McKenzie and her team were incredible! They were quick to respond to emails, gave great advice on vendors, and always had us as their top priority. McKenzie met with my husband and I several times leading up to the wedding to make sure no detail was left out. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect thanks to McKenzie and her wonderful team!
McKenzie Phillips Events was recommended to me as a wedding planner. Upon calling, I was informed that they were taking time off for the year. However, after hearing my situation she was still willing to help me and offered one of her a la carte services over the phone. She was very professional, helpful, understanding, and easy to talk with as she gave me advice and ideas to establish a practical, realistic, and detailed timeline. I know I would have hired her for our wedding planner if she would have been available because she would have made sure our wedding would have gone on flawlessly. I would definitely recommend McKenzie to any bride needing a wedding planner. I believe that she can get the job done professionally and expertly.
McKenzie Phillips Events (& Mckenzie herself) were so wonderful! Because of Mckenzie & her fabulous team, I was able to truly relax and enjoy our day. I went with her 'day of' package, but don't let that fool you, she put in a lot of time with me prior to that. She was always answering questions (& I had a lot haha) and comforting me when I expressed any fears. Mckenzie is kind, hard working, detail oriented and truly cares that you have the most special day that goes exactly the way you dreamed it would! We had such a great weekend with family and friends and McKenzie Phillips Events was the icing on the cake to make it all go according to plan...and in some ways even beyond that! If you are looking for the BEST wedding coordinating team, McKenzie Phillips Events is it! McKenzie was our day of coordinator, but she went above and beyond to make sure the finally month couple months leading up to wedding day went smoothly and that we weren’t missing any anything important. McKenzie is amazing at making even the most anxious brides feel at ease and taken care of throughout both the planning process and on wedding day. She helped this type A, schedule oriented, bride put together a detail oriented wedding day agenda that was absolutely perfect and helped everyone stay on track. McKenzie was so attentive to everyone’s needs on wedding day and was always one step ahead of me whenever I needed help with something. Even when small (expected) bumps arose during the wedding day, I was able to relax and know I was in good hands with her and her team and everything turned out absolutely perfect in the end. If you are on the fence about hiring a coordinator for your wedding, DO IT! Being able to actually enjoy your day stress free is priceless. I will forever recommend McKenzie Phillips to anyone getting married. She has become more than just our wedding planner- I now consider her a friend.

We just got married this past weekend and I don't have enough good things to say about McKenzie! She was our day of coordinator and was absolutely amazing, helped immensely leading up to the wedding, and made our big day go off without a hitch. I couldn't recommend her enough if you are looking for a day of coordinator. Her and her team did all the set up, take down and kept the big day right on schedule. Our wedding day was awesome and a huge part of that was picking McKenzie to be our coordinator!
McKenzie and her team did an incredible job ensuring our wedding day went smoothly. As little things came up that we needed they were close by and always had it ready, often they even anticipated what they could do to help even before we needed it. They did a great job capturing the vision we had for set up of decor at the venue and overall we were so happy to have McKenzie as our Day of Coordinator!
I can't say enough great things about McKenzie and her team! We hired McKenzie for day-of coordination for our wedding on August 3rd, but you would've thought we booked her for full services! She was constantly going above and beyond for us, addressing any concerns, promptly replying to emails, and just overall being a fun and bubbly person to communicate and meet with! We had a little mishap during our wedding day which landed the groom in the ER for some stitches, and her team handled everything flawlessly; from what I heard they kept the party going as if nothing was wrong and discreetly communicated with people to rearrange things such as the garter/bouquet toss. Hire McKenzie and her team!! You won't regret it!
I chose McKenzie Phillips Events to provide day-of coordination, and I am SOOOO happy that I did! I work full time on cruise ships so I planned my whole wedding through sending emails, skype interviews with vendors, and sharing inspiration pictures online rather than being able to choose decor and elements in person. McKenzie was fabulous at keeping in touch and responding quickly to every one of my emails, way before the actual planning meetings began. She offered great suggestions for other vendors within our budget, and was a great go-to guide for any help I needed during the planning process. McKenzie and her team were prompt, extremely organised, and thought of every single detail of things I would not have thought of! Our wedding was SO easy, all of our family and guests continue to comment on how smooth and effortless everything was. My family was able to all be together and not worry about setting anything up, because McKenzie was in charge and had it all covered. From setting up our decor the day before, to having everything organised and cleaned up in record time, they were ON IT! Thank you so much for providing such wonderful service which allowed us to relax and be able to cherish every moment of our wedding day!
McKenzie was a lifesaver as my day of coordinator! Her and her staff were all over it anytime any problem arose, and McKenzie was always in the background anticipating anything I might need, even if it was just an ear to vent to. She is so organized and was the single reason that everything ran so smoothly!
If I could give more than 5 stars to McKenzie and her team, I would. Having McKenzie help us with our wedding day was the best decision we made and I will tell anyone who will listen how great she is. We had McKenzie start helping us 3 months out from our wedding day. She took the stress of organizing vendors, tracking down rentals, setting everything up, staying on schedule, and tearing everything down off our plates. She always made me feel like I was the only bride she was working with and was quick to respond to all my questions and requests no matter how large or small. McKenzie is organized, thoughtful, hard-working and just fun to work with. I didn't worry about anything on our day and was able to enjoy every minute of it because of her!
Highly recommended!!! Madison did my day of services and she was great throughout the whole planning process. It made things much easier for me on the day of the wedding not having to worry about the details.

Five stars and a few words cannot encompass how amazing McKenzie Phillips truly is. As a full-service client, I spent the last year and half working with McKenzie to plan our perfect wedding. Hiring McKenzie means hiring a wealth of industry knowledge. She has the vendor relationships needed to hire the best team, she understands every minuscule detail needed on the day-of, and her wedding-planning packages include more services than most other planners in the KC market. Not only did McKenzie execute our wedding vision perfectly, but she helped us create it in the first place, and let me tell you...it was BEAUTIFUL. I was in law school during our engagement and knew I could be as hands-off as I needed to in the wedding-planning process because of my complete and utter trust in McKenzie. In addition to McKenzie's invaluable services, she personally is such a pleasure to be around. She is fun, calming, and genuinely wants to make your wedding day perfect. We hired McKenzie and her staff for day of coordination and it was worth ever penny!! McKenzie was SUPER organized and helped us with todos that we didn't even know we needed in the weeks leading up to the wedding. She thought of things that I had completely missed!

My fiance and I used McKenzie as a "day-of" coordinator and she went so far beyond day of help! She and her staff were amazing! I did not have a single stress the day of my wedding because I knew that McKenzie had it under control. The meetings we had prior to the wedding were also super helpful because McKenzie had check lists to make sure I was not forgetting anything. Finally, McKenzie gave me ideas for my wedding along with recommendations for vendors and rentals. I was so thrilled with everything that she did and I would use her again in a heart beat!

She met with my mom and I multiple times in the months leading up to the wedding, and was so attentive to every detail. She also is so on top of things, and gives off a calming, "I got this, don't worry!" vibe which as a stressed out bride I loved! Having McKenzie and Madison as our day of coordinators was the absolute best decision I made for our wedding! Leading up to the wedding McKenzie gave me advice and guidance, and helped me to create my dream wedding. A few weeks prior to the wedding Madison went with me to the final venue walk through and was so attentive to detail and asked questions I hadn't even considered. On the day of the wedding Madison was there early in the day and decorated our space, and was a rock for me that day. Through every step of the day I was reassured that Madison could take care of anything that came up and she saved me from dealing with the stress of all of the tiny details. She stayed late to clean up and load my parent's cars. I didn't hire McKenzie and her staff until about halfway through my wedding planning process, and my only regret is that I didn't hire her sooner. I would recommend McKenzie and her staff to anyone and I know that I owe my dream wedding to McKenzie and her support.

We hired McKenzie for her full service wedding coordination and it's been the best wedding planning choice we've made thus far. From our first phone call, I knew McKenzie was the right planner for us. She was enthusiastic, relatable, and beyond knowledgable. Compared to the other planners I interviewed, McKenzie seemed very dedicated from the start. She is completely on top of everything and has been incredibly organized. She made my life 100 times easier, whether it was connecting with vendors, helping track my budget and prioritize my duties. When I first hired her I got more done in the 4 weeks of hiring her than in the 4 months I tried planning on my own.
She made the planning process painless and organized. They day-of coordination was unparalleled. I received many compliments from guests and from the bridal party about McKenzie and her team. Isaac and I could not have been more thrilled with McKenzie's execution of our wedding. She crushed it! Isaac and I were able to soak in every moment of our wedding weekend because we were completely carefree throughout our ceremony and reception. Leading up to the wedding, she diligently mapped out every detail, contacted our vendors regarding final itinerary and last minute changes, and met with me several times. The day of, she and her two employees had everything covered! I cannot give McKenzie enough praise for the work she did with my wedding. We just got married on September 9th and McKenzie was a blessing the weeks leading up to it and for my wedding day. McKenzie is extremely prepared and very organized - which I appreciated as I was working off a spreadsheet for my wedding. When my husband and I met her, we clicked right away with how personable and enthusiastic she was. They day before my wedding I met her to give her everything we needed set up at the reception. McKenzie was always flexible with our meetings and reminded me time and time again that she is there for anything I need. She went above and beyond to make our venue beautiful and was extremely helpful with ensuring all vendors were doing their part. Her timeline was very detailed and helped me feel more comfortable to make sure our photographer would be around for all key events. McKenzie and her team were ready to take care of anything myself or my husband needed that day - and I cannot honestly thank her enough. She is a WONDERFUL wedding planner and I cannot emphasize enough how much you will appreciate having her included in your big day.

Amazing! The best! I can not say enough great things about McKenzie and her team. They will go above and beyond to make sure you have the absolute best day ever. There are many different packages to fit many different needs and budgets. They rentals are very affordable and great quality. McKenzie is extremely organized and made me feel so relaxed on our wedding day. There was so many little things that her and her team did behind the scenes to make our day perfect. McKenzie did a "bang up job" as my husband just said :) We had some shake ups with our venue two weeks before our wedding day and it added a ton of stress by changing most of my day of timeline and made it so I wasn't going to be able to be at the venue during set up. Luckily I had time to meet with McKenzie and explain to her what all I'd like to be done while I wasn't there and, sure enough, as I walked into the venue and down the aisle everything looked perfect. She kept the whole night moving as scheduled and made sure our clean up went off without a hitch. Anytime I had any little worry like, oh crap where are the dessert tongs!, she was right on it. Our whole wedding party and my mom had nothing but good things to say about McKenzie and I'm so happy she was there to be my day of coordinator.

If you are teetering on hiring a wedding coordinator or not, do yourself a huge favor ASAP and hire one and make sure it is McKenzie Phillips Events! Six months out from our wedding I buckled and decided this was an investment we had to do or I was going to lose my mind. Why would I try to do a profession that I knew nothing about? And why would I try to skimp on the execution of the most important day of my life?! If you have to cut costs somewhere else, do it so you can have confidence like I did throughout the last six months of my engagement. McKenzie literally made my wedding and reception perfect. She is a detail orientated person and is very, very good at her job. I highly recommend her for your wedding, a baby shower your throwing, even your dad's 60th birthday party! She does not disappoint! She made sure small details were taken care of like swapping out my huge bouquet for the wedding with a smaller bouquet for the reception ( I know this seems insignificant but its not when your wedding bouquet weighs 13 pounds), making sure 29 tables and their centerpieces were positioned perfectly, organizing ALL of the timing of events for the reception (THIS IS HUGE)! She responded to my text messages and emails immediately when I had questions or wanted to change something last minute . After perfecting what seemed like the perfect wedding and reception, (dj, cake cutting, catering, cocktail hour), she even gave my parents a ride to their destination along with all of our presents. She was a godsend. She went above and beyond for our wedding day in a few major ways: Coordinating with the vendors was a huge stress relief and she did this with ease. She had our dj and photographer on the same page so the night ran very smoothly. We had people tell us it was the most fun well orchestrated wedding and reception they had ever been to. We are a mid 30's couple so needless to say our friends and family are well seasoned with lots of weddings. I owe this girl the best review because she went above and beyond what our "contract" said and what my expectations were. She is very sharp, professional and more than experienced at her job. We paid $855 for her services. We already had a few things planned ourselves and didn't need EVERY service she provided so she made a package that suited our needs perfectly. She deserves a 100%Thanks McKenzie!!!!
Hiring McKenzie was the best decision we could have made for our wedding! We hired her as the "Day-of" coordinator and a couple extra services that she offers as add-ons. We were blown away by her level of involvement and her immense knowledge of all things wedding related. She came to our meetings completely prepared and incredibly organized. She thought of everything I would have missed, gave me great ideas on new ways to do things, and assured me that our day would be amazing and stress free! The day of, McKenzie and Alyssa arrived early at the venue, coordinated all the vendors’ arrivals and made sure everything was set up correctly! As the night went on, either Alyssa or McKenzie made sure to check in with us to see if we needed anything and to ensure we were having a good time. Not everything went as planned, but McKenzie was proactive in confronting any issue and resolving it quickly. Other than McKenzie and myself, no one would have known there was ever an issue. We were able to leave the venue feeling completely confident that McKenzie was in charge. I would and have recommended her to anyone getting married! We couldn’t have had such a stress free and amazing wedding without her.
5 stars are not enough to give McKenzie! We cannot begin to thank her enough for all the hard work she put into ensuring our day was all we had dreamed of and more.
We hired McKenzie for her day-of coordination services, but what we got was that and SO much more. From phone meetings / touch bases, to in-person meetings, rehearsal day, and wedding day, she brought her A+ game. There was not anything she said she WOULDN'T do - which we very much appreciated. We had a unique circumstance where we had to move our wedding up a few months sooner than originally planned, and McKenzie jumped right in. I'm probably forgetting a TON of things she helped do (because she did just that much), but here's a sample:
- The week-of, she took a major stressor off my plate and followed up with vendors on arrival times and other important details. And if you have an unresponsive vendor, don't worry. She's not afraid to call and call until she gets an answer.
- She crafted a heavily detailed schedule for rehearsal day and wedding day - it helped keep everyone in line and see all the plans laid out, altogether.
- She stayed at the venue while the wedding party left for rehearsal dinner to prep the space, finalize DIY materials, etc. so we could enjoy our time with family and friends.
- On wedding day, she arrived at 10:30 a.m. and brought over food for the bridal party to enjoy (not to mention a beautiful bouquet of flowers, which was absolutely, wonderfully unexpected!), handled last-minute requests, set table linens and decor pieces, and kept us on schedule throughout the day's festivities of getting ready and vendors arriving.
- Kept a check on the weather as it was scheduled to rain after the ceremony, so she moved up the timeline to help us squeeze in major events (first dance, etc.) before the rain arrived.
- Stayed at the venue until 11 p.m. and moved gifts, cards, other rentals/decor pieces inside as we had to return some rentals the next day. She even removed all of the accessories from those rentals (flowers, candles) so we didn't have to stress about it that night / the next morning.
All in all, she (and her staff member Donna) really just made our wedding day a breeze! Some of the other vendors had mentioned to me that day that I seemed like one of the most "calm" brides they'd ever worked with, and for that, I have McKenzie to thank. If you're looking for wedding planning services, whether day-of or the total package, look to McKenzie! She's hard-working, EXTREMELY organized, determined, thoughtful, detail-oriented, and an absolute pleasure to work with. I will forever be thankful for her and consider her not just a wedding vendor, but a friend!
