Makeup And Hair By Traci

Paid $3062.83 to have 9 women have hair/airbrush makeup done and 1 woman to just have makeup done. They didn’t follow the timeline given, we were not only late to the venue but one woman didn’t get her makeup done. I asked for a refund which is $85 and was sent a hostile email, stating that Traci had already been in contact with the bride and that the bride had told her she was happy with the services provided and that she would not be “threatened” by me. I had emailed saying I wanted to reach out to her to tell her what had happened before posting a review, since Traci was supposed to be there that day but had fallen ill. The bride, my daughter, was never contacted by Traci. When this was pointed out to Traci, she stated she does not give refunds. She stated she wanted every member of the bridal party to call her. Then she wanted the woman who hadn’t gotten her makeup done to call her. Then she wanted the bride to call her. I replied that she can call her herself. Of course she hasn’t. One woman had to redo her own eye makeup and remove black pins from her platinum blond hair that were extremely visible. I was told by Traci that perhaps I wasn’t aware, but there was a shortage on pins, and good for us that we walked down to Walgreens and were able to buy them. We had no issues ordering a selection of different colors from Amazon way before the wedding date for the bridesmaids bags, so this comment from Traci about walking to Walgreens is very odd. One woman’s makeup was falling off in chunks as soon as we walked into the venue, not even an hour after her makeup had been finished. One woman’s eye makeup had black mascara smudges under her eyes while still at the house. The makeup artist was too busy to fix it, so we fixed it. Maybe the makeup artist shouldn’t use Maybelline Great Lash mascara for a wedding? I had to ask Dana to fix my hair because she did the exact opposite of what I asked her to, yet I still complimented her on her work despite her complaining about having to fix my hair. Several members of our party witnessed Dana complaining and they all started saying to just leave my hair down then. So my hair was left down and Dana did curl it and it looked much better than what she’d previously done. My mascara also smudged. The false lashes that were applied weren’t even visible on my eyes. One woman had extensions fixed by the bride at the house because the pins were showing. The woman doing hair didn’t have time to fix it. One redid her own hair because she’d been given a style opposite of what she’d requested. Another woman also had to redo her own hair for the same reason. The bride’s makeup and hair done by Dana was absolutely beautiful, it’s a shame her hair didn’t stay in place for very long. The bride drove 2 hours to have her trial done by Dana and was happy with the makeup but not the hairstyle and felt confident that Dana would be able to correct that on the day of the wedding, which she did, but her hair did not stay up in place. It started falling down right after the ceremony. To pay that much money for everyone, you’d expect everyone to have beautiful makeup and hair, which was not the case in our situation. If you don’t receive a service that’s in a contract, you should be refunded for that immediately and an apology should be issued, not some lengthy, hostile email demanding everyone call you. We know we’ll never see that refund.
