Evan helped take away so much stress of wedding planning. He is very easy-going and was always available to answer any questions. He touched base often to assure our vision was being captured. Evan is the best! He was recommended to us by another photographer, and I'm so grateful that we booked with him! He is communicative, friendly, affordable, and takes beautiful pictures. Most importantly for us, he makes you feel comfortable in front of the camera and walks you through everything step by step. Wether it was talking about package options, shoot locations, poses, or timelines, Evan guided us through all of our options and made everything feel seamless and easy. He is also very adaptable--our wedding had 30mph winds and Evan worked with us to take as many pictures outside as possible! As an added bonus, we got our wedding pictures back in less than 2 weeks! Evan was fantastic from the moment we contacted him, all the way up to wedding day. He is extremely organized, professional, and straightforward. Evan came all the way from his area to Philly for our engagement shots, and they were better than we could have ever hoped for. Evan showed up well before the time we met him to scope the area and ensure we had some really great spots. We traveled to two separate locations, and Evan even ended up spending extra time with us. Heading up to the wedding, Evan reached out to us, and spent time going over the entire timeline for the wedding, and offered suggestions where appropriate. During the wedding, Evan had an additional photographer, Elizabeth, who was equally awesome. Their passion for their craft really showed during the day. When we received the photos, only a week later, both us, and our families were amazed. They couldn't have captured the day more perfectly. We both couldn't be happier with our decision to have Evan as our photographer, and I am certain you won't either.

We had the pleasure of working with Evan for our engagement shoot in August 2019. He has always been very easy to work with and open to our crazy suggestions (like taking pictures with archery bows and arrows) and turned our vision into a reality! He reserved two dates for our shoot (one back-up rain date) which came in handy as well. We never had professional pictures taken before, but we felt very at-ease and comfortable with Evan. From day one Evan went above and beyond for us. We started off with engagement photos, he found us an amazing location that fit our personalities and they came out phenomenal. We hired Evan for our wedding in February 2019, and couldn’t have made a better decision in doing so. From our engagement photo session, to our wedding, it was an absolute pleasure working with him. During our engagement shoot, he kept it lighthearted and fun, to make sure our photos were genuine and true to who we are as a couple. Leading up to our big day, Evan kept in contact with us to provide insight and photo ideas to make the day go as smooth as possible. On our wedding day, he was punctual and professional, yet provided a laid-back and comfortable environment for everyone involved in our wedding photos. Evan had an amazing turn around time with processing and making our wedding photos available to us. Our experience with Evan and Makuvek Photography was one in a million and I’m glad we trusted him with capturing our special day.

We were lucky enough to have Evan and Teresa photograph our wedding in May 2018. It was a 2nd marriage for both of us, so we were not as in to fine details as maybe some first timers would be, but Evan made us think of those little details to ensure to include them if we wanted. Well in advanced, he surveyed us to ensure he knew what our activities would be before, during and after the ceremony. He has quite an eye for picking out backgrounds and capturing the whole scene and mood of the day. He was very organized about taking those family shots we had somewhat planned out in advanced, but also laid back enough to caption those action shots we did not anticipate. One of the best compliments I can offer was that a guest commented they knew he was there by all the great pictures he took, but they never actually saw him taking pictures - he had just faded into the background unobtrusively. Once the day was over, he very quickly (the next day...) sent us a file with our pictures. Ever a romantic, he explained that we should wait to open the file until we were alone together in a relaxed atmosphere, grab a glass of wine and then view the pictures together. We did just that - from the porch of the Maine Inn we had chosen for a short honeymoon. There we could see how he had captured our perfect day - perfectly!

Evan's portraits are almost as beautiful as my bride! His upbeat personality brought out the joy we were feeling in every posed shot, and his candid shots made me feel like I was back on the dance floor. Highly recommended!

No distance can stop evan from providing the kind of services you want while planning your wedding and the day of your wedding. (PA to SC to be exact). Communication was beyond easy with him and any questions we had were answered promptly. He helped us choose what was the best wedding package for us and he delivered way beyond what i would have ever expected from anyone.
