I had my wedding here Dec 2023 and the location seemed like a good fit at first because my relatives had their wedding here before. The venue itself is beautiful but they do not allow enough time set up decor. Also I lost a sentimental item during my weddund and the manager Ramona and the vice-president sped through the video camera and did not interview their staff about the whereabouts of my missing item. They seemed careless and protecting their own staff from liability by brushing off the customer who booked this expensive venue. Be aware of booking this place as it looks good but the management does not care about the customers needs nor do they solve issues effectivley but they have no problem asking you to pay more money even on the day of your wedding. I am very dissapoinmented .
Professional. Helpful. Knowledgeable. Reliable. Great hospitality & staff. Food was AMAZING!
Bailey Russell was my wedding consultant I could not be any happier. She took her time to listen and understand what it is that you need she is great at offering suggestions when you think something is needed versus what may not be the best choice. She has a great eye for decor. She work amazingly well with my planner everything when so smooth that if something went wrong I didn’t know about it. I was very leery on if the sound was going to be a problem based on other reviews but I had no complaints and my wedding was 30 mins longer indoors. The food was great service was great and the bridal assistants was extra amazing.

The service, music, details, decor, staff, and experience was great. The events were timely, the staff was friendly and accommodating and the facility was clean.
Our experience at Martin's was wonderful. Lori, our event planner, was so nice and always answered our questions in a timely manner. We had our reception in theRegency room. It was gorgeous! The lighting was so beautiful and romantic. They made it really easy to relax and enjoy our day without having to worry about the details, because they took care of everything. On top of all of that, the food was fantastic. Our guests enjoyed the entire night.
Martin crosswinds was awesome the workers there are great and so is the food they really treat you like family
I highly recommend this place! Very professional! Guest say it was the best wedding they have ever been to! If you want a stress free beautiful wedding, choose this venue!
Martin's is a beautiful place. The host was excellent. Food and service was excellent.
I have enjoyed the service and food provided by Martin Crosswind and Catering located in Greenbelt, MD. From the very first appointment, they were very helpful and attentive to my request and even my food allergies.
They took extremely great care of me and my husband. They assigned a special Bridal Helper (not sure what the exact title is)to assist us with taking care of our special items used at the reception and then cleaned and package the items up for us to take home. They were very flexible with meeting times and in all they are WONDERFUL!
Highly recommend this place for wedding reception. The staff was awesome!!!
I had a, almost perfect experience with Martin's. The planning process was wonderful. Jacquline Dobbins was great. The day was perfect. All of the food was delicious, with the exception of the baked ziti. DON'T order it. My wedding day far exceeded my expectations.
I am not giving Martin's a perfect score beacuse of one sssmall, but sentimental, issue that has yet to be resolved 19 days after my wedding. I had a personalized runner for my ceremony. It was placed upside as I walked down the isle. It wasn't a big deal at the time. The problem is that I never got it back. When I got it home and unrolled it, it was blank. My husband and I had planned to frame it. So, although I paid for this special touch, I have never seen it. When I called the venue about it, the attitude was that it was coordinator's fault. However, staff at the venue rolled it up and told her they would put it in the box. Yes, we got the box, with someone else's runner. That was a sentimental part of my wedding that I intended to keep.
I would do it all again using Martin's. I didn't think I had to, but my suggestiontion is that you follow up behind them to ensure all of your items are returned.
What got a great deal at Martin's Crosswinds! The things that I loved about this venue is that the food, drinks, cake, table clothes, candelabra, chairs, tables were all included. The service was great! The banquet manager was very attentive and made sure everything was taken care of. The food was very delicious!
The staff at Martin's was dynamic. I dont think I could've pulled everything together without them. Firstly, I was late for my own wedding which resulted in the guest arriving into the lobby before me. The staff at Martins found a way to "sneak" me in without being spotted by my guest. Next, I discovered a streak of bright red lip stick on my ivory wedding dress. I could've fainted. The hostess miraculousy got the lip stick out and helped me to calm down a bit. Everything from there was taken care of by the managers and staff at Martin's. Things ran smoothly and everything I asked for was granted. When I walked into the room after the ceremony for the reception, it was as if I walked into a fantasy world. I almost cried from marveling over how beautiful everything turned out.
I couldgo on and on about the venue, the service, the food (WOW), and the atmosphere but anyone who has ever been there knows. For anyone else that hasnt, do yourself a favor and let Martin's Crosswinds host your function. It is a special day and they know how to keep it that way!!!
Martins is simply the best!! I didn't have a care in the world at my wedding. The food was delicious, the ambiance was perfect. These guys know what their doing. They caterred to my every want and need. Before we knew it, our magical day came to an end.
Martins caterers has several locations, I had my wedding and reception at Camelot in Upper Marlboro MD. The venue had everything we needed from the lush bridal suite, the lovely room we had our ceremony, and the GRAND room we had our reception. We were impressed immediately when we visited the site for the first time. The staff was always working to keep us happy and coming back. The whole process was simple and streamline. No tricks or surprises. The guests were in awe of how everything came together. The food is outstanding and the cake is just as fabulous. Everything inside of Camelots doors were perfect! ***It's even better when you're the only event in the building. I had to share a corridor with another wedding reception and their music was heard during the blessing of the food- my only gripe.
Throughout the entire process, I was dealing with a sales rep that worked very hard in making sure that I got what I wanted; I very much appreciated her hard work and dedication.
The food at the second tasting was great, but this was not reflected at the actual reception. A key topping (which we deliberated about many days) was missing from one of the dishes. My wedding coordinator followed up with the vendor regarding this mishap, but we have not received a response. I decided it's not worth the effort.
The bride attendant provided by the vendor was very helpful and thoughtful. The price was more reasonable than the other venues that I was considering. The hall was beautiful and the table settings looked great. The uncovered chairs were not an eye sore afterall. The facility is well maintained. Overall, I give this vendor an "OK."
The time of our life! If anything went wrong I didn't know anything about it. Martin's staff was right there to make sure all was well. If I had to do it all over again I would definitely use Martin's all over again.
We looked at 3 places in PG, and Martin's had very reasonable prices for our budget. After working with Robin S., I was SO happy and felt NO stress at all! The whole staff was wonderful and helpful, and they took care of so many things that we didn't have to worry about. The day of my wedding, again, all of the staff involved were amazingly nice and helpful. The food was great, the cake was great, and everyone had a great time.
My reception contact person was absolutely wonderful, and I was really happy with the customer service during the reception planning process. She was very attentive and very responsive and helped me so much. During the actual reception day, however, there were problems. Martin's forgot to set up a vendor table for the four vendor meals I paid for, so my cousin had to scramble to find seats for them with the guests. They set up our favors incorrectly, although we had specified it in the contract. The sound system had problems, and they offered an additional hour of open bar to compensate, but we didn't request or need an additional open bar. They also ran out of coffee towards the end. Also, be aware that you may hear events in the next rooms. We could hear the bass of another event, which disrupted our toasts, dance, and a song that my husband had sang for me. Overall I think the customer service is really friendly and nice at Martin's, but they were sloppy in fulfilling some of our details. I would still recommend the venue to others, but I would warn them to really make sure the staff takes care of the details.
Martin's Crosswinds was great. I had my wedding and our reception at this location and we were happy with everything! My personal bridal assistant during my wedding day was amazing as well, there was nothing she didn't remember to do and she did everything she could to make sure our day went the way we wanted, not to mention she was very attentive to our guests, who were also thrilled with the service of Martin's Crosswinds. I would definitely go back there for another event.
OK
I loved Martin's and I would recommend them to anyone else I knew who was planning a wedding. We had the wedding at a church and the reception at Martin's Crosswinds. The good, everyone was nice, friendly and helpful. The bad, because of time constraints, my husband and I didn't really get to eat because we had to move along with the day (give the toast, cut the cake, have your first dance, father-daughter/mother-son dance, bouquet toss, etc.) Before we knew it, the event was over and we'd only had hors d'oeuvres! I did not like the fact that all of our guests had already eaten by the time we arrived. I'm told that everything tasted great and that it was the best wedding ever but we missed a lot of it. The ugly, there was a bug in the watermelon! The manager rectified the situation by removing the entire fruit display and bringing out a new fruit display (so I'm told). We ordered a tuxedo cake but was given a straight lemon cake. Although it tasted great, it wasn't what we ordered. I say again, all of the staff was very nice and accomodating but there were a few flaws (bug in the food...HORRIBLE!)
Service was wonderful. The food was excellent and they offered seconds. Overall pleasant experience.
First, I loved that Martin's offers a package deal with a good variety of food and open bar. Martin's also offers extras that aren't astronomically priced. For instance, we got a chocolate fountain but it didn't break our budget. They also offered a nice selection of table linens to choose from and they matched perfectly with our theme. Lastly, the staff was friendly, helpful, and organized.;The only thing I can think of is location. For anyone not familiar with the area it may be hard to find since it is set back behind a shopping center and some office buildings.
The staff was so accommodating and helpful. They have bridal hosts that waited on me the entire night. They were great and helped me relax and have a good time.;There is a reduced price for children under 12 but this was never mentioned to us when we put the contract together.
We really picked this location because of the package and price. I loved the second event manager that I worked with. She was most helpful.;Martin's Crosswinds is not concerned with customer experience or service. We were promised that I would have a bridal room available. They had so overbooked the facility that my party and I had to sit in the limo for 30 minutes. The bridesmaid's dresses got wrinkled. The venue was also too crowded and the catering staff was stressed out. In the end they nickel and dimed me over every thing and the pricing increases did not make much sense.
The staff was professional.;Please make sure that you work out before hand exactly what room your event will be held in.After being promised one room i was put in another. Make sure you get it in writing. Make sure that the champagne really is champagne and not sparkling wine like verdi spumante which they served me
The large beautiful ballroom w/ the huge chandeliers. The price per person was excellent too!;They assigned a 'wedding coordinator' to me for the event but I must have delt w/ at least 4 or 5 different people leading up to the event, and then had at least 4 other people trying to take care of things the day of. Not too keen on that. Would have been nice to dealt w/ one or two people.
the room itself was just great it was enough room for everyone to move around comfortably
Food was excellent! There was plenty of food and all of it was freshly prepared. The staff was extremely accomodating and professional and helpful in every way! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND MARTIN'S CROSSWINDS IN GREENBELT MD.;Please start on time as you will defintiely have to shut down on time.
Everyone raved about the food the beauty of the reception area and the music. The customer service is wonderful. We were both very pleased! It made the day move so much more smoothly.;It can be crowded as many events are happening at the same time.
The staff was very helpful in the planning and made it so that we did not have to worry about the small details. They were also receptive to the things we wanted to change (ie a different kind of beer and custom made table cards).
The customer service. They make sure every detail is taken care of so you don't have to worry.
Service adn food was excellent. Karen Baker, my rep. from Martin's Crosswinds is the best and very detail oriented.
Martin's Crosswinds was an elegant venue and it was convenient for our out of town guests.;There was another event in the room next door and their music could be heard by our guests at times.
the best part was that they offered packages which included, catering, cake and DJ... this was great because that was less work that I had to do. The staff was also great because of how good they were with the all of the details. They stuck to our timeline and made sure it was carried out flawlessly. They also had someone assigned to take care of the bride and groom which was great when we needed something right away.;The only problem we had was with the original planner we dealt with, she ended up being a problem for us but once I contacted my sales rep she remedied the situation immediately.
