Unprofessional. I see they had some great reviews so I wanted to give them a chance. Unfortunately, I think it was very unprofessional to have a phone call with someone speaking about the vision of your wedding and then never hearing back from them again. They were supposed to contact me within 2 weeks with a quote estimate for flowers and design and they never did. I contacted both Brian and the coordinator who I reached from the Knot and they still never contacted me. Its been 2 months. As a bride and planning a wedding can be very stressful. I would have appreciated some type of response even if it was to tell me they are extremely busy or they simply will not do my wedding. Anything would have been nice.
Our wedding was on New Year's Eve at the Radisson - we had a very specific vision for our special day and John & Brian hit the nail on the head, playing a huge part in making our day absolutely perfect. They were great to work with - attentive, professional, friendly and kept a strong line of communication with us. Our tablescape, dance floor and pipe & drape were stunning and tied the whole room together!

Disrespectful and unprofessional. My partner and I contacted them for our wedding flowers. After our call we waited weeks for them to contact us with prices for what we asked. We texted them after a while and they never answered.
From our initial meeting and throughout COVID changes, MCR's team was by our side. Their professionalism, patience, and talent are unmatched. They are truly visionaries who listened to our ideas, our budget, and provided thoughtful, beautiful ideas for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. We could not be happier with the services provided and would recommend this team without hesitation.
MCR could not have been better to us. They completely transformed our venue - Penns Peak - so much so that it was almost unrecognizable. I remember getting to the Peak early as me and my groomsmen were getting ready there. I walked in and was blown away by the design. Brian put together the flower and table arrangement and John handled our lighting. We, on numerous occasions, changed things, suggested new ideas. They were so easy to work with. We would 10/10 work with MCR and their team again. Thank you Brian and John!
The floral, decor, and cafe bulb lighting all looked beautiful. We ordered a large amount of floral including some larger pieces. The floral really came out better than I even imagined it would. We received so many compliments on the bouquets specifically.
I would have given this vendor a much higher rating because I was so pleased with he service. However, I cannot ignore and must advise that they were initially very slow to respond and took 2 and half months to get me an invoice. This was very stressful and caused me to question if they would deliver, which is not a good feeling while trying to plan a wedding. They did advise that they were slammed with all the covid weddings working sometimes 18 hour days. I'm human and I feel for them. The timing also corresponded with other reviews in the past year where people expressed issues with response time.
I will say though they got more responsive as the date got closer and wedding season slowed down. I would ultimately recommend you hire them, but I do hope they hire some more staff themselves to help them for 2022.
Ultimately I huge thank you to Brian and the team for their hard work and bringing our wedding vision to life. We had an amazing night.
I had hired MCR originally for linens and table settings based on my planners recommendation. I had already secured a florist. A couple of weeks before my wedding my florist was unable to fulfil their commitment. MCR came to the rescue. I sent them some photos of what I was thinking and set my expectations pretty low given how little time they had. They completely nailed it. The arbor was insanely beautiful. Bouquets were perfect. Everything was perfect. You would have thought that we spent months going over every detail. I have no idea how they did it, but I am beyond grateful. I can't thank you enough.
I could not thank MCR enough, especially Brian, who truly brought my vaguely explained vision to life! Brian worked hand and hand with me and my mom to make sure everything is perfect for this day. I absolutely loved how even if there was the tiniest issue or inconvenience, Brian personally would call and reach out to me with a plan and had it completely resolved. MCR provided the centerpieces, bouquet and floral arrangements for the bridal party, and other floral for my ceremony and cocktail hour. I can truly not express that initial feeling when I walked into my venue and saw how breathtaking everything looked! Thank you MCR for making our special day such a dream come true!
I'll sum this up for you now... BOOK THEM. MCR did pretty much EVERYTHING for my wedding. From decor/flowers to photographer, videographer, farm tables and chairs! To say they are amazing is an understatement. They were very responsive through emails, and John and Brian were AMAZING to work with. (Made some last minute changes for me without hesitation) Did I mention all of that was wrapped in one payment? I did not have to worry about 5 deposits.. just 1! I can't tell you how many compliments I received for my wedding, and I owe it all to them. It was worth EVERY penny. I can also relive every moment through my beautiful wedding photos and videos. This crew is awesome! So much love to them! Xo
MCR was our one-stop shop for table decor and place settings, DJ, and floral design. I have no other words than they completely knocked it out of the park. They had a beautiful venue to work with, but they enhanced its beauty and made it look like a dream. Every step of the way was a breeze- our consultation with Brian was amazing, as he had some ideas laid out, and took our feedback into consideration. They worked with my many pinterest boards and really understood the vibe we wanted, but made it personal to us. They made me a floral headpiece and it was stunning- I felt like a princess all day long. Lastly, they assigned DJ Marquis, and he was also amazing to work with. The team they have put together over at MCR are competent, professional, fun, kind, amazing, and I couldn't recommend them more to make your big day that much more special!
Truly the greatest people you will ever meet. If you have a vision/idea for your wedding day & it is possible John & Brian will make it happen for you. My husband & I planned a wedding during COVID & without John & Brian of MCR our wedding would not have happened. John went above & beyond to make us feel confident in our wedding day despite every thing happening around us & in finding an emergency alternate wedding venue that was outdoors. John Phillips & MCR are amazing & their work is 110%. If you need someone you know you can count on for your wedding day it is absolutely John & his team!

So, we started planning our wedding before Covid was even a blip on the radar. We were supposed to have our wedding at Woodloch Pines (and it was from their suggested vendor list, that we found MCR).
From the beginning, our wedding was going to be weird and untraditional. We wanted to get married on Halloween. I wanted a haunted forest theme. (Like a moody, glowing blue/green Lothlórien forest from Lord of the Rings.)
And spoiler alert, they NAILED it!
But what blows me away the most, is how both John and Brian quite literally moved heaven and earth to make sure our wedding was beautiful despite these turbulent times.
Due to Covid, our venue changed THREE TIMES! We jumped from Woodloch, PA - to a garden in Queens, NY - To finally, a venue in Long Island that was able to safely accommodate 50 guests.
I was NOT satisfied with any local NY decorators. They paled in comparison to what I have seen from MCR. I knew the wedding would be a flop if I went with a new decorator. Not only did Brian "get" my vision, but we had already spent hours on Zoom meetings with John, who was an absolute delight to work with. He said to us, multiple times: "whatever you need, we'll take care of it." He really was the most calming presence in our stormy sea of planning chaos.
NOTHING that happened on our end seemed to ruffle MCR's feathers. They rolled with every punch, practically unfazed. They stuck with us through everything. They worked with all our venue changes and budget changes. They are so professional, so prepared, and SO GOOD!
You could probably ask MCR to decorate your event on top of an active volcano and they would pull it off and make it GORGEOUS!
Our wedding guests were in awe when they walked into the main ballroom. It was straight out of a fantasy film. It could not have been more perfect. I also got so many compliments on my bouquet (which was moody, not too flowery- kind of spooky, but still beautiful!!)
We tasked MCR with setting up a lot of our own DIY decorations too. (We bought our own pumpkins and glass jars to use for candle votives) and they made everything look as if it belonged there.
My "dream" was to feel like an elf/fairy queen in an enchanted forest, and it was 110% achieved!
And I know that no matter the venue, no matter the date, no matter what pandemic is going on in the world- MCR can make your dream come to life.
I wish I could married all over again, just to be in the same room as MCR's decorations again. It was my dream come true.
We had an amazing day and the flowers, table design, centerpieces were perfect! MCR played a huge role in making our day so special and beautiful. Their design taste is wonderful and will exceed your expectations! Highly recommend.
John made my special day memorable! I had lots of questions and he was always so responsive and kind. He helped me pick out things within my budget. The day of my wedding he set everything up perfectly! So perfect that everyone was asking who decorated. I definitely will be using MCR in the future.
My husband and I had to reschedule our wedding due to the pandemic and decided to have a smaller reception in our backyard. MCR was so helpful and easy to work with throughout the entire process. They were accommodating, insightful, and always available! Our day turned out to be absolutely beautiful! Thank you So much!
I do not recommend working with MCR.
My wedding date was in late March and was eventually banned my government order due to COVID. My husband and I eloped to keep our original date and elected not to reschedule our reception. We received a full refund from every vendor (including our venue)...except MCR.
At first, MCR claimed that we were entitled to zero refund since we “canceled our event” (it was actually banned by a worldwide pandemic). After speaking to their attorney, the position changed and MCR agreed we would be eligible for a refund minus the $1,000 deposit. This was not our position but we reluctantly agreed just to end the “negotiation” process with the company’s owner - John Phillips - who we found to be extremely unsympathetic to our situation.
A week later, we contacted John about our refund and he redirected us to his attorney. The attorney informed us that MCRs NEW position was that we would only receive our refund if we signed a non disclosure agreement stating that we would be fined $5,000 for every time we spoke negatively about our experience, whether online or even verbally.
We obviously declined to sign that document and are now forced to file a claim in civil court to receive our refund. However, it is important to me to warn other brides against working with this company. Dealing with planning a wedding is stressful enough, especially during Covid. You should be able to trust your vendors. MCR only added to our stress and made the trauma of having our wedding canceled worse.
We had two half hour meetings with this company during our planning process, and now we are out all our money for an event that never happened. Maybe things would have looked beautiful the day of - I don’t know because we never got there. But even if we did, it would have not been worth dealing with this company.
Please please please search elsewhere & do not make the same mistake I did!

We are extremely sorry for your dissatisfaction, but we feel there are some things to address regarding your review which are extremely inaccurate.
We agree regarding the aspects of COVID being a very stressful time ...
for many of our clients and we are working diligently with all of them to make sure that everyone is taken care of. We are heartbroken for all of our clients. MCR has a policy right now of shifting all events at no penalty to clients to their new and rescheduled date. This is meant to protect not only their date, but their finances as well so they are not incurring penalty fees towards the movement of events. During the pandemic, we have asked clients to give a partial payment towards the overall balance moving the event to just keep operations moving. This is only paid towards the balance of the event, not in addition to which means that we are offsetting revenue for an entire year within the company.
Regarding your event, MCR was informed (4) months after the scheduled event that you would no longer be having your reception. We were unfortunately disappointed by this as we had tentatively held a back up date in place in which we were informed by your venue and had no communication from you during the original state lockdown, but we fully understand the circumstances.
Further investigation led us to see that at your elopement, which we were not aware of which you had shortly thereafter of your scheduled event, you had actually used vendors that you had contracted with regarding your reception where we found the link posted here:

Upon seeing this we noticed you had still used contracted and paid vendors and had decided to forgo aspects you had from our company and purchase them on your own. We would have loved the opportunity the other professionals had to take care of you the day of your wedding as we absolutely would have.
While we deeply apologize about not being able to give a full refund, our company is a design company and spends numerous amounts of time with our employees on research, meeting, billing, and scheduling. While we met two times to review your wedding, we have numerous e-mails, correspondence, and other pre-event aspects that lead into the overall billing of your event. Execution is really the second half of the process when it comes to a wedding day.
MCR and our attorneys absolutely felt it was in our best interest to refund the second payment towards your event due to the fact that we did not purchase some perishable items and execute labor towards the event which we agreed upon and the company forgave thousands of dollars of rentals that were to be sent to your venue that day due to the pandemic.
While the aspect is true about the NDA, we had only asked for our attorneys to put this in writing due to the fact that after we said we were going to be issuing a refund, you then informed us that you were still going to be leaving negative reviews on all reviews sites warning brides of our business practices regardless of the fact of issuing a partial refund. We were also informed by other sources that you have left many negative reviews on other businesses on many other platforms overly consistently throughout the last couple of months. We are deeply saddened by this as our entire team stood behind you leading up to and even after COVID had struck your special day making sure we were timely in responses, met your budgets, met with you on time and consistently, and over prepared to take care of you however was within our power and reach.
We are sorry you feel the way that you do and hope that a greater aspect of kindness all ends will be approached more diligently in the future. We wish you and your husband all of the happiness during these uncertain times.
MCR has been great to work with! Our wedding plans have been postponed twice; once because I was diagnosed with leukemia and then because of Covid-19. It was amazing to see how attentive they were to our needs and working with us through everything that has been going on. We had a very small ceremony on May 16, 2020. Our flowers were STUNNING. I loved every part of them!!! There was so much detail and they were exactly how we envisioned them.
They were also great to work with staying within our budget!
Working with MCR to plan out our wedding was an interesting experience. At first, we learned about them at a wedding show where we got a chance to see many of their exceptionally well-done table/centerpiece set ups. After seeing their quality of work, we reached out to have a planning conversation. We first worked with Brian on coordinating a consultation. We then worked with John the owner on the estimating process along with their day of staff for the wedding itself. Below we listed out a few pros/cons starting with when we first worked with them through the end.
Pros:
• Brian was a pleasure to work with. He had a great eye for decorations and wedding designs
• The warehouse and breadth of options to use in your wedding was quite large. If you can think it, MCR can make it
• The overall product was beautiful. From centerpieces to corsages every aspect of the design elements were fantastic (besides the bridal bouquet)
Cons:
• Brian was unable to share any prices during the consultation
• All correspondence took longer than quoted, even after follow-ups
• During phone calls with the owner, every concern I (the bride) would bring up were pushed aside and felt ignored. When I would email him, his email response was always addressed to my husband with a “sir” somewhere within the email
• Poor communication between Brian (planner) and John (Owner)
• Late to pre ceremony pictures with all of the floral
• Missing floral items
• The bridal bouquet was only slightly larger than the bridesmaid’s bouquets and not made the way it was described in the invoice (family had to remake)
• Centerpieces were missing a planned element (venue had to help fix)
• One centerpiece built incorrectly and fell
• Overall day of employees were very disrespectful
Overall, we felt like because our wedding bill wasn’t large enough to MCR which meant we weren’t worth their time. Given the above cons, John did work with us to come to a resolution we were both happy with.
My husband and I are so happy we worked with MCR! John and Brian did a fantastic job decorating our ceremony and reception space. We were truly blown away on our wedding day! John and Brian made it so easy to plan our decor from out of town and they had the best ideas to make our vision come to life. Two days before our wedding we realized we did not have up-lighting for the reception and I was able to text Brian and he immediately got it for us. We could not be more grateful for the team at MCR for their hard work and talent! We highly recommend them!
MCR provided the linens, chargers/cutlery, floral, white dance floor, lighting and bars for our wedding at the Radisson Lackawanna Station Hotel Scranton in June. Brian was great to work with and made my vision come to life. The table arrangements and large floral centerpiece on the place card table was exquisite and a number of guest commented on how beautiful everything looked throughout the evening and the pictures/video look absolutely amazing. John was also extremely helpful and worked within our budget. I would recommend them to others planning their wedding or any other large event- you won’t be disappointed.
John Phillips and his crew were super helpful in making our day exactly what we envisioned. MCR was very quick to respond to emails and we were able to tour the warehouse to see what all of our options were. We ended up hiring MCR for pipe and draping and for a gorgeous wooden bar and bar back. We were blown away with both of these selections! The pipe and draping was done very well and blended in with the room looking spectacular. The bar and bar back added another dimension to our venue. Once we booked them, they took care of everything. John and his crew setup and broke it down without any issues. I can not recommend working with them enough! Thank you MCR and John for your contribution and helping make our day perfect!
I worked with John for my October 6th wedding and he was awesome! He knew exactly what I wanted and had great vision. I could have gone crazy at his design warehouse! He transformed our ballroom into something magical. Would definitely recommend!!!

We had over 300 people at the wedding and there’s not many companies that can accommodate a wedding that size. I found MCR at a bridal show and knew they would be perfect for what we needed. We rented tables, chairs, table settings, dessert tables, cocktail tables, tent chandeliers, and I’m sure I’m forgetting a million other things. We also used them for florals, which included centerpieces, bridal party bouquets, and the most magical floral arrangement for our ceremony trellis. Additionally, MCR organized the tent rentals through another company for us. John and his crew were so easy to work with from start to finish. I met with them to discuss what we wanted and showed them pictures as examples. They took our ideas and put their own twist on it and it was more than we could have imagined. We are still getting compliments from the guests about how beautiful everything was. The night before the wedding we decided we wanted another tent, we called MCR and within an hour had a new tent set up. Their crew was flawless, they set up and took everything down without any issues. Most importantly, they made wedding planning less stressful for me because I knew no matter what they did it wouldn’t be anything less than perfect. I would like to start off with John being amazing from the start. He worked with us in a reasonable prize on my details to my likings and answered every email. Last minute my venue called me to tell me change of plans to my description of my outside tent wedding two days before my wedding day. I called John crying that I have to change my tent details outside to now inside and if we can make that happen. He right away said yes and calmed me down. I sent John one photo and that was all I needed to do. I didn’t see the wedding venue until the wedding day and he blew me and my whole family away on the decor and details to my ceremony and reception. John is amazing at what he does and made my wedding dream come true

My husband and I used MCR for the décor for our wedding. I could not be happier with how it all turned out. When I walked into our ballroom, it felt like I was in a movie. It looked even better than I expected it could! John met with me numerous times and even set out a display table so that I could see how everything looked together. He allowed me to chose what I wanted, but also offered advice/suggestions on what might look best. They have a HUGE variety of items with so many different themes. There was one item in particular that I was hoping to find that he did not have and he offered to try to get it. I highly recommend them as a designer!
We hired Ryan Kenton through MCR to be our DJ for our wedding. He was extremely responsive and very accommodating. Ryan made sure that introductions and first dances went very smoothly. Our music requests were mixed into the night and special moments were carefully orchestrated and executed quite well. Thanks Ryan!
Summary:

- The Room at 900 as a venue (and the owners, not MRC) is AMAZING
This review reads similarly to a 1 star review further down the page. John seemed very on it in the beginning but would not answer questions or follow up with “TBD ill let you know” and not follow up. Things like is there a bridal suite, is there somewhere for kegs, etc. Things we need to know more than a week before the wedding before hiring other services (hair/makeup) or buying alcohol. After a few back and forths to say “look, yes or no we need to move forward” I would then get a straight answer, sometimes inaccurate - their was no bridal suite on the 2nd floor for Erica's hair and makeup.
At one point we sent our seating chart over and both John and his second in command were befuddled by excel and told us we need to upcharge to larger tables. Counting to 10 on a spreadsheet took a village. Not everyone is computer savvy but if you have all 10 fingers you can count out guest names in each column before panicking, trying to change the layout, and upcharge. Or sending quotes that accurately reflect the number of tables - not double.
We were interested in the use of the projectors for a full wall display, but asked to see samples of what it looks like before paying a fee to make our design. We showed up and they didn’t have any samples of what it can look like, so we loaded up Google and had incorrectly sized images shown. Maybe it looks cool if done correctly but seeing a google search on 1/6 the wall with a web browser outline looked very tacky.
The tipping point was when we were initially quoted for china and flatware rentals. Our caterer (Grico’s) said of course they have those things, so I followed up with John again. He flat out told me that Gricos does not. If I took that at face value, ok....but it doesn’t add up. Thankfully the manager at Gricos (five stars for customer service!) took care of it for us by advocating on her company’s behalf. This issue took things to a whole new level. Who knows what else we were duped on.
If you don’t know an answer, find out. If I weren’t persistent with communicating with our vendors, ie doing the design and planning job for them, we would have been effectively double-billed for $1300 worth of rentals. If something doesn’t seem right to you, follow up and protect yourself.
We think the room at 900 is BEAUTIFUL and Brian did an excellent job with the design, but I would highly recommend you stay away from their planning services at the 900 until they have a better grasp on how to run an event. I shouldn’t have to double check their work to avoid fraudulent charges, organize basics, and have a DJ coordinate in their staff's place.
Erica and I would go back in time and pick someone who could make planning less stressful and do what they’re paid to do. The day of our wedding I was caught up checking about quotes and layout that should not be happening. John takes no accountability for his errors or his staff - not a leader's mentality.
The room at 900 is our style and perfect for our quirky vibes, but ultimately we are reviewing the design group here and would love to go back in time to avoid picking MCR. Anyone can plan a wedding at 900 because it's such a cool space; MCR will somehow run their lease into the ground with this level of service.
To say I was disappointed with the quality of service from MCR is an understatement. Of all our vendors, John Philips, MCR’s owner, was our worst vendor and unnecessarily large contributor to our wedding stress. While initially liking him, originally intending to use his team for both lighting and decor, this appeal quickly became distaste as he became more and more unresponsive and disdainful. On multiple occasions John would not return emails or phone call messages within a week, sometimes more. He failed to update invoices upon request and was unprepared for phone call meetings. Furthermore, even after knowing of my discontent, he never apologized or provided a suitable explanation as to his reoccurring behavior. At no point did John provide us with linen/decor options or ranges of prices. It was not until I questioned John months into the process did I learn that there were other cheaper materials available that would still provide the same look and help us maintain our budgetary restrictions. Even after inquiring for a list of options and corresponding prices, these were not presented. After a touring our venue with our florist, my husband and I suspiciously found one of MCR’s rental books in a meeting room, which had never been presented to us even months after working with John and explaining out budget. While we were able to reduce his responsibilities to just lighting, had it not been for the $500 deposit paid to John, we would have canceled on him completely. To top things off, his lighting rep, who was supposed to be present for the entirety of the reception to lower the lighting, skipped out and left us disappointed, having paid for an uneaten vendor meal and not being able to manipulate the lighting brightness.

uld design your day! We had discussed the overall aspects of draping the room, lighting it, what type of linens to use, how to set up the cocktail hour, and more! Upon booking with us we did in fact have our next appointment at our warehouse in Kingston to view our entire inventory which you sampled a variety of aspects for your tabletop design which we did for almost two hours and unfortunately, you and your fiance had a very unwelcoming discussion on what you both wanted. It seems afterwards you may have worked it out though! After sending the invoice it was realized that the aspects you were looking for were way out of the budget. Unfortunately, all of the aspects and photos you were looking at on Pinterest were much more expensive than what were needed in order to execute so we do apologize, about (3) to (4) times more actually. We were always told you did want things inexpensive but you had a certain look you wanted to achieve. Unfortunately those aspects weren't part of the vision for that day due to the restraints we were given to work with. I am glad to see you saw our Rental Guide also! That guide does not go to our clients because it was created specifically for Sales Directors of facilities and kept in their offices. My apologies if you were confused by that. We actually did apologize for not being in contact so much in the busy month of September in a document that we still have which is great! Unfortunately, due to the peak of the wedding season in September it can be a little difficult from time to time. We did immediately contact your florist which you stated to us was looking for a floor plan, however when we contacted her we found out that she had actually rescheduled your appointment for October due to her enormously busy schedule at that time and funny enough she had never asked for a floor plan at all. My sincere apologies if somehow your signals were crossed on this. We actually were not contracted at that point either to be your designers which would have allowed us to do this. We were also very saddened after all of our samplings to which we brought more samples to our 3rd meeting at your facility that you had taken our design and implemented it on your own with other vendors. You had even asked us for another meeting to view samples while telling us you were looking at other potential vendors to execute your wedding. Unfortunately, we can not give away our ideas and do this due to the fact we have to be contracted with you in order to do this so again I apologize. It is not fair to our company to do the leg work only to have it taken away from us which we were saddened by. We wish you both a life of happiness and success!
Had a great experience with MCR. Given that John does not do Indian weddings very often, we were not totally sure what to expect, but when we told him we wanted him to get creative with a rustic theme, he certainly delivered in a huge way. Simple, yet elegant...exactly what we wanted! John Phillips has a creative eye, and if you hire him and his crew, I'm sure that you'll see this as well.
We had a wonderful experience with MCR. We worked with John. He was very helpful and had a great eye! He gave wonderful ideas and really helped to make sure that everything made sense and looked nice for the event!
Very disappointed in our experience with MCR. We drove over an hour to meet with John to discuss flowers and possibly a DJ for our wedding. Upon arrival we learned that John couldn't make the meeting, but arranged for us to meet with an assistant. The assistant was left all of the wrong information. We understand that things come up and mistakes happen; we could have brushed this off.
However, after reiterating everything that was previously discussed over email, the remainder of the 20 minute meeting was spent trying to up-sell us instead of listening and understanding our vision. Even more disappointing, there was no follow up after our meeting like promised. After a week and a half I reached out to John to let him know we did not receive a follow up. He apologized and said he would send us a quote the next day. Three days passed and we still did not receive a follow up. I have reached out numerous times and have not heard back.
Highly, HIGHLY recommend! John and his MCR staff went above and beyond to make our wedding day absolutely perfect! They took our vision and made it a reality! Not only are John and the staff talented, they are so easy and great to work with. If you're looking for ANYTHING wedding, you need to work with MCR!!!!
We used MCR productions for our uplighting and DJ for our wedding on 9/2/17. They did a fantastic job from start to finish. John is always readily available to coordinate everything and answer any questions you may have throughout the planning process. DJ Kenton was fantastic! He was a lot of fun to work with, and he had our guests on the dance floor all night long. He also honored our many song requests as well. This company makes planning your wedding music so easy with a simple online form and music database you can fill out. We had a blush uplighting which really made the whole room look that much more stunning! I would highly recommend MCR Productions!

MCR handled the lighting at my (now) husband and my wedding this past weekend, and I can't say enough good things about them. We worked with John throughout the process, and he did everything to stay within our budget. From the first phone call to the wedding, he was an absolute pleasure to work with. We had a very specific, nontraditional vision for our wedding. It was a rave/club theme and we didn't want your standard, cheesy DJ lighting. We knew after our first conversation with John that he got it. He came the day before to set up and test the lighting, then ran everything live the day of. It was perfect. Without the work he put into it, our wedding would not have been what we wanted; he made our vision a reality. Our guests were impressed and had nothing but good things to say. I highly recommend John and MCR, and wouldn't hesitate to use them again on another event.
MCR productions was absolutely amazing throughout our entire wedding process. We chose the starlight dance floor and gold chiavari chairs, both making our room beautiful! The dance floor was an absolute hit and really made our wedding stand out from others we attended at the same venue. John received many emails from me, all of which he answered the same day (if not same hour). He was without a doubt extremely professional and helpful with any question or advice we needed.

A huge thanks to John and the team from MCR! They did our uplighting and provided linens for our recent wedding. The whole process was seamless and John was really helpful in guiding us towards an uplighting color scheme to make the room look perfect on the big day! The MCR team was very responsive to emails, flexible with their schedules (we were planning from out of town) and made the entire lighting/decor process simple and fun!
We used MCR for our flowers and for our linens & centerpieces. Everything was PERFECT.We first met with John. He made us very excited about our big day. He made sure that the vision that we had was translated well to his team. Later we met with Brian, who helped us pick our linens and locked down our ideas. Brian made sure that the room looked absolutely stunning for our reception. He thought of every detail for the flowers as well. My bouquet was beautiful, the aisle and arch we got married under were also perfect. I cannot say enough good things about them. Had we known how great they were, we would have used them for our lighting and photobooth and everything else we could as well. I would highly recommend them.
When our wedding guests entered the reception area, they were literally blown away by the beauty and elegance of our table settings and chairs. Unbelievable!!!!! John was amazing from the first moment I met him. I booked MCR for my DJ and my photo booth. My DJ Ryan, well phenomenal, he was just so awesome and so much fun. He kept everyone going and his energy was just the absolute best and the photobooth and the staff for that were so much fun and really helped along to have a fun time. John and his staff are first rate and I couldn't imagine how boring it would have been without them. Thank you so much guys for everything you contributed to my wedding day. MCR Productions has by far exceeded my expectations. Never did I think I could have the wedding of my dreams in Scranton, PA. They transformed the Radisson Hotel into a mystical blue crystal wonderland! The hotel is beautiful on its own, so to have transformed it so elegantly beyond words was a job only MCR could have done. I heard my guests say "I was at a wedding here a few weeks ago and tonight I feel like I am in a completely different place!" With MCR, I did not have worries about anything. John Phillips made suggestions throughout our meetings and let me tell you; his ideas are out of this world! I was allowed to say "No" to him as well; we only ended up with what we wanted and could fit in our budget. We used new acrylic tables for the head table and the draping behind us was so beautiful. The entire room was a magical wonderland that made me feel safe and happy on the most important day of my life. I forgot where I was all night; which is what made the night so enchanting for everyone there! the dance floor wasn't empty for a minute (thanks to our DJ who was booked through MCR as well!) John's attention to detail, constant communication and expertise in design and lighting helped our vision come alive. MCR Productions was the perfect addition to our wedding day vendors! We had originally found John and his company at a local bridal show when seeking out places to rent black chiavari chairs. We were able to meet with John and briefly discuss the different options available with MCR – there were so many! John was able to share in our vision and theme and ask all the right questions as we planned our wedding. He met with us at our venue several times and really seemed to go above and beyond with his quick e-mail responses and attention to detail. We were able to rent chairs and chargers with MCR that really polished the look of our tables. Also, MCR provided uplighting for the space. The uplighting that they provided was top notch. John was able to meet with us and really find the perfect shade of amber to make the whole room glow. Overall, our experience with MCR was wonderful. We utilized MCR for the uplighting, DJ services, linen/napkin rentals, chair rentals, and sweetheart table design. We had the pleasure of working with Jenn for our planning process and did she have her work cut out! We initially had a meeting to get a feeling of what MCR could offer us and to give our visions for the wedding. We had no idea what we were looking for so there really wasn't much of a vision, but that was fine. Jenn was incredibly patient and with her guidance and organization our wedding came together to be better than we could have ever even imagined. I truly would recommend working with MCR on any of your wedding needs. They are kind and honest. We had a few moments of being uncertain what to choose in colors etc.. Jenn was always there not to push product on us but to give her honest opinion to ensure we would be happy. A true professional. The quality of the rentals we utilized were top notch. Our guests were blown away with the effect of the uplighting I really cannot say enough positive comments about our experience. I am so grateful we didn't consider attempting the "DIY" route. It was worth every penny to have such an organized planning process and it turn out gorgeous.
We had the enjoyment of having DJ John A for our cocktail hour and reception. He made sure he kept the party going! He was by no means a cliche wedding DJ. John was great at reading the dance floor and knowing when to throw in a different genre of songs to pull more people out dancing. I have never had so much fun in my life! I was genuinely impressed with John's fun personality and how special he made our wedding.
DJ Marquis did our wedding on June, 2015. My wife and I worked with DJ Marquis from the very beginning to ensure our reception was exactly how we wanted it. We have a huge family who love to dance and he became a part of our family that night. He was out on the dance floor with us and kept the energy up all night. He was very professional from the beginning and was detailed to ensure all of our dreams were met. DJ Marquis came out on the dance floor to dance to New Kids on the Block with me - unforgettable! DJ Marquis truly is a first class entertainer!
What can I say about MCR.. Words cannot describe how much they have done for my wedding on October 3rd.
I met with John soon after I was engaged to talk about things. I contacted him so early (basically a week after being engaged) I thought he would think I was crazy. Not the case. It gave him and his team ample amount of time to strategize and come up with the perfect day for me!!
MCR provided my linens, up lighting, center pieces, photo booth and DJ for my wedding. All were nothing less than spectacular.
My tables were navy blue, silver/white with a pop of yellow. The MCR hit the nail on the head when they worked with my florist to design the tables. The lanterns and “Mai-Tree” worked perfectly. A little bit of preppy rustic just as I had envisioned.
Our photo booth was a HUGE hit with our guests! I got to customize a lot of the screens that were displayed to my guests. I am in love with monograms and it was a theme to my wedding. MCR let me plop my monogram on just about every screen imaginable to be able to personalize. I was also able to choose 2x6 photo strips one for guests one for us. As I look back to the photo album I cannot stop laughing at all the great photos.
We had DJ Marquis as a DJ – he got me. He understood everything I wanted. He worked with me closely to ensure it was everything I wanted. He also played a traditional Vietnamese song for my father daughter dance that everyone loved.
John was always available night or day if I had questions or concerns. His team was very responsive to the million emails that I sent. I cannot say how much easier they made my day.. or 886 days leading up to my wedding. From the start I felt like I was in good hands. MCR is the way to go!!

MCR understood exactly what my vision was and they executed it flawlessly. They gave me many options to choose from when it came to linens, lighting and centerpieces, so I was able to create something unique. I did not have to worry about a thing and I would recommend them to anyone!
From my first meeting with John to the wedding day I couldn't have asked for more wonderful people to help plan a wedding with. We used MCR for many of the services they offer. DJ Marquis was awesome, the photographers Chad and Erin were Amazing !!! They made you feel comfortable. We also got the Miami sectional couch for our guest to relax on, rather than sitting at the tables all night. A monogram to shine on the wall ( which is yours to keep for further use). And as our favor we rented a photo booth. All our guest enjoyed that. You get to take a 4x6 picture home with you, and they also make you a memory book of the evening and a USB, with all your pictures and video messages from your guests.
If your planning a wedding MCR Productions is a one stop shop. You can't ask for more wonderful people to work with to help plan the most special day you will have.

Booking with MCR was one of the best decisions I made in the wedding planning process. From start to finish, they handled EVERYTHING in a positive and professional manner. I used MCR for lighting, linens, centerpieces, their DJ, chairs, pipe and drape, and projected monogram (Yes they do it all!) Every single detail was flawless and gorgeous and really made my wedding what is was. They were worth every single penny. Because of John & his team, I NEVER had to worry about a thing. Working with John and the MCR team for my wedding this past month was a great experience and would highly recommend them to any not-so-average bride! I live in the Philadelphia area but originally am from the Wilkes Barre/ Scranton area, which is where my fiancé and I decided to have our wedding. I was looking for very unique linens for my wedding that I saw in Philly and was struggling to find not only the linens, but anything comparable, until I met John. He immediately knew what I was talking about as I described the linens- unlike any other NEPA vendor. He was able to get the exact linens that I was looking for! In addition, he showed me many other amazing and unique linens as well to choose from for some accent tables, etc. I have been married for almost a month and I am still getting compliments on the linens! In addition to renting our linens from MCR, we also rented our Photo Booth from them. From start to finish, there was a technician standing at the booth to help our guests with the process. Their photo booth is unlike any other I had seen at a wedding before. It was not an eyesore at all and even allows your guests to leave video messages for you! My fiancé and I had so much fun watching the clips, on the flash drive they gave us, after the wedding. In addition to the linens and Photo Booth, John and I discussed renting candelabras, lighting for the room, etc- they have it all and they do it all! Can't say enough great things about MCR and my experience with them!

Well it has been one month since our wedding but because of MCR productions our guests are still talking like it was yesterday. The whole experience of using MCR from the first meeting to the actual reception was amazing! John and his team are truely experts at what they do. When I first met with John and Carmen I had some basic general ideas, they took my ideas and turned my reception into the most beautiful room I have ever seen. Not to mention they are one stop shop. I used MCR for our Dj ( Ryan Hertel- he was amazing!!!! everyone danced all night) Photobooth, Chivari chairs , linens napkins, charger plates, silverware, Monogram, uplighting last but most important the light up dance floor. It made my reception. When I walked into the room for the first time it took my breath away. MCR is so accomodating and personalized everything to our liking the best part was John showed up at my cocktail hour (on his own birthday) to see how I liked everything. They truely are a step above the rest what you get is a unique experiance that cannot be compared to any other vendor in this area. I would recommend MCR to anyone and everyone who wants the wedding of their dreams
I hired MCR to do the uplighting for my wedding, and it was amazing and so beautiful! I loved working with the owner, John Phillips. He is such the wedding professional and a true expert in the wedding and event planning industry! The uplighting looked perfect, and John was so helpful when I was trying to figure out which color to select. The uplighting really made the room look remarkable! It was so worth the investment! If you’re looking to make your wedding or event unique, you’d be doing yourself an injustice by not hiring MCR!
MCR covers everything. John was absolutely fabulous to work with in helping me plan everything. Everybody loved the DJ, and I was able to pick what songs I did or didn't want played at the wedding.
John and Candice were wonderful to work with. Everything they had to offer was beautiful. I stayed at the hotel our wedding was at the night before and some of my bridesmaids and I visited the reception and ceremony rooms late that night. There was a crew working on getting everything completed and it looked great. My wedding day before the reception started I went in to see the room and it was better than I could have imagined. All my guests said how great everything looked.

John provided us with DJ Marquis, Chad and Erin for Photography, a Photobooth, all lighting and décor, florals, and outdoor décor as well for our ceremony. My husband and I got married on 10-4-14. I had started planning in 2012 and John Phillips was by my side every step of the way. MCR has amazing, quality pieces and professional staff to go with it. John was always available. He would almost always answer his phone or text back immediately. He was kind and professional in every facet of my experience with MCR. We used MCR for lighting, centerpieces, monogram, charger plates, and an awesome light up lounge for our cocktail hour. Every item at our wedding was what we discussed about in our numerous meetings before hand. MCR is a quality business and what you see is what you get. I cannot say anything bad about this company. We also worked with one of their DJs, Marc Snyder, "DJ Marquis".. He was amazing!!!! We received so many compliments about the wedding music. He kept the party going and was able to bring my grandmother, my college roommates and my 10 year old cousins on the dance floor... It was perfect. If you want a DJ that can keep people on the dance floor, choose DJ Marquis. If you want beautiful decor and stress-free planning, choose MCR!
John from MCR Productions and his staff helped to make my wedding day a success! My then fiancé and I heard about John from mutual friends. We had attended their wedding and John made it so beautiful, so I knew he'd be the right one for the job! I emailed John and we got to talking about how I envisioned my big day. Shortly after, we all met for coffee to make this vision a reality. John was extremely knowledgable and very understanding of what we wanted. He then gave us a quote that was very manageable as we were able to make payments. So that was nice because we all know how hard it is to pay for a wedding!! Throughout the year we emailed back and forth, so there was never a lack of communication. At one point, John even came with us to see the venue to get a better idea of the space and what to do with it. My now husband and I had an AMAZING venue so all John had to do was enhance it. We had rented silver chiavari chairs (I didn't care for our venue's chairs), a lighted DJ booth (for extra pizazz), a monogram for the wall, uplighting, centerpieces, and a cocktail hour musician (who was amazing!). The day of the wedding, the space was BEAUTIFUL! Everything my husband and I put our money towards was well worth it! We were WOW'd! Even the staff was telling us they haven't seen the place more beautiful! We really wanted to thank John and his staff for everything and what an amazing job they did! We would HIGHLY recommended this company to any bride and groom who want to enhance their space and make their wedding a dream come true!
We used MCR to rent chairs for our wedding since our venue's chairs were not elegant. The chairs were beautiful and they were very reliable.
They were also the best price that we could find as we did get a few estimates. We high recommend them! :)
I have been in contact with MCR Productions over the past year and a half, as myself and my now husband had a 2 year engagement. From the first time I met with MCR until now my experience has been nothing but great! I mostly dealt with John through this crazy wedding planning process. He is extremely professional and always goes above and beyond for his clients. He was able to be reached with any question that came up at any time and always responded in a timely manner. I used numerous services through him: up lighting, 3 different centerpieces, photo booth, chair covers with sashes, monogram lighting for the wall, toole that wrapped the entire staircase. I can't say enough good about this company, they helped make my wedding PERFECT!
MCR did our wedding recently and we couldn't be more disappointed, especially for the money they charge. Pictures on their website look great but it doesn't show you their unprofessional attitudes, poor DJ service with inadequate MC and inability to work with the bride and groom. Very arrogant and will not listen to what you want. They talk a big game but do not come through. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE, TRUST ME!!!!
This review is for the band Nowhere Slow. They played a cocktail hour solo acoustic set and a full 3 hour reception set with only one break.
1. The music – the band was fantastic. Everyone raved about the music and we couldn’t have been happier. As a reminder, our original band from the NJ area cancelled on us back in April and it couldn’t have worked out better. We got lucky that the other band cancelled as Nowhere Slow was way better than they were. I didn’t get to listen to the cocktail hour music that much but from what I heard it sounded good.
2. Everything else and all the small details – once again, top notch. They volunteered to take care of the in-between music and even played the songs we requested. Went off without a complaint. Once again, very satisfied with them and they were super nice.
I have to take the time to comment on the exceptional job MCR provided for my wedding day. John was a pleasure to work with and was attentive to every detail and to my every need and question. He has a knack for style and is very honest with his opinions. I completely trusted in him from the moment we spoke. I was completely blown away by the table, lighting and wall decor, it complimented my wedding colors perfectly. MCR exceeded my expectations and I would highly recommend to anyone who is looking to add beautiful detail to their event! Thank you John and to your staff for a job well done!
We contracted the band UUU to play at our wedding reception. They were extremely professional in everything they did and were great to work with. Jason (the lead singer) was all about making our day fun and special. This band is high energy and had all of our guests on the dance floor. We loved having UUU play at our wedding!
John was not on site that evening as promised. Lighting issues later in the night. Very disappointed in the high cost which was not justified with strong customer service.

I was married on June 21, 2014. The reception was held at the Radisson Lackawanna Station Hotel in Scranton, PA. We hired MCR Productions to do our lighting/decor at the reception. In addition to lighting, MCR created a white vinyl dance floor, provided the photobooth, chiavari charis, linens, gold silverware, pipe/draping, and furniture for our cigar tent. I cannot express how wonderful it was to work with MCR, and its owner, John Phillips. From our first meeting, more than a year out from the wedding, John took my Mom and I for dinner and spent over 2 hours with us discussing my vision for the wedding. He had great and unique ideas, and anything I mentioned he made happen. There is no other vendor like MCR in Northeastern PA; they are truly unique and made my wedding one of a kind. They are also very easy to work with. Anytime I called or sent an email with a question, I received a response immediately. John took time to meet with me multiple times prior to the wedding and he also met with the other vendors I was working with to discuss the design of the room. MCR handled every detail, and I did not have to worry about a thing. MCR is a one stop shop (linens, chairs, dance floors, lighting, centerpieces - they have it all!) to make any wedding/event fabulous. When you hire them, you will not be disappointed!
UUU played at our wedding. They were simply AMAZING! I didn't expect anything different. They are a great band. All of our guests enjoyed them so much and are still raving about them. The band plays music that the entire crowd enjoys hearing. They do a great job interacting with the guests as well. The band made the reception! I will suggest them to anyone I know who is getting married!
MCR is awesome! For our farm wedding we used MCR for linens, chairs, cocktail hour furniture, lighting, and sound system. They can make anything happen and our wedding was beautiful! John is awesome to work with! He has great ideas, makes you feel at ease and is professional and reliable! The lighting in the tent highlighting the flowers was gorgeous! We are so grateful for their services and everything looked great!
For my recent wedding I used MCR for uplighting, photobooth, and DJ services. Their quality and service are the best! I would absolutely use them again for another event!
John is great, he answered my emails and calls right away and made times to meet with me whenever I needed. My wedding ceremony was decorated beautifully! Our guests were in awe as they entered the room. At our reception, the table clothes and napkin rings I rented made our tables and centerpieces look gorgeous. We also had a backdrop put up behind the head table. MCR Productions did a fabulous job making our wedding look as beautiful as we imagined. Thank you so much!
We had an amazing experience working with MCR Productions. From the minute we sat down with John, I knew that we would go with MCR. He absolutely got our vision of a fun, yet classy, wedding and he had so many great ideas. You could tell from the start that he is truly passionate about what he does. He also made it clear that he and his colleagues would ensure our day went smoothly.
We booked DJ John Alexander through MCR. He was perfect. Very responsive and communicative before the wedding and during our wedding, I didn't have to worry about a thing. He made sure the entire evening went smoothly. And the music was phenomenal! Many people told us that ours was the most fun wedding they had ever attended. We didn't have a formal dinner hour but rather had food served for the duration of the reception so people could eat and dance whenever. The food was fantastic and there was a ton of choices but many people didn't sit at their table once or take one bite of food because they were up and dancing for the entire 4 hour reception. All we did was tell John A what kind of music we enjoyed and what kind of atmosphere we wanted to create at our wedding and he did the rest! We trusted him to pick out all the music to create a fabulous evening for all of our guests and he exceeded our expectations!
MCR Productions also set up our sound system for our outdoors ceremony so that everyone, the groom, the officiant, the readers and the brass quintet, was properly miked. This went so smoothly that I didn't even know they were there. I didn't have to do any follow-up with them or any coordination on the day of my wedding.
Overall, I positively loved my experience working with MCR Productions and I would highly recommend them to everyone!

Where we got married was a small venue that had not had an update surely since the 70's if not earlier... if ever. We had a vision of a white winter wedding that sparkled like falling snow. With simple uplighting and one "ice wall" the room that resembled a scene from the movie "the shining" was transformed into a room that welcomed our guests into our vision. Just simpley beautiful.
