If I could redo one thing about my wedding, I would have chosen a different florist.
After we met with Maria initially, I was excited to work with her. When we got the quote back, it was far over our original budget. She had put in everything ...that we had talked about so I understood.
Three months before the wedding, I reached out to Maria via email to set up the final meeting to go over everything before the wedding. Her contract says that email is her preferred method of contact. I got no response. After two weeks, I sent a follow up and was immediately responded to letting me know I was on her to do list. Another two weeks go by and still no response. I sent another follow up and finally got a reply to get on her calendar. Throughout this time, she was able to post on Instagram almost daily and create a few blog posts.
On the day of our wedding, I looked in the ballroom to find that our large centerpieces were not at all what we had discussed or pictures I had shown her. I had a groomsmen point out how lopsided the flowers looked. They had hardly any flowers and the wrong tall base. Not at all like the pictures I had shown her, or what we had discussed in person/what I sent her via email.
She wasn’t there in person on the day of our wedding which I get, but she posted on her social media pictures of her at a popular blogger in Houston’s baby shower. I get the feeling that she was more concerned about gaining popularity from that then our wedding even though we spent a fortune on flowers. Maybe I just caught her at a bad time, but my experience was poor.
