elevated, and superb quality. Our cocktail hour was incredible. First and foremost - the raw bar - with oysters, clams, crab claws and shrimp. Everything was fresh, oysters being shucked right at the bar, hand drawn butter for your crab claws - perfect. We had 4 stations (included in all packages) of a cheese display, antipasto, grilled vegetables and fruit display, as well as 2 chafing dishes of sesame chicken and fried calamari. Our hand passed hors d’oeuvres included bacon wrapped sirloin, bacon wrapped scallops, and raspberry and brie wrapped in phyllo to name a few. Additionally - we added on hand passed sushi at Mercer Oaks. Mercer Oaks does not have an exclusive sushi vendor, so we were allowed to bring in our own sushi for the cocktail hour. Having this flexibility from Mercer Oaks was amazing. The dinner hour was perfect. We chose 2 salads (family style) because we couldn’t just pick one option for our guests. We opted out of a pasta course and instead chose a raspberry and basil sorbet as a palate cleanser, and also a welcome bit to cool everyone off in the July heat. Our entrees were perfect - cooking 75+ steaks at the perfect temperatures is incredibly difficult. Our guests had beef, chicken, fish, and vegan options which was absolutely perfect being able to give our guests more choices. For all that we got, what’s also impressive is the price. Mercer Oaks provided food and service that would have cost at least double, if not triple, at any other venue. Not only did they provide incredible food, they worked with all of our vendors for seamless set up and provided us with so much flexibility in our choices that we customized our wedding to be exactly how we wanted. Anything we asked about changing or having was able to be accommodated, without a huge cost for the upgrades, or even any cost at all for some of the swaps and customization we did. day went perfectly. The food was incredible and we had so many people comment on how delicious it was. The golf course and grounds were beautiful and we had a gorgeous spot for the ceremony. You have to check out Mercer Oaks, you will not be disappointed.
