I would like to give the entire wedding/catering/event team a HUGE thank you for making our day an absolute DREAM. I apologize for not writing this sooner!! My husband and I checked out numerous venues in Syracuse, and working in events and marketing myself I was a bit picky you could say. A few of our friends had attended weddings at the Marriott Syracuse Downtown, but we had yet been able to attend a wedding here ourselves.
Once we met with Lindsay, I knew this was the ONLY option. The ballrooms and facility as a whole are absolutely STUNNING. But the fact that everything was already on site, it made what could have been a very stressful weekend to a seamless one. Everything from parking, transportation, hotel options, the bridal suite, and after-party location was a one-stop-shop.
As soon as we started the whole planning process our event coordinator, Anissa, was super friendly, extremely organized, and BEYOND helpful with every detail/question/need we requested from her. You spend A LOT of time meeting and discussing your dream wedding with these people, it always helps to have someone who genuinely cares about you as a couple. We were so lucky to have her help us with our big day!
The day of was executed perfectly by the team, even though we were running behind. Shout out to Sharon, the Assistant Banquet Manager, who even hand-delivered cocktail apps to me in the bridal suite (per my request) and made sure my husband had a beer-in-hand the whole night (yes, these little things are important when you have 200 people trying to talk to you non-stop lol)! Lindsay and Anissa, we're so helpful when it came to selecting our menu and accommodating our guest's dietary restrictions and bar options. Everyone won't stop raving about how great the dinner and dessert bar was, even our vegan and vegetarian guests loved them!
Our décor was set-up absolutely perfectly, even better than I had envisioned! I was so impressed with Anissa and her ability to work with our vendors (even Otto the Orange) to coordinate drop-off and set-up times. Anissa even went the extra step to moving our guestbook and card box from cocktail hour to the bar during the wedding in case people missed it. At the end of the night, the hotel staff handled all of the flowers and decorations and even helped us donate them to another event happening in the ballroom downstairs the following day.
I cannot recommend having your wedding here enough. The entire staff was professional, accommodating, and felt like they even became our extended family. It will forever be a place that my husband, family, and friends will cherish forever. Thank you all so very much!
