I loved having my reception here this past weekend. The staff were very helpful and accommodating to me, and the colorful modern feel really added the personality we needed to match our relationship for our guests. I got many compliments regarding how beautiful and cute this venue was, and it was also decently priced when compared with other venues around town. They were one of the cheapest options that allowed us to have both in outdoor ceremony and indoor reception on site. If you are looking for an intimate, modern, wine accommodating venue for a smaller guest list and for a cheaper price, check them out!
Such an amazing venue! Beautiful inside and out with the most helpful staff you could ever imagine. You will not regret booking this place!!!!!!
I could not have been more please with Candice and everyone else involved! They made our day so perfect and made everything flow so smoothly! I could go on and on about how beautiful the venue you is and how they are willing to help you with every little detail. Thank you so much for everything you guys did for us!
Gorgeous place with the best service! I had the most amazing time there; a night I won't forget! I would recommend it to anyone anyday. If you're in West Texas, check it out!
McPherson Cellars is an absolutely stunning venue! The staff was exceptionally welcoming and friendly which made for an overall pleasant and memorable experience.
McPherson Cellars is THE best winery in West, Texas! Such a cute venue and nothing but extraordinary service!!!
I had my wedding here on the 25th of July, and it went flawlessly, and for a pretty stressful day, i was very grateful. I was very impressed with not only the event coordinator, Candice, whom is always just a email or a call away, but also her staff! They were very helpful and incredibly nice! everyone was extremely impressed with the venue and how amazing the reception was. I would recommend this venue to anyone!
I had my wedding at this winery on 4/25/15. They exceeded my expectations! Everyone was so friendly, and the day went off without a hitch. Everything from the courtyards to the bathrooms was clean, and I love the contemporary/eclectic feel. I have been to other weddings at other wineries in Lubbock, and I would choose McPherson over the others 100 times over. The day was emotional for me, as my dad was killed in a car accident 6 weeks before my wedding. The staff at McPherson were so sweet about it. They sent me two bottles of wine with a sweet card to express their condolences, and one of their staff members cried the night of the wedding when talking about it. They are good people with a great place, and they are very organized and easy to deal with. I highly recommend!
Having my wedding at McPherson Cellars is the best decision we made when planning the wedding.
From the very beginning of the process, we felt welcomed by the staff and genuine excitement from them talking about the big day.
One of the great things about the venue is that they allow you to choose your own caterer. If you aren't sure what you want for food, they do have a list of great vendors they frequently use, but you are not bound to that list.
Originally, I wanted an outdoor ceremony on their patio but due to a larger guest list, we switched the ceremony and reception indoors. For the reception, we utilized indoor and outdoor, placing the wine and beer on the patio, which helped the flow of traffic and freed up the food tables.
In the moments of taking pictures and getting family corralled, the staff was efficient in flipping the room and opening up the dance floor. We were told they have it down to a science, and they weren't kidding. Thanks to them and having taken so many photos prior to the ceremony, dinner started on time and the whole evening's timeline flowed very well.
Candice was easy to work with throughout the planning process. She had everything set up exactly as we wanted and was super attentive and helpful throughout the day as we "moved in" and set up.
From the very beginning, we wanted a great dance party and just a fun party experience overall. That was exactly what we had. Our guests loved it and thought it was a unique and comfortable venue. It fit our style completely and was absolutely a great party and unforgettable wedding day!
McPherson's did an excellent job with my wedding. The whole staff was so nice and made sure to take care of everything I needed. I recommend this venue to anyone. Candice did an amazing job and has a great personality. Very easy to work with.
We used McPherson's for our ceremony and reception. We were very happy and everything turned out beautifully. Candice was easy to work with, and took great care of us on our wedding day.
We had our wedding in the courtyard and reception inside. I was so worried things would go wrong, but it all turned out to be so great!
As a side note: If you're in need of an oven in the kitchen, there isn't one as of now.
I had my wedding there a few weeks ago. The ultra-watt lights in the bridal room made the room extremely hot- sweating while you're getting ready is not ideal. The staff turned the water on to fill up the fountain after the ceremony and forgot to turn it off- it OVERFLOWED into the floor causing a huge mess during the reception (right under the food table). Mops and loud floor cleaners during food service is also not ideal. Their sound adapter shorted out right in the middle of the father/daughter dance, and even after they switched out a second adapter, it continued to short out the entire night. They served the wrong wine at the reception. And to top it off, they have completely blamed every mishap on me and the wedding guests. Kristen was really great during the planning period. Susan Sexton (the general manager) was as UNpleasant as they come. She brought up "lawsuit" the moment I tried to recieve some resolution for their imprudence. You do not want to deal with such a nightmare during what should be the most joyful time of your life. I highly recommend looking at other venues before choosing McPherson Cellars. Such a horrible experience.
I had a great experience. Kristen was super helpful. Everything went very smooth and was super easy. The price was excellent. The venue is beautiful. I would use McPherson again.
Absolutely beautiful venue. It's fun and modern and very original, unlike any other place near Lubbock. The courtyard is fantastic. There is a built in sound system for th DIY couples, like us, & it sounds great and is easy to operate. the wine is delicious. The employees are pleasant and nice to work with. My only complaint is that you can only get in 4 hours prior to your event, which is plenty considering you don't have to decorate much. However, they were still "open" to the public, so while taking pics and getting ready there were several strangers watching us and drinking.
We used this facility for our wedding reception and it was just magical. It is such a beautiful facility. We did run into a small problem with the staffing, but overall it was a great evening. Very affordable as well!!
McPherson Cellars was the perfect place for our vintage/country wedding and reception. We did the ceremony there and then did the reception. Along the way...the staff was amazing and very helpful in deciding where things should go, etc. They were truly there for US and we could not thank them enough. Beautiful facility, great courtyard, and great staff. The only negative I have is that there is not enough parking. Most people parked on the street because there is only one owned SMALL McPherson lot. Overall....fantastic value for the service.
The staff was very helpful, the venue is beautiful, and had a wonderful layout for a wedding. Although not suited for a huge wedding, even with close to 200 people is felt personal and welcoming. Loved it!
