we were there. Each time I was there with my bridesmaids the consultants were rude and uninterested in helping us. They were clearly more concerned about helping the girls purchasing prom dresses. Another visit, they were extremely insensitive to my bridesmaid that was having trouble fitting into the sample sizes, mind you she is size 16-18. After receiving my dress, my bridesmaids and I decided to get their dresses from another bridal shop because we were tired of being treated poorly. Even after speaking with the owner about my experiences she apologized but wasn’t sincere and quite frankly was rude. I will never recommend this place to anyone. The same dresses are at other salons in the area and they will treat you with more respect.

Maiden Voyage had a huge selection of styles and sizes to choose from. I let them know my price range and they made sure to keep their suggestions within that instead of trying to sell me something I couldn't afford. I ended up finding the perfect dress, which was a brand new design and was able to buy it off the rack for a great price! They also recommended places to go for alterations who did a fantastic job. They were really easy to work with and the shop is charming.

I love love love this shop. The owner is awesome. And the other employees are great too. I am not a girly girl and dresses are not my comfort zone but they never once judged me. I even have a bad knee so that played into my dress decision due to weights and comfort and they were accommodating. I went to other places and they made me feel like I needed to change my decision because the dress I was looking for didn't exist. Maiden voyage was determined to help me find the perfect dress and they succeeded. Their setup is in a old house so it is very comfortable and a fun environment. And, I have a large family so I needed to bring over 20 people with me and Maiden Voyage didn't hesitate to make that work. Most places limit the amount of people you can bring with you. I love everyone who works there and I would recommend anyone to go there, I promise you that you will not be let down.

They were nice enough but not great. The selection seemed really limited which was surprising. I am a little miffed that the associate did not help me in or out of dresses though. The only one I kind of liked was lacking a lot and much more expensive than other options I had looked at.

I was nervous to come here to try on dresses after seeing some of the reviews on here, but I ended up having a good experience! My consultant Nikki was friendly and wonderful. I had a specific Lazaro dress in mind to try on, and they are the only salon in the area to carry that designer. I was confused when I tried on that dress and I surprisingly did not like it more than a dress I had previously tried on at another salon, which is confusing when this happens to any bride. My consultant encouraged me to try to get a walk-in appointment at the other salon so I could have peace of mind and make my decision about the dress. I really appreciated that advice because she was not pressuring me into getting my dress from their salon that day, she just wanted me to be happy in whatever dress I chose. My only complaint is that I felt there were not very many dresses to choose from; the dresses on the floor were very limited, which surprised me for such a large shop. I'm not sure if there were more options elsewhere in the salon or what, but I wasn't completely satisfied with what I had to browse compared to other stores. Another woman also helped with my appointment (did not catch her name), but while I appreciated her adding extra clips so the dress I was trying on fit better and giving me tons of compliments, it felt a bit like she was pressuring me into the dress that I really wasn't completely sold on at that point. Overall, I would recommend giving them a chance because I had a good experience and several of my friends have had good experiences here too!

I loved Maiden Voyage! I had been to 2 other salons and hadn't found what I was looking for. The consultant listened to exactly what I was wanted and found the most perfect dress. I felt like a princess. I also found my bridal party dresses here. I had looked at 2 other salons and was much happier with the price and quality they offered here.

They did not disclose to me the deposit was non refundable when I put the deposit over the phone. They refuse to give me my deposit back even tho they do not have a signed contract with my name nor my signature agreeing that it was a non refundable deposit. Poor business practices, no disclosures given over the phone. If you are going to take people’s money and have a non refundable policy you need a signed contract by the person paying you.

I previously bought my prom dress here and it was great. I went back to order my graduation dress, which is a wedding dress. When it came in, it was NOT the same material as the sample. It was see through and an awful material. They brought the sample down to compare. Definitely not the same, but they kept insisting it was. They refused to give us our money back. Now, I definitely wouldn't trust them with my wedding dress.

To be honest, when dress shopping I didn’t even want to go here to look for my wedding dress. Why? Because I have bought a couple bridesmaid dresses from maiden voyage and I wasn’t ever treated nicely. I walked in and no one greeted me even though they were sitting at the counter. When I picked up my bridesmaid dress it seemed like I was an Inconvenience to them. After all that, i gave them another chance! I bought my dress from here on a random day during the week during the middle of the day. They gave me so much attention, every consultant was in my room to see the dress I picked. They even threw in my wedding day necklace and bracelet. The place was awesome. My consultant was Nikki, she was amazing. Helped me figure out what I liked and what i didn’t like. She stayed within my price range. They promised me they would do the alterations and take good care of me. When I called to make my Alterations appointment, they said their department had closed down. I started to freak out. One of the main reasons why I bought my dress here was bc they were doing the Alterations. After buying my dress from them, it didn’t seem like I was as important anymore. But I quickly got over it. My dress was absolutely stunning and wouldn’t haven’t found it anywhere else!! I had Nikki again when I looking for my bridesmaid dresses, again their dresses were awesome! When I brought all my girls to get measured we worked won a different consultant that wasn’t the nicest and some of my bridesmaids found her rude. All in all, I’m really glad I bought my dress from here. I feel in love with it and would buy that dress every time!

Nikki was awesome! She went above and beyond with me finding and figuring out what I wanted. She listened to the components that I liked about each dress and 5 seconds later she comes back with a dress that has all of those things! She was also amazing at deciphering what I was saying I did and did not like about each dress, because sometimes you just can't really explain what you like or do not like about a dress. More importantly she was patient with us, getting dressy and girly really is not my thing and making decisions (especially about spending a lot of money) takes me time to digest. I wanted to make sure everything will be and look perfect. So it took me about 8 months of searching the internet after knowing what looked good on me to decide on a dress. The shop is very nicely set up, and the private room that I was in was awesome. They also have a giant room in the back if you bring the bridesmaids. More importantly, they have AWESOME assortment of designers and then the numerous collections from those designers. I was able to purchase a skirt from one designer and a top from another with no problems. I cannot wait to see the look on my Fiance's face. Thank you Maiden Voyage!

I don't usually write reviews, but I did not have the best experience at Maiden Voyage. I wish I would have read more reviews about this place before making my appointment. The lady that helped me was rude and wasn't paying much attention to what I liked. She pulled dresses she liked and that were out of my price range. She overwhelmed me with pressuring me to buy a dress and did not take into consideration the way I was feeling. They were more interested in making the sale instead of making sure I was in love with my dress. In the end, I did purchase my dress here only because of Ann. She came and helped and turned the appointment around. If it wasn't for her, we were about to walk out empty handed. If I had to do it all over again, I would go somewhere else.

Everyone was super helpful and positive, they really listened to what I was looking for and we had a great experience picking out my dress!

I rarely leave reviews and it took me a while to sit down and write this. To sum it up: I loved my dress but not the fact that I found it here. I feel very affirmed by reading other reviews because I had similar experiences. I felt like I wasn't important while trying on dresses. There were other brides who were clearly given more attention. The stylists pulled dresses that THEY liked, not styles that I said I wanted. I felt like they just wanted the purchase. At one point they pulled a dress that they called "the budget buster".. why even bring that out? But nevertheless, I found the dress I loved and bought it. The alterations were a disappointment. The bust was done very sloppy and I even pulled out a pin where the alteration was missed while getting into my dress on my wedding day. I would say the most frustrating experience was with my veil. My mom picked up my veil for me when it was ready (which was weeks late). When I got home, I discovered it wasn't the veil I ordered. The ladies didn't believe me. I had to email pictures from when I tried it on to prove that I was correct. They couldn't get the right one in quick enough (because it was already weeks late). They said they would have somebody take off the part of the veil that was incorrect, and when my mom said she was worried it wouldn't come out well, they were rude to her. In their defense, they got it fixed in time and it looked fine. Overall, I was very unimpressed with my entire experience.

I had such a great experience at Maiden Voyage! They really listened to my feedback on each dress I tried on and helped me create a custom look based on that feedback.

Not a wide variety of prices.

I would not recommend this bridal salon to anyone regardless of budget. My mom and I scheduled an appointment for my very first trip to try on wedding dresses. We walked in and told them our budget, which we estimated around $500 but were open to trying on anything to get a feel for styles, but rather than being given a dressing room upstairs with the other brides, we were taken downstairs to sift through the bridesmaid dresses and put in a dressing room for bridesmaids. She found a few dresses above our price range but didn't show them to us, let alone give me the opportunity to try them on. Our consultant seemed annoyed with us and made us feel that due to our limited budget we were unimportant clients, not worth her time, energy, or attention. We left feeling like our budget wouldn't afford us any real wedding dress.

So so happy with my experience at Maiden Voyage Bridal! My bridal consultant Nikki, was an absolute doll and ended up helping me create my dream dress! She listened to everything I had to say and kept me from becoming overwhelmed. The owner of the store was also amazing, she came in and helped piece together a completely custom dress and even made sure it was in my price range. It was an absolute dream come true!

This was by far the worst experience of my life. Most of the staff seemed friendly, but unfortunately not the woman who was working with me. She was put off that I wanted to try on several styles of dresses so I could get an idea of what looked good on me. She told me she didn't want to carry dresses out if I wasn't going to like them. Lots of MOH dresses. I was looking for bridal gown, didn't get many options at all. The lady wouldn't listen to what I was asking for. Overall would not suggest for bridal, but good selection for MOH.

Unfortunately the wonderful service provided by my personal bridal consultant, as well as the beautiful final result of both my bridal gown and my bridesmaids dresses has been overshadowed by the terrible treatment my mother received by the owner of the shop. After spending in total a significant amount on my bridal gown, alterations, accessories and all bridesmaids gowns, my mother was basically told that we didn't spend enough money there to receive a "complimentary" steam of my dress, a value of $100. If we had spent $500 in alterations, not the $475 that we did (and of course the thousands of dollars on top of that for the gowns and accessories), THEN we would be graced with that free service. To be a small business owner and show such disdain towards your customers, customers, I might add, that spread the word and provide recommendations that most small businesses thrive off of for business, is extremely appalling. Instead of us having such fond memories of finding my dress and altering it to be the perfect gown for my perfect day, the owner instead stained it so that all we can remember is how rude we were treated after giving you our business. If only we had spent $25 more, then maybe you would have been nicer.

I now other people have had good experiences here, but I didn't. My consultant did not act professionally. She talked negatively about the other bridal salon I had gone to, and showed me dresses that were WAY over my budget (when we made the appt my mom specifically asked if they had gowns within our budget and they had enthusiastically said yes). She also brought me styles that I specifically said I did not want. She also made some comments about my budget/ styles I liked that really made me lose any excitement about dress shopping. We were not there very long, and I would not recommend to anybody.

I got my wedding dress from Maiden Voyage. I did not know much about the shop except it's location before I scheduled my appointment. My family lives in South County and my in laws live in St. Peter's so I wanted something centrally located to the both of them. When I showed up I quickly realized my budget was not what they typically sell. I had a budget of $1500. The person I was trying on dresses next to flew in from New Jersey and was trying on $20,000+ dresses. They were having their trunk show so I was in luck and found a dress original price $1500 for $350. I set my alterations appointment up originally with them because I had heard horror stories of alterations gone wrong when you do not. When I got to my appointment they quoted me at $450!!! More than what I even spent on the dress! My dress was satin. NO lace NO bling. JUST satin. I decided to take it home and think about it. I spoke to a friend who told me to call the person she used. She quoted me $200. I ended up getting MORE done and still only spent $250. I know they are in West County but their alteration prices are CRAZY and NO ONE should pay that much!!

Best experience ever! They immediately knew the look I was going for and pulled dresses that fit my idea well! I went in worried I wouldn't find a dress and they made it the easiest most stress free part of wedding planning! Thanks Maiden Voyage!

My daughter found her dream dress at Maiden Voyage. It was by far the best experience we had at any bridal salon. She had tried on other dresses and found some that she liked, but nothing that was "the one". We were just beginning to think she might be someone who just didn't have that "moment" when finding her dress....and then we went to Maiden Voyage. Our consultant was Jenny and we liked her immediately. She was so positive and so attentive. She really listened to what my daughter was looking for. The selection of dresses was by far the best we had seen. We loved the first three dresses she brought in!! After a couple more dresses, Jenny had just one more she wanted to try. The minute I saw my daughter in it I knew it was "the one" and so did my daughter!! She finally had her moment! We returned to find a veil and for two fittings. Each time the salon was helpful, friendly and courteous. Jenny was also there each time to greet us and make sure everything went smoothly. We cannot recommend this bridal salon highly enough. It should be every bride's first stop when shopping for a dress.

Maiden Voyage made my dress shopping experience everything I expected it to be. They were very accommodating with my schedule since I was planning from out of state and would have limited time in St. Louis. My appointment was very pleasant. I had an idea of what designer and dress type that I wanted and they guided me to find the perfect dress! I left to think about it and came back the very same day to buy it! I was antsy about when I would receive the dress for my first fitting since my travel plans depended on it. I'm sure I pestered them quite a lot calling frequently to find out when exactly the dress would arrive. They treated me very kindly and provided excellent service each time that I called. They scheduled my subsequent fittings very close together and right before the wedding to accommodate my tight schedule. Every person that assisted me was very kind and made the whole experience very fun. The seamstress was very knowledgeable and skilled and made my dress fit me perfectly! Thank you, Maiden Voyage!

I made an appointment and mentioned the specific dress I wanted to try on. When I arrived, it was waiting for me. Everything from staff, to dresses, to atmosphere was beautiful and made the visit so great. I bought the first (and only) dress I tried on as I already knew it was the one, but Nikki and other staff pulled other dresses that I wanted to see just so I could be sure. They let me have plenty of time to check out the dress and snap some pics! I felt comfortable with the measuring process and the general run down of how alterations will go. I highly recommend Maiden Voyage and ask for Nikki!!

Maiden Voyage was my first stop in bridal dress shopping. I thought I was going to have a difficult time in narrowing down the type of dress I wanted. By the third or fourth dress, I knew it was THE ONE. Jenny was fabulous and the entire team made the experience EXACTLY what I imagined. I didn't want to make a decision too fast so they told me to go to the rest of my appointments but that they knew they'd see me back (because of my reaction to the dress as well as my support system's reaction). The ladies at Maiden Voyage had my best interest in mind and did not make me feel pressured into buying the dress. So, I shopped the rest of the day to solidify my feelings. I went back without an appointment, put the dress back on, and knew I had to have it. They were absolutely AMAZING. Highly recommended!

I didn't end up purchasing my dress at Maiden Voyage Bridal, but I got such wonderful service from Rachel that I need to post a review. Walking into the boutique was a little overwhelming. The people at the front desk (owners?) seemed flustered. When I told them I had an appointment, they threw some paperwork my way and left me to wait awkwardly in a corner. But then Rachel came and saved the day. She took me upstairs (there's an upstairs! So don't panic when you walk in and don't see any wedding dresses), chatted with me for a bit about my wedding and what I wanted, then brought back a wonderful assortment of dresses. She really helped me picture the day and what I wanted from a dress. She put up with my awkward jokes and complete ignorance to current fashion trends. She had great ideas that I would have never thought of. I didn't deal with any other consultants, but they all seemed just as nice and knowledgeable. I can't speak to their purchasing process or alterations department, but their sales consultants are awesome!

All i can say is wow. Let me start by saying that this was not my first bridal salon. I went to others before coming here, all of which were terrible. I felt so discouraged at the other salons because the bridal consultants did NOT understand my style and what I kept asking for. Dress shopping was this daunting and looming task. When I had my appointment at Maiden Voyage, the entire experience changed. Dress shopping was actually FUN! My consultant, Nikki, was EXCEPTIONAL. I can't say enough great things about her. She understood my style and body type, and pulled dresses that were perfect for me. I tried on 5 or 6 dresses before I found the one (I had tried on over 30 before this appointment at other places). My perfect dress was not only absolutely stunning, but also very well priced! Only $1300! I walked into this appointment with a budget of $3000. I would recommend this place to ANYONE. I went to Maiden Voyage after going to a few shops and not finding the dresses or designers I was looking for. I knew exactly which dress I wanted but my consultant let me play dress up anyway just for fun and to make sure I was 100% certain about my dress. It was great not to have any sales pressure put on me so I could enjoy the process of trying wedding dresses on. Before I came in I researched the prices and found their price right in line with other stores (had to call Chicago and Kansas City since they were the only store in St. Louis that carried some of the dresses). I also felt like I got both great quality and excellent value from the alterations department. The bustle was beautiful and the seamstress took her time explaining how to bustle the dress to my bridesmaid so she felt confident on the wedd
