Alyssa, MBE’s graphic designer, created our save the dates and invitations and was so amazing to work with, too! All our prep work led to the most perfect and seamless wedding day. The MBE team took care of EVERYTHING, flawlessly bringing our vision to life in just a couple hours. Thanks to the MBE team, everything was absolutely perfect and we were able to have stress-free morning getting ready with the bridal party. Marissa is pure MAGIC and made me feel so at peace throughout the whole process up until the very end of our wedding day. We’ve heard from so many couples that they were barely able to enjoy their wedding day because of all the stress / coordination, but thanks to MBE I can confidently say we had the best night of our lives at our wedding. ertain that we wouldn’t be able to say that if we hadn’t worked with MB Events. For context, I didn’t want a wedding. I wanted to elope because it would be easy and I just wanted to be married, but my husband encouraged me to consider an intimate wedding with our closest friends and family on his parents’ property. He also insisted on getting a wedding planner to make this as stress-free as possible for both of us. We talked to several wedding planners, but when we got off the phone with Marissa from MB Events, I immediately said “she’s the one.” Marissa was the only planner we talked to who asked about our story, our families, and our feelings right off the bat. She listened to us and gave us frank, honest advice about planning a “backyard wedding” (spoiler: it takes a village). I was truly starry-eyed while talking to her because she is the epitome of calm confidence. Now, this land needed some serious TLC… I remember when MB Events first came to look at the property, it was hard for any of us to imagine how we could turn it into our wedding venue, but Marissa saw through the wild overgrowth and created the loveliest vision that we never would have thought of without her help. It was the spark that motivated us to make this work. We didn’t really know what we wanted this wedding to look like, only some vague ideas: warm and whimsical, like a garden party with lots of light and color. We shared Pinterest boards with a wild mix of inspiration, and she was able to sift through all our ideas to nail down a theme that considered who we are as individuals and as a couple. Planning a wedding on family land requires a lot more thought and effort than a wedding at a venue. You need to consider things like bathroom trailers, weather protection, parking, and countless other things that were not even close to the front of our minds. MB Events thought of everything – this was clearly not their first rodeo. Marissa put together floor plans, mood boards, and schedules detailed down to the minute. She held our hands through every step of the process, kept in contact via call and text, and sent us reminders to be sure that nothing was forgotten. We took all her recommendations without question, including her vendor recs (which are top tier, btw), and I’m so glad we did. There are no words to adequately capture how incredible our wedding turned out to be. It all came together seamlessly, and we’ve been so humbled by the number of compliments we’ve received from our guests. But the best part for us was not having to worry about a single thing the entire wedding day. Knowing MB Events had everything handled gave us the peace of mind to be fully present (especially on the dance floor), and that is a gift that we will be forever grateful to them for. It’s priceless. At the end of the night, we exchanged tearful goodbyes; it feels like we’ve known them for ages instead of a year. It’s so obvious that they love what they do. Their love, care, and authenticity radiates. We cannot recommend MB Events enough; we can say confidently that our wedding day was the best day of our lives, and considering one of us didn’t want a wedding in the first place, we think that’s saying something. 10/10 would renew our vows just to do it all over again.

We had a bit of an emergency occur the day before our wedding and Caroline went above and beyond to check on how we were doing and make sure we were okay. On the actual wedding day Caroline and Mackenzie made sure everything went smoothly, which was so welcome as I tend to be a very anxious person. I was able to enjoy the day leading up to our wedding, knowing I had 2 capable people there to help. Caroline also had my phone and took "behind the scenes" pics during which I was so thankful for!! I got to look through them the next morning and relive some of the moments that went by so quickly. The wedding day went by so fast so I didn't get to give them the thanks they really deserved, but my husband and I were so grateful we had them helping us along the way!

She kept me on track with payments, with responding to emails and routinely checked in with me to see how things were going. She was always just a text away. She coordinated with all of my vendors and produced a beautiful timeline for our big day. She stuck up for me and helped me find answers/alternative solutions if anything was unclear or needed to be addressed. Marissa is a true professional and missed literally nothing when it came to my large and complex wedding (250 guests). I cannot imagine what the day would have been like without her and her phenomenal team. I interviewed with about 10 different planners over three weeks before I went with my gut with MB Events and I am so glad we did. This is definitely someone you can trust with one of the most special days you'll ever have! I could not recommend Marissa and her team enough if you are planning a wedding in New England.

We stayed in contact for months leading up to the big day, she was always responsive whether it was a phone call, zoom, email, or text. She put together a detailed timeline and stayed in contact with all my vendors so assure everyone was on the same page. The MB Events team helped all of our guests seamlessly, they made sure to inform us of the timeline throughout the day, and truly saw to any and all of our needs. Marissa and her team kept all communication with vendors before and during the event smooth and organized and they thought of things I never would have. I was able to bounce all of my ideas off of them knowing I would receive supportive yet honest responses about how logistically those ideas might work or look. I could not have done all of the planning without this coordination team. We felt so cared for and enjoyed our day so incredibly much thanks to them.

They had us run through 3 different rehearsal scenarios because the forecast was not looking in our favor, and I am so glad we did! I started to panic that my wedding was going to be ruined because of the rain and Marissa and Emily assured me that everything would be perfect and it was! Marissa, Emily and Doug quite literally saved the day on our wedding day when good ole spring New England weather decided to torrentially downpour on our wedding day. Our venue had a coordinator that was there to help however if Marissa, Emily, and Doug weren’t there, I can honestly say my wedding wouldn’t have gone as smooth as it did. From moving our ceremony inside to where our reception was to coordinating the change over during cocktail hour, everything was more than I could’ve imagined, including help coordinate having our dog be apart of our ceremony, which meant the world to me!There was more than a few hiccups that day but I didn’t know about a single one until our follow up call with Marissa and Emily after we got back from the honeymoon. This is the amazing quality work that MB Events provides! I was always afraid that I was going to become a brideszilla and I don’t feel as if that happened because Marissa, Emily, and Doug were there for absolutely everything! They thought of things we would have never considered, lipgloss hidden at our sweetheart table, drink orders prepared for our wedding party, to picking a point person for our cards to make sure nothing got lost. My only regret was not signing with MB Events sooner! My husband and I cannot thank Marissa, Emily and Doug enough for everything they did to give us our wedding of our dreams!

From the start, Marissa kept my husband and I organized throughout the entire wedding planning process, ensuring our vision for the day came to fruition, and truly made our wedding day better than we had ever expected. We planned an outdoor wedding, and inevitably it was supposed to pour (thunder, lightning, flood, tornado warnings), and Marissa and her team worked from sunup to sundown to ensure that our day was exactly as we had imagined, rain or shine. Marissa was an advocate for my husband and I when difficult day-of -decisions needed to be made in relation to the rain, which allowed us to just “focus and take in the moment” which we are extremely grateful for. With some last minute timeline adjustments by Marissa, we were able to have the outdoor ceremony of our dreams. This would not have happened without the expertise and dedication of Marissa and her team. Multiple times throughout the wedding planning process I told my husband that Marissa seems to be the only vendor we chose that is actually “on our side.” We struggled with the organization and responses of other vendors, especially as the wedding season was in full swing, but Marissa never missed a moment. She was professional, quick to respond, and extremely reliable. I know that there are many options when choosing a wedding planner, but I can honestly say, I believe Marissa and her team to be the best there is. Personally, the only downside I’ve found about working with Marissa has been the end of it all… because it feels kind of like I don’t have my best friend around anymore!
