f throughout the whole process was incredibly welcoming and kind. The venue was absolutely gorgeous, iconic, and has so much character and we couldn't be happier!

ning, however she was off the day of our party—understandable given it was on a Friday evening. We planned the party to order food but do a cash bar for guests to meet the minimum total. This was our decision to help cut wedding costs, but also to make sure our guests weren’t too spent on the wedding the following day. Unfortunately, we had a few missteps in the evening. We were short a bartender (which prompted guests to order from the inside bar where drinks weren’t added to our total), the reserved space was smaller than originally agreed (limiting seating and space for our 100-120 guests) and the valet started turning away our guests stating they were only taking overnight cars which made parking difficult on a busy downtown weekend. The most frustrating moment was about two and a half hours into the event when the assistant manager notified us that our bar tab was only about $900 (so we were expected to pay the remaining balance to meet the minimum requirement). This didn’t seem correct. We had over 100 people at our event for over two and a half hours with cocktails at about $12/each; the math didn’t add up. The manager had left already but I was able to speak with him, and he agreed to review everything and follow up with us after the weekend. Shortly after this, the assistant manager came back again and said the total was closer to $2100 and we still owed a few hundred more. This still didn’t seem correct but given the circumstances of our wedding the following day, we just paid for the remaining amount. Come to find out later, the designated bartender was not charging our guests for the first half of the evening. Overall, our guests greatly enjoyed our event, but the logistical issues were questionable, and several things seemed to go awry. Proceed with caution when planning an event here—beautiful venue, but concerning management.

so informative and knew the answer to every question I had. We fell in love and received a quote the next day and thankfully it was within our budget! From that point forward we emailed back and forth with Kennedy throughout the 15 months that we were planning our big day. She was beyond communicative, I never had to wait on a response, and always felt secure in the process. Physically, The 9 is a STUNNING venue. Historic and classy, I could not picture a more perfect place to get married. I wanted a venue that spoke for itself, and did not want to have much decor. The 9 delivers exactly that! We had a tasting to decide or menu as well and the head chef and bartender both met with us to discuss anything we wanted adjusted. They also accommodated our gluten and nut allergies. I can not say enough great things about this venue and Kennedy and her team there!

he vault for cocktail hour, and the amazing ballroom space. from start to finish kennedy was extremely responsive and i knew we could trust her from the beginning. she was so accommodating, made us feel so special, and made our wedding SEAMLESS. the food was absolutely delicious, shoutout to the chefs and all of the staff who helped make our day perfect. we have had so many compliments from our guests about the beauty of the nine and how incredible their experience was AND how good the food was. my husband and i can’t be happier with our choice of having our special day at the nine. we will def be back every anniversary. again thank you x 10000000 to my girl kennedy i couldn’t have done any of this without you. thank you so much!!!

r compromised on attention to detail. Between the Vault and Ballroom, our suites, our guests’ experiences, and so much more, we are beyond happy with our choice. Plus, with so many gorgeous photo spots throughout the hotel, we didn't have to add another photo stop on the way back from our church ceremony. Everything went according to plan and all of our guests raved about the experience. We wish we could relive our perfect day again!

tion then I would highly recommend the 9! Kennedy, their event coordinator, is AMAZING to work with. She made us feel so comfortable and was very knowledgeable. She answered all questions timely and was wonderful at giving recommendations and making our vision happen. If my original plan was to have a wedding in Cleveland, I would have held off on hiring a full wedding planner because there’s no need with how hands on Kennedy and the 9 are! For the wedding weekend, the 9 provides a presidential suite for the bride to stay at the night before and the day of. They also provide a room for the groom to sleep in the night before. The bridal party was able to get ready right at the hotel which made the weekend stress-free and also feel like a mini vacation. The 9 provides elevated food, drink, AND dessert with multiple tiers to choose from to fit different budgets. The food/drinks were easily the best I’ve ever had at a wedding. They provide linens, chargers, all glassware/cutlery, and décor if you choose. They help with the set up and clean up so the next morning all I had to do was pack up my car and go! They even packed and stored the leftover cake for us and our anniversary cake! At the end of the night, our room had late night snacks and cake ready for us (things you don’t actually get to enjoy during your own wedding). Pretty much every aspect of wedding planning is covered with the 9 and anything that is not (such as florals or a DJ), they have recommendations for if you don’t already have someone in mind. I would easily choose the 9 over and over again for a Cleveland wedding! We are looking forward to enjoying espresso martinis a year from now for our one year anniversary stay!

nnedy was on top of her game and knowledgeable and professional about everything. She was one of the main reasons we picked the 9 because we knew she would be so helpful throughout the planning process. She was prompt to respond to emails and questions and always available. She was flexible in picking out options for the wedding and always tried to work with us to the best she could with what we wanted. The food / beverage tasting prior to the meeting was well organized and a lot of fun. Kennedy kept us in the loop leading up to the event to make sure we had everything organized. She also offered her professional opinion which was very helpful when trying to balance all of the options there are these days and opinions from others. The day of the wedding was an absolute dream. Everything was gorgeous, the space was very clean, food was delicious and nothing went wrong. Kennedy was there and available to ensure success. All of the other staff was great as well! Drinks were delicious and service was great as well. The Vault for cocktail hour was one of our guests favorite part. In the ballroom, we comfortably sat 180 people with three bars that were never backed up. The dance floor looks small but ended up being a great size and we had everyone out there dancing. The staff did not miss a beat when it came to bringing out the food, reopening the bar, serving the cake and the late night bites. The clean up was fantastic too and everything was organized for easy pick up in the AM. We also had organized a section of the rooftop bar to be reserved for after the wedding which the guests loved. On top of it, it was so nice to be able to just take the elevator back down to our hotel room. Three weeks later and our guests are still raving about what a beautiful venue it was. So look no further for the perfect venue and most helpful sales manager, Kennedy, ever. Thanks again to everyone at the 9 who made it such a memorable experience.

For example, during our reception I mentioned feeling a bit sleepy, and Kennedy immediately offered me a cappuccino or an espresso martini (or both!). There were a million other moments and details like these made us feel so special and taken care of—the staff were all so sweet, thoughtful, and genuinely dedicated to making sure we had the best day ever. To add a bit of context, my new husband and I live in Ireland, so planning a wedding with an 8-hour time difference in the States could have been a challenge. However, Kennedy and the 9’s team made the entire process so easy and seamless. You'd never know there was any time difference at all—Kennedy was always there with a fast, kind, and helpful response to all the questions we had no matter the time or day. She also coordinated and took care of all the vendor communications during the week of the wedding to ensure that everything flowed perfectly on our big day! We seriously felt like royalty throughout the entire week. If I could give 10 stars out of 5, I would! If you're reading this and haven't chosen a venue yet, book the 9’s now—it will be the best decision you'll ever make! We had guests traveling in from all over the country, and we’re STILL hearing about how fun and amazing our wedding at the 9’s was. We had so many people say our wedding at the 9’s was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been to, and everyone couldn't stop talking about the delicious food! (The amazing food gets mentioned in every single review for a reason—it's SERIOUSLY some of the best you and your guests will ever eat). All the staff were so kind and helpful, making our guests feel welcome and well taken care of, especially since many of them were visiting Cleveland for the first time. I can't recommend Kennedy, the 9’s staff, and the venue itself enough. We couldn't be happier with how perfect our wedding week was, and we'll be forever grateful to the wonderful team at the 9’s. We can't wait to visit for our anniversary next year!

Kennedy and her entire team, including Michael and Eric, went above and beyond to ensure everything went smoothly on our special day. Kennedy managed all the vendor communications efficiently, making sure everything was seamless. From start to finish, everything was perfect, thanks to the wonderful team at Metropolitan. This place will always hold a special place in our hearts, and we can't wait to return for our first anniversary!

packages they offer which include everything so it makes it so easy since I was anxious we would forget to book something. Also the packages are totally customizable so that was always a perk. Kennedy was the best coordinator we could ask for and was so helpful and easy to get in touch with, she would always answer right away. This venue also knows a lot of the local vendors so that made it easier to to get in touch with everyone. We also received a bunch of compliments on the food. The food was fantastic and best wedding food I’ve ever had, and not just saying that because it was our wedding. The bartenders and rest of staff were also so nice and kind and our guests loved them. Again I can’t say thank you enough to the 9 for the amazing wedding and I urge everyone to book with them!

We inquired into the utilizing the venue as a result of a sentimental history and role that the establishment played in our early relationship. Kennedy sealed the deal after our tasting meeting where it was clear that her attention to detail and communication abilities were exceptional. She maintained a high level of professionalism and quick response time throughout the experience and made sure that everything was absolutely perfect.

Kennedy, Social Sales Manager, was fantastic with communication throughout the process. She was available the week and day of to help our event run smoothly. She assisted with input and was very accommodating throughout the process. The rest of her team, especially Micheal (Banquet Manager), was amazing. They made us feel calm and assisted throughout the night. Micheal went out of his way to ensure that we (bride and groom) were well taken care of. The whole team supplied us with cake and pizza in our room at the end of the night as a nice surprise.

Everything being all in one space for the ceremony, cocktail hour, reception and even the hotel rooms was so easy and made the entire day run so smooth. I still can’t believe how much the staff did at The 9 and how perfectly they executed every small detail for us. There were so many things we never even had to worry about the day of our wedding because Kennedy was so on top of it! I am still getting calls and texts about how amazing everything looked and how cool it was to have our cocktail hour in The Vault. Thanks again to Metropolitan at the 9 for an amazing wedding weekend! And thanks to Allie for answering all our questions, and ensuring that our wedding was flawless.

She even brought me ginger ale and pepto when my stomach was upset. The banquet manager Erica was also absolutely fabulous and helped us tremendously. The 9 literally took care of EVERYTHING and made my life so much easier. I was able to relax and enjoy the day because the staff was just so incredible. Another favorite about the 9 is the versatility. We were able to have our rehearsal dinner, ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, and after party all on the premises at the different areas available. The 9 was also able to accommodate our 2 dogs and treated them like royalty. The dogs were in our ceremony and even joined us on the rooftop for our after party. If I had to do it all again I would go right back to the 9!

She came on staff a month or so before our wedding, which made me extremely nervous, but she was incredible. The food and drinks were of course amazing as well. Highly recommend this venue!

Russ and David worked with us to create a custom barrel aged cocktail as our signature sip. It was so incredibly cool and one of the best cocktails I've ever had! The entire staff is fantastic. Everyone was always super helpful and accommodating, we truly felt like royalty the whole weekend. The 9 is an amazing place for pictures! We got city-scape pictures on the rooftop, awesome vintage-esque pictures in The Vault, and some really pretty shots in the Rotunda (3 totally different vibes all without leaving the hotel!) We had our ceremony and reception in the Mint Ballroom, and in between, the cocktail hour was in The Vault while they completely transformed the Ballroom. The few of us even went up to the Azure Rooftop bar at the end of the night to keep the party going. Also, the food was incredible! Everything was great when we came in for our tasting, but what impressed me the most is that the quality was just as great the night of the wedding when they served almost 200 of us. We heard compliments from our guests all night long about EVERYTHING. (Our family and friends still bring up how awesome everything was over a month later.) Thank you all for everything. I'm so happy we had our wedding at The 9, I couldn't have dreamed up a more perfect night!

Furthermore, this place ready caters to weddings and will go the extra mile to treat you with 5 star service both during and leading up to your wedding. What's more despite the seemingly significant food and drink minimum the venue will not gouge you on anything. As long as you meet the minimum pretty much everything is included and a lot of other amazing features are included at no cost. Can't say enough about this venue we loved it. You won't regret it.

Those details made me, as the Bride, feel calm and confident and confirmed that they genuinely cared about our big day! They gave the discounted room rate to my guests who booked last minute, accommodated all needs, and were so easy to work with! Not to mention that the venue is: -walking distance from everything downtown - has stunning photo opportunities inside (making rain okay) - The Vault makes for a killer cocktail hour. Instead of standing awkwardly at tall tables, my guests got to check out The Vaults many rooms - Only one wedding at a time occurs, unlike some venues - Amazing food - Large Rooms - A rooftop bar, movie theater, gym and grocery store all inside

She also worked with our DJ to coordinate a live stream of the Time's Square New Year's Eve ball drop during our reception. It was magnificent. The venue itself is majestic. The crystal chandeliers and vault walls made for incredible pictures. They also offer pieces of old Cleveland Bank boxes to use as centerpieces. They were lovely! Last but not least, the customer service was remarkable. Staff was silent, but everywhere. During the wedding weekend, they made sure our family members had drinks whenever needed and at no extra charge. Simply said, everything fell into place with the help of the staff at the 9.
