Great service would definitely recommend
Thank you for capturing my wedding and being a part of the family for the day. Everything went as planned with this vendor my guests were talking about this team after the wedding. Thanks for being friendly and professional even when my guest got drunk and rowdy. And the pictures, OMG, we love love love them. The photo booth was the hit at the reception. If I had known the photo booth pictures were this nice I would have just booked a photo booth for the whole wedding.

Great Wedding Photographer
We are disappointed and heartbroken. We hired Alton Martin to be the photographer for our daughter's wedding. The job that was done at this wedding was the quality of an amateur. We knew something was wrong when we had to make numerous phone calls and wait months just to get a few pictures. We had given him a list of the traditional wedding pictures that most people want and we didn't get any of those. We definitely did not get what we paid for. We also never received the video of the ceremony. He stopped all communication 2 months ago. This ruined the entire wedding experience. I definitely would not recommend Alton Martin for any type of wedding ceremony. You will also end up disappointed and heartbroken!!

My wedding date was September 4,2021 and I have yet to receive my wedding video. I gave Alton a list of the wedding photos that I really wanted and none of them were taken. I do not even have a picture of myself alone in my wedding dress. The picture I have of my wedding dress is horrible. My dress is not on the hanger properly and the top part is just hanging. I am so upset. I have contacted Alton numerous times and still have not received my video or a refund. Alton was contacted by me on October 4th, 12th, 26th, December 3rd, and 13th. On December 13th I received a 3 minute video teaser that no matter what device or TV I watched it on was still blurry! I have not heard from Alton since December 13th and I still have no video. It is now February 22,2022 5 months after my wedding and I have no refund or video of my wedding. I am beyond heartbroken. This is literally my worst nightmare. I really wished I would have booked a different vendor.

Alton and I team is great. They were a blessing to our special day. We hired a two photographer team and I loved working with shevel who I later found out was his wife. They are a perfect couple and I think that made them the perfect photographer team because them being through this wedding day drama themselves I think give them a sense of what we wanted and everything with them was just perfect.

Amazing professional service from start to finish, great communication and very responsive to any queries we had. We came from the UK to get Married in NYC and as we had a reception booked for our return we opted for the memory card to take away with us so we could show our family a slideshow and the pictures are amazing! Shevel met us at the City Clerks office she was on time and introduced herself to us, she was our Witness as well as photographer. On arrival she explained how it was all going to pan out and put us at ease, Shevel managed to capture the whole day in the time she was with us without us feeling like she was intruding, she was able to make us feel at ease having our photos taken and knew how to capture the best shots and poses as well as some pictures of us just being us. We honestly feel we made the right choice and the quality of the service we received was far above what we expected for the price we paid! Job well done guys! We had a small wedding idea in mind and we began searching online for the a deal with the best and cheapest photographer we could find. We had a budget of $500 to split between our Officiant and photographer for 4 hours. After searching around for a few weeks we figured that the budget was not going to work as most photographers with good rating was well over $500 an hour and the ones who were willing to do everything for our tiny budget had horrible pictures on their website and mostly shitty reviews. We ran into Alton as he was shooting our friend wedding, we admired how he fixed her dress. I hesitantly approach him because I know this must have cost my friends a big bank. He gave me a business card as he was too busy to talk, he told me to look around on the website and read a few reviews before making any decision and I did just that. He was not crazily expensive but immediately I noticed that quality and cheap does not belong in the same sentence. To make this short Alton shot our wedding at $200 an hour and he had his wife Shevel who is a NYC Officiant to marry us free, that was his gift to us. We ended up spending twice our budget but it was money well worth spending. These guys are a great couple, they are a great team and I would not hesitate in recommending them to anyone who needs a professional team to hire for their wedding day.

It is very rare these days to have your expectations exceeded but that is exactly what happen with Alton & Shevel Photography. I could never have imagined how important the photographs could be but when you see how beauty they are, and it is your friends and family in them, it makes me cry every time I look at them. Don't risk your photography to anyone else but Alton & Shevel. I have had several friends get married over the last couple of years and none of them had the kind of experience that I did with our photographer. They all think I just got lucky, but I say it was because I was smart enough to hire Alton & Shevel. They are a husband and wife team who seams in love because they were always hugging ever chance, they get at times I was wondering if they are the ones getting married LOL. They treated our day with the love and emotion they were showing each other. My family said good things about them and my family can be snobbish at times LOL.

I used these guys to capture my wedding and they were fun and loving. firstly I must tell you they are a husband and wife team of photographers. we used then to capture our 10 hours wedding day. they gave us the use of the photo-booth as a wedding gift, our guest were glued to that thing. the young people especially like the fact that they could send the pics directly to there Instagram page. the wedding was a couple of months ago but I wanted to get the Pictures before I made the review then I totally forgot but I am doing it and I am happy that I found them. I recommend them. not telling you to go killing there prices but they are flexible and easy to work with. tell them Suzette sent you and you need my price LOL.

Alton took very beautiful pictures! He went above and beyond (beyond freezing temperatures) to accommodate our request. He was also the witness in our city hall marriage. He saved our day! We can't thank him enough.

We were running close on time and were not going to make it back to the city to meet the photographer we originally booked our elopement with. Vincent referred us to Alton who was absolutely wonderful. He also served as our witness and he was a great addition to our day as our “1 wedding guest/photographer/witness”. Got our pictures back in a shorter time than what he originally had quoted us for, so that was a sweet surprise to get in my email after I got off of work. Thank you for documenting our special day and being so kind to us!
What can I say? Alton was an absolute pleasure to work with. From first contacting him about one month before arriving in New York for our wedding. As we we coming from Ireland to get married, I was a little apprehensive, but Alton was there to meet with us the afternoon of our ceremony in city hall. Alton and his wife are an amazingly talented team! They were nothing but professional from the start to the end. Not only did the provide us with great officiant services but they also do wonderful photography! We eloped as a double wedding (two separate couples) so they had their hands full, but they did it flawlessly! The photos we got are beautiful and everything we could have wanted! Alton was AMAZING. He shot my NYC City Hall wedding, and I couldn't have asked for better. His photos are beautiful, to start. But he is also so professional and easy to work with - he guided us through the process (as a City Hall pro) and was so patient with capturing every photo/pose we could want and dealing with my admittedly large group of family and friends getting in shots and holding things up (as family is wont to do). I would recommend him 1,000 times over. Definitely worth it.
