After a robust corporate career as a leader in hospitality training and organizational change management, I launched my event planning business in 2013. I quickly became a go-to planner in Dallas, Texas for couples who wanted the very best in service and design for their weddings both locally and abroad. In 2016, I moved to Columbus, Ohio to support a new job opportunity for my hubby Matt! I'm so excited to share my event planning passion with Ohio.

It is difficult for me to even know where to begin in describing what a gift Meggie Francisco is. Meggie does not just plan events--she designs, executes, and creates a deeply purposeful and indelible gathering that sets the stage for joy, celebration, and meaningful moments.
I speak from the perspective of both the bridesmaid and the bride. As a bridesmaid in one of her weddings, I truly had the most stress-free day. Meggie took care of each and every detail with the utmost professionalism and careful communication, which meant that as bridesmaids we were free to focus 100% on celebrating the bride and groom. It's the only time I've been a bridesmaid without any confusion or harried running around behind the scenes on that day. Meggie provided me a true gift in getting to be fully present in every way for my dear friends.
As the bride, Meggie was a fierce, strong, yet graceful, servant-hearted leader. She is a professional in every way, a clean communicator, and yet a genuine friend. She seamlessly carries all these roles in order to nail every detail. From having to navigate finding me a new hair stylist in the last two weeks, to finding creative ways to execute our dreams within our budget, to putting out last-minute fires, to building an incredible wedding vendor team that pulled off everything without a hitch, Meggie does everything. What if I told you that there was one thing you could do to ensure your wedding day was absolutely perfect? Well that "thing" is hiring Meggie Francisco Events! I've been trying to find the right words to articulate just how amazing our experience with Meggie was but I am not sure that I will ever be able to appropriately express how lucky we felt to have her orchestrating our day and the months of planning leading up to it. From the moment I met Meggie, I knew that I could trust her. She is warm and charismatic, and has some truly enviable levels of organizations. As soon as we signed onboard, we put Meggie in a pressure-cooker with our requests, demands, and short timeline. She never once let her professionalism slip and we truly believe there is not another planner or person that could have pulled our wedding day off to the level of perfection that she did. Meggie plans a wedding like she was born doing it, like every detail and task is as easy for her as breathing. It is rare to find a planner that can deliver on both logistics and design but she nailed every single detail. We gave her our vision and she exceeded all of our expectations and crafted a day that truly felt like "us"! Our wedding day would not have been possible without her and we owe Meggie a never-ending amount of "Thank you"s.

Meggie makes planning a wedding FUN! And let me tell you, I was not having fun planning it until I met her. She will ask you all the right questions to understand YOU and your vision.
She is so knowledgable in the industry and will give you all the confidence you are making the right planning decisions.
When it came to vendors, I always felt I was getting fair quotes because she was there during negotiations; sharing ideas on how we could get exactly what we wanted and cut out what we didn’t need. Outside of getting fair quotes, she made sure the vendors were going to deliver the vision and tone of the wedding.
I had a Costa Rica destination wedding, and her ability to speak Spanish really helped with negotiations and vendor communications on this aspect.
She reviewed airline restrictions, helped me bring wedding items in her personal travel bags, delivered welcome bags to our guests, she even went on a run to pick up some water bottles to throw in the goody bags. She truly handled everything - floral, welcome dinner, reception, wedding day, scheduling/timing of all vendors for a smooth day, reception, prepping the wedding party, making sure I sent the DJ songs I liked, officiant script... EVERYTHING!
We last minute decided to extend the reception 2 hours - the rental crew was onsite with their trucks ready to load up and she somehow kept everyone happy and agreeing to wait for us to finish our party!!
And she isn’t just your planner - she was my right hand woman on all things wedding. She helped me pick bridesmaid dresses, wedding invitations, set reminders for me to write thank you cards, designed the website, helped me describe my pallet to a chef for how I wanted food prepped - I mean really, you name it she was right there with me. She would talk with me about wedding stresses and make me feel better about them. I can truly say Meggie has become a friend and someone I continue to stay in touch with on a regular basis.
I think absolute hospitality when it comes to Meggie’s services. I feel she invited me into her world of planning and made my wedding absolutely magical. I can truly say when I closed my eyes to envision my wedding, she made it a reality. Being able to refer her name to friends and family is gift in itself.
The wedding of my DREAMS would NOT have been possible without Meggie! I interviewed a few other planners. All were good, but Meggie stood out because she was MOST passionate, proactive, fun to work with. I LOVED her immediately. I still remember our 1st meeting when we talked about our vision, ideas, and who we are as a couple. I was pretty clueless, but Meggie just gets it, and she really helped us learn a lot through the process.
To give you an idea how much help we needed, my husband and I were engaged for 3 yrs before Meggie came along. Between him living out-of-state and me working 80hrs/week (+ most weekends), it was just impossible to get anything done. Well, Meggie made the impossible possible! She worked with our very limited schedules. She had a plan for us, and she helped us stick to it.
From beginning to end, Meggie took care of everything as if it was her own wedding. She was always RELIABLE and SUPPORTIVE. Most importantly, she really had our backs. As an example, budgeting was a huge deal since neither of our families were contributing financially (and we had tons of loans). Meggie worked with what we had. She helped us prioritize realistically and objectively, gave countless helpful advise on what we needed and what not, and she always made sure we were comfortable with our decisions and not stressed financially. In the end, I felt like I got a million dollar wedding under budget!
Meggie obviously has good taste for aesthetics. But she also has a very good eye for people. She put together the most AMAZING team for us! Everyone worked together FLAWLESSLY to make our wedding day memorable! Also, knowing our families, who tend to be drama prone, I was pleasantly surprised how smoothly entire day went by! Of course, it was much later when I learned how much work Meggie did behind the scene, putting out fires left and right to make sure everyone was happy! Meggie, YOU ARE TRULY AMAZING and TALENTED! I wish I can have Meggie for life!!!
Meggie is, in my humble opinion, the best at what she does. I was referred to Meggie by our videographer, Henry Martens. When Meggie and I first met, I immediately felt the stress and weight of wedding planning lift off my shoulders. Meggie has vast knowledge of wedding planning, from researching and booking vendors, logistics involved in a destination wedding, and providing wonderful customer service to all parties involved, not just the bride. She is a genius at working with all members of the family, yet ensuring the true love story of the bride and groom is told in their way.
Meggie worked with me on our destination wedding in Lake Tahoe, CA at The Ritz Carlton. She helped budget, schedule and complete phone calls with vendors, brainstorm and design the most beautiful wedding day. She arrived to our destination a few days in advance to help us walk the property, go over our schedule of events, and actually choreographed the entire rehearsal.
On our wedding day, Meggie was bouncing back and forth between the bridal suite, the grooms’ room and the reception hall. She made sure that my bridesmaids knew how to properly steam my dress; an hour before the wedding when she realized the groom hadn’t had a bite to eat since 6 AM, she brought him a personal pizza. It was these seemingly small touches that have such a lasting effect on her clients and their wedding day.
Throughout the wedding, Meggie made sure that no one was wanting for anything. We (the bride and groom) always had a fresh drink in our hands, a bobby pin when my hair started to slip, or a moment of silence together amidst the chaos. Our event felt effortless and meaningful because of her excellent planning. I couldn’t imagine my wedding day without Meggie, and am so grateful for her.
Choosing Meggie as my wedding planner was the best and easiest decision I made. With her extremely detailed lists and her attention to detail,Meggie made my whole wedding experience so easy and fun. If anything went wrong with another vendor she had so many helpful options within minutes. People always ask if I was stressed having such a big wedding, but thanks to Meggie i truly never felt stressed or overwhelmed. The day of the wedding her and her team were waiting on me and my husband hand and foot, and at the same time making sure everything was running smoothly. There are truly not enough words to say how incredible Meggie is. My dream wedding wouldn't have been possible without her.
Meggie is an amazing wedding planner! She was able to take my daughter's vision for her wedding & reception and make it a reality. Meggie was so easy to work with, and was always on top of any issues that might arise on the wedding day. We were able to totally enjoy the whole process of planning the wedding & reception and the day of the event was pure perfection. My husband and I will be forever grateful that Meggie was our daughter's wedding planner. She made our little girl's dreams come true!

Meggie Francisco is Amazing! I first met Meggie about a year and a half before my wedding. I really needed someone to help me from the beginning, and she was the girl. From the moment you meet her, you can see how genuine she is and how much she really cares about what you want and envision for your wedding and truly goes above and beyond to make that happen. She works with you on your budget and maximizes each detail perfectly. She brings with her so much knowledge about weddings and the industry in general. I honestly couldn’t imagine planning my wedding without her. From the start, I had an idea of what I wanted for my big day, but she really helped to develop what I had envisioned and make it much better than I ever could have imagined. As I said earlier, we brought her in a year and half before the big day, a year and a half with a client is a LONG time, but she was so attentive throughout the entire process. I’m pretty sure my mother and I probably wore her out with all of our emails, text messages, and phone calls, but she never missed a beat. She always got back to us right away, answered every question to the full extent, she always had options and ideas to bring to the table if something suddenly changed, she went so far as to schedule every vendor appointment around my schedule for me, I just had to be there (BIG help!). It goes without saying, the wedding day went flawless. It was beautiful and perfect and better than I could have imagined. One thing I really appreciated was when I talked with her about the wedding, I felt like I was the only bride she had. I know she had so many other brides with their own weddings to attend to, but I really appreciated her one on one time and attention through every step of the process. I just can’t say enough great things about her. If you are looking for a wedding planner (which I greatly suggest!), you would really be doing yourself an injustice to not hire her!
Meggie truly walks on water. Two weeks before the wedding which was Saturday night, Meggie discovered that our caterer for the rehearsal dinner and the wedding (250 people) had suspended his business for 30-60 days. (or how know when or what he is doing) He was not responding to our calls. Before Meggie called to tell us, she had proactively looked at our options and worked with her people she knew to help us out. She brought calm to a panic situation and she left no detail untouched. We were pretty frazzled as the caterer took off with $15,000. Meggie was with us every step of the way helping us with all of our vendors and helping us select new ones to regroup. She was professional, calm, and walked us through every detail. She managed all the vendors and assured our quotes were correct and even negotiated for us through our crises. Our wedding was spectacular and a true success. She made sure everything went smoothly from the rehearsal dinner to the wedding day. And still working to try to recover some of our funds. We could have not gotten through this without Meggie. She is genuine, caring, has a big heart and extremely organized. She went way beyond the call of duty on this one. She was with us every step of the way. We really cannot thank Meggie enough and no way we can pay her enough for all that she has done for us. She was truly a blessing as we started out without a wedding planner. I don't recommend it. Beyond our crises, there are so many things we would have never thought through. No worries with Meggie.. We were referred to Meggie by a family member that had recently been married as we were planning my daughters wedding. I thought having a year to plan would be plenty of time to do so on our own. I was so wrong about that and so glad we elected to call Meggie for help in planning the special day. From the moment we met Meggie we knew we were in great hands. She was very warm, friendly, and very personable. She provided excellent ideas and set a timeline that was attainable and provided feedback and fantastic ideas to my daughter’s vision. The wedding was everything she imagined and as the MOB was blown away on how easy the day was. NO stress as Meggie and her team was on point! We received so many positive reviews not only from guests, but also from vendors regarding the wedding and believe that Meggie was the key ingredient in making this day magical! If you would like someone that is easy and a pleasure to work with and will provide excellent service, you need to call Meggie. You will LOVE her and be glad you did!
Meggie Francisco is an excellent wedding planner. She is decisive, calm, patient, hard-working and always professional. She truly wants you to have the day you envision, and will work to see it through until the very end of your wedding night! She is not only creative, but because of her experience and expertise in the bridal industry, she will make extra sure you are getting everything you paid for in your contract and will communicate with your vendors. She has good taste and great judgement and will pay attention to all the tiny details with a smile on her face. A good sense of humor about everything is nice to have around too (which is a lifesaver when you yourself are going crazy with wedding planning and your mind is spinning with all the details and to do lists).

Meggie Franciso was my day of coordinator for my wedding a couple of weeks ago in New Braunfels ,Texas. It was such a pleasure to work with her and her assistant( and also husband, Matt). Meggie has a passion for what she does and it shines through in every email, phone call, or meeting. Meggie set up numerous phone, and in person, meetings with me( sometimes lasting hours) just to make sure that everything for my wedding day would be EXACTLY like I wanted
Planning a wedding can be stressful and probably more stressful than I had realized at the beginning. Meggie took off all of that stress by dealing with the vendors for me, setting up to do list, shopping for centerpieces I couldn’t find, and even making some DIY décor for my ceremony. No task was too small or too big for Meggie. There were certain lanterns that I was looking for in bulk to use for my centerpieces, but I was having trouble locating. I mentioned this to Meggie and within a couple of hours she had found them for me and alleviated the stress. Meggie has a way of turning what could be stressful situation into a pleasant one.
Weeks before the wedding, Meggie sent me a timeline of how the day would go, and she confirmed all times with each of my vendors. Meggie also set up a timeline of everything for me to do the week before, day before, and morning of the wedding so I could see how everything would go. What a relief it was to not have to worry about everything that had to be done on my own and it was all laid out in front of me what my tasks were.
Every detail of my décor and schedule were discussed on how I would like for things to look and the day to go. No detail went unnoticed. If it was important to me, it was going to be done. Meggie and Matt executed all of my wedding day décor exactly like I had imagined it the day of the wedding. They both went the extra mile to even steam out my linens the morning of the wedding because there was a small crease in them. Everything was beautiful and nothing was overlooked. The day of the wedding I began to stress( like all brides do as the wedding approaches) and Meggie calmed my nerves and reassured me it would all be perfect, and it truly was. The day of the wedding I was able to sit back and relax knowing that my event was great hands.
After the ceremony, Meggie had a drink waiting for my husband and me. I don’t think our glasses ever went empty the entire night. Meggie and Matt checked my husband and I into our hotel for us, and our belongings were waiting for us upon arrival back to our room. Meggie also sent all of our cards from guests back with us that night. What a nice time it was for my husband and I to be able to read our cards together in the room that night. Also in our room were lit candles, a bottle of champagne, and a gift basket from Meggie Franciso Events full of yummy goodies for us. It was so nice to arrive to all of that after the day.
My parents, bridal party, guests, and even my other vendors, were all impressed with Meggies abilities and her willingness to handle anything and everything that came her way. Everything Meggie and Matt did was with a smile. She never made me or anyone else feel that we were a burden or a inconvenience for her. I was told numerous times how much of a blessing she was, and I already knew it myself. My wedding would not have been what it was without Meggie. I highly recommend Meggie Franciso Events for any event you have to plan, as you will be in GREAT hands.
