Meg is AMAZING! My husband and I decided on an "al la carte" style wedding. We had to find and bring in everything on our own. When we finally realized we were in over our heads we found Meg, and she saved the day! Meg consulted with us and was honest in the level of her packages she felt we would benefit from. She was available to help us every single detail of our wedding from the big scary stuff (last minute caterer switch) to the small intricate details (decorating and boutonnière pinning). She helped to put our minds at ease in the months, weeks, and days leading up to our wedding and keep our wedding day stress free. We would not have had our picture perfect wedding without Meg Shultz and her team. You will be please with all she has to offer!
Meg is incredible! We used Meg to plan our wedding starting over a year in advance. She has the perfect combination of creativity, organizational skills, and patience that together make her an excellent wedding planner. She was always responsive, even during her busy season, and beyond patient when my family members all had different opinions during the planning process. She is also very well-connected in Vermont and was able to secure or recommend almost all of our vendors for us - together they made the best team. Finally, Meg is thoughtful about everything - for example, she snuck treats for our family's dogs in our welcome baskets. I highly recommend Meg - she will go above and beyond to make sure your wedding day is special and that you can enjoy it to the fullest!
We had an amazing experience working with Meg. We met with her before even choosing a venue and she gave us a wonderful brainstorming/getting organized session where we started to form the shape of what our wedding would look like. She spent a day with us visiting venues and gave very helpful insight and suggestions into choosing the right place. Once our venue was chosen, Meg was in regular contact with us about choosing our vendors and dealing with problems that arose with our venue or other planning issues. She was an extremely calming presence during the hectic planning process and every time I spoke with her I was put at ease. We had some high-maintenance and difficult family members that also benefited greatly from Meg's expertise and reassuring personality. Meg is extremely organized and this became very clear as we approached our wedding day as she had everything laid out with each vendor so things would go smoothly. On the wedding day Meg made sure that everything went like clockwork and again, was a very calming presence. Her interns were super prepared and useful throughout the night, always making sure I was taken care of. We ended up having a very hard time with the coordinator at our venue and if we didn't have Meg to guide us through this process, the wedding wouldn't have gone as well as it did and I probably would have lost my mind. Hiring Meg was the best wedding-related decision my husband and I made and we will never forget how important she was in making the day as special as it was. If you want a snooty, bitchy, tightly-wound wedding planner like you see in the movies and on tv, then you probably shouldn't be getting married in VT and definitely shouldn't hire Meg. If you want to plan a unique, awesome day with someone that is warm, funny and extremely attentive to what makes you and your future spouse happy, then Meg is the woman for the job. would urge anyone getting married in VT to hire Meg, even if your venue provides a coordinator. Not only is she an amazingly creative, competent and organized wedding planner, but she is a kind, fun and totally special person that we feel so fortunate to have had in our lives.

I called Megan thinking I might want the help of a wedding planner. At no charge she walked me through what she could offer and once we realized it wasn't a good fit for me, she still gave me some great advice and tips as well as a checklist I used to make sure I didn't forget anything. I can't say anything about the end result, but judging from her on the phone she is organized, professional and a great planner.
Meg was incredibly easy to work with. After interviewing several event planners from the Burlington area we just really loved her energy, and we were not disappointed. Meg helped to plan an incredibly complicated multi-day event in the Northeast Kingdom, basically we built the event from the ground up. Though much of the planning was chaotic and there many cooks in the kitchen, Meg never appeared stressed and always responded very promptly. I know she has many events each year so the vast majority of our work with Meg was in the weeks closest to the wedding, and we did much of the preliminary wedding planning ourselves. I think we got a great deal with Meg and I would work with her again in a second.
I can't say enough good things about Meg Schultz and what she brings to the table.
I used her for a "day of" person to oversee and coordinate the vendors and moving parts. I reasoned that I could get all of the big pieces together but would need someone on the day to be the point person. As it turned out, she was instrumental in guiding me in the final stages, a sounding board for what works and what doesn't work, as well as that wise voice of reason and experience when I had an idea floating around. She was a great listener, super helpful in adding ideas and organizing the timeline. (She creates a spreadsheet like I've never seen of the timeline. It's SO helpful!)
In hindsight, I should have used her for the events prior to the wedding as well as the Sunday brunch. She was so valuable to have - I didn't have to worry about anything. I was so calm because I knew that whatever disaster was lurking around the corner, Meg would handle.
My husband and I are extremely detail oriented and have very high standards for accuracy and timeliness. Meg came through on everything and exceeded our expectations. She is tough (won't get pushed around) yet VERY pleasant to work with, always with a smile. She tapped our keg when the nearby guys weren't sure how to do it. She made fast decisions to get things done. She was tremendous.

Megan has this wonderful quality of putting everyone at ease and keeping things calm and in place. That is the most important quality in a wedding coordinator! Trust me! Megan is also a great listener, someone to bounce ideas off of, someone with a creative mind that sees your vision (sometimes even before you do!) and someone who is willing to help with any & all tasks at hand. She does all this and it's like being with your very closest friend. Guests are still talking about how lucky I was to have found Megan! She has a very strong work ethic and was at our house the day of the wedding at 8:30am and I know she stayed well past 10pm. That's a long day and we had many hurdles to work past (mainly the weather) and Megan handled each obstacle with the utmost grace. I would highly recommend Megan and I know that if you work with her you will feel as lucky as I do to have found her!
Megan was phenomenal to work with - from the initial contact, to the periodical phone calls, right up until the day of - she was very professional, organized and really just "got" what I was trying to execute. Every single person involved in the planning and executing of this wedding said what an awesome job she did. My fiance (who wasn't originally a believer in the need for a wedding planner in the beginning ;)) couldn't stop talking about how helpful it was to have her there. Megan was incredibly personable and always easy to talk ideas through. She was also very prepared for every phone call we had through the planning process, which was helpful for scatterbrained me... Then, on the day of, she really did an awesome job helping us out, getting all of the last minute details in place, helping to calm me down in the last few seconds before walking down the aisle, and making sure the reception ran smoothly. She gave me such a sense of ease during the entire day. So highly recommended
