I loved that I was always in contact with them and even the day of, they were there helping and making sure everything ran smoothly. When the pandemic hit this spring, Todd and Tracy continued to help me and my husband plan our wedding, continued to be hopeful and honest as their venue remained shut down. After having to postpone, Todd and Tracy called me and we talked about other options for our wedding, they even mentioned catering services. Due to the venue still being closed due to restrictions, we decided to have our wedding at home in our backyard and the Meeting House catered our event. Todd came the previous day to scope out and set up the buffet table, the following day, everyone was so helpful with the buffet line, with the timeline of our day and in the end, everything was perfect! Everyone loved the food! Although we didn’t have our wedding in the beautiful ballroom, working with the Meeting House made wedding planning so easy!

My husband and I had many of our guests just stop us to tell us how good the food was, and when people say that brides and grooms always forget to eat on their wedding day that was not the case when it came to us. We didn't have a day of planner but I never once was worried about it, because Tracy and Todd literally managed everything for us- contacting our vendors, set up the day of, even bringing us drinks and making sure we ate as well as packing us up food from the buffet so that we could enjoy it later. They helped our DJ keep everything organized and moving along but they made it all seem so easy and seamless. People (including us) are still absolutely raving about the food at the Meeting House three months later- the Mac and Cheese was a huge hit! Todd and Tracy were so gracious and they went above and beyond to accommodate our family and friends. It was so important to us that our guests felt taken care of and that everyone had a great time, and I know without a doubt the Meeting House made that happen. We cannot thank them enough for everything they did to make our day the absolute best.

The porch, bar, and ballroom all looked amazing and the fireplace was incredibly cozy on a fall afternoon/evening. More importantly, the FOOD WAS AMAZING. Everyone commented on how delicious everything was. Todd and Tracy and their team went the extra mile with EVERYTHING. When one of our vendors fell short with delivering something that was part of our dessert table, Todd and Tracey went out and fixed it for us (without us even knowing). Even our to-go box with our dinner takeouts included block Ms for Mr & Mrs to represent our alma matar University of Michigan. Everything was absolutely perfect...and I'm a perfectionist who loves details! I cannot speak highly enough of the MHGB, Todd, Tracy and their team. FANTASTIC!

exactly how we envisioned. We knew of every cost up front and I never felt like we were nickel and dimmed. Our guests raved about the food (and generous portion sizes!) and everyone at our 200 person wedding was served their platted meal almost instantly. Because we had a Friday night wedding, we were able to start setting up Wednesday and didn’t have to pick anything up until the morning after the wedding. This alleviated so much stress on both us and our parents and allowed everyone to relax and just enjoy themselves to the very end of the night. I would highly recommend this venue!

I truly truly recommend the Meeting House for your wedding! This place is absolutely stunning! It has so many great qualities from the massive ballroom to an entire bar room and separate patio area! And the entire venue is yours! No sharing ballrooms with other weddings unlike some venues. I know I already mentioned the food, but seriously I am still dreaming about the menu! The food was soooo AWESOME! The servers were very polite and on top of their game! The bartenders were awesome and even remembered drink orders! This was the best service I have ever seen at a wedding! Todd and Tracy I can't thank you enough for everything you did to make my wedding day absolutely perfect! I will be recommending this wedding venue to everyone and raving about you guys for the rest of my life!!!

As soon as we arrived at the venue for our reception, Todd and crew met us at our party bus with appetizers (which were SO amazing) and the rest of the night we didn't have to think about a thing! They are a very well oiled machine and know exactly what they are doing and how they can be helpful. From our grand entrance, to dinner service, to every detail we couldn't have thought of ourselves, they have it covered for you. We felt like every time we turned around there was someone asking if we needed anything. It made our night so much more fun and carefree having that kind of service. We didn't have to stress about anything and the whole night went absolutely perfectly. We couldn't have asked for a better reception venue. We can't recommend The Meeting House enough! And yes, the food is as amazing as everyone says!

ou know that you will be treated with the highest customer service possible. The food was, hands down, the best food we have ever enjoyed at a wedding. It was fabulous and our guests are still talking about it. We loved that we had two days to decorate and put our signs and pictures around the venue, put up our selfie station, chair covers, favors, etc. The ballroom is beautiful and spacious and the balcony space was perfect for our photo booth, and for some of the guests to relax and chat during their dancing breaks. We wouldn’t have changed a thing, it was perfect!

d were SO responsive. We went to check out the venue, fell in love instantly and booked that day (I mean, right when you walk in, its hard to say no; its absolutely gorgeous). They were the most accommodating people ever; from the table arrangements, to last minute food allergies I found out about, they did anything and everything to make it all happen. I am actually in awe of how they keep it all together and make everything work so perfectly, but they do it! A few days leading up to the wedding, I was in contact with them a ton, and they were the most wonderful people ever. Couldn't be a nicer couple and they are just really good, genuine people. They really care about the venue and the bride and groom using it. They were there and in charge of the rehearsal a few days before, and that was amazing as well. Told us step-by-step how the wedding day would go (we had our ceremony there as well). Then came the wedding day. OMG THEY WERE ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Tracy was literally running around before the ceremony making sure everything was going smooth; she was even making sure that my groom wouldnt see me when he walked in. After our ceremony, the offered the wedding party and us drinks and apps right away, even before we took pictures. We loved that. During the wedding, they literally did EVERYTHING, from bartending, to checking with guests if they liked their food, to making sure my husband and I had drinks; we have never felt more taken care of in our lives! Our wedding day wouldnt have been the same if we didnt work with Todd and Tracy and choose The Meeting House. I truly could say SO many amazing things, but all in all, if a bride and groom are not sure on a venue, go check out The Meeting House. You will not regret it. The space is gorgeous (didnt need any decorations), the price is very reasonable, the food was amazing (I am still getting compliments on the food and the portion size from our family and friends) and Todd and Tracy are just amazing. There is not one slightly bad thing I could say about The Meeting House. I would recommend it to anyone and everyone I ever met that was getting married. Lastly the night of the wedding the owners busted their butts all night helping bring out food, clear off tables, and making sure people had drinks including us (the newly weds). I love supporting family owned businesses and I especially love seeing the owner interact and take part in their business it is such a plus. The staff was great and the food was to die for. It’s been almost a month and to this day I’m still getting people raving about the venue and the food. I could not have asked for a better venue I was so pleased with everything!

They even thought to have food and cake wrapped up for us for later in case we didn't get to eat during the festivities of the evening. Our wedding and reception was absolutely perfect and we have no doubt that much of that can be attributed to how thoughtful and professional Todd and Tracy were. Food - we have NOT STOPPED receiving amazing reviews about the food. The chef did an AMAZING job on everything from the appetizers to the main course. Our family and friends are still raving about how no one will beat our food. Servers - the servers and waitstaff were nothing but respectful, genuine and helpful. Our head table was assigned individual servers who introduced themselves and took care of every need. There was never an empty plate, drink or issue and we are thankful for all their hard work Venue in general - we have had multiple family and friends inquire about the venue due to the beauty and food. We have had nothing but positive things to say about how Tracy & Todd conduct business and how efficient and effective they are at running weddings. Our parents are so happy we chose the Meeting House and we could not agree more. Tracy & Todd made our wedding forever memorable and special for years to come. I guarantee we will be passing their name on for years!

From the start of our 18 month planning , Tracy and Todd (the owners) were ALWAYS hands on. During the entire reception they were present ensuring all was done elegantly!! Tracy and Todd were engaged, personal, and genuinely concerned about detail as my husband and I were. Without doubt they (and their staff) provided the BEST personalized service I have ever seen!!! Kudos also to their Chef (Linda) who has been with them for decades, truly her exquisite talents speak loudly! Every minute of reception was perfect!! Thank you so much Tracy, Todd, and Linda.....you made us feel like family and treated us like we were your only customers! My god continue to bless your business !!!

ur of the venue with Todd who was great. When we had our meeting with Tracey to go over details, it did not go as well. My mother came with my husband and I. My mother and I asked questions that may have been common sense to Tracey, but things that we didn’t know about. Tracey was rude and her attitude was shocking. My husband and I preferred to talk with Todd after that. Their email was difficult to get through to, they had to approve email addresses. My husbands was approved, but not mine so I was unable to email them. I wasn’t happy about paying for the bar for people under 21 (if they had an adult meal, you were charged for the bar). Tracey moved my card box without talking to me first and wth no explanation. I didn’t like having it by the men’s bathroom. My friend was able to put it over by the DJ. Before the wedding, they send out an email to all the vendors. It was very unprofessional including having details in all capital letters. I had to apologize to my photographer for this. The ceremony went great. Afterwards, they were aware we planned to take family photos with our backdrop. Employees started taking down the backdrop, I explained to him we were still using it. Tracey came over asking what we were doing and said that they needed to put the appetizers there. My photographer was great and asked if there was somewhere else she’d like us to take pictures. She said no, shook her head,and left. We were willing to compromise and she was still difficult. Overall I would recommend The Meeting House and to work with Todd.

nted. Several months later we sat down and they didn't remember a thing we had said. They didn't even remember us saying that we were doing both the ceremony and reception there, and the amount of people was 100 people short for what we talked about. We initally spoke with Todd, and then the second time was with Tracy; so I don't know if it was not communicated, but from there it just went down hill with their friendly performance. Everytime we wanted to do something that was a little different (drink themes), or putting tables in different areas, or dessert table....it was met with alot of resistance. And when I would re-introduce the subject I would be met with, "well that must've been changed at the last minute".(when it was not) Two weeks before the wedding Todd called me and talked to me about some of the issues they had. When I say he talked, I mean he talked....I couldn't get a word in edge wise, or he would cut me off. 10 mins of him telling me "how he would like to see it go." When we showed up on Wednesday to set up for our friday wedding, we were met by Tracy. She was completely cold, and rude the entire two days that we set up. We would say good morning, and she wouldn't even look at us. Todd was approachable the two days, but everytime I would speak with him Tracy would come over and rudely grab his shirt, and say "Todd we need to talk." We setup our rehearsal at 4 on Thursday but was told that we should've told people to be there at 330 because they have another rehearsal at 5. But we were never told initially that they had another rehearsal until the day before. The day of the wedding (November 10, 2017) everybody loved the food, but the workers literally took forks and drinks out of peoples hands to clean tables up. We felt like our guests were being pushed to eat, and leave, when we wanted them to just sit and enjoy the food and desserts that we spent sooo much money on. The venue was gorgeous, but if it wasn't so beautiful I would've walked away! We just didn't feel like we were on their priority list....other people were.

Todd greeted us at the party bus in the parking lot with all of our appetizers!! He also took everyone's belongings and carried them upstairs and put away for the night. Also....THE FOOD.... was amazing, we got so many compliments!! We did a combo plate with stuffed chicken and the beef. We wish they had a restaurant we could get it all year round! Everything here was awesome. Tracey and Todd are super accommodating and helpful and were attentive to our needs all night long. Highly recommended!

The overall experience was amazing, but let me touch on three of my favorite things about MHGB: The FOOD, the SPACE, and the SERVICE. I already talked about the amazing service--and it truly was beyond amazing. Our guests (and us) were WELL taken care of the entire night. The FOOD is what sold us during our initial meeting with Tracy. Oh my goodness.. we had caprese spoons, shrimp cocktail, and reuben cones for our hors de vouers and they were sooo good. We did a buffet and it was SO GOOD. Everyone was able to move quickly through the buffet because they had two lines going and all of the food was hot, fresh, and tasted great. Our guests raved about the food--especially the salmon with the lobster dill sauce (yum!) and the garlic mashed potatoes. Many guests commented that it was the best food that they've had at a wedding. You can tell that the chef has been there for 20+ years. I also loved the space and ambiance of the MHGB. We were able to have a very large dancefloor with our 155 guest count which was awesome. We loved that the bar is a separate room. Many of our guests mingled in there and in the enclosed patio room. The ballroom itself is stunning. I especially love the high ceilings, the colors, the chandeliers, the fireplace area--it's just so unique and beautiful. We are so, so very happy with how our day turned out. We wouldn't change a thing. We recommend the Meeting House Grand Ballroom to anyone looking for a quality venue with great food and amazing service. This was one of the BEST decisions we made while planning our wedding. We had multiple people come up to us and express how much they loved the venue, the staff, the food(its worth the food alone!) and the accommodations. From the first meeting to the wedding day Tracy and Todd were were in constant contact with us to make sure all the details were taken care of. They even gave us a wedding packet to make our planning easier. Let me just say one more thing...the food! All of our family were incredibly satisfied and LOVED the food. We opted for the family style which we were delighted with. We also chose the passed hors d'oeuvres and the lava tubes and shrimp were big hits! Overall, I can't thank Tracy and Todd enough for being accommodating and detail oriented so that our wedding day was enjoyable (they even contacted our vendors so we wouldn't have to coordinate the set up!) I would highly recommend the Meeting House Grand Ballroom. It was nothing short of romantic, classy, and chic. We are so glad we chose this venue to create a lifetime of memories! They actually stay for the entire wedding reception to make sure everything is perfect... they are there from the moment the vendors start to arrive till the moment your last guest leaves. Not only are they there the entire time, they also have plenty of staff helping throughout the reception. No one will wait for a drink! This alone is enough for a 5 star review but on top of all of this, the food they prepare is amazing! The biggest compliment I get from our wedding day is how good the food was. Everyone won't stop talking about the Black Bean & Sweet Corn salad! Lastly, the venue is gorgeous - your photos will be beautiful!

The ballroom is very classic and timeless, the photos barely do it justice. A must see in person! I would highly recommend The Meeting House Grand Ballroom and wouldn't change a thing about my wedding or the way they conducted business with us.

If you are having a reception, or anything else, I would definitely encourage you to visit with Todd and Tracy. They will make sure your event is amazing. My only regret is that I cannot rate them more than 5 stars, because they have certainly earned it.

. Todd and Tracy are absolutely the most wonderful people in the world to work with. They truly made the often-stressful planning process easier and were accommodating at every step of the way. They took their time with us at each of our appointments, were available any time for questions, and were extremely helpful with suggestions and ideas. Everything came together so beautifully on the night of our reception. The food was phenomenal. We chose a buffet style dinner, and every single item on the buffet was fantastic. Almost every guest immediately remarked to us how much they enjoyed their meal. My only regret was that I did not load up my plate because at the end of the night, they boxed up my dinner that I didn't finish for me to take home and I only wish I had more to enjoy! The staff was professional and thoughtful. Every little detail was perfect. I could go on and on about how amazing the Meeting House was, but I'll end by saying that Todd and Tracy helped to make our wedding the best day of our lives and there is not one single thing that I would change about our experience!

If you live in SE Michigan, and you are looking for a great place to have your wedding reception (or anything else for that matter), with unmatched cuisine and service, give them a call. The minute my daughter and I walked onto the wood floors and looked up at the tall ceilings and beautiful chandeliers we were sold. Then to be shown such a wonderful menu and the extra attention to detail sealed the deal. Everyone was pleased with how comfortable they were. The Meeting House Grand Ballroom provided a place for conversation away from the music and a bar room for additional gathering. The dance floor was huge enough for the largest crowds and the best dancers. Todd and Tracy personalize the entire experience for our family and our guests including meals to please those on special diets. Even those in our family with special needs were accommodated comfortably. My vision of a beautiful space for my daughter and her husband came true with the help of Tracy and Todd and their beautiful Meeting House Grand Ballroom in Plymouth, MI. Thank you. They were quick to answer and questions I had and were extremely accommodating considering we live over an hour away. You never become just a number to them once you've chosen them as your venue, you are family. I cannot thank them enough for making my day more than I could ever dream of!

dors for me which I appreciated as it gets super busy for brides closer to the wedding day. She was very flexible with me and let me come in to check out the venue again anytime I wanted. She answered all my random questions and she did it very promptly. Aside from the impeccable service- the food itself is enough to get me to use them again. Everyone raved on how good the food was. And the portions of everything was amazing. Their appetizers might have been my favorite. I was bummed thinking since the bride and groom show up later that I wouldn't be able to get any of the appetizers. I was wrong! Their serving staff met me right outside my limo with a tray full of appetizers. I was so happy they did that! And they saved more to give us when we sat down at the head table. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful and went perfectly with my great gatsby thing. What I loved most about this venue was that it is a one event venue hall. Meaning you so t have other weddings going on at the same time. Your guests won't get confused on which room they're suppose to be in. Also- you know how some of the older guests don't always want to be stuck in the one big room with all the loud music? Or when people want to actually have conversations but can't because the only room or space you have at your reception is the ballroom where everyone is dancing and the DJ is playing? Well luckily The Meeting House has THREE separate rooms for your guests to roam about throughout the night. The ballroom where all the magic happens, a separate room for the bar area and another room they call the porch which is where I had my open air photo booth. It gave my guests freedom to walk around and enjoy themselves and each other. With out being restricted to one place. That was a huge thing for me. I wanted my guests to be happy. Even after the wedding they still amazed me. I went the following Monday to pick up all my stuff (thankfully Tracy lets you enjoy your wedding night and don't have to worry about cleaning up your decorations until Monday) and to my surprise she had already packed up as much as she could! All I had to do was load it in my car. There was not one thing that made me second guess using The Meeting House. I loved everything about the venue and the staff.

At our first viewing, we sat down with Tracy and Todd who provided an entire folder of recommended vendors for everything you could need to plan a wedding! It was so helpful as a new bride with so much planning left to do! I also never had any issues with "hidden fees" that some brides warn of. I was provided an itemized print out of our total cost which even included tax and gratuity! The week of my wedding was the most stressful part of the entire planning process, but Tracy and Todd did everything they could to accommodate my needs, and they eve allowed me to get into the ballroom as early as Wednesday to set up my Friday wedding! All of my guests were raving for weeks about the beauty of the venue and the food! We chose to have butlered Hor D'oeuvres and a buffet style meal. Friends and family told my husband and I that the food was absolutely amazing (which we already knew). Tracy and Todd also made sure their chef made special meals for those with dietary restrictions, and those guests were so grateful for the specialized meals. If you want a carefree wedding that is organized and perfect, be sure to book it with the Meeting House Grand Ballroom. Thank you again for making our wedding day the best day of our lives!!
