McMenamins Anderson School made our day perfect by hosting an excellent welcome party. They were incredibly easy to work with, and our guests appreciated the convenient location of the hotel. Their service and accommodations set the perfect tone for our wedding celebrations, ensuring our out-of-town guests felt comfortable and welcomed.
So, first off, we chose mcmenamins because it has a special place in my heart. I have been going to their pubs for the last 37 years. My fiancee loved the connection to me, and we loved their INCREDIBLE value! Honestly, the minimum is the price of JUST a venue in the immediate area. On top of that, they have so many of the vendors and options already figured out for you that you only have to worry about HALF of the normal to-do list items when planning your wedding.
Seriously, I went into this thinking... yeah it's my wedding... it'll be fine...
I ended that night more in love with my wife than I was when I started the day. If I had dreamed of my wedding, I can tell you confidently that this exceeded anything I could have dreamed up!
Laura was our contact and she helped us all throughout the process. She was very responsive and worked to get us what we needed when we needed it. The rehearsal is not guaranteed but she found a good time for us to do it. What drew us to this venue is there is no venue fee if you hit the catering minimum of $10,000, which we hit with a wedding for 180 people. Haynes Hall was a great location on site because it allowed us to be flexible with the weather, which we needed since it rained. We used a king plus room as a getting ready space which worked nicely for the most part. We were able to fit in 3 hair and makeup people as well as letting the rest of the bridal party hang out. The food we excellent and so was the service. People could have as much fun as they wanted because a lot of our guests stayed on site. We rented the patio at Nui Nui out the night before for a space for everyone staying there to get together. This was a great option. We were also able to get a room the morning after for about 20 people to have breakfast. They were very accommodating and I would highly recommend this a wedding venue. They provide all of the linens, table settings, etc so I didn't have to worry about that part of it either. It was all set up when we gained access to the space, which you get for 12 hours.
We are SO glad we chose McMenamins Anderson School for our wedding ceremony and reception. Everyone that we interacted with from McMenamins, from the event coordinators to the bartenders to the hotel staff were all incredibly helpful and professional. The team knows how to put on an event, and every detail the day-of was executed exactly as we planned. They made the wedding planning process so easy! We also received many compliments from wedding guests afterwards who appreciated the convenience of being able to stay on-site and the uniqueness of the venue.
Jennifer at McMenamins Anderson School House was so helpful in organizing our wedding in Haynes Hall & Square. The tables, chairs, linens, wait staff, and planning were all included with the cost of meeting the minimum for food and drink catering. What a deal!
We went to McMinnamins for our rehearsal dinner. Booking was easy and the service was great. We had 25 people. Drinks and food didn't take long at all. They put us in a side room so we felt like everyone could chat and hangout.
My husband and I eloped earlier this summer at McMenamin's Anderson School, specifically their Haynes' Square venue. Laura helped us plan each detail (linens, table arrangements, catering menu, agenda, etc.) and made the whole process very easy and stress free. She also helped us ensured we were taking proper safety precautions with our table set up and seating. The ceremony itself went great, the service was top notch. Laura helped us keep on agenda, all the servers were very prompt and personable. All staff observed safety guidelines and wore proper masks. Some of my family stayed at the hotel and they really enjoyed their stay. Also, I think we got a great value for what we payed for. I would highly recommend McMenamins for your small wedding or any events really!
This venue was not only beautiful and had amazing food, but the whole wedding staff was so hospitable, kind, organized, and professional.
They had all the little details down to a T which helped relieve any stress I had going into my wedding day.
They were sure to ensure the health and safety if our guests and other customers on the premises.
The bartender that hid me before I walked down aisle made sure I wasn't nervous.
All around amazing experience, even given all the restirctions. Would absolutely do this again!
We hosted our rehearsal dinner at McMenamins in the courtyard and it was such a lovely experience. The staff took all the correct Covid precautions, the food was excellent and our gusts felt safe and welcomed. it was fun to have access to fire pits, to be outside and "a part" of things while still having a relatively private space. There are lots of cool other rooms and spots for you to host your events though. I've been to other events at this location and have enjoyed the service each time. Great place to host your rehearsal dinner, small wedding or other event.
McMenamins Anderson School was a beautiful location that checked every box--- Space? Check! Rooms to get ready? Check! Proximity to ferry, Seatac and Seattle? Check! In house catering? Check! Wonderful staff? Check!
McMenamins will give you a staff member that will coordinate your event with you from beginning to end. Jennifer communicated with us often and made sure we were taken care of. The staff was more than accommodating and helpful. The food was delicious! and the drinks were the best!
