We used Erin and her team for our large multicultural wedding and it was the best decision we made in our planning! She was able to work with two opinionated families with very different backgrounds and beautifully designed and executed a wedding weekend beyond our wildest expectations. We had multiple events throughout the weekend that she created such stunning visuals for our guests that made each event feel unique while at the same time super cohesive. They were on top of every detail logistically, even getting my father a second pair of shoes the morning of the wedding :) Do yourself a favor and avoid all the wedding related stress and hire Erin and McLean Events.

I was highly interested in her wedding planning services and messaged her twice and never heard back. Not sure if my date was already booked on her calendar or what but would have appreciated hearing back regardless! Her work does look beautiful though from what I’ve seen via social media.

My wife and I originally hired Erin from McLean events for our wedding. From the start there were warning flags: she kept telling us "no" to things that were must-haves and seemed very reasonable. She never met with me in person even though I was in the area. She did not seem to care about what my wife and I wanted for our vision of our wedding and instead tried to force her own vision on her. When we tried to give her constructive criticism/feedback on how we felt we weren't being listened to, she became very defensive, refused to take any ownership for her mistakes, and most importantly, didn't make any efforts to do things differently. Three months before our wedding she had not yet booked a single vendor, so my wife again gave her very thoughtful, gentle feedback via email. Not only did Erin again become defensive, but she decided to "gracefully bow out" of planning our wedding via her email reply. No phone call, no in person meeting to discuss. What's more, she did not refund a single dime of the very large deposit we had paid her. Bear in mind she had still not booked a single vendor, and had done very little actual work. From reading our contract, she appears to be in breach because she did not take the required steps it mentions before ending the contract. We ended up going with another wedding planner who came in and saved the day with very little time. He booked more vendors in one week than Erin had in the months she was "working" for us. I advise anyone who doesn't want to be left high and dry just a couple months prior to your big day to stay far away from McLean Events.

Carrington and Betsy at McLean Events were our wedding planning saviors - there is no way our wedding would have even happened without them, let alone be as amazing and beautiful as it was. They helped us out with every step of the process and solved all our crises (especially those that happened day-of!) so that I could relax and actually enjoy my own wedding. If you are on the fence about hiring a wedding planner, go with McLean Events and you won't regret it. We cannot thank them enough!

It has taken me almost 5 months to write this review because I simply don't know where to begin. We owe everything to the true MAGIC of Mclean Events. From day 1 they were incredibly professionally, warm and inviting for what can be a very overwhelming process. We chose to work with Carrington as she had done one of our closest friend's wedding and we loved her style. She gave us direction and kept us organized but always ensured that our own personal style showed through everything. The year and half that we worked with her was a true pleasure and communication was more than great. Cut to the big day - we were BLOWN AWAY. We of course knew what we had selected and had an idea of what to expect but it was beyond our wildest dreams. It was truly a magical fairytale that I wish I could relive everyday. To this day, our #1 advice is INVEST IN A WEDDING PLANNER, not just day of coordinator. Yes, it comes with a cost but they will keep you on budget, steer you away from unnecessary expenses, give you the best vendors to work with and ultimately help you throw the best party ever. I cannot say enough good things about this group of women and I wish I could get married every year just to see what other magic they could draw up for me next.

Erin totally saved our wedding! We were left without a wedding planner three weeks prior to our wedding weekend. Erin stepped in without hesitation and made it so my husband and I truly had the best weekend! Erin told us we should feel like a guest at our wedding and we definitely did! I would suggested hiring McLean events to anyone looking for a wedding planner.

I can't even begin to describe how wonderful Erin and her entire team are! We had the pleasure of working with Carrington for day of coordinating and last minute details the few months before our big day. I can definitely say that I wish I had met and hired her at the beginning of our planning process. Carrington made sure that everything for our wedding was perfect. She very adeptly handled all of my (seemingly millions of) questions, as well as quelled any and all anxiety from me and my mom leading up to the day. The team's well established relationships with area vendors made sure that everything ran smoothly and there was nothing for me to worry about the day of. Not only are the expertise and professionalism of the entire team more than worth your investment, but Carrington (and the rest of the team!) are actually the most genuine, kind, and sweet group of people I have ever had the pleasure of working with. I had the BEST experience with Erin McLean Events and Carrington Clevenger Buck!!! I worked with them for a year and a half planning my wedding from another state and they were incredible from the beginning. Carrington and I frequently had calls and meetings to ensure that my wedding dream came true and every single detail was absolutely perfect. Additionally, Carrington had creative and fun ideas to make the wedding unique and customized to us as a couple. Not once did I stress the weeks leading up to my wedding about details as Carrington and Erin handled everything. As a result, I was able to completely enjoy my time with friends and family stress-free. There are so many good things to say about Erin McLean Events. Working with Carrington made the whole planning process so easy. Our wedding party and guests were amazed with how smoothly everything went, and my husband and I attribute that to Carrington and her attention to detail! I wish I could give Erin, Carrington, and their entire team a thousand stars because five is not enough. I am still overwhelmed by how incredible our wedding day was and it was all because of the incredible EME team who guided us through every step. The ceremony and transportation flowed flawlessly, the reception was stunning, the flowers were perfect...everyone was on cloud nine the entire night. As someone who values organization over everything else, their incredibly meticulous planning strategies were amazing - we had detailed timelines, guest list spreadsheets, and vendor/contract tracking lists that made us feel stress free (seriously, no stress at all) for the entire year we planned with them. Beyond their obvious expertise in wedding planning, Erin and Carrington made me, my husband, and our families feel so comfortable and cared for. Carrington might be the most selfless person in the world - our wedding was on her birthday and she had a smile from ear to the ear even though she had to spend the entire day working! They also seamlessly handled a last minute seating chart change and the result was nothing less than stunning. They helped us make the day exactly what we wanted, but it turned out even better than we ever could have imagined. They are just the most fabulous people to have with you on the happiest day of your life.

I had the joy of being a MOB for a wedding this past spring. Hiring Erin McLean Events was the best planning decision we made. I was truly able to enjoy the wedding planning process. Working with Erin on the design was so much fun and felt like a dream. My daughter and I enjoyed every moment of planning with this dynamic and creative team.

We worked with Carrington of Erin McLean Events for our July wedding, and couldn't have been happier with her. She was instrumental in helping us book vendors, create timelines, and keeping us all organized throughout the entire process. We did not have to think about a thing the week and day of the wedding; she had it all handled. Carrington was always responsive, thoughtful in making recommendations, and her calm demeanor made our planning process a breeze! I could never say enough positive things about Erin McLean Events to do justice to the amazing work that this team does. I received an excellent wedding from top to bottom from them. They are such visionaries and have connections to a lot of local vendors to make a beautiful wedding. Erin and Carrington designed the most beautiful ceremony at Fearrington that I have ever seen, and truly went above and beyond in that realm. What I was even more impressed with, however, is how amazing they were to work with. I did not get married under the easiest of circumstances - Hurricane Matthew rolled into town on my wedding day, ruining my plans for an outdoor ceremony. This didn't stop Erin, Carrington, or Betsy - they created a stunning indoor ceremony that was unlike anything I could have dreamed of. They spent all day getting soaked from head to toe, literally, to put together a ceremony fit to be in a magazine. The best part was that they were happy to do it, and never made me feel at all like I was asking for too much. I've never seen kinder faces or bigger smiles. It is clear that they love their brides and they love their jobs. I was blown away at their positive spirits, love of their work, and at how efficient they were with every piece of the wedding. They were so on top of everything, I didn't have to worry about anything at all. Everything from centerpieces to my hair that kept falling down was immediately handled before I realized it was time! I cannot express how grateful I am that I hired Erin to help me with my wedding. I am so glad that I did, and would do it all over again in a heartbeat. There is truly no one kinder, and no one more talented. My heart is full of love for this team.

Carrington is a dream come true for anyone planning a wedding! I have a very demanding job, and was trying to plan a wedding 2.5 hours away from where I live. It was difficult finding time to meet with vendors, schedule fittings, etc. Carrington went above and beyond to assist with this process. Somehow, she was able to line up several appointments on a Saturday -- a day that most vendors do not meet with clients because they're focused on that day's event. On the day of my wedding, I was able to fully enjoy being with my bridesmaids because I knew Carrington had the set-up process completely under control. If you are looking to hire a wedding planner, Carrington is your girl!

Nicole was a life saver. I almost made the mistake of not hiring a professional day-of wedding coordinator. Nicole swept in less than a month before my big day and tied up all loose ends with professionalism and spirit. Not to mention day-of my wedding was flawless thanks to Nicole. One of the best vendor decisions I made. Nicole is sweet, fun and top notch!

I don't think I could say enough amazing reviews about Carrington with Erin McLean Events! She truly made my dreams come true! From the moment I met her, she made sure that we knew THE day was about my now husband and I, and she would take care of the rest. And she did just that! She took so much stress off, not only myself but my mom as well! She was there for us, kept in great touch with us, and answered my millions (!!!) of emails and even my 3am text the morning of my wedding! She is not only the sweetest person ever but also extremely personable (which I feel like is a must when planning the day that you have dreamed about since you were a little girl!). Carrington is also very attentive and made sure everything went as we talked about. It was like a breath of fresh air and we were honored to have Carrington to take such great care of us!!!! HIGHLY recommend!

Erin and I went to high school together and since we both ended up living in the Raleigh area, she was the first person I reached out to about wedding planning. We exchanged emails and phone calls before decide what aspect of their planning services would work best for us. We chose the "weekend of" coordination. Carrington was our assigned planner and she reached out to us. She was willing to meet on weekends and after hours due to our schedule with work and our 3 year old daughter. We had multiple phone calls and face to face meetings and while she did not design our wedding she was very helpful in where I should focus and where it wasn't as necessary. I dropped off car loads of centerpieces and ceremony decor to her office the week of the wedding. While I was glad to have it out of my house it is nerve wracking to spend all this time on something and hope you've done a good enough job conveying your thoughts so someone else would make it happen. AND SHE DID!! The ceremony was exactly how I envisioned it, the centerpieces came together beautifully, and Carrington was on top of making sure everyone was where they needed to be. I had compliments from family about her organization and personal way of dealing with the chaos of the rehearsal and wedding day. Guests complimented us on how smoothly things ran and how there weren't any gaps throughout our transition times. We came back from our honeymoon to a hand drawn and water color painting of my bouquet with a beautiful card from her. It's sweet touches like that that make working with Erin and Carrington such a pleasure. It was money well spent and we would do it again a thousand times over.

My experience with Erin Mclean Events was excellent from start to finish. I had the pleasure of working with Nicole Goodrich and her attention to detail, fantastic energy, and creative problem-solving skills are the makings of a true wedding planner. She will think of anything you haven't, and she's great to bounce ideas off of in the planning process. She is always quick to respond to emails and on the day of the wedding she was extremely quick and efficient and seemingly on top of every detail. I also worked with Carrington in the beginning of planning stages and I would have been just as confident working with her. She was very warm, organized, and creative. I only met with Erin briefly but she was lovely as well. She is running a truly top-notch events plannin company.

We worked with Emily for the day-of coordination of our wedding. She was absolutely wonderful to work with. We met with her twice before the wedding and also emailed with her several times. She was extremely professional, responsive, and friendly. On the day of the wedding, she ensured that everything went off without a hitch. She also had great relationships with most of our other vendors, so it was really easy to coordinate. She clearly knew what she was doing and seemed to have fun doing it. We really loved working with Emily!

I think this was the best money spent on the wedding. My husband was initially skeptical of hiring a wedding coordinator, but I knew it would make me less stressed. Emily is organized, professional, and keeps makes sure everyone is doing what they're supposed to be doing when they're supposed to be doing it. She's also good as having a feel for the flow of the wedding during the event and adjusting the timeline accordingly, if necessary. The transitions were seamless, and it was great to know that she was in charge of making sure the vendors arrived and contacting with any last-minute changes and situations. She gave my parents and me peace of mind about the wedding, and we didn't have to rush around during the last few days because she had everything under control! Also, our venue, Bay 7, said they provided a coordinator and we were initially told that the coordinator and Emily would be doing the same job, but we went ahead and hired her anyway. It was the right choice. There are some parts of their jobs that overlap, but not everything does. They worked together very nicely and we knew that everything was covered.

I probably would not have hired a wedding coordinator myself, but it's part of the service at The Carolina Inn. And I am so so glad that Tia was there to run things! Everything went so smoothly, she really know what she's doing -- and how to wrangle giddy wedding parties! Meeting with her before the wedding was valuable as well, she had lots of good ideas.

I could honestly not imagine what it would have been like to plan my wedding without Erin. She was so helpful in guiding me in the selection of great vendors, helped turn my vague vision into something beautiful, and just made it fun! She is so worth every penny! I also worked with her team througout the planning. They were all super professional and super helpful. Hire Erin McLean Events!

Erin was amazing! She took my very vague vision and created a more beautiful wedding than I ever could have imagined. She helped me with every design decision and gave me great recommendations for my vendor choices. Erin even took care of translating my likes and dislikes to the various vendors. I felt so relaxed the whole wedding weekend thanks to knowing that Erin was taking care of all the last minute details and would be there to handle anything that might happen on the wedding day. Erin was so good at talking me through the whole process as well. She was so positive and encouraging about everything and she was always able to let me know that the planning was on track- which decreased my stress level immensely. I very highly recommend Erin to anyone looking for a wedding planner- I cannot say enough about how wonderful she was to work with!

The biggest thing we were looking for was day-of and weekend-of support, and to have someone onsite at the reception to make sure things went smoothly. Erin was a LIFESAVER the wedding weekend, saving us from several situations that could have ended badly were she not there. The most amazing thing was her reception coordination. Having a party on a Battleship deck, outside, with a band, full catering and table seating was no small task. And, it rained. She helped coordinate getting the tables and tents re-arranged on the deck to accomodate the last-minute weather. The tables were beautiful and every last detail was taken care of. It didn't stop there... somehow she got everything we wanted to take with us packed up and in vehicles in NO time. After the event, I found our toasting flutes (which I was sure were lost) cleaned and neatly packed in our crates. Amazing!

Erin McLean is not just someone you work with to plan your wedding; she also becomes your friend. Erin’s level of professionalism is by far what you remember most about her but it’s because of her style, poise, personality, and demeanor that makes working with her a dream to any bride to be. Erin took all the infamous “stress” that all brides are afraid they will experience the day of their wedding away from not only me, the bride, buy my mom as well. Planning a wedding is a stressful job for any bride, but working with Erin makes it a breeze and all of that “stress” is obsolete. The day of my wedding I was never once contacted by any of my vendors because Erin ensures that your DAY is all about you and she handles all of the details. And by details, I mean everything. I walked into my wedding venue with the biggest smile on my face. Not only because I had a pretty cute husband on my arm but because of the amazing job Erin did with ensuring all of my thoughts and ideas that I had in a notebook came to life. I could not have imagined my wedding day without Erin being a part of it. It was the best day of my life and I owe a lot of that to Erin! She made sure Will and I were able to sit down and enjoy our food (wedding’s make you hungry), I danced with my father for our song, the champagne was given to Will and I before the toasts, and that I was ok. There were so many other details I could list to let you know what an amazing experience it is to work with Erin, but just know, that when you hire Erin and her team for your wedding day, it will truly be the best day of your life and your guests will walk away saying, “Gosh, what a great wedding!” And when they say that, you will nod your head and know that the secret to that perfect day was Erin McLean Events!

When my fiancé and I started to plan our wedding, I quickly began to stress out over the large task list we would have to wade through over the next 11 months. To add to the stress factor, we decided to have a destination wedding, located 200 miles away. To lower the stress level and make sure everything got done, we decided to hire a wedding planner. The minute we spoke to Erin, we knew she would be extremely helpful, organized and easy to work with. We hired Erin immediately and felt confident we had made a good choice. When it came time to select the venue, caterer, florist, DJ, etc, Erin did an excellent job of taking in our personal style and desires, then providing her top picks for vendors we would be interested in. She has a very intuitive characteristic about her and each time she presented vendor options, her selections were right on point with our tastes. We thought we would have trouble finding a savvy DJ in such a non-cosmopolitan area, but the first DJ Erin found for us could easily spin records in some of the chicest clubs in any big city. Erin worked closely with our caterer to make sure the food was of the highest quality, yet stayed in our budget. All of our guests raved about the food! Leading up to the wedding week, Erin was a godsend. She not only kept the bride sane, but took care of everything--including making appointments for the bridesmaids to go to the spa and helping the groom’s parents plan the rehearsal dinner. On the day of the wedding, Erin and her assistant, Lacey, worked very hard to ensure everything ran smoothly. If any issue ever came up, Erin proactively addressed the task at hand. She was always there to answer questions, give advice and responded to calls and emails quickly from afar. Erin decorated the reception venue with impeccable taste and our personal style--it was even better than we had envisioned. During the reception, she made sure that everything was taken care of, which let us feel like guests at our own wedding. This allowed us to visit with all of our friends and family, dance as much as we wanted to and take in the whole evening. We were stress-free and enjoyed the time with our family and friends. Everything ran seamlessly and our guests remarked that they had a great time. Our only complaint was that it had to end. All of our guests were blown away with the wedding and wanted to meet Erin. Wow, wow, wow. I was completely wowed by Erin’s attention to detail, professionalism, and overall management of my rehearsal and wedding day. After planning much of the wedding, I knew that there were many “day of” wedding details that needed attention, attention of which I knew I couldn’t give on the wedding day. I found Erin through many other referrals, talked with her about my wedding schedule and how I needed her help. Erin assembled a detailed timeline of the day’s events, worked with every other vendor for precise timing and details, and followed up with me to let me know that everything was taken care of. Erin has a great approach of making sure the bride is fully taken care of and if anything goes wrong the bride would never know. I really appreciated this as nervousness set in on the wedding day, it was great to know that everything was being taken care of by Erin. Would highly recommend!
