Working with Mary as our wedding planner was the best decision we made for our big day! From the very start, she put us at ease and helped guide us through the entire planning process. We were looking for someone who could not only help bring our vision to life but also find excellent vendors and listen to our concerns—Mary did all of that and more. As someone who is very type-A and likes to have control over everything, I thought I would struggle with letting go, but Mary made it so easy. She truly understood our vision and helped us stay on track throughout the year and a half we worked together. On the wedding day, it was an entirely stress-free experience. I knew I could relax because Mary and her team had everything under control, taking care of all the behind-the-scenes details. I can't recommend Mary and her team enough—they made our wedding day perfect! I promise you won't regret it!!
If you’re looking for a wedding planner/coordinator, hire MEE. Mary is the reason I was told near constantly during wedding planning by other vendors and friends/family that I seemed “remarkably calm,” something I have never been accused of at any point in my life. Planning was truly a fun experience because of the support I had at every stage. The partial planning package was a great fit for me, but I would definitely entrust Mary to plan my entire wedding if I could do it all again. My husband and I have talked extensively about how her work gave us both the opportunity to truly have the best time possible at our wedding. Basically, hire Mary or Nadia. You will be so happy you did.
I cannot recommend enough. Nadia went above and beyond to make our day perfect. There was rain in the forecast at our outdoor venue and Nadia not only kept me sane (which isn't easy), but she was able to create the exact feel that we wanted despite the rain. She created pure magic, we'd never be able to thank her enough. An unforgettable, romantic, gorgeous day. Planning was a dream. My husband and I are wanderlusts from Michigan who yearned for an intimate destination wedding. Our venue was a historic bed and breakfast located outside Harrisonburg, Virginia – about 10 hours from our home.

Mary is a well-organized and knowledgeable professional. She provided vendor recommendations and planning resources to get us started. She anticipated needs, checked in with us frequently, prevented items from falling through the cracks, and provided creative solutions when needed. Sometimes, she had difficult conversations with our vendor on our behalf. Mary remained calm and steadfast for us no matter the task. My husband and I can be control freaks with details, but we trusted Mary implicitly.

We love Mary!! We hired her as a partial planner for our wedding in Crozet, Va in Oct 2022. While my husband and I are both Type A, we wanted to have a planner as a safety net since we didn't have event planning experience. Looking back, we're both so grateful we chose her! Mary was wonderful at providing as much or as little support as we needed through the different phases of the wedding planning process and checking in every now and then to make sure we were on track. She offered several helpful resources, recommendations, and tips and helped us navigate a couple tricky situations (such as non-responsive vendors). Our wedding day went smoothly and was everything that we hoped it would be. Any small hiccups were resolved quickly by Mary and her small team of assistants. We highly recommend Mary Elizabeth Events if you want a stress-free wedding!
I hired Mary and her team to aid with planning my wedding day in Afton, Virginia. I currently live a couple hours away so finding vendors in my budget and what I was looking for posed a challenge. It was important to me that I hired a wedding planner who could help me in this area. Mary had constant communication with me and helped me so much with any task that I needed assistance with. From our first conversation, I knew she would be a great fit in planning our wedding. When it came to our wedding day, there were many changes due to weather and Mary aided to execute our day flawlessly. I honestly could not have done it without her and her team! She worked closely with my vendors on the day to ensure everything ran smoothly. If I had to do it all over again, I would've hired Mary sooner!
We could not recommend Mary highly enough!!!! Everyone told my husband and I before our wedding that we should accept that some things would inevitably go wrong or some details may slip through the cracks, but Mary somehow did the impossible and made our wedding day PERFECT. I mean that literally and without exaggeration — everything was truly perfect and we have 0 complaints or regrets about our wedding day (and that’s coming from a Type A perfectionist). Once you’re deep into the wedding planning process, you can appreciate how huge of a feat that is, and we truly credit Mary and her team for how smoothly everything went.
Mary was incredible from the very start. We had a partial planning package and Mary went above and beyond in answering all of our millions of random questions about every little detail of the wedding day. She always had an answer for us and coordinated some of the more nitty gritty details, like placing rental orders.
Mary is so organized and communicative, which made such a difference. As the wedding got closer and we were really feeling the stress of all of the details that needed to be remembered, it was clear that Mary was on top of everything. She had a number of forms that walked us through some details that we never would have thought of on our own. She even had us fill out an incredibly helpful form to make sure that each piece of the decor we were bringing was set up in the right place to our specifications and ended up where it should be at the end of the night. Mary’s attention to detail and organizational skills are why our wedding day went off without a hitch.
If you’re looking to take some stress off yourself and ensure that you have a pro steering the ship both before and on your wedding day, you should book Mary immediately!!! We are so grateful for you, Mary!!
We had an awesome experience with Mary and would definitely recommend her! We were planning an out of state wedding, and we would not have been able to do it without her. She answered all of our questions in a professional and prompt manner, and had very helpful planning documents and website to keep us organized.
She provided great recommendations for other vendors and was very helpful communicating with all of them as we approached our wedding day. She was so helpful on the actual day, she kept us right on schedule and had everything we needed before we even knew we needed it. Our day went off without any issues, and Mary handled absolutely everything so that we had nothing to worry about and could enjoy our day!
1000% recommend Mary!! We were planning our Virginia wedding from Texas which came with its own struggles but Mary was the most supportive and helpful vendor to have throughout the process. She helped us stay mindful, organized and on schedule. We were a Covid affected wedding so we ended up postponing our wedding twice - Mary basically planned 3 weddings! She made it all so seamless during such an emotional time having to go through postponing and re-coordinating everything with our multiple vendors. We had such a lovely experience with Mary's partial planning package, from start to finish. She was always just a phone call (or email, or text) away whenever I had crazy questions about the planning process, which was all the time. She helped calm my nerves and keep me on track through the whole process, including a one-year delay due to COVID-19. Mary and her team ran the show with authority and grace on wedding day. More than 2 years ago we chose Mary as our wedding planner for our 10/30/2021 wedding. She was so sweet and kind from the get go and really helped us throughout the 25 months we had with her. We went with the partial planning package and it was well worth the money. Mary helped with vendor communications and answered any questions I had before our wedding (no matter how ridiculous, lol). She was always responsive and really stepped up communications the month of our wedding. We had multiple planning calls and felt at ease letting our special day be taken care of by her and her team. She was there at the rehearsal, her team was on time for the wedding day, and they executed my decor vision that was still left to be done flawlessly. She was helpful with my bridal party and took care of any questions they had. She took care of my vendors and helped with any issues that popped up. Don't hesitate to book Mary!
We truly cannot recommend Mary enough. She was with us every step of the way in planning our wedding. From the venue search to the day of details she had everything under control and made our day run smoothly. She is always prompt to answer emails or phone calls and will help you navigate any bump in the road. Our vendors even commented that she went above and beyond in their interactions with her to make their jobs easier as well. Beyond her excellent logistical and communication skills she also has a great eye for design and was able to take our vague ideas of what we wanted and turn it into a beautiful scheme the day of our wedding. Even better she did all this and kept us below our budget! You should definitely consider her for your wedding planner- we couldn't have done it without her help!
Mary Elizabeth was an awesome wedding planner who we hired as a day of coordinator for our daughter's wedding in March. Our venue required us to have a coordinator and she was SO needed to keep things in order. Mary was very thorough and organized and was pleasant to work with ahead of time and throughout the entire wedding day and night. She conducted a very detailed assessment in advance in order to carry out our wishes and she worked hard all day from set up to clean up at the venue. She is intelligent, uses technology well (for seating charts and google drive set up for example), and has a perfect personality for this work as she kept smiling and appeared calm as she performed many tasks simultaneously in order to keep things running smoothly. She was timely in her responses and always answered our questions promptly. We would highly recommend Mary Elizabeth as a wedding planner !
