Maiden Voyage Bridal

I purchased my wedding dress at Maiden Voyage a couple of months ago. My consultant, Laura, did a fantastic job guiding me through the process. She actively listened to my feedback while providing her seasoned expertise and to help me find THE dress! She also did a wonderful job welcoming and including my family. I am grateful to have had such a positive experience and would recommend Maiden Voyage to all STL brides and their family members (my mom just bought her mother of the bride dress there, too)!

I purchased my wedding dress, veil, and jewelry from Maiden Voyage. I went in not knowing the style I wanted. Laura gave great recommendations and helped me complete the whole look. I went to other bridal stores and neither the service nor dresses even compared. 5 stars for sure.

My sister got her wedding dress from here 6 years ago and it was such a great experience and amazing dress that I decided to try it for my wedding. Well they did not disappoint at all. Rachel and Carrie were so pleasant and kind and easy to work with. They made the whole process so fun and easy. They were so helpful and I got my wedding dress and veil with the modifications I wanted and I couldn't be happier. They were able to order my dress and it came in a surprisingly quick timeframe (3 weeks, I know I got lucky). They have also been so helpful with my bridesmaid dresses as well. Would 100% recommend shopping at Maiden Voyage.

I had an excellent experience with Maiden Voyage! Laura was my consultant and Rachel (store owner) assisted in my second appointment as well. Laura is very knowledgeable about bridal gowns and helped me find my perfect dress! My grandma burst into happy tears after seeing the perfect veil! One added bonus is the studio lighting, this helps you see your dress in different lighting! Overall I would recommend this bridal boutique! Everyone is very respectful and service oriented! Great selection of gowns for all budgets!

I had the most amazing experience at Maiden Voyage. The consultant and owner were both so kind and helpful and knew exactly the vision I was wanting. As a curvy bride, I was nervous before each store I went to but Maiden Voyage made me feel so comfortable and had an amazing selection of gowns. I found my dream dress and can't be more excited!!

Awesome experience finding the perfect dress for my sister!

This boutique measured me incorrectly resulting in a ridiculous “high-low” situation as opposed to a ballgown. To produce the product I had ordered, the (third party) seamstress worked with me and the boutique under unusual circumstances. In order to avoid having to pay a rush fee (which was previously disclosed by both the seamstress and me), the boutique insisted that I go to another seamstress despite the work and accommodations the seamstress made for both the boutique and me. When I said no, the boutique continued to refuse to pay a rush fee. Without providing timely notice, the boutique then missed the agreed upon delivery date and time for the new dress. When I spoke with the boutique and attempted to understand what was going on, they hung up on me. It turns out, the new dress did not have the panels I paid for, leaving my dress partially nude. My seamstress ended up speaking with the boutique, got the new dress and managed to fix this additional mistake, one week before my wedding. If I could go back in time, I would not have bought my wedding dress at Maiden Voyage.

They are absolutely amazing! They have an amazing selection of wedding dresses, and help you find your dream dress within your budget. They truly believe in having a great time and creating a stress free environment. I highly recommend them to anyone is the St. Louis area!!!

I didn't feel very welcomed at this salon. They seemed to have a lot of dresses but we didn't have much help in shopping and the staff didn't really help to narrow down what I was looking for. My overall impression was that they cared more about the price and designer of a dress than how it actually suits the bride.

I had so much fun trying on gowns with Paula at Maiden Voyage! They had traditional and very unique styles. I ended up with my perfect wedding gown that is so unique and not like any dress I have ever seen. I cant wait to wear it and then after my wedding i'm going to probably randomly walk around my house in it. I am beyond excited and so happy that maiden voyage was able to help me find my perfect dress and make my day so wonderful.

I literally had the most incredible experience at Maiden Voyage! I went in and had the help of Rachel and Nancy. They both were absolutely amazing and so much fun to work with. Myself, mom, MIL, and maid of honor felt SO welcomed. (My fam is a bit crazy and we felt like we fit right in) I did not feel any pressure, just surrounded by love! I left being in love with 2 dresses and came back the next business day to try both on and decide. They fit me right into the schedule (day of) with no issues. I said yes to the dress and we celebrated with champagne! I highly highly recommend finding your dream dress at maiden voyage! Not only are their wedding dresses to DIE for, so is the experience and wonderful ladies that help you.

Rachel was so great. This was the first store I went to try on wedding dresses and she made it so magical! She was very knowledgeable, had great taste, and a great eye for styling. 10/10 would recommend!

Shopping at Maiden Voyage was wonderful! Katie was knowledgeable, kind and it felt more like she was part of my group! The store and tons of great designers, was clean and made the entire process easy and stress free! I am taking my bridal party back to shop for their gowns.

Such a lovely welcome from the whole beautiful crew at Maiden. When I found out my neighbor (married 30+ years ago) also bought her gown at Maiden, it totally made sense how well put together their whole process and inventory is; This is a well seasoned and fully knowledgeable crew; Paula was especially well versed and helpful in her expertise. Our assistant mapped out a game plan that netted me my beautiful gown on my very first outing. I went in thinking for sure I wanted a particular style and was blown away by the total opposite of that. Such a well established boutique also comes with such a valuable asset as having associations with extremely experienced seamstresses. Keep an open mind and try on every style you can; they sure have a wide enough variety of gowns to give you a wholly informed palate. Cheers!

There are MANY other bridal shops in St. Louis - AVOID THIS ONE. Maiden Voyage ordered my dress 2-3 sizes too big (ordered me a 10, I am usually a 2 or 4) and claimed the designer did not provide them with an update sizing chart and that is why it happened. They also claimed they had to order the 61 in length dress or I would be charged for the shorter length despite the tag STATING it is available in 55, 58, or 61 in. They claimed I would owe extra for ordering a 55 in and I literally had to FIGHT with them to order this for me. Needless to say, I ended up leaving that day crying. They did end up ordering me a size 6 and a 55 in length dress after much back and forth, however I still felt that a 6 was too big. It was, of course. Furthermore, I called around and ordering a 55 in length Morilee gown is NOT an extra charge despite what Paula and the other woman 'helping' me claimed. After the size 6 was ordered, I got multiple "accident" calls that my dress was in and ready when in fact it was not. Finally, a nice woman in the receiving department must have caught wind of how upset I was and took me under her wing. She ensured that Maiden Voyage paid for my alterations. While I did end up needing one more round of alterations, I ended up paying for them myself just to save myself the pain of ever communicating with this business again.

Well Maiden Voyage has boho dresses and the one I have is only sold at their store, you cannot get it anywhere else in the Midwest. I love my dress so much and it fits perfectly! Was not impressed with the dress selection. You dress shop on your own rather than having someone help you find gowns.

The staff was very friendly, but my time was wasted. It would have been helpful if my budget was consulted while scheduling an appointment. I had a modest budget that was completely unattainable at this salon.

My lady was amazing and she made me feel important. They have a wide range of bridal dresses and we definitely recommend coming here to find your dress.

The staff here was very nice but their selection was dated. They have great designers but their inventory needs to be brought up to date. I also had a hard time that they never actually asked me what I wanted in a dress aside from the initial survey I took before getting there which was never referenced to.

From my very first visit, to picking up my dress, the ladies at Maiden Voyage Bridal always went above and beyond and made my experience exceptional. Paula was the best consultant and helped make my unique wedding dress dreams come true! I can’t say enough about how helpful she was—she even helped me put my jewelry and shoes on! My fiancé and I had just purchased a home and had to hold off ordering any big purchases for our October wedding, so I have very little time to spare. I called Maiden Voyage One Saturday just to see if they would allow a walk in and squeezed me in for an appointment 30 minutes after I called. Paula and Rachel were the two consultants what worked with me and helped me find my wedding dress (that day!!) When I let them know of my wedding date for a destination wedding they had no hesitation and immediately went to work at finding my perfect dress. They both really know their dresses and body shape that worked best for me and helped me dwindle down in my choices and something that fit my curves very well. After I found my dress there were only a few alterations needed and they called their seamstress that day to stop by and take measurements. I couldn’t believe how great their service was and stress free my experience became (especially in Covid times). I couldn’t have my sister or girlfriends with me and they stepped in to fill that role in my dress shopping experience. If you are wanting a great team to find your dress, Paula and Rachel are 100% your girls to help you find that dress!!

I had worked at Maiden Voyage Bridal for almost 5 years when I got engaged. Picking out my dream wedding gown with my boss' and coworker was a dream come true. As I continued working there and helped others begin their journey in bridal world I continued to love the shop with unconditionality. The women there love to make sure every woman who enters leaves feeling beautiful in the skin she is in, as well the soul she is. They also carry the best selection of couture bridal gowns, and have amazing prices. I recommend every bride check out maiden voyage, a place where no matter what your budget or personal taste, Paula or Rachel can find you your dream gown.

I would not recommend this place. The dresses are beautiful but the moment I walked in I had an uneasy feeling. The other places I’ve been to, you walk in and you’re greeted with a big smile and people are friendly. Here I walked in and I heard the lady at the front desk ask “Whose turn is it?” Then the lady who helped me didn’t even smile, or ask for my name, she just introduced herself and gave me a clipboard to fill out and walked away. Other places sit with you and talk to you, and they fill out a clipboard while talking with you. She did ask what I was looking for and bring in suggestions, but never really smiled the entire time. I felt like I was being an annoyance even though I was the only person there. The rest of the experience wasn’t too great either. The place is underwhelming, with a small selection of beautiful but expensive dresses. Not much room for bridal parties to sit around, which was fine for me since I came alone but this will be a problem if you have anyone with you. The woman helping me was sort of rough with me when fitting the dresses. When I told her my wedding was in six months and that I knew it was a sort timeline, she spent the rest of the appointment reminding me irritably that “You need to order a dress today” and then another consultant started joining in telling me that too. I felt very pressured by this, and it stressed me out way more than I already was. I had a budget of $2500. I said I wanted a dress with a train, and when I tried on one that didn’t have a train she tried suggesting a veil to me that was cathedral to act as a train. The veil was $1300, which is insane for a veil when other bridal salons offer me ones that are $200 or less. I told them absolutely not because it would’ve put me way over my budget, but she just reminded me again that my wedding is coming up and I need to decide ASAP. Overall, I left this place feeling very stressed and pressured. If you are coming with people, know they won’t have much room to sit, especially if there are other brides there.

I had the most amazing experience at Maiden Voyage! I felt like they listened to all of my wants and needs! I ended up saying yes to the most beautiful dress and even had customization's made to it! It arrived right on time for me to have alterations and be ready for the wedding!

I called Maiden Voyage for a walk-in appointment because I had time in between two appointments I had already made. They were very accommodating and were able to fit us in. Though they had designer dresses that you are unable to find anywhere else in St. Louis, I found that the majority of the dresses and the space were underwhelming. Maiden Voyage only has a small area for your family/friends to view the dresses you're trying on. You have to practically step over other brides in order to get your space in front of the mirror. However, that was the least of my worries while there. When I was meeting with my consultant I expressed to her that I was extremely budget conscious and really wanted to be at or below my budget of $1,500. The consultant consistently brought in dresses for me to try on that were at least twice the price of my budget and that I could in no way afford. Moral of the story is, I tried on three dresses and left.

I had a wonderful experience shopping for and buying my wedding dress at Maiden Voyage. I visited 5 other bridal shops and this was the nicest by far. They had an excellent selection for my budget. The changing rooms were large and comfortable with many huge mirrors. My consultant, Amy, was so helpful as we chose dresses and made sure my very vocal entourage didn't overshadow me. She knew I had found "the dress" before I did. I am so glad we stopped by Maiden Voyage and would recommend it to any bride hunting for her perfect dress!

While they do carry some designers that you won’t find anywhere else in saint louis, I was underwhelmed (to say the least) by the location and the ambiance. You have no privacy when trying on the dresses for your family - so be prepared to stand next to multiple brides at the same time, nearly elbow to elbow. Also, don’t expect your bridal party to be able to see your dresses - there’s hardly enough room for the brides! The staff was.... okay. Hit or a miss depending on who you see. They also have very little regard for budget, so they won’t bring you things that are in your budget - mostly will try to upsell. That being said - dresses are beautiful. Oh, one last thing - if you are bringing a grandmother here, there’s a big chance they won’t be able to even get into this building, awful high stairs - very hard for elderly to walk into!

My experience at Maiden Voyage was absolutely perfect. Jenn was my consultant, and she was so sweet and ultimately ended up picking the wedding dress of my dreams. Not only did she nail exactly what I was envisioning, but she stayed in my budget and did all the little tricks it took for me and my party to envision me as a bride. We also had my grandma with us whom can't do steps very well, and they graciously let us come through the back entrance to accommodate her. I'm so happy that the day I said "Yes to the Dress" was filled with excitement, joy and happy tears! I would 100% recommend Maiden Voyage to any bride-to-be!

I loved working with Maiden Voyage Bridal! I have to admit, looking back I was an anxious bride, which who wouldn't be! You have so many tasks to accomplish and feel overwhelmed often. But I really appreciated working with their staff. They kept record of my calls, which I did call often near the end of receiving my dress. They were so patient with me in picking out my dress and were so friendly, like family. I learned so much about my dress when I went in for the final fitting before picking it up but my dress was the last of it's kind since the manufacturer was discontinuing the dress - amazing! And the owner at this shop makes sure to go and pick out special dresses that stand out among all others. The work that goes into running such a business I had never even dreamed! I will highly highly recommend Maiden Voyage Bridal to any friends and family! I love them so much!
