We got married at the Please Touch Museum in August 2022 and I cannot recommend it enough. The venue is absolutely stunning and has a unique, whimsical flair that makes it stand out from other classic ballrooms in the city. We’re still fielding endless compliments on how gorgeous the space was – from guests who were there and others who simply saw the photos after the fact. What’s more is that you are in wonderful, capable hands with Lynnelle as your venue coordinator. She knows the venue and Brulee inside and out, fielded endless questions over the year-long process, and helped make our ~250 person wedding run beyond seamlessly. Would absolutely recommend!

I got married at the Please Touch Museum in September 2022. The venue is elegant and sophisticated, with a playful twist, but that is not the reason I chose this venue. I chose the most loyal, organized and competent venue coordinator, Lynnelle, and her team at Brûlée. They treated my wedding as if it were their own, catering to everyone in such a warm and professional manner. I truly believe that Lynnelle, Tony and Rosie are part of my family.

I cannot recommend the Please Touch Museum enough! Lynnelle is everything a venue manager needs to be: adaptable, communicative, and full of exceptional ideas. The Please Touch Museum is an exceptional venue to host an unforgettable wedding, but the staff makes it a dream! The Brûlée team is professional and will do anything that is needed to help the day run smoothly. I highly recommend the Please Touch Museum to any future couples getting married. You will be exceptionally pleased with this phenomenal team and breathtaking venue!

If you want a beautiful wedding, definitely look at the Please Touch Museum. It is beyond beautiful and my wedding guests are still talking about it. It is a beautiful venue and we had the cocktail hour in the Carousel Room. Everyone loved cocktail hour!! The food was exceptional and I had many compliments on how the guests loved it too. What I loved the most was how stress free they make your wedding day. The second that you step in the venue, they transform the venue into a magical day. You don’t have to worry about anything because Brûlée Catering does it all.
The only thing I would say they can improve on is communication prior to the wedding but I understand things can get busy during wedding season!

The Please Touch Museum was my dream wedding venue and after last week that dream finally became a reality! It really was everything I was hoping for and more — it is such a unique and whimsical spot for a wedding and I know our guests will be raving about the event (especially my grand carousel entrance!) for years to come. Lynnelle is so helpful and she was super accommodating in making our somewhat unusual vision for the wedding come to life! Considering everything that’s included in the package, I think it’s actually a really good deal price-wise, especially for the area. The staff were all great and our guests raved about the food. I would absolutely recommend getting married here. It was an unforgettable night and I am so thankful to PTM and Brulee for making our wedding dreams truly come true!!

Completely magical!!! We just got married at the Please Touch Museum at Memorial Hall... It was even better than I could have imagined!!! First of all the building itself is absolutely gorgeous and historic with high ceilings and ornate pillars... you feel like a million bucks just walking in. We had our ceremony in the foyer, our cocktail hour in the carousel house and our reception in memorial hall with blush uplighting, stars on the ceiling, and clouds from the Alice in wonderland exhibit lit in the distance. I felt like I was in a fairy tale. Everyone was amazed at how spectacularly beautiful the venue was. What's more, Chez and Lynnelle were amazing! I must have emailed each of them 100 times and they always got back to me quickly and were super helpful! The food was delicious and I even got feedback from my guests on how impressed they were with how smooth the service was! All together, I couldn't be happier that we put our trust in Chez and Lynnelle to make our wedding dreams come true!

If you want a fun and quirky yet classy and sophisticated venue, then look no further than the Please Touch Museum at the Memorial Hall. My favorite thing about this venue is that it's already so beautiful that you don't have to spend a lot on decor to "dress it up". We had our ceremony in the foyer, our cocktail hour in the carousel room and the dinner/ reception at Hamilton Hall. Our guests could not stop raving about how good it looked and the fun they had riding the carousel.
What makes this venue even better is that you get to work with Tiffany and her team. She and her staff were so professional, accommodating of our multiple requests, efficient and made this experience all around amazing.

We had our cocktail hour in the Carousel House at the museum, and our reception in the main hall. Guests LOVED the carousel (it didn't matter young/old, male/female, family/friends, shy/extroverted, EVERYONE was on that thing!) and it made for great photos! The hall was perfect for our large (250 guest) wedding, and the dance floor was spacious enough for everyone to dance, and for special events like our Chinese lion dance performance. Working with Brulee Catering and the museum made all of the dining logistics very easy. Would definitely recommend!

I had my wedding in December 2017
Overall I had a great time but I mean it's my wedding, so it would really be ridiculous if I didn't. Let's get to the details:
PROS
Beautiful venue (absolutely stunning)
Food was delicious!
Staff was great!
CONS
The mic during our ceremony was very inconsistent. Most of our audience did not hear the officiant or our speeches
The bar tenders for our wedding did not allow alcoholic shots to be given out during the entire wedding (even when the groom and I asked for one). I thought this was ridiculous considering we paid for open bar the entire night. Mind you, we were NOT obliterated or intoxicated to not warrant this. This was a rule they had since cocktail hour, which I was not informed of.
Overall: I would recommend this venue but I would NOT give 5/5

I reached out to the Please Touch Museum hoping to host my wedding there and ended up communicating with a coordinator who was slow to respond and not detail oriented. I decided to no longer pursue the venue as an option after she advised a family member who was following up on my behalf that she had provided me with information that was needed to proceed, when that was not the case. While it may sound minor, it completely turned me off of the Please Touch Museum and Brûlée Catering.

We booked the Carousel House for the Cocktail Hour and the Main Hall for the Reception and everything turned out GREAT!
Marley and her team were wonderful throughout the entire process. We booked the venue a little over a year before our wedding date. They were very accommodating with some customization of the package that we wished to purchase. As the wedding grew closer, we reached out to Marley more in regards to the tasting, floor layout, menu, signature cocktail, etc. and she and her team were very prompt with responses and also with trying to make the day go as perfectly as possible. The week prior, I probably emailed her a couple times a day to make sure that everything was set, and that drop off of other things (such as table numbers, birdcages, guestbook, bathroom baskets, etc) could be coordinated. Again, everyone was on top of all of the planning and set up and the room looked beautiful on our wedding day! The staff was attentive and we had a day of attendant that would bring us snacks/foods/drinks throughout the night. The staff also let us know when it was time for parent dances, speeches, cake cutting etc. Each and every person made our day go extremely smoothly and we had the perfect time! Would highly recommend not only the venue itself for the beauty and fun atmosphere that it created for us and our guests, but also for the high level of professionalism and individual attention that everyone gave us throughout the entire planning process.

We had our wedding reception at the Please Touch Museum memorial day weekend 2016 for 300 people. We could not have been more impressed with the service and quality. We also worked with Starr Catering for another event and our experience with Brulee at the Please Touch Museum far surpassed any other. We had very specific requests for food and they accommodated us for multiple tastings, including speaking personally with the head chef until we were happy with the menu. And the food was the BEST wedding food anyone had ever had.
We worked primarily with Marlee who was incredibly accommodating. We needed a very fast turn around from the time the museum closed to the beginning of our event and they did everything they could do accommodate our florists and get the venue set-up for our event.
Additionally, they surprised us on the day of the event with an extra hor d'oeuvre and a bottle of blue label for my husband.
And the carousel was a HUGE hit! Some of our guests even asked if we brought in the carousel. We actually had to extend the carousel hours due to overwhelming demand!
One huge concern we had was that they wouldn't let us see the venue set-up for a wedding ahead of time and we were underwhelmed by their Open House Event. However on the day of the event they far surpassed our expectations.
THANK YOU!

My husband and I had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Please Touch Museum. We wanted to provide our guests with a romantic, yet unique experience. We received compliments about the venue all evening. Whether it was the beautiful dome ceiling, amazing arches, or the carousel during our cocktail hour our guests were captivated by the beauty of the building. Everyone at the museum was accommodating, professional, and friendly. Brulee Catering did an amazing job with our appetizers and entrees. Our guests were raving about the food all night. I would absolutely recommend the Please Touch Museum to all of my friends and family.

This venue was PERFECT for our wedding. It accommodated our large size 265+, old soul/classic side (Memorial Hall was built for the Centennial in 1876 so the architecture is classic and beautiful), and our quirky/fun side with the museum exhibits and the carousel (you get to ride during cocktail hour). Everything is so stunning and grand, you don't need to add much to the venue for it to look gorgeous. It was just what we wanted for our special day.

My husband and I were married at the museum last week and we are still raving about it. Our cocktail hour was held in the carousel room and our reception was held in Hamilton hall. My guests had a blast on the carousel and thoroughly enjoyed the passed hors d’oeuvres. Hamilton Hall was transformed into a magical and elegant space. The dinner was so delicious. From the very beginning, Brulee catering specialist Marley Aliig was organized, professional, and made the whole experience so much fun! I highly recommend the PTM!

When my husband and I were searching for a reception venue, we both agreed that we wanted something unique to Philadelphia and not your standard ballroom/country club. Originally I had dismissed the Please Touch Museum (PTM) because the most basic package was above what we wanted to spend (we were trying to keep it under $150/head and their packages start at $160/head). We had looked at another popular museum in Philly and were getting ready to book a date when my then fiance realized the price we were quoted was not inclusive of the taxes, service fees, etc. Suddenly that venue was very much out of our price range so I called the representative from Brulee Catering (the exclusive catering company for the PTM) and was told that the $160/head was, in fact, inclusive of all additional fees.
When we toured the venue, we first met our wedding coordinator Marley who works for Brulee. She was very thorough and answered all of our questions and concerns. We booked that week. I know that this sounds silly but one of the things that I loved most about the PTM was that it included your choice of linen for the tables and napkins. Most packages include just basic white linen but we had our choice of different fabric and colors.
Some of the things that I loved about working with Marley and Brulee was how helpful and attentive she was. Marley helped us through the entire planning process and sent us gentle reminders when she needed information/payments/correspondence from us. She was amazingly good at returning my emails (some of which were definitely after normal working hours); which, especially towards the end of the planning process, was extremely helpful to a stressed bride. Marley has an incredible amount of experience helping to organize wedding and events and it showed in everything she did. I never had any concerns that something would go wrong that she couldn't take care of the day of. She even helped to arrange a special request for me three weeks before the wedding (she did all the leg work for me).
My guests and family could not say enough about how nice the reception was. Not only is the venue beautiful and historical, we got to have our cocktail in the carousel room. (Guests even got to ride it...how cool is that?!?) Everyone said that the food was the best wedding food they've ever had (people could not stop talking about the short ribs) and the staff were unbelievable. Its obvious that the staff there are very experienced and everything ran incredibly smoothly. Our maitre de and bridal attendant were absolutely wonderful too.
The only negative things I have to say is that it is frustrating to work with a specific cateter that upcharges for any additional upgrades or personalization. I know that this is not specific to Brulee but I felt that it was difficult to add personal touches without paying more. Same goes for the uplighting. Again, I know that this is the norm for weddings, I just wasn't happy about it. Also, some of my guests mentioned that it was difficult to get hourves dourves at the cocktail hour because the wait staff came out of a door on one side of the room and trays would often be picked over by the time the waitors reached the middle of the room. Finally, the ceilings are so high that anyone sitting next to the band/speakers had trouble hearing and had to stand up and move to hear speeches. Again, not the PTM's fault, just something I noticed. Just have your DJ/band move the speakers over.
I love the PTM!

Absolutely LOVED our wedding at PTM! First off, the venue is spectacular--where else do you find a working carousel inside a museum for your guests during cocktail hour? Brulee Catering was amazing and the chef even designed a special entree just for us. Marley, the coordinator and day of planner was a dream and even when things got REALLY crazy she was the calm in the storm and so helpful to me. PTM is probably a bit pricier than some other local options but trust me when I say, it will be your dream wedding and worth every penny.

A nice note from the parent's of the bride from a June 2014 wedding.
Hi Marley,
We have been enjoying the afterglow of our recent wonderful wedding event at the Please Touch Museum and I just wanted to say how over the top pleased we were with everything! Our guests raved about the food, the venue, the service and how much fun it was to be in that environment and we know it all ran smoothly because of hardworking and capable people like you and Orlando and obviously the staff. so we wanted to send a note of personal thanks to you and to him and to the staff! I would do another event there in a heartbeat!
Thanks for everything!

We originally chose the Please Touch because we wanted something different. We got EXACTLY what we wanted and more. The venue looked INCREDIBLE. All of our guests thing we must of spent over 500,000 dollars for the elegant and classy look we achieved... little do they know we DID NOT spend anywhere close to that!!! We worked with Kim Rifici and Bill Cook and I can truely say I already miss these two and its only been two weeks. Both Kim and Bill were incredible!!! I must of send over 1000 emails and I got an answer to every single one. There is not one bad thing I can say about this venue. Everyone told me that something is bound to go wrong on my wedding day but only I will know so not to freak out-- I am pleased to report that because of Kim and Bill NOT ONE SINGLE THING WENT WRONG!!! And if that isn't enough you get to have a fully functioning carousel for your cocktail hour!! It doesn't get any better then the Please Touch Museum as a wedding venue. Aside from the venue the food from Brulee catering was sensational! I can't even think of a fancy enough word to describe how delicious all our food was!!! all around 100% amazing!!! I want to get married every week just so I can do it at the Please Touch Museum!

If you are kids at heart and want a fun, yet classic wedding venue, the Please Touch Museum is the perfect fit. We could not have found a more amazing venue to suit our style. The exhibits and carousel for cocktail hour were so unique and fun for our guests and Memorial Hall itself is absolutely stunning. Our guests all remarked at what a playful, beautiful, unique and dramatic space it was. The vibe of the museum carries through to its staff who all seem to genuinely love being there every day and were so happy for us as a couple. Bill was so sweet and organized! Everything went off without a hitch and made for a truly magical day.
It was also pleasure to deal with the folks at Brulee, PTM's exclusive caterer. Kelley was very professional and helpful, answering all of my questions and reminding me when things were due. Orlando and his team were excellent, as was our attendant, Shelby. We thought the food was fantastic and our guests agree. The crabcakes in particular were crowd favorites. Every detail of service on our big day was perfect.

This venue is simply amazing. It's beautiful inside and out! Our guests were totally surprised and awed by how beautiful it was -- and all of them were stoked about the carousel! The staff at the please touch were AWESOME. I cannot stress that enough. Although I kept wanting to worry about guests showing up who hadn't RSVP'd or RSVP'd no and then showed up (yes, this happened!) but they took care of everything without ever having to talk to me. For the staff alone this place is worth every penny!

From the day we walked into the museum to visit until the last dance, everything was perfect! The staff bent over backwards for me and also treated us like we were old friends which meant a lot. During such a stressful time, they made sure everything was handled and taken care of seamlessly. Brulee Catering could easily let their venue sell itself; because let's face it, the Museum is the most unique, exceptional venue in the city, but instead they sell their phenomenal customer service, terrific food, and party planning abilities as well. I really don't have one complaint whatsoever and my guests were blown away!

My husband and I did not want our wedding in a hotel ballroom or catering hall. Well, this venue was awesome! Who else offers a carousel for the guests to ride? There is only one caterer for the venue which was a positive for me (less decisions to make) but I. Could see how other people may be turned off by this. There were multiple menu options to choose from and they were extremely accommodating for special requests/needs. The event coordinator Kim is very responsive to email, almost always within 15 to 20 minutes, especially when we got closer to the big day. Everything was clean, the food was great, if there were any glitches,I certainly didnt know about them. My guests continually complemeted us on the choice of venue.

A letter received from very pleased Parents of the Bride ...Dear Kim,
One of the many words comes to mind to describe the reception for our Daughter's wedding is SPECTACULAR!
In our opinion the food was the best the city has to offer and we have attended many functions over the years. The service was impeccable, not only at our table but especially for all of our guests. The bar was all the rage and appreciated by everyone. The venue was excellent and the room looked fabulous and everone who our guests came in contact with was courteous and truly cared about their comfort and enjoyment.
We especially want to thank you for taking the extra care in making sure that our Daughter's special day was as memorable as it was. Your attention to detail and your personal touch made an extraordinary impact on the success of our reception. From start to finish every detail was thought of, thought through and covered. You were wonderful to work with we would highly recommend you and your company without hesitation.
Warmest regards,S & NWedding ~ August 2010
