Mandola's Italian Catering

We have always loved eating at Mandola's. When we started planning our wedding in Fredericksburg we had been told most vendors from Austin, San Antonio, and DFW would not travel far for services so we started looking into our local vendors. After speaking with a few, we became quite unsatisfied with what they had curated for us, in terms of food, their attitude about the wedding, and the overall pricing. Then, after one of our day trips into Austin, we stopped for lunch at Mandola's and asked if it would be possible to cater our event and we are so thankful it was. To start, I really loved how the catering menu is designed and organized. It gave us enough options to choose from but not so many that we felt overwhelmed. It is very well balanced and helped us get an idea of what y'all had to offer. Upon reaching out, I was so pleased to find out that they were willing to work with us on doing a plated meal service. This was something I really wanted to do and worried it wasn't possible because of our location. I really appreciated Amanda and the Mandolas team going above and beyond to make it happen. Amanda was truly the one who made the whole experience so enjoyable and fun for us to plan from start to finish. She helped create a dinner beyond our expectations all while being friendly and professional. She was always good with communication and helped answer all our questions. After months of coordinating and planning, the day couldn't have been more perfect. The servers were attentive, the bartenders were friendly, and overall everyone was professional. I was honestly blown away at how well it all came together. Andres turned Contigo into a 5 star restaurant. I still am getting compliments on how delicious his cooking was. Overall, everyone helped create such a relaxing and magical atmosphere. We are so grateful to have had Mandola's, Amanda, Alexis, Andres, and all the staff that helped put together the most incredible meal for us to enjoy with our family and friends. It really changed our experience from a negative one to a positive one just solely based off Amanda's willingness to provide us with the best for our special day. We look forward to using Mandola's Catering in the future.

Mandola's was the perfect caterer for our wedding! We chose Mandola's because we eat there regularly and love their food and they are very reasonably priced among all the catering companies in Austin. We worked with Amanda who was a delight and helpful partner through all the planning. She answered all of our questions and made the process seamless for us. Beyond the excellent service leading up to the wedding, the team that worked that day was wonderful! The bartenders worked quickly to ensure we didn't have long lines and the team serving and clearing was efficient. And of course, the food was delicious - several guests have raved about it! Delicious! As a native New Yorker who misses Italian food, I knew I wanted Italian served at our wedding. The only issue is that you can't get great Italian in Austin. Or so I thought until I stumbled upon Mandola's. All of our guests raved about the food! Amanda was amazing to work with and I'm truly so thankful for everything!

Our guests could not stop raving about Mandola's! They loved the portion size and said everything tasted delicious! The price was very reasonable in comparison to other catering vendors. We worked with Alexis and she was extremely helpful and flexible throughout the entire process! We could not recommend a catering service more than Mandola's!

We used Mandola's for our wedding and they catered the buffet, did the bar tending, and made our cake for us. The food was incredible! Their service went above and beyond. Amanda was super helpful and made working with them so easy.

Do you love fresh pizza? Do you want pizza at your wedding? If you're even remotely thinking yes, trust me - do it! This pizza is delicious, they have options for everyone, and it made our reception so fun! Alexis is quick to respond and answers all of the questions and ever changing head count. They were on time, kind to guests and we even have leftovers they boxed up for the after party.

AMAZING! I had a seamless experience with Mandola's from start to finish. They are super professional and helpful and not to mention the food was a hit to all of our guests. The price is also great for the quality of food. 10/10 recommenced!

It was everything that we hoped for. Booked them without a taste test, and were they ever one-in-a-million jackpot win. The food was outstanding! Blake was AWESOME and communicative as he listened to all my questions and was so quick with all his answers; he offered some great, flexible options for our menu to meet our dietary and budgetary needs. There was confirmation for everything and the serving and clean-up saff on the day of was so prompt and professional; we were more than pleased. We feasted on lasagna, chicken cannelloni, roasted veggies (AMAZING) and antipasto; We had Italian Cream Cake and a CANNOLI TOWER (!!!!) for dessert. It was the best choice we could have made. The flavor was amazing and rich but not too heavy so that our guests felt energized for a full night of dancing and celebration.

We had a great experience with Mandola's. We got their gelato cart, pizza oven, buffet style roast chicken and veggies, and dessert trays as well as some appetizers for cocktail hour. They were easy to work with and we appreciate their hard work in making our day special. Everyone LOVED the food - all of it! We highly recommend Mandola's Italian Catering.

Of all the vendors we worked with, none were more accommodating and affordable than Mandola's...AND the food was excellent. While the guests at my son's rehearsal dinner seemed to really enjoy the meatballs (passed as appetizers) and the pizza (cooked fresh outside in the portable pizza over), I'm not sure there was anyone who didn't make at least two trips to the gelato cart!

I cannot recommend Mandola's enough! The food was absolutely delicious and also really affordable for our intimate wedding. Delia was such a pleasure to communicate with throughout the whole process - she always responded so promptly and was very flexible with a date change and updates to the menu. We also got our wedding cake from Mandola's and it turned out so beautiful and absolutely delicious!

Talk about excellent food and service! Delia, the director of catering, was very organized and easy to communicate with. Her staff at the event was timely, professional, and had great energy throughout the entirety of the event. They were extremely personable, attentive, and efficient. And the food was exceptional! Highly recommend!

Mandola’s made our dream day even better with their amazing brick oven pizza and salad bar. Delia responded quickly to any and every question we had. Very thorough in our planning process and on the day of I was missing a few linens and Anna was quick to help at no questions asked. Our guests raved about how good the food was.

She was always quick to respond and so helpful with planning food service during these days of COVID restrictions. We are so happy that we went with Mandola's for our rehearsal dinner-- planning was a breeze with Delia, and the event itself went so smoothly. We chose the Bee Cave location and it was perfect and budget-friendly. Everyone LOVED the food (order the chicken marsala!!!) and the dessert!

We booked the mobile pizza oven for our cocktail hour and it was a hit! The team was flexible and accommodating, and obviously the food was stellar. Affordable and unique was to feed your guests and give them a different wedding experience. Would highly recommend - it was so much fun!

Mandola’s Catering staff did an outstanding job on our son’s wedding this past Saturday! The food and presentation were both fabulous - had so many compliments on everything from our guests - the delicious pizzas served hot from their authentic mobile pizza oven, the beautiful wedding cake, and the flavorful gelato! The entire staff was professional, helpful, friendly, and flexible throughout the entire process including the wedding itself! They so added to our special evening - HIGHLY recommend them!

MANDOLAS IS AMAZING! I had them cater my wedding and they brought in a real fire brick oven to cook pizzas that tasted to die for! Also, my wedding was elegant and formal- but EVERYONE still loves pizza! All of our guests said the food was amazing and that it was such a relief to get good food at a wedding! We had Pizza, salads, pasta, bread, and great bartenders from Mandolas! It was seriously the BEST decision we could of made. They were also amazing about making sure me and my husband had exactly what we wanted. My drink stayed full, our pizza was customized to our exact wishes, and appetizer plates were saved for us while we were taking photos. Book Mandolas and you and your guests will BE SO HAPPY YOU DID!

Delia Prieto is the BEST!!!! If you love Italian, I highly recommend Mandolas. Their selection was absolutely perfect!

We can't even express how thankful we are to Mandola's. They were by far one of the best decisions we made on our wedding day. Since the beginning, Delia Prieto was the best!!!. She was always very nice and passionate about her job, totally and completely reliable, and super professional! One of the things you have to consider for your wedding is having a caterer that is prepared and has enough experience for any last minute change that can happen because of the weather. We had an original plan of setting everything outside, that day the buffet table, chairs, etc was outside and suddenly, the sun changed to rain in less than a minute! Mandolas and their team really surprised us on how well and stress free they managed the whole situation. We ended up having the food under the Pavillion and the result was still fantastic! Everyone keep telling us how delicious the food selection was and how amazed they were by Mandola's. Don't think twice when it comes to your caterer. You need someone commited to they job and someone that will always be reliable no matter what. Thanks so much Mandola's!!

Delia is my hero! Mandola's was great. We received SO MANY compliments on the food. Even from the real Italian that came all the way from Italy. Mandola's was reasonably priced, super organized and really helpful. We were able to do a tasting and pick our final menu, which was fantastic. They also had a gluten free option to help accommodate our 10 gluten free guests! Delia and team worked so hard for us and made our day super special. Can't thank them enough.

We used Mandola's Italian Catering for our rehearsal dinner and were blown away with the food. We also used their facilities for our dinner and we felt undisturbed by other guests not in our party. Mandolas Italian Catering served 260 people at my daughter’s wedding Saturday, June 16. The food was superior! Baked ziti, lasagna, pizza , salads, apps... it was all delicious. The pizza oven was set up so guests could see the pizzas being made through the window. Loved it! The change from appetizers to buffet was seamless and guests were served quickly. Their bakery was also in charge of the brides cake , an Italian cream cake was delicious and cut and served by staff. All the food was just amazing and I still have people texting me today about how good it was. One guest said it was the best wedding food they’d ever had! The most amazing part of my experience was staff!!! From menu planning to last minute additions, and dinner service, staff was kind, respectful and stayed on top of their game. Highly recommend Mandola’s food, wine, appetizers, and especially their events team! We recently hosted a rehearsal dinner for our wedding at Mandolas in their side room to host about 40 guests. The side room has an entrance to the playground that guests could walk through during our event, but despite our concern, we didn’t notice anyone coming through - it was as if we had our own large room! The Delia and the staff at Mandola’s were a pleasure to work with and coordinated with our guest size and setting up pictures and decor. Thank you Mandola’s team for hosting an amazing rehearsal dinner for us and showing all of our out-of-state guests what TX hospitality is like!

From the planning process to the wedding day, the staff was organized and professional. Everything went smoothly and the communication was excellent. I loved the vegan and vegetarian options for our guest as well!

The number of people who told me that Mandola's provided the BEST wedding food they'd ever tasted was at least most of our guest list. It was seriously delicious, and to make it even better, Delia, the catering manager, is actually one of the nicest, most accomodating people that you could ever hope to meet. She was so helpful with figuring out how much food to order, what entrees and salads would work best, and all the details I would have never thought of. On the day of our wedding, they made extra sure that my wife and I got a healthy serving of all of our favorites and it was just so tasty. My mom can't stop talking about how hot all the food was - she says that a buffet is almost always lukewarm, but somehow Mandola's made sure that everything was piping hot and she LOVED it. The pizza oven and gelato bar were two of my favorite things and made everything feel just a little bit extra. To top off all of this awesomeness, not only was Mandola's food fantastic, the service unbeatable, but the cost was literally half of the bids I got from other caterers! HALF! I could not believe it, especially now that it's all over and looking back on how great everything ended up being, it's even more amazing what a good deal it really was. Thank you so much to Delia, Anna, and their amazing team, you were such a big part of what made our day so great!

We hired Mandola's to cater our December wedding a couple of weeks ago, and it was truly the best decision we made! Not only was the food delicious (it's one of our favorite restaurants in Austin), the staff at our cocktail hour and reception provided the best service possible. They were so fun and sweet and definitely catered to our every need as bride and groom. Delia was also such a joy to work with. She was so responsive from the very beginning, and she made the whole wedding planning process so much easier for us in regards to food and drinks. Mandola's was perfect!!

We just had our son's rehearsal dinner at Mandola's last weekend. We do not live in TX so we found this venue on The Knot. It had great reviews so we went with it, and I'm so glad we did! The event planner at Mandela's, Delia, was incredible easy to work with, and very accommodating. The food was incredible, and the service was simply amazing! We were extremely satisfied with our decision to go with Mandela's, and would recommend them to anyone looking for an authentic Italian restaurant for their special event. My son and his now wife, loved it as much as we did! I give them five stars!!!

I used Mandolas for my wedding 1 week ago and they were AMAZING and priced affordably if you aren't trying to spend 4 thousand on catering! The pizza oven was a hit with my guests, they are still saying how great it was! I also had the new gelato bar and it was so worth it! I would recommend them any day! PURE PERFEFCTION!

Mandola's did an wonderful job at our wedding. The food was delicious and the staff was great. However, the biggest part was all of the help I received prior to the big day. Mandola's Italian catered our outdoor wedding this past weekend and they were all around spectacular! They have an adorable brick pizza oven they use to make the pizza at the venue so everything is hot and fresh when guests get it. Many people doubted our decision of serving pizza at our black tie wedding, but after dinner we received so many compliments. Everyone loved the idea and said it was their favorite wedding meal they've had. Mandola's brings all of the equipment needed, tables, table cloths, serving utensils, wooden pizza boards to make it look nice, and small signs with the type of pizza written on it. Their staff of three plus people also do all of the heavy lifting as well as clean any rented silverware so it is return ready. Delia is the main person we were in contact with and she was so helpful and did a great job managing the event. On top of everything the price is so reasonable and much more affordable than any other caterers we looked into. If you want a fun meal your guests will love I would highly recommend giving them a call!

We had our rehearsal dinner at Mandola's (Arbor Trails). Jen was incredibly helpful leading up to and planning the event. The food was all delicious, the serving staff was so helpful and amazing. We even held our actual ceremony rehearsal in the large grassy area on the side of the restaurant. The whole event was so smooth and made the night before my wedding totally stress free. Highly recommend!

We live 6 hours from Austin and as the mother of the groom, I searched for a rehearsal dinner venue from a great distance. After spending many hours on the internet researching, I decided to contact Mandola's Italian- Arbor Trails for more information. I am so happy that I did! Jen Zaligson was such a pleasure to work with. She answered all questions quickly and was the most accommodating person that I have worked with in a very long time. She set up a tasting for my son and his fiancé and they were also very impressed with the food and the service. When we booked the date and began to work on the details, Jen was again very helpful and professional. Every suggestion that she made turned out to be the perfect choice. We had 35 people attend in the half room. All menu items were excellent. She recommended appetizers and also helped us accommodate special dietary needs for the meal. The appetizers and main meal were served buffet style and it was perfect for us. We chose the following menu options: unlimited fountain drinks; appetizers: meatballs, mushroom and leek tarts, stuffed mushrooms; entrees: chicken picatta, lasagne; sides: mista salad, grilled vegetables, foccacia bread; dessert: tiramisu, mini canonnoli tray. The guests all bragged on how good the food was and we enjoyed our time together in a great atmosphere. We did have some food leftover and the servers bagged it up for us and we were able to send food home with the bride's family to help with all of their company. The location was conveniently located and being in a large shopping center area, there was plenty of parking. I don't usually take time to write reviews, but I asked for the Knot link to leave a review based on our experience because it would have been so helpful to me if I had been able to read something like this when I was searching for a place to host such a special event. I have no idea how many hours I searched reviews online looking for the perfect place. It was exhausting. I hope that this review is helpful to someone looking for the perfect venue for a get-together. The cost was reasonable for the type of event we were hosting, the servers were very helpful and worked hard to make sure we had a good experience while there, and the event coordinator, Jen, could not have done a better job. I highly recommend you work with Mandola's for your special event.

We rented the banquet room at Mandola's in Bee Cave for our rehearsal dinner and could not have been more pleased. The service was excellent, and SO many guests kept saying how great the food was. Mandola's took care of every single detail and made that night completely stress-free. The on-site playground for the little kids was a great plus, too!

Mandolas was the perfect choice for our wedding day! We could not have asked for a better menu or service team. We had the unique experience of being one of the largest parties Mandolas has worked with (about 300 guests), and not once did we feel any anxiety about this. Mandolas touched base with us frequently without us having to track them down, provided a warm welcome...and generous tasting!...and accommodated all of our particular desires with a smile (down to how we wanted the appetizers set on tables!). Everything went down without a hitch...a huge blessing on such an important day. And the icing on top?? Not only do they serve amazing food with a smile, they're incredibly affordable too. If you're looking for Italian catering, there really is no other choice. They're the best!

My husband and I wanted to make our wedding different. he didn't get to chose much, so I agreed to "pizza" and pasta. This was such a great idea! Not only do they have great food and wonderful service, it's a great change to serve something different at your wedding! ALL MY GUESTS LOVED THE FOOD! They bring the mobile over and cook the pizzas right on site. My mother told me, since I was so busy during the wedding, that the staff was WONDERFUL! Initially she was against the "pizza" idea, but it turned out to be a huge hit, with everyone! Great food. Amazing service. Wonderful Choice. - Megan and Michael

We chose Mandola's Italian Kitchen to cater our wedding because my husband absolutely loves their food. I can't be more please with the service and quality we received. They were by far the bast vendor we used for our wedding; the food was delicious, the servers we attentive, the price was unbeatable. We had chicken marsala and cheese manicotti, with a selection of appetizers and sides. Every bit of it was more than we could have asked. In addition to doing our dinner we used Mandola's for our cakes. They presented us with perfect italian cream wedding cake and a decadent dark chocolate grooms cake. Both were rich and wonderful, and decorated beautifully. I would choose them again in a heartbeat!
