is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Whenever my wife and I didn’t know where to find a certain vendor they had a variety of options. And using someone that they’re familiar with and that is familiar with the space was a relief. The day of our wedding it poured rain right before and after the ceremony, and Kathleen and the staff worked so hard to dry off seats and make the ceremony happen no matter what. The bar package they have is second to none and getting to make our own specialty drink was a fun touch. We truly can’t thank them enough :)

gy used to build floor plans ensured we had everything we needed to accommodate our guests and other vendors. The venue was also accommodating in letting us remove / use their existing furniture. There is an on-site bridal suite and groom suite which allowed our wedding party to get ready at the venue. We did the full bar package so our guests were able to order like they were at a normal bar which is rare for other wedding venues (the bar staff was excellent!). Another highlight was that we were able to use the venues stage covers to turn the pool into a perfect stage for our band. Overall we had a great experience and would recommend this venue!

The bridal suite was spacious and included a massage chair, modern bathroom, tons of natural light and a wet bar. We had our first look photos on the balcony and the park across the street made for the most perfect photos with wedding party and family. When the sun went down the twinkle lights came on and we danced the night away. I couldn't be happier with everything about Margaret Place!

Margaret Place is absolutely stunning. Everything from the floors, walls, beautiful chandeliers, colors & decor, and the courtyard just make you feel like you are in a magical place. You can see how much attention to every detail was made to make this place the stunner it is. It has the perfect New Orleans charm that we were looking for. We wanted something spacious for our guests, yet intimate as well. All of our guests were amazed at how beautiful the venue was and talked about how perfect a fit it was for my husband and I. Everyone had the best night together!

Laurel was super responsive all throughout the wedding planning process and made sure to keep me on top of everything, including setting up a google drive to house all of the important wedding documents and contracts. The owner, Trent, was kind enough to even film our ceremony when he saw that we didn't hire a videographer. This meant the absolute world to us. He also gave my husband a whiskey glass that has an iconic New Orleans water meter etched into the bottom of it. Two extremely thoughtful things to do. I can't even put into words how nice it was to have the bridal and groom suite all day, as it made getting ready so much easier. I could go on and on about Margaret Place and how perfect it was for my special day. If you're looking for that New Orleans, boho yet modern vibe, Margaret Place is the venue for you. I PROMISE you won't regret it!!!

bt that Trent and his team could match whatever mood a customer is aspiring to achieve for their event. We had local guests and out-of-towners, alike, rave about the beauty of the venue. The Margaret Place staff were professional, competent, and accommodating to all our needs. With it being a semi- outdoor venue, one of our biggest fears came true – the dreaded rain. However, the staff enacted a rain plan with grace and efficiency – so much so that no one would have ever guessed it was our alternate strategy. I will forever look back on Margaret Place with immense fondness – it was such a perfect venue to an incredible day.

ambiance. While scrolling through The Knot for an appropriate sized venue I knew Margaret Place would be perfect. From the very first viewing, Trent and his team were wonderful at communicating and assisting with coordinating everything for our big day. They worked seamlessly with our vendors which made everything on our wedding day breeze. In fact, my husband and I were shocked at how mellow we felt the day of our wedding. The entire venue is impeccably decorated creating the perfect backdrop for photos. Especially the bridal suite. The lighting is amazing with plenty of space to get ready. You could not put up a single piece of decor and your wedding would still be stunning. I found that the venue did not have as many restrictions as other venues I spoke with and were very open and considerate in creating your ideal vision for your wedding even allowing you to bring in your own catering, decor and/or planning vendors. It was also so nice knowing they have a groom’s suite which many other venues do not offer. We received so many compliments from our family and friends! My husband and I also spent the night so we didn’t have to coordinate staying elsewhere on our wedding night and I love the idea of being able to stay there for anniversaries! I could not suggest this venue more! For those that know indeed!

They were very helpful with putting together the floor plan, which turned out to be perfectly set up to allow our guests to meet each other and mingle. Margaret Place is a beautiful and well thought out venue. My wife enjoyed the get-ready room and the perks it offered, including an excellent massage chair! We also loved the variety of areas where people could hang out - the courtyard, the parlor, the secluded sitting area in the front, the lounge. Overall, we are very glad to have found Margaret Place our reception location!

was quick and easy. It was nice to be able to choose our vendors, and our event contact, Laurel, was flexible and willing to work with us. Since the time we booked, they have added a number of services, which to me make this place a no-brainer (e.g., bar service, in-house furniture). We finally saw the place in person a few months before our wedding. We met the owners, who seem to look at the place as a labor of love. We geeked out on the high-tech features. When we saw it in person we knew we had made the right choice. Our wedding day went incredibly smoothly. There were people on site to help with any tech issues, and they checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. I got ready in the beautiful bridal suite, and the people in the cafe downstairs very kindly brought coffees for our group. It was also nice to be able to get lunch right on site. Everyone commented that place was gorgeous - especially when the sun went down. The mood lighting is great. The decor/wallpaper makes for great photos. We had a wedding of about 50 people and it was perfect. Our string quartet was set up in the gazebo and we initially had floating candles in the pool, but after dinner the kids in our group were able to jump in, which was super fun. We were able to do the whole thing without a flip (except for moving our chairs to the dining tables), which made it very easy and saved us money. I would recommend this place to anyone getting married who wants a beautiful, breezy indoor-outdoor space, and flexibility to bring in their own vendors. It could definitely accommodate more than we had, but I thought it was perfect for our wedding size.

6:30 pm, left for our 2nd line around 6:45 and then had a cocktail hour from 7-8 pm. The sun set just in time for dinner and the space really came alive at night. The music sounded great and we used Tap Truck Nola as our bar so they were able to pull right in underneath the awning in the back and just bring the whole atmosphere together. Overall we are thrilled with how our wedding went and our guests have continued to rave about the space. Would absolutely recommend the Margaret Place to anyone considering using this space!

nd like the only wedding on earth. We had to tour the venue via FaceTime and they did such a great job making us feel good about our decision. We did not even see the venue until the rehearsal due to being in St. Louis. It went perfect. I wish we could relive the day every single weekend! Many thanks to Becca, Kio and Team for making our day SO special. It meant the World to US!

tter reception venue. We wanted a true New Orleans experience and what we got was so much more than we hoped for. The owner was there for our tour and explained all of the character of the hotel. Everything is first rate from the original 1800s windows, floors and chandeliers to the Versace wall paper. The beautiful courtyard and interior common spaces (sitting rooms and dining space) provided the perfect setting to show off the New Orleans character and left our guests speechless. There were more than enough bathrooms and spaces to move around. The sound system was incredible! I wish I could upload pictures with my review. Both the interior and exterior wedding pictures came out so beautiful with the hotel as the setting. Just amazing!!! Do yourself a favor and go take a tour! You will book on the spot! Although MP has New Orleans charm it is completely high tech! We rented out the hotel for the weekend, which I highly recommend, and each room was set up with the most amazing high tech systems. I have never seen a shower like the ones in that hotel. The bed and bedding was incredible! Truly, we had the whole hotel at our disposal for the weekend. It was so relaxing to not have to drive and transport everything needed for the wedding day. The makeup artist and hair people came and did the bridal party in the GORGEOUS and HUGE bridal suite. The owners were accommodating and professional. They had Kyo stay with us at the hotel to ensure we had everything we needed. She was awesome!!! But, none of this would have been possible without Becca, their recommended wedding planner. She worked seamlessly between Trent, the owner, and my daughter and our vendors. She has an INCREDIBLE assistant, Jessica. I just can't say enough about Jessica. She literally made sure we had everything we needed throughout the weekend. We just loved her. Kyo did a lot, too. :) I don't typically write reviews but I had to this time. This was our daughter's and (now) son in law's special day and we wanted everything to be perfect. It was so much more than that. I am grateful to have wonderful memories of a very special weekend at Margaret Place. If you are looking for "special, luxury, character, attention to detail, customer service and different-in all of the best ways," book Margaret Place. You and your guests will be glad you did!

Our guests kept saying how refreshing it was that they had never seen another venue like MPH, which made us feel like we made the right choice. The whole planning process was so easy with their staff from start to finish. I would highly recommend this gorgeous and historic venue to anyone who wants something a little different than the same few spots you see people getting married in the city. And don't even get me started on the rooms and bridal suite!!

clean, and has a lovely balance of romantic/classical structure with modern amenities.  It was truly the perfect place for my wedding and is a hidden gem in the city. Longer detailed version: I had my wedding and reception with 50 guests at Margaret Place in April 2021 and it was a crucial part in making my wedding day absolutely amazing!  The venue is stunning - the landscaping, the courtyard, and the exposed brick creates a natural and romantic atmosphere.   The interior also echoes this vibe with its spacious sitting room, open dining room and kitchen decorated with designer wallpaper. and lots of natural light.  The owner made sure to balance modern renovations with keeping the charm and historic architecture of the building and the end result is beautiful.   We loved that as a "micro" hotel, there were a total of 5 rooms, including a beautiful bridal suite.  We ended up renting the entire venue (including all 5 rooms) for the day/evening of the wedding and it was wonderful having the venue to ourselves making the entire event feel more personal instead of a bigger hotel/venue where there would be other non-wedding guests.  I didn't realize just how exhausted we would be at the end of the evening, but it was so nice to be at a venue with rooms so we could just walk upstairs to our amazing suite at the end and have a beautiful space to rest.   Speaking of the rooms, they are AMAZING! Before finding Margaret Place, my mom and I toured several other NOLA hotels and venues were self-described as "renovated" and we were continuously disappointed - the rooms were often old and just seemed really generic.  The rooms at Margaret Place have amazing modern touches such as a massage chair in the bridal suite, bluetooth speakers, balconies with city views, new furniture, ect.  The courtyard is well maintained with a beautiful gazebo and a small pool that can be covered to use as a stage.  The two rooms in the side house also have a wrap around balcony over the courtyard. Overall, it definitely feels like a true upscale boutique hotel. One of my favorite parts of Margaret Place are the dual balconies in the bridal suite - one has a spectacular balcony overlooking the CBD and the CCC bridge and the other overlooks the inner courtyard.  These were some of our favorite places for formal pictures.  The room also had beautiful etched glass doors, floor to ceiling windows, a completely modern bathroom with a touch controlled shower/tub, and a fridge. Everyone from the owner, the event coordinator, and the other staff members were outstandingly professional, polite, and accommodating.  They were wonderful to work with and just added to the overall great experience we had at Margaret Place.   Margaret Place is truly a 5 star venue and I cannot recommend it highly enough.  It's a perfect venue if you're looking for a romantic courtyard with tropical greenery and a historic New Orleans vibe.

that I’ve pursued. Especially in today’s world to entertain safely, it’s hard to find a spot that’s outdoors, spacious, and perfect vibe – well Margaret Place checks all of those boxes. From beginning to end, the customer service provided by Trenton and Jennifer exceeded all expectations. They were attentive to detail, provided great suggestions and insight, and were extremely accommodating overall. Not to mention- the rooms are AWESOME. Luckily,  great weather matched with Margaret Place’s ambiance, and the DJ we hired provided the perfect experience for my guests. I could not have asked for a better day and hope that others are able to create the same memories that I am so fortunate to have had at Margaret Place!

ding - funny how things come full circle. Based on the photos alone we booked the Margaret then scheduled a walkthrough. That’s how drawn to this place we were. The Margaret is historic, vintage, modern, and moody - literally all of the things I was looking for in a venue. The chandeliers, moody wallpaper, courtyard, greenery - chef’s kiss. The rooms were a techie’s dream - an ode to Trent himself. The venue was ours the day before at checkin and the day of. They are REALLY great about making sure no one else will be on the grounds during your event. Their slogan “for those who know” is seriously an understatement. The Margaret is truly a dream! Our wedding was 3.3.2021❤️
