Emily was amazing! We hired her as a day of planner, and she went above and beyond our expectations to assist both before and during the wedding. We had multiple meetings with her beforehand to discuss logistics and get everything organized, received great recommendations for other vendors, and had an extremely smooth experience the day of.
We worked with Emily for the past 6 months on our wedding and we are deeply disappointed at the service we got.
1) Lack of ownership
Emily and us had a meeting with the rental company on linens and dinnerwares. She handled the ordering with the rental company on the final count for each time. When the catering company received the order, there were many mistakes and missing items.
2) Failed to attend vendor meeting without an early notice
We had a tasting meeting with the catering company that Emily agreed to attend. On the day of meeting, I reached out to her a few hours before the meeting and was informed by her that she couldn't make it. I understand life happens and people sometimes can't make to meetings. What troubles me is lack of communication and lack of curtesy of an early notice.
3) Failed to follow through on action items
It happened multiple times when she mentioned in person or through emails / phone calls that she would get certain things done by a certain date. These thing fell through and didn't get done on time. For example, she mentioned back in January that she would schedule a venue walkthrough, quoting her own words "by next week", with us and the no actions were taken until end of May.
4) Can't take feedback
After another vendor meeting where she didn't show up, I asked her to give me a headsup next time if she can't make it to a meeting. I provided the feedback to her with the hope that we could work more smoothly in the future. She emailed us the next day that she would no longer work with us, with 3 months left before our wedding.
I would recommend looking elsewhere. We found a new wedding planner after Emily, with a lot more responsiveness, reliability, and professionalism. My stress level finally dropped with the new planner.
We were drawn to Manette Gracie because they offered a few different packages and we were able to find exactly what we needed. While we had initially planned on just a day-of coordinator and dove into the early planning ourselves, we quickly realized we needed more help.
We were fortunate to be paired with Rachel, who immediately jumped in and helped us with everything. She reached out with a gentle email nudge when we were behind schedule, coordinated with all of our Vendors, suggested creative ideas for table cards and seating charts (gracefully handling the feedback of the too-detail-oriented groom), ran the rehearsal, and handled last minute printing and organization. Everything turned out great.
When our wedding day arrived, we took off our watches, left our phones behind, and enjoyed the day, knowing we were in the best of hands. Rachel managed every detail, kept everything running on time, and made sure we (and our friends and family) had nothing to do but enjoy the evening. We’re sure it wasn’t easy, but Rachel handled it all with poised efficiency.
We were told later by many people that ours was the best wedding they had ever attended. I suppose, like “what a beautiful baby”, this is something people feel obligated to say, but whatever truth it may hold, we know we owe the bulk of it to the vendors that did the work, and Rachel was at the heart of all of it. We couldn’t be more pleased with how everything turned out and the work that Rachel put in to make it happen.
We were lucky to collaborate with Emily as our wedding planner, and we would have been lost without her. Emily was deeply involved from very start (scoping out potential venues) to the very end (making sure we had pizza at the after party). Our wedding was a complicated three-day event that took place in Oregon, and Emily made the process fun and unforgettable.
Emily helped us to creatively execute our vision, solve problems and find solutions when we needed alternatives, was patient with us when we changed our minds, went the extra mile to make things happen, coordinated the on-the-ground activities during the wedding weekend, and did this all with so much care.
Among many things, Emily is an expert at making people feel heard, resolving tension, and advocating for the couple with sincerity. If you want to work with someone who plans a wedding with love and heart, you won't regret choosing Emily as your wedding planner!
This review is long overdue but it’s better late than never! Emily is a fantastic wedding planner. She managed to pull off a full wedding (when I say full, I mean with all the vendors - photographer, videographer, florist, baker, venue, friend singer, DJ, officiant) within barely FIVE months last year! She always gave me on-the-point suggestions, as if she already knows how I imagined the wedding to look like. She thought about every single detail that I could have missed. She also made sure I feel heard when I have ideas and made sure they were carried out smoothly. She checks in with me frequently and also makes sure my questions and concerns are answered in a timely manner. I cannot say enough about how pleased my husband and I are of her services. Highly recommend!!
Emily was the glue that made our wedding work - and made all our memories of the day nothing but pure joy and excitement. I had multiple people ask me the day before the wedding what I was anxious about and I responded honestly "literally nothing" and that is completely due to Emily.
We planned a Seattle wedding from San Francisco, and Emily made amazing recommendations for vendors, did a ton of legwork, lent us decor (including dropping it days in advance at our hotel), and also rolled with all of our wacky and non traditional requests (tiki mug favor table, being picky about pies for dessert, last minute changes to late night food menu, adding a coffee pickup, etc.) without a single complaint.
She was very easy to communicate with, and extremely responsive.
Emily, we truly could not have done it without you - thank you for making this special day one full of joy and ease for us. You rock at your job.
I wholeheartedly recommend Emily to anyone looking for a coordinator or planner - we used her full service planning package and I know it not only made things easy for us, it also saved us money. This isn't a sales pitch but hiring a planner was the best choice we made for our wedding - give yourself that gift too!
Details: We had a 55 person wedding at Treehouse Point, planned from out of town, hired Emily about 6-7 months before our wedding day.
Absolutely AMAZING wedding coordinator!! I cannot recommend Manette Gracie enough. I have worked many weddings myself, and Thera and Emily at Manette Gracie are the most incredible wedding coordinators we could ever ask for!!
Thera went above and beyond all our expectations and we are so grateful for everything she did behind the scenes to make our weekend so special. She is attentive, incredibly responsive, and a wealth of knowledge. Thank you so much for everything!!
Don’t shop around because you won’t find anyone better than Emily at Manette Gracie. Struggling with details for your event? Don’t even know where to start? Need advice or direction? Having trouble with any communications? Looking for that good, calm, collected energy in the midst of chaos (which we know exists for all weddings right)? Emily does it all. She has an outstanding rapport with all other vendors in the area which creates seamless communication, schedules, and arrangements. Her organization, easy-going attitude, and good vibes all around make her the one you’ll be seeking to spend a moment with to just regain some grounding when things get stressful. We could not possibly recommend her and her staff enough. We did day-of coordination and wished we did full because she just blew us away and made things happen for us that we wouldn’t have been able to achieve on our own or with anyone else. Choose Emily at Manette Gracie!!!! We guarantee you will not regret it.
Emily was our wedding planner and day-of coordinator for our 9/2021 wedding in the Seattle area for about 30 people. Working with her before and during 2020 was a key reason we were able to go through with it. She narrowed down lots of choices for us, keeping in line with our theme of "Pacific Northwest Bougie in a Forest", and was able to work around our busy schedules and poor email response rate. She helped us postpone the wedding from 2020 to 2021 and find a caterer when a previous candidate folded and a florist with great style who could work with little input from us. Day of, everything from the ceremony to food and cake cutting to dancing went perfect, and the style was lovely and in line with both our theme as well as what she shows on social media. She even suggested cute stuff like a polaroid "guestbook", and made sure to get details right, like the groom's love of galettes. We'd highly recommend her to anyone wanting to get married in the Seattle area.
Emily is simply the best. Neither my husband or I are big planners, so going into wedding planning Emily was the first vendor we signed with. She connected us with all our other vendors for the wedding and they turned out to be amazing as well.
We had originally planned our wedding for July 2020 and had to postpone to July 2021 due to COVID. Emily helped us navigate the trickiness around postponing and managed all communication and logistics with our vendors so we didn't have to - that was such a relief during such a stressful time for us! We ended up eloping to San Juan islands on our original date, and Emily was amazing with giving us more vendor recommendations, guidance and suggestions. When we started planning again for the July 2021 wedding, Emily stayed up to date with the state restrictions and event guidelines and kept us updated on what we could and couldn't do. That was so helpful during such an uncertain time.
Finally, leading up to the day of, we were in constant communication with Emily - she asked all the right questions (questions we wouldn't have even thought about!) and made sure all the details were exactly what we wanted. Two days before the wedding, our plans for some of our decor fell through, and Emily was so quick to respond and come up with a perfect solution for us.
On the day of the wedding, I didn't have to stress or sweat one bit - Emily was on top of it and my husband and I knew where we had to be and what we had to do at all times because Emily would let us know. She scheduled the day perfectly - we had a moment to ourselves during the cocktail hour (which gave us a chance to eat our apps!), everything flowed perfectly, and everyone had a blast. The day far exceeded my expectations and I am so happy with how perfectly it turned out. At the end of the night, Emily packed everything up for us and my husband and I were able to walk out of the venue without having to lift one finger. The next day I found out that she had packed my bouquet for me - a detail I didn't think about but am so glad Emily did because now I'll have my bouquet forever.
I just can't say enough great things about Emily and I am so grateful we found her for our wedding. Our wedding would not have been the same without Emily - thank you so much, Emily!!!
We initially didn’t think we needed a day-of coordinator, but we ended up hiring Emily because we quickly realized we were in over our heads – and she ended up being the single best investment for our wedding. From our first meeting, she went above and beyond to ensure that our wedding day was perfect. She attended our venue and catering meetings and brought up questions/ideas that we never would’ve thought of. When we had to reschedule, cancel, and un-cancel our wedding due to COVID-19, she remained flexible and incredibly reliable even with the drastic changes to our plans. On the wedding day, she knew the venue layout and schedule better than we did! She lent us décor items, helped us with set-up and tear down, and even went out of her way to return some items to our florist at the end of the night. We were able to fully enjoy our wedding day because we knew Emily would make sure everything flowed smoothly. We will forever refer our engaged friends and family to Emily for wedding planning/DOC services!
Emily officiated our Mount Rainier Elopement. Despite only talking on the phone to her twice, she did an incredible job weaving our backstory into the ceremony. Prior to the actual event, we shared details with Emily about our relationship which she then used to write the ceremony and allowed us to review the script beforehand which I really appreciated! Emily did an incredible job of filling the ceremony with emotion and familiarity, she really has a way with words. Additionally, she was up for a long hike to the ceremony location which was a great bonus. She also took care of the paperwork after the ceremony which was convenient for us since we are from outside of Washington. We can't recommend Emily enough, she made the most important part of the day incredibly special.
Emily was such a pleasure to work with!! We hired her as our day-of-coordinator when our first venue, the Monte Cristo Ballroom closed 7 months before our wedding. It was an extremely stressful time and we were fortunate to have found Emily who offered a substantial discount for Monte Cristo couples and free rentals for her gold plate chargers and cake stand. We met at our second venue, the Inglewood Golf Club for our planning session. She was very organized and experienced. Emily brought up questions and options that we haven't considered before. We were set with our wedding until the pandemic hit. Saddened that we had to cancel our big wedding, we decided to move forward on our original wedding date, May 23, 2020 and celebrated with an intimate ceremony at home.
A couple of months later, we asked Emily if she would like to help us with our bridal and groom photo session, which she was excited be a part of. Emily coordinated pick up and returns at Grand Event Rentals as well as provided gold chargers and votive candles for our sweet heart table. She gave us many options and location ideas. During the week of our photo session at Lakewold Gardens, the forecast predicted a high chance of rain on the day when we were scheduled to take pictures. Emily was super responsive and understanding of the last minute change! Grand Event Rentals did not open Sundays and she organized pick up on Friday and returns on Monday with no extra charge. The photo session went very smoothly with her help setting up and breaking down the sweet heart table and items. With so many changes to our wedding plans this year, we can't thank Emily enough for her patience and dedication during these challenging times!
For background, my husband and I planned our wedding in two and a half months. Crazy we know, but we pulled it off! When our chosen location told us we must have a planner, we were a bit disappointed to spend money on an area we’re both very confident in, when it comes to organizing. However, hiring someone ended up being a decision with zero regrets.
We can’t say enough great things about Emily with Manette Gracie and her “day of” services. From our initial phone conversation, we knew before ending the call, she understood our vision, or lack there of, and asked many questions we hadn’t yet considered. She got us, and we just knew she was who we wanted to partner with. This continued throughout the process. She was quick to respond to our many questions via email, and we scheduled a few calls, to insure we were on track for our quick wedding.
What we appreciated the most was:
1. Her ability to offer personal touches throughout the day. We were on a tight budget and she offered many ideas we could accept or reject, but most were reasonable and we ran with it.
2. Great vendor recommendations including cake, bride’s hair and makeup, and DJ recommendations. Once we had our vendors locked in, she managed the process from there.
3. Stayed on schedule, the day went as planned, we were on time, and all the things we expected to happen did.
4. Extra Supplies - she has a number of items we were able to use to reduce costs, such as lanterns used at our outdoor venue, a ring holder for the ceremony, signage, vases, name placeholders for the table at our rehearsal dinner and the wedding reception, and many more I’m sure we weren’t aware of.
I’m sure there are so many other small details that went on behind the scenes we weren’t aware of. She was great, would highly recommend her to anyone. She’s easy to work with and keeps track of all the little details keeping you on track to make your day special.
We now know we couldn’t have pulled this off without her. Thanks Emily!
Emily is absolutely fantastic!! There are a ton of reviews ranting and raving about how she is the greatest, and here comes another.
I hired Emily as my Day-Of Coordinator, and she did an absolutely fantastic job. She is insanely organized, and will ask you so many questions you've never even thought about during the planning process. She took note of everything, and would offer suggestions or assistance if we struggled with any part of the planning process. Cake baker dropped out? No problem, she provided us with two more recommendations. Don't know what to do for table numbers? She has a supply of items that you can use for your wedding, and she was able to lend us table numbers (very pretty wood-cut ones) that perfectly matched our theme and looked so good on our tables! She coordinated with all of our vendors, created a timeline for the day-of, scheduled meetings with and stayed on top of our venue to ensure that the day was going to run very smoothly. It was so reassuring to have her in our corner - any time we had a question, she was just an email or text away, and she was always quick to respond.
The day before she walked us through the entire ceremony, providing everyone in the wedding with a printed timeline of where they needed to be and when. She walked everyone through the actual ceremony, of who walks in when, from where, at what pace, and where people are supposed to stand. Every little detail was accounted for, and honestly I wasn't even nervous the day before the wedding, because I knew Emily was on top of it.
The day of was a dream, and went so smoothly! Emily coordinated everyone, and I had no responsibilities. She ensured our cake delivery, the timing of when the florist would arrive and drop off bouquets and boutonnieres. She set up our DIY photo booth, card box, and guest book signing table, which looked absolutely beautiful! She ensured that we were running on schedule, checking in with us every so often to see if we needed anything. She had appetizers and champagne waiting in our room for us right after the ceremony, which was lovely, because we were starving and got to take a few minutes to actually take in the fact that we were MARRIED before getting to return to cocktail hour and enjoy our guests. She even had wedding cake delivered to our room after the reception ended, in case we wanted to enjoy some that night.
Honestly my wedding day was perfect. Everything ran on schedule, nothing went off the rails. I give Emily the credit for it because she was so well prepared going into the big day. We knew everything we needed to beforehand, and she had clearly communicated everything our vendors needed to know to them, because everything ran so smoothly! Hiring Emily was one of the smartest decisions I made when planning my wedding, and I would 100% recommend her to anyone thinking about using her for planning services. She is worth it!!!
Emily was worth her weight in gold (and then some more) on our wedding day. She was always ready to roll up her sleeves and jump in, headed off vendor questions with ease, and kept the general set up and last minute details from ever reaching my plate. She had suggestions and ideas for us when we were at a loss, an amazing lending library of wedding decor we would have otherwise had to purchase, and the community connections and know how to get things done. As soon as we hired her (late in the game!) she took tons of work off my plate. Would highly recommend Emily and Manette Gracie for anyone needing a coordinator of any sort!
Having Emily as our coordinator was key to the success of our wedding day! I wanted to keep the planning and event itself chill but classy, and I hired her as a day-of-coordinator but she was way more than that. She provided vendor recommendations that were spot-on in terms of pricing and style (she’ll pick up on your style based on your pinterest/pictures). She was a sounding board I emailed randomly throughout the process and who responded in a timely manner with recommendations and ideas, which included links to items to purchase online or photos of things from her own inventory. Also appreciated how she took charge during the rehearsal while still allowing the relaxed approach we were all taking with it. Hire her early in the process and save yourself hours of overwhelming research. Having her in your corner allows you to do what you’re ultimately supposed to do: enjoy your wedding day!
Hiring Emily from Manette Gracie was one of the best decisions I made during the wedding planning process. She helped put together a seamless day-of timeline, made sure all the vendors were filled in on the details of the wedding day, and even let us use her decor items. She was always quick to respond to questions or concerns and helped set up the venue space beautifully. I would definitely recommend her to future newlywed couples!
Emily, she is incredible! I feel extremely fortunate to have found her. If you didn’t already know wedding planning can be stressful and hearing back from vendors and staying organized can be frustrating. About a month before our wedding I reached out for a day-of coordinator, but let me tell you Emily did so much more than that. She is extremely organized and was so helpful! She responds to emails promptly and communicates with your vendors for you. So instead of you reaching out to every single person and making notes of all the details you’ve made, she does that for you and adds you to a google doc so that you can see everything that is being done. As well as CCs you in the emails so you stay in the loop.
She ran our wedding rehearsal flawlessly. She directed everyone respectfully and made sure everyone felt comfortable with where they were going and being seated. On our wedding day I was not stressed at all! Not even for a second. Emily had everything running so smoothly I didn’t notice a single hiccup in the day. She truly stitched together all the ideas I envisioned for our wedding and made it a reality.
I also want to mention that there is a follow up after the wedding which was extremely helpful. She helped me go over my BEOs and even assisted me in getting some things refunded that we found we were wrongfully charged for. Highly HIGHLY recommend EMILY, I can’t recommend her enough!
After getting engaged I knew I needed to find a wedding planner as a first step after picking our venue. I spoke to 6 different Seattle wedding planners and Emily with Manette Gracie was the only one I felt a connection to right away over the phone. She was supportive, calm and down to earth allowing me to feel super comfortable with her right away. Emily helped us pull off the wedding of our dreams @Fremont Foundry from coordinating unique additions to our event such as a memory table and gelato truck. She understood some of our unique choices such as no bridal party or traditional wedding music, making us feel confident in our decisions. On the day of, her and her assistant made sure everything went as smoothly as possible. I especially loved how they made sure we had our take home items organized for us the moment we wanted to leave. While we won't be getting married again, we would use her in a heartbeat if we did :) We suggest her to any couple looking for the perfect planner for their special day.
Highest recommendations to Emily and the Manette Gracie team! Emily went above and beyond expectations as a day of coordinator, and I had so much fun at my wedding!
When I first met Emily, the thing that I noticed that set her apart was that she really listened to what I was hoping to achieve for my wedding. Other coordinators I met seemed to have their own agenda, and ideas on how they could "Pinterest" everything. Not my style.
Emily is always so positive, proactive, and calm under pressure. She has an amazing way of communicating with moms, vendors, groomsmen, that gets things done and removes conflict and stress from the equation - incredible!
Design and aesthetic: Emily helped to achieve the perfect balance of simple elegance from invitations to lighting by introducing me to amazing vendors, and adding some genius touches like her own hand-calligraphy on name tags, and petal confetti cups made from music paper.
On the day of the wedding - Emily was incredibly professional. She brought an assistant to help keep us on schedule, and I truly never wanted the day to end. She managed hurdles proactively, and made the day feel effortless to me and to my guests. Emily is remarkable, and I cannot recommend her more highly!
Emily was a lifesaver for us. We hired her as a day-of coordinator, but she was extremely helpful the entire 6 months leading up to the day. She paid for herself with the discounts and supplies she provides, not even mentioning the hours of planning and stress that she saves you. At the site visit, we just had to watch while she nailed down our dream ceremony and reception with the venue and caterer. Her temperament is perfect: detail-oriented but not obsessed (i.e. flexible and a quick problem solver), enthusiastic about making the day what you want but not gushing over it. I never saw her angry or stressed, even when I made her try to find an unmarked cabin in the poorly mapped woods. But maybe that's getting off track, the point is our day went absolutely perfectly from start to finish and it couldn't have happened without Emily.
My husband and I are so glad we decided to go with our day of coordinator for our wedding. It’s essential if you want to fully enjoy your big day!! Our wedding was amazing and went so smoothly, and better than we could have hoped for! Emily was so awesome, she literally handled all the details on the wedding day, decorated, and coordinated with all my vendors, that way my husband and I could just enjoy our big day! She even coordinated the rehearsal so our whole wedding party was on the same page. You could tell she is very experienced, and when I asked her questions throughout the planning process she had such great suggestions on so many aspects of our wedding that I would not have thought of. She was super quick with responses during the planning process. My family also kept mentioning how smooth the whole day was going and how beautiful everything looked! We are so thankful for her and our day honestly would not have been as awesome without her there!! Thank you so much!! I will recommend her to anyone I know who is getting married!
The single best decision we made during our nearly two years of wedding planning (!) was hiring Emily to plan and coordinate our day.
We live on the East Coast and all of our planning was done via phone and email. Emily is a superb communicator: whenever we spoke on the phone, she would follow up with an email recapping whatever we had discussed and including relevant photos, links, and recommendations. Whenever I emailed her, she got back to me right away! We had a family emergency about a month before the wedding and I don't know what I would have done without Emily .
One thing I didn't fully realize before planning a wedding is the importance of inter-industry knowledge. Example: Food was a big priority for us, and our venue had twelve caterers to choose from. Enter Emily, who decisively picked the two she thought would be most "us," and arranged tastings for when we came back for a planning weekend. (Spoiler alert: the food was amazing!!). Emily has years of experience working with different vendors and can recommend them based on both quality AND service. Every single vendor that she recommended (caterer, photographer, florist, DJ, rentals, photobooth, transportation) knocked it out of the park.
In addition to her extensive vendor knowledge, Emily is also an incredible designer. We told her at the beginning of our process that we wanted our wedding to feature various "travel" elements. Emily came up with so many creative, unique ideas: globes as centerpieces with atlas pages making up paper runners; for the guestbook, vintage postcards to sign; and perhaps my favorite - inflatable "beach-ball" globes that her crew tossed onto the dance floor during our dance party. She also has quite the cache of beautiful decor (candles, table-top decorations, cake stands, lights, etc) - much of which she generously lent us for our reception.
Whenever we presented Emily with an idea, she listened carefully and built the idea into our wedding, often respectfully suggesting ways to make it even better and more enjoyable for our guests. Example: we wanted some kind of late-night snack on the dance floor for our guests - Emily suggested burgers from Dick's Drive In, which her assistant went to pick up and then delivered fresh to our guests as they danced. Locals were thrilled because they knew how good Dick's burgers are; out-of-towners couldn't get over the novelty of surprise cheeseburgers .
Emily's day-of coordination skills are seriously amazing. She orchestrated our rehearsal and wedding seamlessly and there were so many things that I didn't even think of because she was there. Example: I learned the next day that one of our guests had brought her two children with her, despite RSVPing no. I never even knew about it because Emily found a table for them and there were no issues. Similarly, she dealt perfectly with a random guy who wandered off the streets and into our reception. (We felt pretty cool that our wedding merited a crasher!) Our family and friends were spared so much day-of labor because of all the work that Emily and her team put it at the venue. Our parents, who initially didn't understand why we had hired a planner, couldn't stop singing Emily's praises.
I could go on and on and on - but let me just say this: Emily is a kind, talented, intelligent professional who understands how weddings work. She is the person you want in your corner, and I could not recommend her and Manette Gracie more highly.
The Manette Gracie team – and specifically Rachel Elder – helped us pull off the most incredible day of our lives! When I first met with Rachel, I knew she would not only bring organization and creative ideas to the table, but that she would also bring a level of calmness to the entire wedding planning process. I hired MG to help me with day-of coordination, but Rachel had no problem meeting with me in person about 3x ahead of the wedding, jumping on the phone, or emailing back-and-forth – totally going above and beyond. The team was also willing to travel to our wedding location in Lake Chelan (~3 hours from Seattle) and stay overnight for 3 nights (our rehearsal was on Thursday and the wedding was on Saturday) with a very reasonable travel cost to cover their lodging. As an added bonus, all couples that work with Manette Gracie have the option to use décor items that they have on hand for free or a very nominal charge – we rented 160+ gold charges from them and it was ½ the cost of going through a normal rental company. On the wedding day, Rachel and her assistant Alyssa helped execute every detail flawlessly. They collaborated with our 10+ vendors with poise and professionalism, and were instrumental in modifying décor placements when we were surprised with 20+ mph winds during the ceremony. I barely even noticed them busily working away, which allowed myself, our wedding party and our family to truly be in the moment and enjoy the wedding day. We can’t recommend Rachel and the MG team enough!
I cannot say amazing enough things about Emily from Manette Gracie. Booking her was, as many have already said, the smartest decision of our wedding. She was with us every step of the way, extremely generous with her time and very available by phone, email, and for in-person meetings. She had extremely helpful tips and connections that helped us save money and helped our wedding day run extremely smoothly. Our parents and wedding party were so impressed with Emily and loved working with her. I can't recommend her highly enough!!
We were beyond pleased with the services Manette Gracie Events provided for our wedding. Emily answered a million questions and offered much needed advice and referrals leading up to the big day. She even let us borrow decorative and functional items at no extra charge. And Jasmine and Rachel, our day-of coordinators, were friendly and professional. Emily and her staff put us at ease with their expertise and helped make our wedding a success.
Emily is amazing! She was so generous with her time and her arsenal of decorations. 😀
Cannot recommend her highly enough!!
Emily provided us with tremendous professionalism and peace of mind! She communicated well, had great pricing and was willing to be flexible with her tiers of service based on what I wanted out of a wedding coordinator. She was positive and cheerful, an excellent listener, and her execution was spot-on with my vision. While there were some vendors whose commitment to my style and vision were concerning at times, I never once doubted Emily. She did an excellent job assuring me and relieving my stress, and her work was high-quality. I had requested her services after I had chosen most of my vendors, but she offers vendor discounts if you need help with deciding those as well. As for wedding-day decorations, there are many items she provides for free or cheap if you go with her services. You cannot go wrong with Emily.
Throughout our wedding planning process, all my family and friends kept telling me that I was the calmest bride ever and they were waiting for me to have a meltdown. A few weeks before the wedding, I think my inner circle was preparing for the epic bridezilla moment, and then the days before and finally the day of, but it never came, and I firmly believe it is because I had absolutely nothing to worry about. Amber Sooter was an absolute dream to work with and everything you would want in a planner... she has excellent communication skills, is meticulous in the best possible way and was readily available to talk via phone, text or email if you needed a question answered, wanted advice or an opinion or had some vendor correspondence you wanted her to handle. Amber is thorough, and makes it clear that she is there to help make your big day into the dream you always envisioned.
My husband and I were very pleased with the package we chose, and even happier that we hired Amber to coordinate the best day of our lives.
If you want someone who is always on your side, experienced and well known with many local vendors and in our opinion, simply the best coordinator out there, than you can't not hire Amber!
Manette Gracie (and specifically Rachel) helped make my wedding day seamless and beautiful! I had specific visions for certain things and couldn't care less about some others - but no matter what it was, Rachel nailed it. She was patient with all of my questions, followed up on all the little details, and gave wonderful recommendations for vendors I hadn't booked yet. I only hired her for day-of coordinating, but was in contact with her months before to keep her in the loop about everything. She had no problem following my lead, and I trusted her to execute my vision and fill in the blanks when needed. She is also such a lovely person and was so fun and easy to work with. I definitely recommend Manette Gracie!
I don't even know where to begin! Emily and her team are phenomenal! They made my life as a DIY bride much easier, executing my vision flawlessly and even improving it. Emily is more than a "day-of coordinator"; she's a rock star angel in disguise. Emily is professional, encouraging, and truly an expert at what she does. She has great suggestions and awesome connections to help you stay within budget. We couldn't have done it without them! Suffering from sticker shock? Do yourself a favor and hire her now; she pays for herself tenfold. Thank you, Emily and Manette Gracie Events!
I truly didn't think I needed a wedding planner, however I did want day of coordination. I found Emily through the recommendation of my photographer. After hiring Emily, she proved why she is so needed!
She helped with vendor coordination, day of set up, decorations, wedding checklists and planning, and keeping everyone calm. I can't say enough about how helpful, patient, and kind Emily is.
I have recommended her to all my friends!
I really didn't think I needed a wedding planner. I was determined to do things on my own and was terrified that a wedding planner would be uptight and would add to my stress rather than detracting from it. I could not have been more wrong. A few months prior to the wedding I started to freak out and realized that I really did need to extra bit of help.
Emily was calm, organized and kind. She got my vision, had ideas to help make it come together, and was the go-to person on the big day so that I didn't have to stress about it. You may not think you need a wedding planner, but you do. You really, really do. Get Emily. She'll make your day about enjoying yourself rather than stressing out and answering ten million questions.
I loved working with Emily from Manette Gracie! She is thorough, professional and so fun to be around. This is the 2nd wedding I attended that she worked at and all I can say is that I would highly recommend her. Everything ran so smoothly with her around. If you need a wonderful day-of coordinator I would chose Manette Gracie.
I just want to say that we could not have pulled the final details of the wedding together without the help of the Manette Gracie team. I interfaced mainly with Lauren and she was absolutely wonderful. She displayed such a calm, upbeat and accommodating demeanor that it totally calmed my mother-of-the bride worries. No request seemed to phase her and I felt assured that everything was going to be taken care of in time. She was just lovely to work with. The two assistants were also right on task the whole time and I know they both worked very hard to take care of the many last minute details. Thank you to them as well.
We had large families on both sides and they were all very experienced and willing helpers, so there was some deliberation as to whether we needed coordinators. However, after it was all over we were so thankful we hired your company to help us. It meant that we did not have relatives running around and stressing over details at the ceremony and reception. We could all relax, enjoy each other's company and the beautiful family event that we shared together. I received many compliments and comments of appreciation for your staff and I wholeheartedly add mine as well. Thank you for everything that you did to make the day a wonderful one for us.
Sincerely,
VV

We hired Emily with Manette Gracie as a day-of coordinator for our wedding last weekend. It was probably one of the best decisions we made.
Emily was professional, sweet, and wonderful in every way. Not only she understood my vision, she was always there to remind me things I haven't thought of, and did above and beyond what I expected. She made me a very happy bride without any freakout moments on my wedding day.
Thank you Emily!
I worked with Emily for my wedding in August. Not only did she have plenty of contacts in the "wedding business", but she was able to get me plenty of discounts that helped keep us in budget. Emily also helped the actual day go very smoothly, I didn't have to worry about a thing! She brought her own little personal touches to create the feel that I was going for. I would highly recommend her services to any bride/groom.
I cannot say enough good things about Lauren and the crew at Manette Gracie. Many months before our wedding, Lauren met with us, listened to us ramble on about our ideas and eventually helped us execute our dream wedding - never without a smile! If anything didn't go as planned (which, unfortunately, will happen) Lauren made sure I never had to worry about a thing! If you are considering a wedding planner or day-of coordinator, stop your search here - Manette Gracie is the way to go!
Emily with Manette Gracie is the most amazing person in the world. I honestly don't think our wedding would have come together the way it did without her. The cost is reasonable and the service is excellent. Emily was great, even though we are a couple living on the east coast with crazy schedules! I can't recommend her highly enough. Hire her.
My day of wedding coordinator, Lauren was my savor! I seriously love her :) She made my day go so smoothly. She was always prompt with any appts we had. She was always smiling and helpful. I didn't have to think and she just knew what to do, so nice! My husband and I are so happy that we hired Lauren to be there for us on our biggest day of our life. I can go on on about how amazing Lauren is, but I'll just keep it short and simple.
Lauren Guy is a god send! :)
If I could give 10 stars, I would! I cannot say enough wonderful things about Manette Gracie Events. They provided such helpful guidance, vendor suggestions, and technical support in the months leading up to our wedding and made sure everything ran so smoothly on the big day. They provided some great decor and vendor suggestions and are so pleasant to work with. Love the ladies at M.G.E.!
I did not think I had it in my budget to have a wedding planner. I found a deal with Manette Gracie and we made room for it in our budget. I could not have been happier. Knowing what I know now, I would have left out the cake, the DJ, the food, etc. just to have Lauren there on our big day. She was so sweet and always checked in to make sure everything was going smoothly, regardless of the fact that we only needed a day-of-coordinator. I truly believed that I could (and that I wanted) to take care of everything myself, but Lauren took care of everything that day! She was so patient and fun! If she was ever frustrated...I never knew and neither did anyone else! I had no idea that everything did not go perfectly behind the scenes of the wedding because Lauren kept everything so organized and pleasant seeming! Everything went so perfectly o our big day and I know I owe that to Manette Gracie! Make sure you search Craigslist first before contacting them to see if they are offering any deals :)
Emily was amazing! We hired her as a day-of coordinator but realized we needed a little extra in the months leading up to the wedding. For not much extra, Emily became my sounding-board, helping me stay organized and (more importantly) sane.
We interviewed Emily first, and I'm not sure why we interviewed other coordinators because we knew she was perfect. And she was.
Emily exudes calm and control. Because of her demeanor, it was easy for me (a true control-freak) to let go and let her take care of everything on the wedding day.
Her price was very reasonable and the discounts she was able to secure for us with other vendors was incredibly valuable (in fact the discounts we received just from rentals vendors was more than we paid to hire her!).
Meet Emily. Interview her. Hire her. She's great!
Lauren Guy saved the day. Not that anything was wrong with the day, just that I didn't think about our logistics and tiny details, not once not even for a second, throughout our entire reception even though I planned and planned and panicked for the better part of a year... it was DIY to the core.
Lauren coordinated over a dozen vendors, including a shuttle that ran all night to various locations, and my big crazy Indian family. All the while, she made sure the music never stopped even though my laptop fell asleep every 15 minutes or so regardless of the settings.
Every couple I've spoken with said they didn't get to eat at their wedding. We ate a ton. In between everything, she magically appeared in front of us with a smile and offered to bring us food and drinks. We ate and drank all night and had the best time ever.
Even though I did the planning, she and Emily sent us ideas throughout the year, and they were so thoughtful about it. Instead of "can't you stretch your budget to have a photographer?" it was "Here are fun things you can do to work around it." The moment that I couldn't handle any more ideas, the suggestions magically stopped.
Seriously... magic.
Hire them. Even if you think you have everything under control, even if you've planned a million events.
Emily @ Manette Gracie Events was so great to work with and did an amazing job for us on our special day!! I highly recommend her if you are looking for a full wedding planner or just a day of!
I don't know where to begin to describe what a pleasure it was to work with Emily. I booked her about a year ago as a day of coordinator with assistance with prior planning. We exchanged many e-mails over the last year and she has been a fabulous resource. She is creative and has had an answer or solution to all of my crazy bridal ideas.
During the rehearsal, Emily was fabulous at wrangling all my family and getting them to line up and do as their told! It was crazy with such a large wedding party but she helped us run through everything twice so I was more than confident the day of would run smoothly.
The day of Emily was such a huge help. If for nothing else, at the very least HIRE HER AS A DOC! She was running around making sure all the last details were buttoned up and everything looked fabulous. She coordinated with all the vendors during their set up and I didn't have to do a thing. Even with our ceremony starting 20 minutes late (which we expected), Emily had created a flawless timeline that we ran AHEAD of schedule the rest of the day and my photographer was able to capture every important moment without running our of time. Emily was amazing at the end of the night helping to pick up and pack up and making sure everything went home with the right person. She even stayed to help clean up and was the last to leave well after my husband and I had departed the venue. I am sure she did so much more that day that I am unaware of but that's because I was so relaxed and was confident as she made the day run perfect!
I had Emily Murphy as my planner, who was also my stepbrother's planner. We both loved her. She was very helpful about any and all questions I had on vendors. The day of, she really stepped it up and took charge, letting my family and I be able to just lay back and relax.
I started planning my wedding two years in advance, thinking that would allow me enough time to put all the details together. About two months before the big day, I realized that I would have to clone myself to get everything done on the day of the event. That's when I discovered Manette Gracie, and in reality, Emily is better than a clone. She was professional and paid attention to detail from the very beginning. Her demeanor is instantly comforting and relaxing. I realized right away that she would probably handle the day-of organization even better than I, because she didn't have the baggage I had of two years of dealing with wedding specs! Emily was easy to get in touch with and always responded promptly. Every detail on the wedding day was attended to, and I never worried once. She even rolled with some last-minute changes. She was open to suggestion, offered her own, and never tried to push her own agenda. I wish I would have had the confidence to hire her earlier to help me plan! This was the single-best decision I made (second to deciding to say "yes," of course).
