Marea Weddings & Events services both local and destination events from our local Atlanta offices. We create refined, thoughtful environments for our couples, and their guests. Ensuring our couples’ stories are conveyed through meaningful design. We consider all possibilities aesthetics and logistical matters, so that you feel comfortable, inspired, and relaxed.
Our goal is to provide support, confidence and guidance through each and every decision. We have grown by word-of-mouth through the help of our clients and vendors in the industry. While every Marea event is different we always have the same goal for each to feel: timeless, creative, unique, fun and inviting!
With over 8 years planning, designing, and executing weddings, golf tournaments, Mitzvahs, Quincereas, holiday parties, and corporate events, it was time to take the plunge and go into the ultimate business of ourselves. We are committed to providing a beautiful and stress-free experience. We pride ourselves on our classic styles with a unique twist, attention to detail and calming presence.
‘Marea’ translates into ‘tide’ in Italian. With ties to the low-country, coast and honestly who doesn’t feel better immediately when they’re by the water? It was a way to have a unique name with classic ties which is exactly what we strive for.
There are all different styles, and we love all of them, and are happy to bring your vision to life. Emily Goldstein, owner and lead coordinator, has established relationships with the best vendors, and we will work closely with them to orchestrate all logistical elements throughout the entire planning process.
There are always moving parts and high emotions throughout the process, and we greatly value our unique relationships we have with all our clients. We will customize our process to you and your event, because there is no formula to event planning and design. We always want your event to represent you!

Emily was absolutely phenomenal as our wedding planner! From the moment we started working with her, she brought so much organization and creativity to the process. She listened to our vision and went above and beyond to make it a reality, handling every detail with care and professionalism.
On the weekend of our wedding, Emily was a true lifesaver. Everything ran so smoothly, and we were able to fully enjoy the day without worrying about a single thing. Her attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and warm personality made her an invaluable part of our celebration.
We can’t recommend Emily highly enough! She made our wedding day perfect, and we’re so grateful to have had her by our side!
As a vendor we work with a ton of planners, but Marea Weddings and Events is one that really stands out above all the rest. Emily was top notch the whole time in planning our wedding at the Golf Club of Georgia. She was recommended by them, and we immediately saw why - she is so detail oriented while not making you feel overwhelmed with decisions to be made, and she helps guide you with recommendations on what is really important for your big day. She put not just me and my fiancé at ease, but also my parents after their first meeting (and that means a lot in the stress of planning a wedding!). She truly was a trusted partner throughout the whole process and even on the day of was wonderful to have by my side waiting to walk down the aisle. I can't recommend Emily and Marea Events enough - she will take care of you and help make sure your day goes off without a hitch, your guests will have a great time, and you will be able to look back so fondly on your big day. We worked with Emily from Marea Events for over a year to plan our wedding. She was with us every step of the way. Emily provided us with fantastic recommendations for vendors she knew we would gel with. She was flexible and pivoted when we needed to make changes. Moreover, she attended several vendor meetings and walkthroughs to help us nail down all of the important details. Having Emily on our team made us feel confident that our wedding weekend was going to be a success. On the day of our event, she was on top of everything and ensured it all went smoothly. We got so many compliments from those in our bridal party who interacted with Emily that she was just so on top of it. We would definitely recommend Emily to anyone!!
Emily did a great job as our month of planner. We got married at TPC Sugarloaf and she was very familiar with the venue and event staff which was a huge help. She helped with the small details, touched base with all the vendors, and made sure we had nothing to worry about at the end of the night. She was always patient and kind despite whatever issues arose.

Our top goals were to have fun, keep our stress levels as low as possible, and enjoy the wedding planning process and our wedding day. Where to even start? We hired Emily for month-of-coordination for our wedding. She went above and beyond what I had imagined a month-of-coordinator would do. Working with Emily is like working alongside a close friend and honestly I’m sad it’s over! She always made us feel at ease and is so kind and thorough. From our planning meetings, scheduling walk throughs with vendors, suggesting rental companies for a possible last minute tent due to rain, to returning a few forgotten items left at the venue there is nothing she did not think of or do for us. Hiring Emily is one of the best decisions you could make for your wedding.
Emily is more than a planner, she becomes a key component of your world and even after she becomes family. Not only does she help find everyone to make your day special, she truly listens to what you want and will fight for you to make your dream come true. I truly watched as my perfect day became a reality, and it was all due to Emily! I was able to relax and enjoy my day with my husband thanks to her. I didn't have to deal with drama or worry about who,what,when,where,or why things were or weren't happening. My mom and I were blown away by her agenda alone with all the coordination and timing of the event. It was perfect and so was she. l 100% will use her for other parties and will honestly tell you she is worth every penny!
All I can say is “Thank god for Emily.” Emily was recommended to us by another event planner I inquired about but wasn’t available for our date. Boy am I so thankful things worked out the way they did because she was 10/10 the best investment we made for our wedding. My husband and I got married at the Wolf Mountain Vineyard. Although the venue does not allow outside coordinators, they made an exception because they knew Emily prior to this and knew how amazing she was. Although she didn’t have to she went above and beyond to make our day flawless and perfect. From the beginning she was never too pushy, always offering her advice when I needed it, asking me if I needed help and coming to all of my in-person vendor meetings at the drop of a hat. She took my vision and listened to me. I think that was what I admired most. She listened intently to my wants and needs and never faltered. The process up until wedding day was stressless and smooth and I was wondering when the stress was going to hit me…but that was the thing…it never did. I knew I was in good hands. The day of the wedding she was 100% on it and was there any second I needed her. She kept in touch with my bridesmaids, our groomsman, my mom and dad and every vendor in between. I never felt like there was going to be a ball dropped or like something was going to go wrong. I keep getting compliment after compliment from my other vendors about how calming of a presence she has and how she was just such a pleasure to work with. Not only was Emily an amazing coordinator but she was an even better friend to me and my husband James. She just fit our vibe and we adore her still even after the day has ended. Okay Okay, I will stop there…but don’t think.. just book her and thank me later. :)
Emily and her team made our wedding planning and day of enjoyable and stress-free. The team was accountable, informative and fun to be around!
Marea Events day of coordination is so much more- calls, texts and emails, 2 meetings before, rehearsal coordination, ceremony coordination, timing of reception, checking in on you during the reception and even coordinating the get away Uber.
We are so thankful for Emily and her team's help in making our wedding day so special. We would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for planning help- her insight and advice alone is worth it!

We had the most amazing experience with Emily coordinating our wedding. It was completely stress free as well as relaxing to have someone with her knowledge and event coordinating skills. Emily at Marea is amazing! Not only is she a wonderful friend but an amazing coordinator! She helped me to make a decision on whether or not I should have my wedding in October due to covid. Emily, at Marea Weddings is absolutely fantastic and a dream to work with when planning any event for any occasion. She did my baby shower for my first baby and it was absolutely beautiful, every detail was thought out and planned so I didn’t have to think about anything.
