Marna's Catering

We selected Marna's very early in our planning process. They had the food options that we were looking for and their vibe seemed like a good fit for us, plus our wedding venue had nothing but good things to say about how nice they were to work with and how kind their people are. That really resonated with us. After working with them in the lead-up to the wedding and then the wedding itself, we feel really great about our decision to go with them. The food was great - we had a plated dinner, and we got a ton of compliments on the food... most of all, people loved that the food came out hot! We chose the Filet Mignon, Chardonnay Chicken, and the Eggplant Roulade. The sides we chose were the asparagus and red peppers, and the garlic mashed potatoes. We chose their house salad. My husband and I got the filet and LOVED it, but I heard from guests who had either of the other meals that they were equally delicious. Good food was really important to us, so we are thrilled. As far as planning went, things went pretty smoothly. I believe there was some staff turnover in the lead-up to our wedding, which wasn't an issue except that I did call the prior event manager by accident with a question, oops! She got me pointed in the right direction, which was kind of her. Other than that, communication was pretty good, and I am ultimately very happy with how it all turned out with Marna's.

We had a wonderful experience with Marna's Catering! They catered our wedding recently and the whole process was very easy and with prompt communication. We had a taco bar which was delicious and we got a lot of compliments from guests. The staff were very professional and everything went seamlessly the night of. Their prices were also very reasonable.

The Marnas team was professional, respectful, and communicative. They were a delight to work with and the meal was incredible. They worked with us to achieve our dream wedding. The staff were helpful, courteous, and maintained an air of professionalism and good cheer. I can't recommend Marnas enough - we will be eating at their restaurant often.

We used Marna's Catering for our wedding in June 2023. We lived out of state and we booked before we did a tasting. We were a bit nervous and honestly the tasting was not that great (it was a to-do tasting). We thought we made a mistake but there were so many good reviews and it was one of our venues recommended vendors so we stuck with them and I am glad we did. The food at our wedding was so much better than we expected based on the tasting! We got several compliments, especially on the chicken option we had. Some of our guests said their steaks were cooked at different temperatures (but everyone still liked it). There were very good portions sizes too. The staff were very attentive and professional. I guess when we did the tasting we reheated the food at home and it just was not the same. Overall, would definitely recommend Marna's for your wedding or event.

Marna’s made the day of the wedding very easy. The process leading up to the wedding was also excellent. The food was good especially the appetizers.

We were so happy with our experience with Marna's Catering. My husband and I live in the Robbinsdale area and have been patrons of Marna's restaurant for a few years. When we saw Marna's on the preferred vendor list for our venue, it instantly made it to the top of our list. Due to the insanity of booking a wedding in 2022, and after doing some vendor comparisons, we took a leap of faith and signed with Marna's before we even had a tasting. Marna's tastings were held only once a month on Sundays and filled up quickly, but we were confident based on our experience at the restaurant. We had an easy time working with their staff to pick the menu and put in our order. They provided clear instructions and deadlines for what we needed to do and by when. The food itself was delicious. While wedding food is often bland and underwhelming, we got so many compliments from our guests about the quality of the food. We were happy we chose the family style option - this was a fun atmosphere to share dishes with others at the table, and much quicker and easier than a buffet. The value you receive from Marna's is top-notch - they are one of the more reasonable caterers out there price-wise but they maintain a very high standard of quality. I highly recommend Marna's Catering!

Wow- talk about the perfect vendor. The entire team ensured our appetizers and meals were on time, organized, beautifully plated, and most of all- TASTY! We received so many compliments on our buffet meal (chicken Marsala, house salad, rolls, garlic potatoes, veggie medley). The captain checked in with us for important questions but for the most part, worked under the radar! I think we most enjoyed their pleasant company and excitement to be there- truly a wonderful and caring group of people. We will certainly be going to Marna’s restaurant based completely off our wedding experience!

Marna's was recommended by our reception venue and we were very happy with our choice! Communication was excellent throughout the process and they were very accommodating, even with some stressful last minute meal add-ons! Napkins, linens, and dinnerware were included which was very convenient. The only thing is we had some leftover food we couldn't take home because they didn't have any take home containers and the reception didn't either. Just something to be mindful of if you have extra food!

Marna's Catering was / is one of the recommended catering vendors at Pinewood Weddings & Events. We worked largely with Andrea and she was so thoughtful and organized. I asked for suggestions - I got suggestions. I needed to change colors in napkins - immediately was changed on our contract. Second guessed food options or needed to remove appetizers - instantly had a new contract in my inbox to review. Andrea was so incredibly on top of it the entire time and didn't miss a beat. Picking up linens was a breeze the week of our wedding and they provide options to get your linens delivered shortly after your wedding has concluded. Our guests kept talking about how good the food was. I was able to make it completely gluten free and nut free, making it so each guest could enjoy the meal completely without worrying about what they could and couldn't have - especially me, the bride, with Celiac Disease. We even had guests get seconds! Thank you for making our day truly special!

Marna’s catered our wedding on July 1st. Everything was better than I could’ve imagined! Many guests commented on how much they enjoyed the food. The service was wonderful. Andrea and Jeremy were so friendly and helpful through our entire process. I would highly recommend Marna’s to anyone looking for a caterer!!

Marna's was AMAZING! They catered our wedding in October 2021 and everything from the food to the service was outstanding. We did a chicken, salmon, and risotto option and all three meals were incredible (everyone wanted to know how they made the roasted carrot garnish). We're so grateful to Marna's for their effective communication, beautiful meal presentation, and fantastic service! Thank you for making our day so memorable!

Food was amazing! Tasting was amazing! They did forget to bring the linens when they were supposed to, but did get the linens in time before the wedding started! They were great to work with!

Marna’s catered our February wedding during the pandemic restrictions. In what was a stressful planning time with ever changing rules Marna’s did not add one ounce of stress to our day. In fact, they did everything they could to just do what was needed!! Our wedding day ended up being one of the coldest days of the year and I know that caused concerns for their food truck but they took care of everything 100%!! In fact, I didn’t even know there were any hiccups until after the night was over. 10000/10 recommend their services! Bonus we live a few short blocks from th it restaurant and oh boy do we love it. Forever love Marna’s!!

Our wedding was good DELICIOUS. From the apps to dinner to the nacho bar, every bite was too good! Holy cow! I wish I had tried more of it. Marna’s was so easy to work with - Andrea & Carlos were both amazing and communicated quickly with me leading up to the wedding. Their catering staff at the wedding was quick, nice, and fun! Marna's was excellent to work with - they were responsive with our meal changes and questions and were a breeze to work with while rescheduling our wedding as well. Marna's provide wonderful service and food for our wedding in Minnesota! We did a pasta bar, buffet style, and it was a huge hit. We really appreciated how friendly the staff was from the beginning of the planning process all the way through the reception. We would definitely recommend Marna's to other couples!

We loved working with Marna's for our wedding! Andrea and Carlos were very responsive when it came to logistical questions, like adding last minute appetizers for our day or getting us vegan hot dogs for our late night snack, to random questions like what size where the table cloths. Our guests loved the food! We served it family style and chose the protein duets which left everyone happy. We cannot say enough good things!

Carlos and his team was great! We did the bruschetta, chicken satay, and chicken empanadas for hor d'oeuvres and a taco bar for dinner. The food was delicious. I wish I knew the name of the wait staff, but while I was hiding, taking off my veil, one of the waitstaff saw me and asked me and my maid of honor if we wanted an appetizer before everyone else. He was so sweet! Overall, dinner tasted so good and service went smoothly. BONUS is Marna’s provided a custom carved watermelon! Such a cool idea!

Marna’s Catering was an absolute pleasure to work with! They provided prompt, clear communication throughout the entire planning process and everyone we interacted with was great to work with! Their food was so amazing and we received countless compliments on the appetizers and food, as well as the family style meal we chose to have! The carved watermelon was also a great bonus! They brought out the food to all tables impressively fast which we were worried about since we had a bigger wedding (200+ people). Overall we would highly recommend Marna’s Catering and loved working with them!

My wife and I cannot say enough good things about Marna's! After our first tasting and consultation we were sold. Food is absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced. They have so many choices to fit anyone's tastes. Do yourself a favor and put the truffle mashed potatoes on your event menu. On top of the food, Carlos and Andrea were awesome to work and plan with. All in all Marna's was an excellent experience for our wedding!

We chose Marna's as our wedding caterer both because they were recommended by our venue and because their restaurant is just blocks from our home, so we liked the idea of supporting a local place. The food was incredible! We were able to serve every guest a delicious combo of walleye (which reflected our wedding's northwoods atmosphere) and steak (my husband's favorite) as well as plenty of scrumptious veggies and appetizers. Family who didn't even attend our wedding approached me with accounts of how good they heard the food was, and several guests in attendance declared it was the best dinner they'd ever tasted. Even with some difficulties in planning, the Marna's team pulled together and delivered a wonderful wedding service.

We used Marna’s catering for our wedding this weekend and they were excellent. From the communication with Carlos to plan out our menu, our event captain Jeremy, to the delicious food - everything was top-notch. The tasting was good, but the actual food served at the wedding was phenomenal. We had the Caesar salads, prime rib, Lizano chicken and truffle mashed potatoes and it was all amazing. Highly recommend for your next event!

I'm a little late on writing this review, but better late than never, right? We used Marna's Catering for our wedding last September and could not be happier that we did. My wife and I booked Marna's services prior to the begin of the COVID-19 pandemic. Once the pandemic set in we had to make many modifications to our wedding including number of guests, venue, dinner serving style (buffet to plated) and more. We worked directly with Carlos, who helped us every step of the way and was very accommodating, professional and easy to work with. On top of that he was just a really cool dude. The serving staff was also very professional and provided excellent service in a COVID-safe manner. For our meal we had the champagne chicken, truffle mashed potatoes, and mixed vegetables. I may be a bit biased since it was my own wedding, but I honestly believe you'd be hard pressed to find a better wedding meal at the price point that they offer. The chicken was juicy, tender and well seasoned, the truffle mashed potatoes are to die for, and clearly their produce was fresh in addition to being perfectly cooked. On top of the quality of service and food, we felt that Marna's was very transparent about costs. We found that many caterers had lower prices, but charged extra for many things that Marna's includes in their services, such as linens, place settings, etc. We never felt as though we were being nickeled and dimed on minor ancillary services. Also, the carved watermelon is super cool and expertly done. Overall, I would recommend Marna's to anyone planning a wedding. The service, food, and bang-for-your-buck is all top notch. Couldn't have asked for a better caterer to work with.

We used Marna’s for our wedding. Carlos did an amazing job and was so great at communicating, especially with all of the changes with COVID-19. The food was delicious and all of our guests loved it! The staff were so nice and helpful throughout the evening. They were so attentive to my husband and I and seeing if we needed anything throughout the evening. Cannot recommend Marna’s enough for future couples/weddings or events!

I have so many amazing things to say about Marnas but I will try to keep it short. Working with Carlos and the team at Marnas was an absolute dream for our wedding. Carlos took the time to explain all the details to us, helped us pick the perfect menu that fit within our budget and made it SO easy for us to show up and enjoy our big day. We had so many compliments on our food. We chose the Lizano chicken and it was spectacular. I love that their menu is very friendly to those of us with food allergies and sensitivities. Of all the places we tried, Marnas was the ONLY caterer that could tell us the ingredients in their dishes. Everything was fresh, hot and damn delicious. The event captain, Jeremy, was EXCEPTIONAL. Everything went so smoothly and he was great with our guests. I was so impressed with how personable he was. I can’t recommend Marnas enough!!! Thank you so much for making our big day so special!

We were very happy with how everything turned out given all the uncertainty with Covid. We had to reschedule, decrease the guest count, change how the meal was served to comply with Covid requirements, etc.... Carlos was very easy to work with and managed all our changes with understanding and kindness. The serving staff was kind and courteous and everyone enjoyed the food!

Marna's was easily one of the best decisions we made throughout our wedding planning process. Carlos was absolutely fantastic to work with every step of the way. He is incredibly thorough and organized and he made the process seamless for me and my husband. He was so understanding and made planning a wedding during a pandemic as easy as he could. Our tasting was wonderful but the food at our wedding was even better than I remember!! Our wedding guests RAVED about how great the food was and they were very eager to go up for seconds. We have zero complaints about Marna's. We are beyond thrilled with their team and how perfect they made our wedding day!

As a wedding planner, I’ve worked with many different caterers. When it came time to plan my wedding, I chose Marnas because of the ease of working with them and the food! The food was a hit! Carlos was so easy to work with. We highly recommend Marna’s Catering for your event! We hired Marna’s Catering for our wedding in September 2018 at the Three Rivers Park District Silverwood Park in St. Anthony. The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff were wonderful to work with from the moment we started planning all the way until our wedding day. Before selecting Marna’s, we met with 5+ vendors for tastings. We selected Marna’s because their food was so high-quality and had fresh ingredients, had such a good flavor, was beautifully presented, was a good value, and provided guests with something a little more unique and memorable than a traditional vendor. We had approximately 200 people at our wedding and catered with Marna’s for appetizers and a buffet dinner. We had a number of guests with specific dietary needs, and Marna’s was more than willing to customize to meet the needs of our guests. The Marna’s wedding coordinator, Carlos, was incredibly responsive in communications, and all of the Marna’s staff we encountered during the planning process and on our wedding day were professional and friendly. Marna's is hands down the best caterer you will find! We have been to so many weddings and the food is always one of the either biggest hits or the biggest flops. So naturally we really wanted the food to be memorable for our wedding and Marna's nailed it! We spent a lot of time choosing a caterer and there was a lot of great contenders. After months of meetings and tastings we met with Carlos. We knew immediately he was our guy and hired Marna's that day. The food was second to none, the staff was extremely professional and the food was out of this world! Our guests are still raving about the menu and we were told by many it is the best wedding fare they have ever had. They are a one stop shop as they also included linens, a beautiful custom melon carving, along with cake cutting and water/coffee service. To top it all off they also had the best wedding coordinator on staff. Felicia made sure all of our vendors worked in perfect harmony. Her and the Marna's team made sure every aspect of the day was handled for us, so we were able to just enjoy our wedding day with no stress. The best part was it was all very reasonably priced. We had a great team and gourmet food for well under the price of a pig roast! If you are considering Marna's do yourself a favor and hire them. We have no doubt you will NOT be disappointed.

We used Marna’s catering for our wedding on 11/9 and also had Carlos as our day-of coordinator. The entire process of planning was smooth and stress-free! Carlos was SO great to work with and helped walk us through every step. The food was fabulous and our guests raved about it. Carlos setup our decor and it was more perfect than I ever could’ve imagined! We feel so lucky to have found Marna’s and Carlos! They helped make our wedding the best day ever. 10/10 would recommend to anyone!

I can't say enough good things about working with Marna's for our wedding this past weekend. Carlos was our point person the whole time for catering questions and he was always responsive and had great suggestions. My family is Central American, so we picked a menu with their Costa Rican food and it was perfect. Everybody was commenting on how delicious the food was and how great the staff were to work with. Marna's also provides day-of wedding coordination services so Carlos ended up playing that role on our day too. Everything went so smoothly and I didn't think about the details or timeline once! Can't thank Carlos and the Marna's team enough for making our day so special, relaxed, and fun!

My now-husband and I are so pleased with our experience with Marna's. From the very beginning, Carlos and his team were friendly, responsive, and willing to work with pulling off a delicious all-vegetarian menu. We got so many compliments on the food and the service. Marna's Catering was one of the easiest and best choices we made for our wedding. Our only problem after our initial tasting was that there were too many delicious foods we wanted to serve at our wedding - it was hard to narrow it down! We received many compliments on the food; in fact the wedding was a week ago and guests are still reaching out to me to say how much they loved the meal. Everyone at Marna's was great to work with, especially Carlos who handled all of our questions and executed the day perfectly. Marna's was also very affordable, especially considering the extremely high quality and service. We would definitely recommend them - or use them for an event in the future!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Carlos and the rest of the staff at Marna's were amazing. They were so easy to work with, and extremely kind. The food was absolutely delicious- no rubber chicken breast or overcooked steak! We did family style, and our guests loved it. The price was extremely reasonable, but it felt like a gourmet meal. You will not be disappointed!

First of all, Carlos was so helpful and responded really quickly to any questions we had along the way... I developed a dairy intolerance from stress during our wedding planning and they we're so easy to work with to exclude dairy from all of the meals so I was able to eat without being scared of getting sick. They we're so helpful and the food was delicious. Everyone seemed thrilled with how good and flavorful everything was that day. The staff was also really great and did a tremendous job the day of. I highly recommend them for your upcoming wedding.

The staff at Marna's catering were super helpful and pleasant to work with! Our wedding was family style, but they were able to accommodate the dietary needs of all of our guests. Everything was super delicious and they have a great variety on their menu. They helped us with the cake as well even though it was from an outside source. The day went perfectly and I didn't have to do a thing!
