Megan was a disappointment to say the least. Her response time to communication left a lot to be desired - in one instance she didn't reply for 31 days to an extremely timely request that had to do with the possible change of dates for my wedding. Megan's business ethics are something I also question. Megan is NOT someone I would trust with the most important event of your life.
Megan in three words: I love her. Our wedding started off not thinking we needed a planner. I am a very organized, type A person so giving up control of my wedding gave me anxiety. It was easy working with Megan due to the simple fact I trusted her. She was professional. She accepted the challenge that was my wedding and made it come to life. You can plan and plan your wedding & there will always be hiccups. My hiccup was massive severe storm that picked my gorgeously planned reception up off the ground of the World's Fair Pavilion. Megan was the glue that kept my event going. She is such a doll.
From our first call with Megan, I knew I wanted to work together! Megan's positive personality was just what I wanted in my wedding planning partner and boy did she deliver. Megan was a dream to work with, brought incredible vendors to the table, both that she had worked with before and those that she hadn't. She built a strong vendor team that allowed me to relax and know that my day was handled and I could be totally present. Megan humored me with all my crazy ideas and helped me incorporate them into the day in a reasonable way (especially in terms of the budget). Even though we had a destination-ish wedding, Megan took the bull by the horns and you would never have known she had never planned a wedding there before. Working with Megan really made everything from planning to design to day-of execution for our 3-day event was one of my favorite decisions, besides of course marrying my fiance.
I don't even know where to begin with my praise of Megan. She is lovely and the best decision we made for our wedding. We were planning a wedding in Missouri from out of state and she made the whole planning process as smooth and stress free as possible. She is also a master at putting out fires when stressful situations happen (our pastor forgot to show up for rehearsal and she stepped right in and ran it like a boss!) We leaned on her for everything and she did not let us down. We love her and wish we could have another wedding so we could work with her again. She's a total rock star and wonderful person.

Megan was one of the best wedding planning decisions I made. She was an investment in my peace of mind and ability to celebrate the day. Her guidance made me feel confident each of the months leading up to the wedding that I was planning a fabulous celebration with all of the details covered. My goal was to have everything planned so that during wedding weekend, I was just enjoying and savoring the moment with my new husband and family - Megan made that possible.
My only regret is not hiring her for MORE services! Megan's event management was above and beyond. She encouraged me throughout the planning process. She provided fabulous vendor recommendations that fit my budget. She was creative and kind. And her joyful spirit helped constantly remind me of the true purpose of the day and celebration.
Megan is graceful and poised and every person that met her during our wedding weekend loved her. She has a magnetic personality that you want to be around, and she's able to deal with a variety of personalities too - which was helpful for me, navigating wedding planning between 2 families! She helps you through any sticky or overwhelming situations by making it look easy and reassuring you constantly. She took pressure off me where I needed it.

Hiring Megan was hands down the best decision we made while wedding planning. We really thought we could handle the planning process on our own but since we were planning from afar in NYC, we definitely needed help! Megan is a true professional and guided us through every decision during the seven months we worked with her. We are so happy that we had her guidance in selecting vendors to create our wedding dream team. One of the best parts of working with Megan is that if you have an idea, she will find a way to make it work in your budget. I was so set on having a white dance floor and Megan went above and beyond to find us a vendor that wasn’t going to charge us an astronomical amount to install it on the big day. We did have some snafus (last-minute guest cancellations, a groomsmen that was ill, etc.) the last two weeks leading up to the wedding and Megan handled everything gracefully and always made us feel like everything was going to be fine in the end— and it was!! We loved every minute that we spent planning our wedding with Megan and everything went so seamlessly the day-of with no worries or stress at all. We could not have had our dream day be as perfect as it was without Megan and we are forever grateful that she will forever be a part of our wedding day memories! There is no doubt in our minds that Megan is the best planner in St. Louis and recommend trusting her to take care of all your special events needs!
Where to even begin?! I could not have any higher praise for Megan. She is absolute wedding magic. Our wedding was six months ago and we are STILL hearing from our guests how flawless our day was...we owe it entirely to Megan!
When we got engaged, I was torn about whether to hire a wedding planner, but after meeting Megan and hearing great things about her from other couples, I was sold. Not only is Megan warm and lovely and classy and everything you want in a wedding planner personality-wise, she is personally invested in making your day everything you dreamed of from the get-go. Megan knew just the vendors who would be a good fit for our vision, and she worked with them seamlessly to execute it. She inspired confidence at each of our planning meetings and handled the minor hiccups successfully and with grace.

The minute my daughter met Megan, she knew she was the "one" -- the wedding/event planner of dreams -- and Megan and team did not disappoint. As MOB, I immediately felt that the weight of the wedding world had been lifted from my shoulders. Megan is more than knowledgeable and experienced with a plethora of suppliers ready to help. She is also a kind and considerate task master! Each time we met she had ideas, suggestions and our to do list. She knew my daughter’s likes and dislikes and was a very proactive designer. She exceeded our expectations with reception space and floral design as well as organizational software and guest spreadsheets. I didn’t know I needed a planner and then I quickly discovered we couldn’t have a wedding without her. She was available anytime; she answered all our questions, kept us on track and stepped in when the situation was “sticky.” She is cool, calm and collected and said “YES OF COURSE” whenever I asked for help. We love her and we miss her. She is and will always be part of our family. I recommend her highly and I can't wait to have another event!
As mother of the bride, I appreciated that Megan reached out to me from Day 1. Even though we lived out of town during the planning process, she made sure to include me on all (frequent) communication. Megan was also very proactive and suggested little details that allowed us to truly enjoy the entire weekend with our friends and family. Very impressed!
I always knew that I wanted a wedding planner when I got married. Also knowing that I was planning a St. Louis wedding from Boston made that decision even easier. I met with several planners, but knew Megan was the one I wanted to trust to plan my wedding as soon as I met her. She's spunky and her excitement is so contagious! At the same time she is so relaxed and always makes you feel at ease. In fact, she did her job SO well, the control freak in me got anxious at the last minute thinking I had so much left to do, all the while Megan had everything taken care of. Her confidence was exactly what I needed. In addition to being organized, she always cleared her schedule when I was in town and scheduled calls at times that worked with my night-shift schedule. Her design style is impeccable... so great I cried when I got to see our reception space. While I could go on and on about how Megan is so great, I think what stood out among everything else was how she became somebody I could confide in when I was in those sticky bride decisions when you feel like you can't make anyone happy. She always had a solution that was tactful and made sure we were getting what WE wanted. I really can't thank her enough for making the PERFECT day for my husband and I.
I wish I could give Mr. and Mrs. Wedding Events more than five stars! Megan and her team were incredible, and helped make our wedding day so special. Planning a wedding is so stressful, and when the day finally comes, the last thing you want to do is worry about logistics all day. Megan was amazing--she handled everything and all I had to do was enjoy the best day of my life. Honestly, I had never thought of having a wedding planner, but Megan was the planner for a friend's wedding and I got to see her in action. She was professional, helpful, efficient, and she made sure every detail was taken care of for our wedding. I cannot recommend Mr. and Mrs. Wedding Events enough--you should get to enjoy your wedding day knowing that everyone is where they should be and that all the last-minute details are covered. All I can say is thank goodness for Megan! All my friends kept asking me if it was stressful to plan a St. Louis wedding from Chicago, but with Megan's help I was able to really enjoy the entire process! Her client software made my type-A heart flutter when I saw how organized it was going to keep me! I knew from the beginning that I would have limited trips to St. Louis during our year engagement, but Megan made sure each of my visits maximized my time and left me feeling really confident. Each vendor she recommended exceeded our expectations and helped us design a day that was beyond our wildest dreams! An absolute must have for wedding planning! I was never going to be the type of bride who had her entire wedding planned since her childhood, so I immediately knew I needed help. While I knew I wanted it to be a gorgeous day and really treat our guests, beyond that I didn't know where to start. Megan took the time to knew us and by doing so presented us with truly amazing design and decor ideas. She has incredible taste and is an etiquette expert. Every step of the way she was there to guide us through the process, which really put my mind at ease. Our wedding day completely blew me away when I saw all the details come together! Every detail was so unique and personal to us, and that's all thanks to Megan! If you truly want to make a statement with your wedding while actually enjoying your engagement you need to call Megan!
The BEST decision we made with our wedding was hiring Megan & Mr. & Mrs. Wedding Events. We first met with Megan just after our engagement when the initial overwhelm of hiring vendors started to hit me. There were so many options and I didn't know what to do! Megan presented 3 qualified vendors for each category, all within our budget and a perfect match for our style! Every step of the way Megan had unbelievable ideas to maximize our budget and creatively showcase our personality. On the day of the wedding I was completely calm and relaxed! Mark and I were able to be fully present and enjoy every moment of the day without worrying about a single detail. Our friends and family could not stop raving about how beautiful everything was, from the gorgeous table design to the custom welcome bags! I fully recommend hiring Mr. & Mrs. Wedding Events for your day - you will not regret it!
I honestly believe that my wedding would not have been the wedding of my dreams without the services that Megan provided. I decided pretty early into wedding planning that a wedding planner would be beneficial for me to use. Megan participated in several of my meetings with vendors with my mother and I. During these meetings Megan would communicate the ideas that we previously discussed and make them a reality with the vendor. I loved that Megan would often talk to the vendor prior to our meetings so ideas would be ready for the meeting but she would also help me go over each contract to ensure everything was correct. Megan's attention to detail and ideas throughout my planning process were just two of the many things that helped my wedding day come together. My mother was an important person that I wanted involved in my weddng planning process. Megan would not only communicate with me but often include my mother in emails or throughout each meeting we attended.
Megan offers all of her clients access to a personalized wedding planning website that I used frequently throughout my planning. The website allows you to manage all of your vendor information, guest list, save inspiration ideas and establish a timeline for the wedding weekend. All of this information can be downloaded and shared with vendors and bridal party whenever needed. Prior to the wedding Megan provided me with custom wedding timelines that I shared with each group in the bridal party and with vendors. Megan communicated with each vendor prior to the wedding to finalize all details which was amazing because it was one more thing that I didn't have to think about doing.
Leading up to the wedding Megan would remind me of contacts I needed to make with vendors or decisions I needed to make to be on schedule. The day before my wedding I had a last minute issue arise (mainly because I am a last minute person) and Megan was able to correct an error that a vendor made without any hesitation and without causing me to stress. On the day of my wedding Megan set up all of the decorations and worked with all of the vendors to coordinate everything. I truly trusted Megan with all of the set up decisions she made the day of the wedding and I never felt stressed on my wedding day. I truly believe that my dream wedding was a possibility because of the experience Megan provided and the vendors she recommended.

Words cannot express how amazing our experience was in working with Megan from Mr. and Mrs. Wedding Events!! I must admit I was hesitant in hiring a wedding planner for my daughter's wedding but it was one of the best decisions we made. We interviewed 3 coordinators and it was clear that Megan was one of the tops in St. Louis. We hired her for design, planning and day of services. We started working with her in December for an October wedding. She is very creative and works within your budget. She has so many fabulous and cost effective ideas! Megan helped us interview and qualify vendors in addition to negotiating terms. She is well networked and knows everybody in the business. My daughter had a very specific vision for the reception and Megan was able to help us realize it. She wanted it very blingy with special chandeliers, dance floor etc. Megan had some great suggestions for suspending flowers over the head table, featuring vintage wedding dresses at the reception (it was a big hit - I had my dress, my mother's and grandmothers ) as well as an ice cream cart for the late evening snack. We also had poppers at the tables - so fun!! I also really loved the software she has that allowed us to track expenses and budget, invites, RSVPs, table assignments, vendors, payments, and even wedding ideas. It is accessed from her website. I have dreamt of my daughter's wedding since she was a baby. I have heard from many friends that they were so busy at their child's wedding they didn't even enjoy it. No time to talk to guests, eat the food, dance etc. Having Megan there to deal with all the little things that come up, the vendors etc. took such a load off our minds. The florist forgot the flower girl pomanders - Megan is on it, grandparents need an umbrella - Megan to the rescue, who will make sure the snack is set up in the right spot - Megan is there, at the end of the night who gathered up all the stuff securely - the cake knife, photos, presents etc. - Megan was all over it. She took care of everything at the rehearsal, all day of the wedding and into the evening. This was such a relief to not have to worry about these things. My son is getting married next year and we have hired Megan. I cannot recommend her enough. Do yourself a favor and hire her. You will not regret it.
Our wedding would not have run so seamless without the help of Megan and her team! They truly are rockstars in what they do and I am so grateful that I was able to have them help plan my wedding! I cannot image going through the planning process without all of Megan's assistance and advice. We hired Megan as a six week out to day of planner, but Megan was SO accommodating as my husband and I live in Chicago (and our wedding was in St. Louis) and we could only come home for our final details meeting before that 6 week window. She is incredibly organized, great with communication, and is creative/has amazing taste in helping with all of the design details! She created our timeline for the weekend, communicated with all of our vendors, and was such a great support system throughout the whole process! Not only did she help with everything for our ceremony and reception, but we also had Megan plan our rehearsal dinner. Once again, she did an AMAZING job. My husband and I highly recommend Megan and her team to anyone looking for a fun, personable planner to help plan the perfect wedding day!
I don't even know where to begin! I stumbled upon Megan's website late one night looking for a great and affordable wedding planner. After a few meetings with other wedding planners, I was a little in distress that I would not find one. As soon as we met up, however, I knew I wanted her to plan my wedding. She was extremely professional, bubbly, and over all just a very friendly person! Since I was basically starting from scratch, she helped me through the entire process. All of her vendors came highly recommended. We met monthly and even more so as it came closer to the wedding. All of our meetings were filled with laughs and brainstorming. She helped me take what I had envisioned for years into real life without ANY stress. Megan even would come to my dress fittings and tastings. She was always by my side making sure EVERY detail was perfect. When the day of the wedding came, I can honestly say it was smooth sailing. All vendors were on time and did their part perfectly. I got to enjoy every minute of my wedding because of Megan. When I saw the reception room I was speechless. I literally ran around the entire room because I was so excited: from the shimmering table clothes, huge centerpieces, and custom dance floor, it was perfection. Megan also surprised me with a photo booth which made the night even better! I had guests come up to me all night saying it was the most fun and beautiful wedding they had ever been too. I can't stress enough how lucky and blessed I have been to know Megan this past year. My brother and his fiancé have now hired her for theirs! My husband and I were so sad when the wedding was over because we had the best night of our lives. For anyone debating on getting a wedding planner, Megan is worth it!!!!
I don't even know where to begin with this review. Megan and the rest of the Mr. & Mrs. Wedding Events staff are gifts from God - not even kidding, they are the best people you will ever encounter. So I the task of planning a wedding while being out of town, working full-time, and finishing my dissertation for grad school, so I thought I could use a little help. My family, his family, and him did not think a wedding planner was necessary, but after working with Megan they all have been converted! I stumbled across Megan here on The Knot, did my research on her (found nothing bad), loved her website, and filled out a "get to know you form". The next day I was contacted, Megan and I shared a mutual love of Kate Spade, puppies, wine, and the Blues, so instantly I knew we were going to hit it off. Megan is perfect in ways words cannot explain. She helped me plan my wedding from start to finish and did not miss any details. She thought of things, that I would have never imagined. She helped me put my ideas onto paper and transform into real life for the big day. She is so kind and compassionate, which is evident in how hard and dedicated she is to her job. Every vendor Megan suggested turned out to be a 5 star vendor, I was never disappointed by her suggestions. She made sure that I stayed within budget and only recommended vendors that fit my style and budget. She is very organized and easy to communicate with; I especially liked using her portal called Aisle Planner, it really kept everything organized. Six weeks prior to the wedding, we were in constant communication. She came with me to a few vendor meetings and helped smooth out all of the issues. I had one vendor who was picky about the decor we were bringing to the venue and she handled him like a PRO. She is a lifesaver and I cannot thank her enough! My mother and mother-in-law are now recommending her to all future/current brides because they were so blown away by her expertise and performance. It allowed everyone to enjoy the day without having to worry about all the little details. Definitely money well spent. If you're on the fence about hiring a wedding planner, DO IT, just stop thinking about it and DO IT. Seriously, it will save your life. Megan, Matt and I and our families cannot thank you enough for all the time and effort you spent helping us make our wedding day perfect. Thank you for everything! P.S. She even sent me a Christmas gift - a "Mrs." mug, how freakin cute is she!? Seriously, set up a meeting and talk to Megan, I promise you will not be disappointed!
I can't say enough good things about Megan and her team!! When we started planning our wedding and decided we were going to have our reception in the same room as our ceremony with a 'flip' in between, I knew we needed a planner to help with that process. I met with several planners and didn't feel great about them, but as soon as I met Megan I knew she was the perfect fit for us (and she certainly was)! Megan provided us with AMAZING vendor recommendations, which ultimately led to our day being more than we could have ever imagined and so perfect for us! I felt completely supported throughout our entire planning process and it was so great having someone who completely understood our vision. Megan is extremely organized, she created the perfect timeline for our wedding and everything went so smoothly on our wedding day. She was in communication with all of our vendors leading up to our wedding and coordinated with them the day of to make sure everything was in place and perfect. Another plus, the planning software Megan uses is amazing and kept me so organized throughout the entire process, it created a space to organize, track and export our guest list; the most user-friendly seating chart and so much more. I could go on and on about how great Megan and her team are. If you are even thinking about hiring Megan - do it. You will not regret it!!

I initially contacted Megan because I needed someone to help with organizing the timeline for the day of the wedding, ensuring the vendors were ready to go, and coming up with decor. Megan went above and beyond in all three categories. Not only did she spend countless hours before the wedding contacting vendors to make sure they had all of the information they needed for the big day, but she also helped me with table designs, ceremony ideas, etc. She is very creative and has great taste.
I was most anxious about making sure everything went smoothly on the day of the wedding. I didn't want to spend anytime making sure people were where they needed to be and I definitely didn't want to feel rushed when getting ready or taking pictures before the ceremony. Megan perfectly planned out the timeline. She made sure everyone was aware of what they needed to be doing, and she made sure there was enough time with getting ready and having pictures done so that there was zero stressed involved. Looking back on that day, I don't know how she did but it made the day even more perfect.
The cherry on top is how responsive and organized Megan is. She answered every frantic email or call I had and assured me that she had everything under control.
Looking back, hiring Megan was most likely the best decision I made during the entire wedding planning process.
Megan is an important to our wedding as our mothers. She was patient, and explained not only the how, but the why, when it comes to wedding planning.
Megan helped consolidate our ideas into practical plans and decor. She was a a great resource and helped us every step of the way. In a sense, she was like the boss and we were the teammates. She supplied checklists and due dates based on our timeline my wife and I set.
Megan also worked with my wife's busy schedule which was especially helpful when unforeseen issues came up. She was the gatekeeper for info that might have upset us, and rather than call us and tell us about how something might not work, or that the venue had issues, she called to tell us how she already solved the problem.
She had great suggestions for vendors and everyone she had us take meetings with connected with my wife and me. She understood what we were after and put in touch with people with similar sensibilities. We loved out florist, our DJ, our printer, and our photographer who were all recommended by Megan.
Finally, of the day of the wedding, Megan and her team took months of conversations, far-out ideas, almost a dozen different vendors, and from our and our guests's perspective, seamlessly brought our wedding to life. My wife and I didn't have to worry about anything. It was like magic.
Megan is friendly, encouraging, and feels like a true collaborator. When my wife and I saw our reception hall decorated before dinner, Megan tearfully came over and hugged us and told us, "congratulations," and we knew that our special day was as important to her as it was to us.

I cannot thank Megan and her wonderful team enough for making everything perfect for the wedding! It truly was wonderful to have them running the show the day of, because I did not have to worry about a thing. From flower delivery all the way to wrapping up the reception, they were there to make sure that it all went perfectly. Words cannot express how grateful I am for their wonderful work! Anyone who wants to have a stress free day should go with these ladies!
I was extremely hesitant about booking a wedding coordinator, initially thinking I could handle all the pieces of my wedding despite planning it from out of town. After doing a lot of research and talking with previous brides, I decided to go with Megan and Jessica for a day-of coordinator and am beyond thrilled that I did! Not only were they very reasonable in price compared to other companies but these two were super sweet and helpful with making sure all the pieces of my day turned out seamlessly. They took over contact with my vendors several weeks ahead of my wedding day and created a detailed timeline for my vendors and wedding party, which took away so much stress for me. Via several Skype calls and email they helped make sure I had prepared for everything and that they were able to execute the vision I had for the day. Their wedding expertise definitely showed through with several last minute planning decisions I had to make. Jessica made the whole day run so smoothly and made me feel confident that everything was taken care of. I felt like I was able to relax and enjoy the entire day, never having to worry about any last detail. I would now recommend that every bride AT LEAST have a day of coordinator and would definitely suggest Mr. & Mrs. I wish I would have hired these two sooner in the wedding process...they were so worth it!
We hired Megan as a day of planner, or really a month of planner. She was worth every penny! She was professional and organized, and she really took care of us on the day of the wedding, checking in often to make sure we were doing okay. I think there were a few glitches with the wrong pipe and drape being delivered and things like that, and we didn't have to know anything about it--she just took care of it. Everything was perfect, and it was so nice to have her there to run the show!
While it may not be standard to write a review of your wedding planner before you actually get married, there is something to be said for my honest review prior to the splendor and magic of my (a bride's) big day, right? Of course, I will still love Megan just as much after my day, I'm sure of it! But I am here to tell you how much I love her, right now, 6 months before my wedding has even happened. I repeat, I am 6 months out from my big day.... and I am COMPLETELY planned and booked, with every vendor, and every detail. What is left on my list is fun stuff: buying gifts, some casual crafting, hitting the gym, spending time with my fiance picking songs and vows, showers, bachelorette parties! The list goes on. I couldn't be sitting here right now, loving the duration of my engagement, without Megan. I did not even purchase her "full" planning package! I had multiple meetings with her when I first got engaged. She calmed me. She told me what was important, and what I wouldn't care about. And she left me to my own devices! Always knowing she was right there if I ever needed anything. She told me what to spend my budget on, and didn't judge me for wanting to cut corners or costs where I could. She was even getting married herself! Actually, she was getting hitched within two months when I met her, but I had no idea! She remained organized, in control, and ready to tackle any issue or problem I could throw at her. She is professional and so knowledgeable. She doesn't just know about weddings..she knows etiquette, local and trusted vendors, and how to handle dicey situations with anyone! Her team is incomparable to any. I am so proud to say that 3/4 of my vendors came from her and her own recommendations (or her own wedding ;)) How could I NOT trust the vendors she used herself?! She is there for every email, every text. I know as I get closer, I can trust her and her team to do everything that I don't want my family or myself to do or stress about. Picking up gifts, transporting glassware, handling intoxicated wedding party members. Your DAY should not be a YEAR of stress and pain prior. It should be an organized process that you enjoy every minute of. Booking Mr and Mrs Wedding Events will get you everything you need. Seriously, look no further. I even have time to sit here and write this review, instead of reading reviews of vendors on the Knot. Consider your wedding officially perfect and planned. <3
Megan is absolutely amazing!! Where do I even start?? My (now) husband and I worked with Megan for full coordination of our day, and I do not regret any part of this decision! It was important to me that my vision of our wedding day come to life, and come to life without stressing about it 24/7. I could NOT have done this without Megan’s amazing help! She helped us by recommending the most amazing vendors - which blew us out of the water with their work! She also coordinated with them throughout the planning process to make my life easier. She created the best custom timeline for our day, which saved so many headaches. She thought of EVERY little thing…things I wouldn’t even have thought about. She really has the best attention to detail! I’m SO happy to say that I went through the whole process of planning my wedding happy and I got to enjoy my engagement thanks to Megan’s help! I've made two perfect decisions in my life, the first was asking Liz to marry me. A very close second was hiring Megan and Jess to help get Liz down the aisle. As a groom with no clue what a table runner is, who Kate Spade is and what the heck mauve looks like, Mr&Mrs was a godsend.
From the initial consultation all the way through the last guest getting safely in a cab, the amazing teamwork of Megan and Jess was in full effect.
Megan has a natural eye for beauty and balance, and she was always quick with a solution to any problem my worrisome fiancee could throw at her.
The planning tools provided to us during the engagement were invaluable. Megan helped us finalize and organize our guest list, pick the incredible vendors, plan the design of the entire day and most importantly stay under budget.
She also may just be a hypnotist, every single time Liz started to worry, a quick call or email to Megan calmed her down immediately.
When the big day finally arrived, we were happy to have Jess there by our side. She was our savior throughout the whole day. From getting everyone in the right place at the right time, to making sure everyone got on the party bus, she was calm and confident and put everyone at ease. Throughout the reception Jess was there, running the photobooth and keeping all our vendors in the right place at the right time.
Jess saved the day when I realized I left all the vendor tip money in the hotel, she managed to get it and get back before our pictures are done. I will always appreciate the incredible level of professionalism and dedication Megan and Jess showed throughout the entire process. We could not have managed to create the perfect wedding without their expert guidance and knack for elegance without extravagance.

Megan was so great in planning and day of coordination! She took on a lot as my wedding consisted of over 300 guests. The day went smoothly and I worried about nothing as Megan and her team had set up the room for the reception and contacted the vendors to make sure they knew exactly what was expected. She goes above and beyond for every couple she works with. We had a perfect day, we were always on time and nothing was forgotten. I could have asked for the moon and Megan would have made it happen!
After reading a number of favorable reviews for Mr. & Mrs., I decided to engage the company as a "Day of Planner". Despite encountering some delayed responses to my emails prior to the event, I kept a positive attitude and things started out well on my wedding day. Things moved relatively smooth until just after the ceremony ended. My father looked for the wedding planner to assist in organizing the family photos, but she was nowhere to be found.
Although the maid of honor and best man stepped up to help out, other problems were encountered and people were frequently coming to me to get answers. Where was my wedding planner? I soon learned from the other vendors that Meghan had fallen ill and had left. Her assistant remained and although doing her best, she was clearly overwhelmed. I understand that it's a small business and largely dependent upon the owner, so when the owner is ill it's tough to cover, but Meghan should have told me that she needed to leave.
During my honeymoon, I anticipated an email from her, acknowledging her sickness and absence during the wedding, but all I received was an upbeat email with no mention of her absence over a week after the wedding. When we returned home, my husband and I scheduled a phone call with her to address a lengthy list of problems that arose after she left the wedding. It quickly became apparent that Meghan was not accepting responsibility for any of the issues; she even denied leaving the wedding early. It was only after a scathing email and threat of legal action that she called back and admitted to getting sick, accompanied by a half-hearted apology.
One measure of success for a business is how well it responds to adversity- Mr. & Mrs. failed miserably.
Can I give 10 stars?! There are really no words to accurately describe how thankful & appreciative I am of Megan with Mr. and Mrs. Wedding Events. After first being engaged, I knew I wanted a coordinator to help me put together the final details and be there for the day of the wedding. After seeing the Mr. and Mrs. Wedding Events website, I knew these ladies were going to be a good fit for my style. I took the 'quiz' to find our perfect planner and was matched with Megan. From choosing the package that fit our budget all the way to the final details leading up to our wedding day, I felt completely supported by Megan. I also used Megan and her team for flowers and decor and oh my goodness did they deliver! Every single thing was exactly as I described and wished for. Every guest at the wedding complimented the decor and beauty Megan captured. If I could do my wedding all over again, I would choose Megan and her team every single time. From coming up with unique ideas (and having her husband make some decor) to corralling our 15 nieces and nephews, she rocked it all! We are forever grateful for Megan. AMAZING! Mr. & Mrs. Wedding Events is one of the greatest! I hired Megan to do day of coordination for my wedding. Megan and her team were there to support, suggest and inform me throughout my entire wedding planning process. When I first met with Megan I had a lot of my wedding already planned (venue, florist, DJ, etc.). Megan jumped right in and took over to help with me with many of the small details that I would have never thought about without her. She would always promptly respond to any questions I would send and/or give me advice when I wasn’t sure what to do. She gave many suggestions to help me along the way and the wedding day turned out PERFECT! I did not have one worry on my wedding day and I owe that all to Megan. She is amazing! She finalized with all of my vendors and made sure everything was perfect when they showed up. She handled all the last minute items that needed to be addressed leaving me to enjoy my time with family and friends and celebrate being a bride. I cannot thank her enough for all her hard work and dedication she did to help make our day perfect!
Oh! My! Goodness! My wedding wouldn't have happened without Megan and her amazing team. Brad and I hired Megan for planning and day-of coordinating. Megan met with me four times before the wedding to keep me on track. We had our wedding at NEO on Locust, and she helped me order all of the rentals (plates, linens, etc.). Initially, I was going to let the venue pipe and drape, but Megan pointed out that I would save money renting it myself. She handled the measuring and everything.
She came up with a flawless timeline. At one point, she encouraged me to push makeup up an hour just to be safe, and I am so glad we did! We had plenty of cushion time, and I was able to relax the whole time getting ready.
On the day of the wedding, she coordinated all of the vendors who needed to set up for the ceremony and reception. Megan did a remarkable job putting our dessert table together! When I walked into the reception hall, I was so overjoyed I literally started crying.
I loved my wedding, and it seriously wouldn't have happened without her! She goes above and beyond in every way imaginable!!

Mr. and Mrs. Wedding Events were nice and pleasant to work with, however, in terms of executing on the day of coordination, I was not impressed. Personally, I expected the day of coordinator to be a bit more organized: I had to reach out to them to schedule my initial meeting and they were delayed in sending our schedule to the vendors. On the day of a handful of things stood out that I thought they should of handled better. For example, the groom and grandparents were not cued to walk down the aisle at the church and at the reception the napkin fold was wrong as well as the table set-up. They moved a table from one side of the room to the other. The table was planned to be in the corner and they moved it right next to the dance floor, we had planned on family and wedding party being near the dance floor so the table move was handled completely inappropriately and very noticeable as a bride. They seem to be a new business so maybe that is why things were not executed seamlessly.
When I first contacted Megan, I had already checked off a number of important items on my wedding to do list. I already had the venue, the church, and the dress. However, I had a unique vision for my wedding day that I needed help bringing to life. Megan exceeded my expectations and my wedding day was even more beautiful than I ever could have imagined.
I was most anxious about the details of the reception. I had envisioned a vintage, art deco inspired reception to be held at The Thaxton Speakeasy, but needed help bringing the details of my vision to life. Megan suggested utilizing vintage items from Finch Vintage and the brass candlesticks with black candles ended up being my favorite detail of the reception.
The planning meetings were so helpful! I always came prepared with a number of questions and concerns, all of which Megan was more than prepared to tackle. It was in these planning meetings that Megan suggested so many of the unique aspects that made my wedding day so beautiful and unique.
The online checklists were another extremely helpful tool. I often felt over my head during the planning process, as I was finishing up my undergraduate studies at the same time, and it was nice to know when certain things should be completed.
Overall, my experience with Megan and Mr. and Mrs. was amazing. Megan went out of her way to make our wedding day special. She genuinely cared about reducing my stress, which at times was out of control, and without her guidance and assistance, our wedding day would not have been as unique and fun as it ended up being. She went above and beyond her duties as my wedding planner, even attending a meeting with a questionable florist when she knew I was nervous going alone. I had a wonderful wedding planning experience due to Megan and her team. I will definitely be recommending Mr. and Mrs. to all my engaged friends in the future!
Being a bride on a budget is never easy, but planning a St.Louis wedding when not living locally is even harder! Other than choosing my groom, hiring (befriending feels like a better term) Megan and her team was the best decision I made through out the planning process! Megan is protective of her couples and always puts their best interest first! She understands money doesn't grow on trees (not even during your wedding) and works with you to figure out solutions to accomplish your vision. She was an incredible guide and made sure we were able to enjoy and celebrate our own day vs worrying about every little detail. Every single person in our bridal party and extended family has praised how professional, organized, and considerate Megan and her team were and now nice it was to see a bride and groom so happy and having so much fun on their day! I trusted Megan so much, I let her cut my wedding dress with a pair of scissors outside the church when it kept snagging on my shoes! I know what many of you are thinking, "can I really afford to hire someone to coordinate the day?" I would be willing to spend less money on my dress, flowers, etc to ensure you can have Megan on your side for your special weekend...she really is that crucial to a fun and less stressful wedding!
**Also....I am confident the photo booth Megan and her team created and used for our wedding is the most amazing photo booth you will ever see....our guests all took MULTIPLE turns to take a few more photos :-)
Mr. and Mrs. Wedding Events was the perfect match for me to be my day-of coordinator. I originally wanted to hire a coordinator for the day-of so that everything would be kept on time and run smoothly and so that I could just relax and enjoy my day - and that's exactly what happened! Everything was super organized and Megan listened to every little detail I wanted in the timeline and also in the décor and all of them came to life on wedding day. Everyone complimented (and keeps complimenting) on how beautiful everything was and how much fun all of the parts of the wedding were! The online checklist that we used helped me organize everything, which I LOVED, and Megan was so accommodating with my schedule (as I was planning my wedding from out of town) when setting up our meetings. Our meetings before the wedding really helped me feel so much more comfortable because Megan was on top of everything and helped keep me on track. The day-of, Megan and her assistant were there the whole day (working outside in the blistering heat!) and never missed a beat. Even during the reception if there was anything I needed to ask of Megan she got it taken care of right away so I could keep enjoying myself. I strongly recommend them!!! Thank you Megan :-D
I have told all of my family and friends that hiring Mr. & Mrs. Wedding Events was the best investment I made for my wedding, and I will always stick by that statement. Working with Megan was a dream come true. She and her staff were organized, professional, and incredibly friendly. By the day of my wedding, I felt like we were best friends and wished she was a guest instead of a vendor :)
There are a few areas of my wedding where Mr. & Mrs. went above and beyond what I ever imagined from a wedding coordinator.
1 - The amount of communication and organization was AMAZING!! You would not believe the amount of emails I sent to make sure they understood my vision. Not only was Megan incredibly responsive, she was always positive, professional, and attentive. I couldn't imagine having to deal with a bunch of crazy brides, but she does so with grace.
2- There were problems that occurred during my wedding that I had no clue about because Megan was right there to fix it. Little hiccups are going to happen on your wedding day. It's inevitable. Megan and her staff solved all of these, and not once did they bother me with the details. That, to me, was the best gift anyone could have given me. It allowed my wedding day to be as stress free as possible.
3 - My five-year-old son was going to walk me down the aisle at my wedding. I was standing next to him at the church and had about two minutes before I made my grand entrance. Right at that moment, he decided it would be a good idea to have a bloody nose. I was completely panic stricken. Megan's assistant came to the rescue. She made sure no blood got on my dress and even helped get his nose to stop. Megan had the remaining bridesmaids walk extremely slow in order to give us more time to fix the situation. This whole time Megan's positive attitude helped calm me down and relax. They ended up stopping the nose bleed, and the guests had no clue what had happened just seconds before I walked down the aisle. This is what people need on their wedding day, someone who takes control of the situation and allows the bride, groom, and guests to enjoy the day. If it weren't for them, I would have been stuck back there by myself trying to stop a bloody nose in a white wedding dress.
I joke with my family and friends a lot, saying that I would love to get married again and again just so I can use Mr. & Mrs. over and over. Although that's a crazy idea, it does show you how absolutely amazing these ladies are to work with. I encourage you to set up a meeting with Megan. In my opinion, having her at your wedding would be the best gift you could ever give yourself.
Let me just start by saying that I picked Megan from Mr & Mrs Wedding events because she had been highly recommended by the Ritz Carlton wedding coordinator. And i am very happy with that decision.
I was looking for somebody that would be dependable, reliable and flexible but comes with a reasonable price. And Mr & Mrs Wedding events fit the description and provided so much more. The owner, Megan was incredibly helpful. She was very accommodating with my schedule and budget. She literally made the wedding planning easy for someone so unorganized like me. She provided me the tools and convert my ideas to actually design concepts. She was easily reached and very responsive, which was also very important to me. I am easily stressed out and she was extremely understanding and reassuring.
The days leading up to the wedding, i got more relaxed. I was not worried about anything at all. Which was very unusual for me. There were a lot of people commenting that i didn't look like i was even stressed. And all i could say is that its because Megan took care of everything for me.
And at the wedding itself, Megan not only made sure everything was going smoothly but she made sure i had everything i needed, and she did her job with so much cheerfulness and positivity that it made me calm even during that one moment when my make up artist was over an hour late, without notice. Thankfully, that was the only problem that i had encountered that day. Everything else, I am sure Megan took care of it because i was not aware of anything else
Bottom line, i am so glad to have hired Megan. I don't know how i could've done it without her. She is exceptional at what she does and I highly recommend her if you want some stress-free or at least minimal stress wedding planning.

She is EXTREMELY organized and could keep up with my O.C.D planning and organization. She was on top of it on our wedding day helping us keep on schedule and making it so I was relaxed and stress free ALL DAY! Nothing, not a single thing, went wrong on our wedding day. The in depth timeline was perfect and she thought of everything.
I'm very organized and always thought that I could do it all myself. But after friends suggested that even if you're the best planner in the world, having a Day-Of wedding planner is a must.
This is seriously one of the biggest mistakes I see brides make and something that I strongly suggest. It was worth every penny for myself and my family to relax and enjoy the day. My wedding day was perfect and it wouldn't have been so seamless without Mr. & Mrs. Events!

When I first got engaged, I had a lot of ideas for my wedding and tons of DIY projects that I wanted to get started on right away. I wasn’t looking for a packaged deal for my wedding day, but instead an eclectic mix of vendors. Once we chose a venue (Third Degree Glass Factory), we got started with hiring photographers, a florist, caterers, etc. All the plans were starting to come together but we still felt the stress of coordinating the actual wedding weekend. After a year of planning, we didn’t want small logistical issues to stand in the way of an amazing day. This is why, 6 weeks prior to the wedding, we reached out to Mr. and Mrs. for help- we went with the Cream Package!
As soon as we contacted Megan, the communication was great. We had a planning meeting (via Skype because I live out of town), and I immediately felt comfortable with Megan and felt like she understood what I wanted my wedding to be like. Although I had a few “weird” ideas, she loved and supported all of them! She offered to help us with set up for the rehearsal dinner, in addition to the wedding, which was really helpful. On the day of the wedding, everything went so smoothly, and several of my guests commented that it seemed like we thought of every detail. The décor was perfect, the ceremony was beautiful, and the entire timeline for the night was seamless. Throughout the night I felt like I could go to Megan with questions or concerns, however this rarely was necessary since the night was so smooth. I was so thankful that I decided to get a day-of coordinator. It really relieved my nerves and helped me enjoy the best day of my life!! Thanks Megan!
In my original wedding plan and timeline, I didn't plan to hire a coordinator. I plan events for a living, so I thought, eh.. I can do this alone. As my wedding quickly approached, as did the busy season and many events at my full-time job, I realized I needed help finalizing details, and on the day of. I didn't want my mother running around the venue worrying about linens and floral, I wanted her to be able to relax and enjoy the day with me! When my husband and I met with Emily and Megan, we immediately felt a sigh of relief and comfort. Our meetings were incredibly helpful and organized. I knew that if I was missing something, these ladies would think of it for me.. and they sure did, many times. On the morning of my wedding, while we were all getting our hair and make-up done, one of my bridesmaids looked at me and said "You are too calm of a bride - make me do something - you're so relaxed!" We all laughed, but she was so right. I was not worried about one single thing on the day of the wedding. Hiring Mr. & Mrs. Wedding Events was one of the best decisions I made, and the ladies were beyond wonderful!
Best wedding decision I made! Leading up to the wedding I was on schedule as far as organizing and planning but I had a lot of anxiety about who was going to help me accomplish all I had planned on the day of the actual wedding. It was SO SO nice to have Megan and her team there not only to assist but to cover things that I hadn't even thought of. I honestly did nothing but enjoy the day knowing that even the smallest things like making sure the priest got his check to confirming that the flowers were delivered were taken care of. After I got engaged I had numerous friends tell me how much work it is to have a wedding. Saying things like "we didn't even get to eat because we were too busy" or "the reception is more for the guests than it is for you". That's not how it turned out for me! We truly got to enjoy the evening, celebrate and have a blast. There was even a drink waiting for us when we got to our seats at the reception! I felt VERY pampered by the end of the day. Highly recommend!!!
I am so glad we hired Mr & Mrs Wedding Events for day-of coordination. Megan has a great personality for this... friendly, enthusiastic, and relaxed. Having her and her assistant there helping on my wedding day really kept things as stress-free as possible.
My sister told me that the one thing she recommended when we were wedding planning, was to hire a day-of coordinator. BOY WAS SHE RIGHT! We found Megan on TheKnot. When we first met, I could tell this girl was on it! She was so detailed and knew exactly what to do. Leading up to the big day, we had two meetings with her and her assistant, Emily. She made sure everything was on the timeline correctly, contacted all of the vendors, and when we showed up at the rehearsal to find that our venue had sold the piano we were using in the ceremony, which was written in our contract, Megan was up the next morning, calling all the piano shops in town. She went WAY above and beyond and I couldn't have asked for a better coordinator to help our day be perfect. She and Emily made sure our wedding day went smoothly. She literally will be there for you the entire day of the wedding. She stopped in to check on the girls in the morning, picked up our flowers from the florist so we could do a first look. There is so much Mr. & Mrs. did for us and we are so thankful for them. After we were married, my husband and I looked at each other the next day and said we couldn't have done it without Megan. You will not be disappointed if you go with Mr. & Mrs. Events.
All my life I had been dreaming of my fairy-tale wedding, and as I began the wedding planning process I realized my expectations were too high. I was absolutely ecstatic when I first got engaged and the honey moon period of that lasted until people started asking me questions about the big day. After trying to figure out timelines for a dress, flowers, cake tasting, etc I knew I was in way over my head and needed someone who knew what was happening. Hiring Mr & Mrs was by far the best thing we did for our wedding! From our very first meeting I was completely blown away with their professionalism and attention to detail. Megan had so many recommendations and ideas to help us with planning, and we had not even hired her yet! I know our wedding would have been special to us regardless of this decision, but they really took it to the next level. My fiance initially hired Megan to help only with our wedding day. But I must say that Megan turned out to be a God-send for the ceremony and the reception. Sitting down to write this review, my heart feels so full of praise for Mr & Mrs Wedding Events. Megan went above & beyond what I could have ever hoped for in a day-of coordinator. When I first contacted her about helping with the set-up of our day, she was beyond accommodating & helpful to help me get organized with our vendor list. Our meetings were SO helpful in the planning process, they really made me feel like I had my ducks in a row. She was such a calming, reassuring presence at our rehearsal & provided pocket timelines for our wedding party (so awesome!) The day-of work that she did really, truly blew me away. She & her assistant, Whitney, were incredibly thoughtful with their set up of our reception space & did a fantastic job of rendering me speechless when I walked in. As a bride, it can be a little overwhelming to try & visualize all of the different components of your wedding coming together. Megan made that a reality for me, I can't thank her enough. She put in an ENTIRE day for us for the ceremony prep + ceremony + reception + reception clean-up, plus countless hours helping me to get organized beforehand. She is worth every penny & more; a true artist at putting all of the little things together to make wedding dreams come true. Thank you, again & again!
I never thought I needed a wedding planner, I can do everything myself, I thought. Until the stress overtook me and I reached out to Megan of Mr. and Mrs. Wedding Events for help on the day of. How mistaken I was. Upon our first meeting, I knew Megan would have everything under control. She calmed me and took care of everything, literally everything. From resolving multiple issues with our transportation (and getting us a refund!), mending my mom's hem, to making sure my new husband got a special plate of appetizers brought to him, Megan and her assistant Rachel took care of it all. I cannot say enough about their professionalism, organization, patience and attention to detail. Megan and Rachel were absolutely unbelievable and I am so very grateful for all of their help leading up to my wedding and for making our special day so perfect. Hiring Mr. and Mrs. Wedding Events was, by far, the best decision I ever made for our wedding and I recommend them wholeheartedly.
Having Megan join with helping me during the last 6 weeks of wedding organizing and planning was the best decision I made during the whole process! She was exactly what was needed: organized, kind, energetic, positive, smart, experienced....really fit in perfectly with what was needed. I imagine it must have been hard to jump right in since our wedding was mostly planned when she joined, but she brought much needed organization skills to bring it all together and an impartial, third-party experienced opinion to fine tune the details. Having her day-of was essential, we had a big wedding party with a number of logistical moving pieces that needed to happen in lock-step and she was able to make it all run smoothly. Even the best plans can run into small bumps in the road and that happened for me but Megan was able to handle any hiccups so I didn’t have to worry. They say the best gift you can give your family is to have an impartial planner help coordinate the wedding day and I am so so glad I listened to that advice. It gave me peace of mind so I could just sit back and enjoy the day!

I have used Megan often the past few years to manage events for numerous special occasions and non-profit activities including: full-day educational workshops, evening musical recitals, graduation parties, showers, dinner-dance parties, and an afternoon tea party. Whether the group was small (5-8) or large (over 100), she was very creative with her design approach. She manages to incorporate a literary theme or cultural tie-in with the initial outline I gave her--changing even ordinary events into something very special. She has a flair for decorating on a budget, yet she manages to pull off a Pinterest-worthy style which is appealing. I've seen Megan handle the all details with an organized and personal touch -- from invitations to catering to lighting and PowerPoint, to following-up with the photographer, guest speaker, or other vendors. She makes sure everything runs smoothly. She has the energy level required to make it seem like she is enjoying the hectic pace. She also stays calm whenever changes or obstacles come along. I love working with her!
