Everything was perfect! I was nervous the week of about everything falling into place & that’s when Angelle, the coordinator introduced herself. She assured me that everything would be perfect and she was right! She helped make the evening go as flawless as possible. The food was also excellent…guests are still raving about it!
What an amazing venue!!! Michelle, the sales manager was so incredibly helpful, flexible, and accessible. She was so nice and easy to work with. This venue has so much character and charm and offered a variety of spaces (front lawn, porch, gazebo, inside rooms, covered patio, and outdoor fireplace) for guests to enjoy. The staff and servers were highly spoken of by the guests. So many guests have also commented on the delicious food and quality drinks.
This venue was just perfect for our 150 guests. We just could not be happier with every aspect of Maison Lafitte!
I quite literally don’t even know where to begin. Absolutely everything about Maison Lafitte was total perfection. We cannot imagine having had our wedding anywhere else. The food was amazing. The venue itself is gorgeous. The bridal suite is HUGE and beautiful. And don’t even get me started on the staff…..the staff, from beginning to end, was AMAZING. I mean total angels, every one of them. Michelle, our sales rep, was so patient and kind every step of the way. Our coordinator, Angelle, was a BEAST! The sweet angel literally talked me down from a panic attack on our rehearsal day. She was so great with the kids too, walking the flower girls and ring bearers through every step. On wedding day, she even picked up the ball that my actual wedding planner dropped. If I could go back and do it again I’d have just hired her from the get-go. This venue is absolutely elite. My fiancé and I want to get married again just to relive it over and over. Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts. Y’all were perfect in every way.
I don’t know where to even start! Maison Lafitte is the most beautiful venue. From the very beginning of wedding planning everyone was so helpful! Michelle was great with communication and answering 100 questions with no problem! For the day of our wedding and rehearsal we worked with Angelle from Maison. I can’t even put into words how AMAZING Angelle is. She is the kindest soul and made the rehearsal and wedding a breeze. She was the most helpful caring person and was constantly checking to see if we needed anything from drinks to food etc. Everything about this venue is perfect and I cannot recommend it enough!!
Gorgeous venue! Our wedding day was everything we envisioned and more. The staff was so accommodating. The food was fantastic. And Chloe was incredible to work with. Highly recommend!
Couldn’t have asked for a better wedding venue! Everything was absolutely perfect. Natasha was so helpful and the wedding ran so smooth. I didn’t have to worry about one thing the day of. We ended up having to use our rain plan and everything worked out better then I could’ve even imagined. Beautiful venue and great food! Couldn’t recommend this place enough. I’ve received so many compliments since the wedding. Truly was my dream wedding!!
The most beautiful venue and very accommodating! Chloe was fantastic in working with us during the pandemic and keeping us up to date on any changes. Food is outstanding and we got so many compliments! Would highly recommend to anyone!
This venue was a dream! We instantly fell in love at one of their open house events. Chloe, Sarah, Natasha, and Angelle were the ones who helped me the entire way through the wedding planning process. They were very attentive to our needs the whole way through. Chloe is amazing and helped coordinate everything. I would definitely recommend using her decor business, Glo! Natasha was the day of event coordinator and everything flowed flawlessly throughout the day/night. Angelle was very sweet and took care of me the day of too. They definitely know what they are doing and if you are looking for a day of coordinator and smooth wedding day, Maison Lafitte is the way to go!
Amazing venue! I had my ceremony and reception here. The entire venue is gorgeous and had many places to take photos. The food, catered by the Lakehouse, was delicious! I planned this from out of town- the staff was very helpful and responded to all of my calls and emails, making it a much easier process. Every last detail was taken care of. Thank you Chloe, Natasha, and Angelle! I had the best night!
I have a loss of words for how much I loved our venue!
Maison Lafitte is not only gorgeous on the exterior, where we said our vows, but the inside and outdoor pavilion are just as beautiful!
And they have a staff to match! Chloe and Natasha were dreams to work with! They answered every question, stupid or not, that I threw at them and alleviated every once of stress I could possibly have for the day!
Their day of staff were the sweetest people you could meet, eager to help out with anything we needed!
If you are looking for a timeless venue and a staff that make you feel at home, go visit them!!
Absolutely beautiful venue. Perfect for 180/200 people wedding. Food was amazing and so were the drinks!!
I'm an event planner in New Orleans, so when my son's fiance chose the Northshore location that I hadn't worked with, I was nervous. The pictures were beautiful but I was still skeptical. I made an appointment with Chloe to do a site visit myself and also to look at their sister restaurant, The LakeHouse, as a possible rehearsal dinner location. I was blown away by the ambiance and beauty and their willingness to work with me and meet my expectations. When it was all said and done, we had a beautiful night on the lake at The LakeHouse for our rehearsal dinner then an amazing evening at Maison Lafitte for the reception. Chloe, Sara, Angelle and Ashley were so helpful and on top of every detail. The food was amazing and our Guests were treated like kings. I would definitely have another event here!
I am so happy to have chosen Maison Lafitte to host my wedding on January 11, 2019. My husband and I are from New Jersey and decided we wanted to have a destination wedding in New Orleans because we love the music, food, and spirit of the city. We decided to look at Maison Lafitte, even though it was further form the city then we preferred, and we are so happy we did. From the gas lanterns, twinkle lights, beautiful indoor set up and outdoor pavilion we knew we had the picturesque southern wedding we were hoping for. Chloe was with us throughout the process providing us with all the necessary details and asking all the questions (that I never would have thought of) to make sure we had the exact wedding we desired. A week before the wedding we met Ashley who was with us on the day of and she was just as professional and helpful. The day before the wedding I realized I forgot place cards and they took care of it no questions asked. We also discovered we were going to have a chillier night then anticipated so they made sure we had extra heaters so we could still have our wedding outside. They even accommodated moving the wedding 30 minutes earlier to make sure we had enough sunlight for the ceremony and family pictures. I was a little concerned about the food being made off the premises, but after the tasting I was immediately put at ease. The Lakehouse provided the most delicious food. It was difficult making our final menu, however I do not think we could have gone wrong with any of the choices. My one warning for destination brides is that Chloe is very involved with all of the weddings so she is not always able to respond right away. This made me a little nervous, however she delivered on everything promised. I also used her for all of the decorations and that was the best decision I ever made.
Maison Lafitte was one the best choices I made for my wedding. I knew it was “The One” the moment I saw it. It’s absolutely beautiful! Chloe was awesome throughout the process and Ashley was the bomb the days before and of the wedding! They executed my day perfectly even though it rained. I’ll always be indebted to Chloe for texting back a nervous bride at 3am when I was upset about the weather. She made sure to reassure me and went above and beyond to make sure things were perfect irregardless of the weather. Decor, ambience, food and service were everything I imagined and more. Even though it rained, things went on without a hitch! You would’ve thought it was planned that way from the start. Overall, everything was excellent and I’m so happy I chose my special day to take place at Maison Lafitte. Thanks guys!
This venue made my wedding dreams come true. I knew when we first toured that Maison Lafitte captured our old souls and vintage style. We fell in love with the look and feel of the entire place from the wrap-around porch, gas lamps, wooden floors and entertainment pavilion in the backyard. I'm still getting compliments on our wedding and the amazing food! Chloe made the dream a reality and Natasha was my day-of venue coordinator. She always made sure I had champagne and even changed my shoes for me-what an angel! I'd do it all over again!
We absolutely loved this venue. It turned out even more beautiful than it is on its own. Family and friends had a blast at the wedding, and those that worked for the venue are so friendly and kind. Would definitely recommend to a friend.
The venue was perfect! We got married down the street and had a second line from the church to the venue. The wedding coordinators Chloe and Natasha were so helpful! Beautiful house and the outdoor area was a bonus!
Words cannot express the amount of gratitude that I have towards everyone at Maison Lafitte! Chloe was great getting all the details ready for our wedding and Natasha did an AMAZING job executing our wedding!! I was so relaxed the day of, not a worry in sight thanks to Natasha. The ladies were always available to talk through email or text, which helps a bride! The food was amazing, my guests still talk about it to this day! Honestly, if I could get married again, I would choose Maison Lafitte one more time!! Thank you for everything, I can't share my gratitude enough!!
There are no words to express how amazing and wonderful the venue, staff, food and atmosphere of Maison Lafitte is! All the task leading up to wedding, rehearsal dinner and then ceremony/reception was run so smoothly! Natasha and Angelle you both made the night wonderful and I wish we could go back and do it all over again! The venue is an amazing place and I can’t recommend enough for any occasion! Sad it’s all over but will never forget the memories made on November 11!
I could not say enough good about Maison Lafitte! The staff was amazing and very professional. They handled every last detail with ease and everything looked beautiful!
I debated for a while on writing this review because I am generally not a negative person, but I was/am so upset and disappointed on how my wedding turned out. I feel I may save someone else from making the same mistakes as I did. I did plan my wedding rather quickly (3 months), but I thought if I kept things simple everything would go pretty smoothly. I felt like the planning was very unorganized and chaotic. The day we were suppose to do our food tasting we showed up at The Lakehouse and the planner had forgotten about our appointment and had booked herself with another couple, so we were just quickly handed a sheet of paper fill out and return with our vendors and their information. The day before the wedding we were suppose to have a walk through of where everyone and everything was suppose to be. After hours of the venue not being able to get in touch with the girl they had selected to be our wedding day coordinator, they realized they had booked her to be at another event. We did wind up going to the venue to drop off decorations but were unable to do know for sure how everything was going to go when we showed up the following evening. I didn't meet my coordinator until two hours before the wedding, and although I truly believe she did the best she could to pull it together, she was left super uninformed and unprepared. I hired an expensive photographer and paid him extra to come 2 hours before the ceremony to do the "first look" and to get some pictures of us getting ready, but instead my husband wind up having to help with the setup and we didn't get to take any of the pictures we had discussed with the photographer before hand. When we got to the ceremony nobody knew where to go or where to stand and it looked really thrown together. I will say that the food/bar service people were very friendly and helpful, and the venue itself was beautiful. Although everything turned out to be a complete disaster, I do not blame our day of coordinator for things turning out the way they did. I feel that a day that was suppose to be happy and exciting, and the best day of my life turned into a day of stress, disaster, and regret (on choice of venues). If you are absolutely set on having a wedding here, my best advice would be to hire your own coordinator to make sure your day goes as planned.
Maison Lafitte was such an amazing reception venue! Chloe and Natasha went above and beyond to communicate with me and my family and make everything exceptional at my reception (even came to the rescue when one of my buttons popped off of my dress). The new added on covered patio is so gorgeous and just makes the venue. The food is also amazing and I received many compliments from my guests. I highly recommend this venue for your wedding and/or reception!
Madison Lafitte was perfect for my wedding! We did the rehearsal dinner at the Lakehouse and the wedding in a circle under the pavilion at Maison Lafitte. The coordinators were so helpful and knowledgeable. The way they thought to spread out the food made the reception flow smoothly and easily, they came up with a rain plan just in case, they helped with timing and were absolutely fabulous! The food was delicious, and the staff was so helpful! They sent us with tons of food to go and even put drinks in the limo for us! Really couldn't have been more pleased with this venue or the ladies that helped us plan and worked our event. Professionals who made it easy for my new husband and our families to enjoy the night!
Our son and daughter-n-law's rehearsal dinner took place November18, 2016. The setting, food quality, service and ambience were all outstanding. Cody, our event manager for the evening was excellent and very caring. Unfortunately, several of the details which we had made clear to the person with whom we booked the event were not communicated to Cody and the service team. This was unfortunate and somewhat disconcerting. Despite this, the evening was beautiful.
This lovely, historic former home is an outstanding venue for a Mandeville wedding/reception--beautiful inside and out. They just completed construction of a huge outdoor covered pavilion that architecturally mirrors the arches of the front porch. Surrounded by a big yard complete with a quaint gazebo and moss draped oak trees, the outdoor setting is spacious and romantic. At my daughter's recent reception for 175 guests, there was plenty of room on the patio for a 12 x 24 foot stage for a 7 piece band and still tons of space for dancing, tables, a Photo Booth, bar, snoball and food station--and that was just outside. We also rented two large Port-o-cools and two fans to keep the dance floor cool in the late May weather, but the non obtrusive ceiling fans provide a nice breeze as well. Antique chandeliers add to the beauty and romance of the outdoor space. We did some additional outdoor lighting in the trees, but it probably would have been fine without it.
The inside of the house is very pretty on its own without the need to decorate further, beyond flowers on the tables and whatever special mementos you might want to display. They have several cute tables and a fireplace mantel to place photos, favors, guest book etc., and a lovely curved window that makes a great backdrop for the cake table. The venue has a good number of tables, chairs and linens included, so our rentals were minimal.
The food was amazing; most of our guests were from out of town and they raved about the many delicious tastes of Louisiana offered--shrimp, oysters, beignets and cafe au last shooters to name a few. Only wish I was able to eat more but having too good a time to sit and eat! The bride and groom had an adorable sweetheart table set for them in the upstairs room where they could grab a few private moments during the reception(also perfect for bride to finish getting dressed ahead of time--antique piano with vases for the bouquets made a gorgeous photo op). Saw a prior reviewer complain about food and drink "disappearing" but we did not experience this. Took a huge amount of cake home in fact.
The service was great and went off without a hitch. Greatly appreciated our wedding coordinator, Shelley from Simply Amour to help keep us organized and run the timeline, but the venue offered to do this as well. Chloe Henderson was so helpful from start to finish, offering tons of advice and support. She was a dream to work with!!
I cannot recommend this venue any more highly. If by chance you are getting married at the nearby Our Lady of the Lake church, not sure why you would even look anywhere else!
It is a gorgeous venue but the coordinators are pretty horrible there. We confirmed and paid for 145 head and only had about 120 people show for our wedding. Which meant a TON of food leftover that WE paid for, and the coordinators would not let us take it home. My wedding cake also went MIA. $800 cake cut 20 minutes before end of reception with only half my guests there, and they had the nerve to tell me that my guests ate it all. My mom watched them bring it to the back into the kitchen and never come back out with it. Also don't trust your expensive champagne to them to serve for you, it will also disappear. The coordinators are no help. The main coordinator was only helpful until money was in hand then really couldn't have been bothered once the venue was reserved. It is an absolutely lovely venue, but as a word of advice to any future brides choosing this venue, hire your own "personal" day of wedding planner to keep them in line. Trust me, you need it. If these people aren't watched, they steal. Shouldn't be what any bride has to deal with on her special day, or immediately there after.
The venue is really pretty, the girls who work there are very sweet and helpful. They really do a great job putting it all together. We got some really fantastic pictures here. You don't need much decor of your own, the venue alone is pretty enough.
The food was really good, and I actually don't typically like buffet food and was certain I would not like our own food since I was out of state and unable to taste before. But I actually loved it, and so did my guest, I got the most compliments on the food.
My biggest complaint with this venue was that we utilized both indoor and outdoor. We had a band outdoor, it was very hot outside, the venue did not tell me that I needed to rent my own fans so half my guest stayed inside and the rest toughed through the heat and went outside. Overall, I think the venue is beautiful, the girls were very helpful, just wish I would have known the tid bit about needing to rent my own fans.
I would recommend this venue, it was very pretty, lots of charm, food was great. Just don't forget the fans!
I just had my wedding here a week ago for 174 adults and 11 kids. We had our ceremony on the gazebo on the side of the house. This house was built in the 1800s.. it is not HUGE, but it is gorgeous. I loved the atmosphere. We had an outdoor ceremony, with an indoor/outdoor reception. Dancing was outside under a tent, and food and table was inside. It does not take a ton of decorations to make this venue beautiful-- it really speaks for itself. The food was provided by the venue, it was awesome. Our family and friends were going back for multiple plates. Everything was prepared perfectly, and we loved how the food offerings were unique with a Louisiana flair to it. I highly recommend Maison Lafitte to brides in the Mandeville area. It's location is wonderful, the staff is accommodating, and the food is well worth the money. I got ready in the bridal suite upstairs with my bridesmaids, and it gave me the perfect view of the gazebo so I could watch everything get set up during my wedding day! This really is a must-see venue, I am SO GLAD this is where I married the man of my dreams :)
