Melissa was a wedding photography ANGEL for my husband and I on our wedding day! Not only is she incredibly talented and artistic (her photos are STUNNING), but she's also extremely professional, organized, great at communicating, and a JOY to be around during a very special day. Melissa provided us with beautiful bridal and wedding photos. She was helpful, quick to respond to emails, and punctual at events. She has a strong personality which had its advantages and disadvantages. Disappointed the photos were delivered late and there was some confusion with updated wording in our contract.

Melissa was a joy to work with during my wedding, and a true artist!! I immediately chose her as my wedding photographer after seeing how gorgeous her previous weddings photos turned out! No one else compared. She also had extensive experience shooting at our particular reception venue (Barr Mansion), so I knew I could trust her intuition and direction to capture the best photos. When I met her on the day of, she was so lovely in person, cheerful, and on it! Her assistant (Amanda I believe?) was also so nice and on top of things; they worked seamlessly together. Melissa was incredibly efficient and kept us going like clockwork so we could get all the necessary photos, and leave on time for the church. Most importantly, she was openminded to all of my questions and requests (like detonating color bombs that no one had ever tried before, props to her assistant for doing the trial run!). She had a great sense of humor throughout the whole process and made me feel so beautiful, relaxed, and excited. Melissa is an AMAZING photographer, a true professional in her industry, and an even better person. I met Melissa many years ago through a mutual friend at the time and throughout the years had admired her beautiful work. After moving to San Antonio and getting engaged, I searched for a wedding photographer, but just couldn't find the right fit. Finally, I reached out to Melissa - and by extreme luck, she was available the weekend of our wedding!! Melissa even called me from an airport layover before going on an international trip to talk details. We had her shoot some wonderful engagement shots in Austin - on probably the hottest, 108 degree, day - and she made my (sweaty) husband feel so comfortable. Where to start......From the minute we met until the it was the time to say goodbye to her, Melissa was a joy. Professional, yet funny. Her eye for the perfect spot, the perfect angle was superb. The best of the best!! I don't have enough awesome things to say about Melissa. I found her on Instagram after lookin at multiple photographers and fell in love with her work. I wanted to be sure I had the BEST photos of my wedding to remember our day and WOW!..I was blown away! During our engagement session she made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. At our wedding she was so patient and made sure she got all the right shots. Also I forgot to bring a cute hanger for my dress for the pictures but not to worry because she came prepapered with all sorts of things to make sure ALL Amy photos including my dress photo looked amazing. Melissa photographed my sisters wedding. Melissa and her assistant were both professional and friendly. My 23 month old daughter was the flower girl and can be quite shy with strangers. Where do I even begin! We hired Melissa for our engagement photos and our wedding. Being in the wedding industry I’ve seen A LOT of photographers work, and when I first started sifting through photographers for my own wedding, I had about 20 on my list. This was probably the hardest decision I had to make out of all my vendors, but I’m thrilled that we chose Melissa. First of all, our engagement photos were incredible. We went to 2 locations, had 2 outfit changes, and she spent almost 3 hours with us. We are obsessed with our photos, I don’t think I could have asked for anything better! She delivered them in about 2 weeks, which was great since we were on a time crunch to get Save The Dates out! Now for the wedding day! About a week prior to the wedding I hired Melissa for an extra hour! So glad I did! 8 hours is plenty, but that 9 hours really allows her to have more time pre-ceremony. She also met me at the venue a week or two before the wedding to go over everything and scope out the space. She arrived early on wedding day, and started shooting almost immediately. She was on top of everything throughout the day, and throughout the wedding I had several guests come up to me and make positive comments abut her. Melissa is a true professional, and a very down-to-earth and friendly person. She even sent us 6 or 7 photos two days after the wedding, which are absolutely stunning. I am thrilled to see the rest, and I know they will be just as amazing as the work she’s already delivered to us. I am so happy with my decision to hire her, and would 100% recommend her! It has been six months since our wedding and I still look and obsess over our pictures! I had a tight timeline, a huge wedding party and an even bigger family and Melissa was able to keep everyone in line and get the shots I had asked for. We are from Houston and were getting married in Dripping Springs so I researched lots of photographers in Austin. It came down to two and Melissa was one of them. With planning a destination wedding in Austin, I relied on our wedding planner to make vendor recommendations. She sent me a list of photographers and Melissa was on it (lucky for me!). I scheduled a phone call with Melissa to chat about what I wanted and from there I knew she was a perfect fit for us. She totally "got" what I was looking for in our wedding photos and had some great additional recommendations. Skip ahead to the day of our wedding and she was phenomenal. I absolutely LOVED working with Melissa Glynn Photography. It was lofty goal to find someone that just "gets" me, but I was able to find that in Melissa! :) Being 6 months new to Austin, TX and unsure where to start and who to hire, I met with and interviewed a couple of photographers before having Melissa recommended to me by a neighbor. My husband and I met her at a quaint Italian restaurant where we bonded over food, wine and an instant connection! We decided right then and there, that Melissa would be more than just our wedding photographer... but our friend too! We are so glad we chose her.... We had a late wedding on January 28th, 2017, that was set to start around 7:30pm at St. Mary Cathedral in downtown Austin, TX. The reception would run from 8:30pm-midnight (after the sun went down completely). This left us with the decision to try to take advantage of the daylight and take photos before the ceremony, or settle for only indoor photos after. I always dreamed of having my husband see me for the first time in my wedding dress as I walked down the isle, but Melissa helped me to navigate that dream. She talked it through with me, and we decided it was just best to see each other beforehand so that we could get enough photos. BOY, am I ever glad that she is the professional and that I listened to her! Those "before" shots and our "first look" shots are some of my most favorite from the entire day! Since my husband and I had seen each other, it allowed for an intimate time to pray outside the Cathedral, hand in hand, just before we went our separate ways, minutes before the ceremony. It was a moment I will cherish forever! It took so much pressure off my husband and I as I was walking down the isle. I didn't even have any of those crying down the isle shots! :) I was happy and beaming, as was my husband as I walked down the long isle of St. Mary Cathedral. I can tell you, that I didn't even SEE Melissa or her assistant in the church taking the photos either! They were THAT stealth ;) Now the photos... lets just say they were JAW DROPPING! She has such a great eye and has a way of capturing the moment and the energy without any fuss! She blended in perfectly with the crowd and was always on her A-game. I got lots of compliments from guests and family members about how professional our photographers were! So that is a major plus! I requested a lot of candid photos, and tried to avoid hours of staged portraits. I really am an easy-going gal and just wanted the real-ness day to be remembered in photos! From getting ready, to the ceremony, to the reception... I couldn't have asked for a better photographer to work with! One of the best parts was that she was able to send us some sneak peek shots just before our plane took off to Bora Bora for our honeymoon! It was great to have those couple shots just 48 hours post wedding day! How unbelievable is that? Since the wedding day, I have uploaded about 200 0f my "absolute favorite" shots to facebook! (how could I narrow it down any further with such magnificent photos?!) All of my friends and family compliment me on the wedding and the photos each time I have seen them since that crisp January day! We plan on using Melissa for any of our future photography needs, and are happy to call Melissa one of our dear Austin friends!
