I loved the fact that it was in the heart of Downtown Riverside so our guests, especially our out of towners could see just how beautiful historic Downtown Riverside was. It was also very close to my ceremony site. The Grand Ballroom was beautiful with the crystal chandelliers and it was such an elegant atmosphere. The food was also excellent. We had the Santa Fe Chicken which was chicken breast stuffed with chorizo and corn and cheese, with spanish rice and garden vegetables with a baby green salad with rasberry vinegarette.;Don't be so open when discussing what kind of event you will be hosting. Venues hear wedding and the price suddenly sky rockets. We initially chose the Marriott but they're first price quote was way beyond our budget so we looked elsewhere. When the Marriott found out we were looking elsewhere they pulled out all the stops in addition to lowering the price by 3 thousand dollars! We only lost little things that in the end didn't even matter.

The catering manager/wedding coordinator there is great. They will try to accomodate all of your requests and they will work with you to change their 'package' into what you want for your wedding.;The space is nice but it is a hotel ballroom. Add lighting to make the space feel like less of a conference room. Warm up the otherside patio with lighting and furniture for a great lounge space. Be insistent on what you want or you may get the cookie cutter package wedding.
Any questions?
