Such a beautiful venue with so much history! On our initial walk thru with our daughter ~ she knew the Miami Beach Women’s Club was the spot for her special day! We signed a contract pre-Covid and had to postpone the wedding for 1 year. Post-Covid numerous additional charges were added to the contract without our knowledge. Our daughter was married this past Saturday! The setting was stunning. Downfall came once cocktail/dinner service began! Horrible service provided by the kitchen and serving staff. It took two hours for the guests to be served dinner. Food was cold, under cooked/over cooked. Some guests were never even served. When we tried to rectify the issue, we were told that if we wanted faster service, we should have requested the buffet option. Jessica Santiago who oversees the venue should establish better business practices. Another downfall to the venue is the parking situation. If you do choose this venue, be prepared for an additional cost to hire a valet service the night of the event. There is just no other way to do it. The bride and grooms car was towed because the towing companies in Miami Beach are vultures. I would highly recommend hiring a good wedding planner as all the recommendations the vendor made we were unhappy with. Those included in this list were the DJ, florist, and original valet company, that had to be fired for lack of professionalism. Lastly, DO NOT use any hotels that are owned by the South Beach Group. Guests and family members were not happy with either of the boutique hotels that were recommended.
We had our wedding reception at the Miami Beach Woman's Club on 11/09/2019. The venue is very beautiful with significant charm and history. Perfect setting for a wedding reception. When we went to visit the venue we knew from the moment we walked in it was the place. The decor and tables looked beautiful and our vendors did a fabulous job in making it special for us.
The only issue we had was with the venue was the parking. We had booked the venue with Alison 14 months in advance. Since booking, a new team was managing the venue. We had it in writing that there would be valet parking at the and we would pay for each at the end of the evening. Upon arrival at the venue there was no valet parking and our guests had to find parking in other areas around the beach (not easy). If you're booking this venue, make sure it is clear - triple make sure! Our wedding planner worked this out with the venue rep. and the hotel across the street to have our guests park in the rear lot. Other than this issue, we had a positive experience.
Just a lovely place with very accommodating staff. We used the side entry space for the ceremony, cocktails on the patio and dinner/dancing in the main room. It was a perfect evening and exactly what the bride envisioned. Thierry Isambert Culinary, Andrea Sherman Events and Alison Colberg made it all happen! You won’t be disappointed with this venue!
Miami Beach Woman's Club is the most unique and magical place to have an event. We were looking for a venue with character and different from everything else for our wedding, and MBWC's was it, I fell in love with it from the first moment. Alison is the best, she worked with us and our budget from the first day, and she was super helpful in making our day happen and be special. She is knowledgeable, provided vendor recommendations, answered all our questions (and we had many) in a timely manner, and patient. On our wedding day she was there to make sure everything ran smoothly, and it did!!
This is a beautiful and very well managed venue. Alison Colberg, the Event Director, was such a pleasure to work with. She respects the budget and has many vendor recommendations. She helped put us in control of our wedding, and allowed us to plan a day that reflects our personality and was so much fun for our guests. Mariangela Del Bianco, our day-of-coordinator, was organized, enthusiastic, and kept us stress free on our big day. Their catering team is excellent, serving delicious food with friendly service. My husband and I are so happy and grateful we were able to find this lovely and unique venue, and at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend the Miami Beach Woman's Club and the team that works there.
wonderful venue to get married in or have an event! the moment you walk in you feel the charm and history that many new venues do not have to offer. the amount of space is great. we had a 130 person wedding and it was very comfortable. the venue has outdoor seating as well so the wedding had a great flow of guests coming inside and out of the venue the entire night. Alison, at the woman's club, was wonderful in helping us plan everything. she also had wonderful recommendations for vendors for us. we had so many compliments about the venue, it couldn't have been more perfect. definitely worth checking out for any special event !
The Miami Beach Women’s Club is a beautiful venue. The wood interior and open layout allows for a classy, elegant, and spacious event. We booked them for our wedding in Feb 2018 and couldn’t be happier with the result. We even used their huge stage for the dance floor! Alison is super sweet and so easy to work with. She truly cared about what we wanted for our wedding and was willing to offer suggestions to make it happen. Alison made herself available to answer our questions and was proactive about contacting our vendors for the big day. Thank you Alison for being so great and contributing to the happiest day of our lives!
Small room for improvement: We booked them for our cocktail hour too (open bar) and, towards the end of our wedding, the bar ran out of whiskey. Just something to keep in mind if you plan on booking them for providing alcohol at your event.
From the moment we saw the Miami Beach Woman's Club we fell in LOVE!! The beautiful ceilings, floors, and THE DOORS! From the pics I knew it was exactly what I was looking for. Then we went for a tour and met Alison the coordinator and that sealed the deal! She was able to work within our budget and she was always available to answer my 394728328 questions. She even handled my last minute requests with ease. From helping me coordinate my hotel rooms, to finding my favorite Moscato there was no request too large or small for Alison.
On my Big Day, my guests enjoyed every aspect of the day... the venue, the food(people are still talking about the food!), the service... I got soooo many compliments and it was in large part due to Alison and the staff at the Miami Beach Woman's Club. While there were a few hiccups here and there, I can truly say I had the wedding of my dreams at the Miami Beach Woman's Club!
We are so glad we chose MBWC as our wedding day venue on Sunday, Nov. 5th, 2017--it was truly a dream come true! We were planning to have a small, intimate wedding, and when we visited with my now husband in January and we saw that grand entrance with the Moroccan teal/red doors, we looked at each other, and we knew the place was for us! (Even though I originally wanted an outdoor wedding!) That grand hallway is so beautiful and unique for Miami, and worked perfectly for our intimate wedding of approximately 60 guests (but you can fit more). I didn't like traditional ballrooms, and in MBWC I found the uniqueness I was looking for. Also, the photos our photographer took by the door inside and that beautiful fireplace are a dream! (Outside there's also neat little pockets outside for photos too!)
Service was top-notch--Alison was such a pleasure to work with, she greeted us so warmly every time we visited, and was so patient with us through the process. I asked tons of questions regarding venue rules and layout, and she always got back to us within a normal turn around time. The day of the wedding there was a confusion with my vendors and coordinator during set up, and Alison and her team stepped right in and fixed the problem (can't thank her enough for that!). During planning, she also helped us work with our budget--It worked out better for us to use their catering, and we were happy with the buffet--the salmon was amazing!
Other pluses to mention: the venue already has gold chiviari chairs and large round tables included! So that in itself was so useful and money-saving! There's also a stage which is nice (we loved having a jazz band during dinner).
Only negatives: being in Miami Beach, parking is a challenge, and you have to use the valet, and pay per car. And inside the reception hall you can't use real candles, only LED, due to all the wood (both things totally understandable!)
All in all, I would definitely recommend without hesitation everything about Miami Beach Woman's Club! We keep hearing back from our guests how lovely our wedding day turned out, and we know an important part is because of the wonderful venue. Thanks again for making it possible!
One of the best wedding decisions we made was choosing the Miami Beach Woman's Club as our reception venue! After touring this venue, we instantly feel in love with everything it had to offer. It's rustic and elegant charm is truly unlike any other venue in Miami. My wedding guests still rave about how beautiful this venue is. Words cannot describe how amazing Alison, the venue event director, was with us! She was attentive and responsive to all of our needs leading up to our big day. If you are looking for a unique and elegant wedding venue, this is it!
We started our wedding venue search back in March. Out of all the venues we had on our list we visited this venue first. The same day we took the tour we put the deposit down and booked for November. The beauty of this venue took as back from the very start. First, let me start of by saying Alison, the director of the venue, was absolutely incredible to work with. I’m a bit of a perfectionist and must have visited the venue 5-6 times during this process. We even had all of our vendors come for a walk through all of different days which Alison accommodated happily. My dad visited the venue a few days before the actual wedding and wanted to change around our seating. Alison happily accommodated him and gave him tips on how we could make the seating perfect since we were pretty much at the venue capacity for guests. Alison truly made the whole process so smooth and stress free. The actual venue was incredible. Everything from the beautiful hallway to the red doors to the turquoise doors to the fireplace room to the wood floors to the chandeliers was perfect. All of our quests had something to say about the venue. They all said it was beautiful and cozy, which was absolutely correct. It felt so intimate and romantic at the space which was one of our favorite parts. I loved the way we did our seating. We had 142 confirmed guests and prepared seating for. We did 2 farm house tables of immediate and close family on the stage along with the sweet heart table. It fit perfectly and made for a truly special experience for us and our family. On the main floor we had a nice size dance floor along with 8 round tables and 3 farm house tables in the middle. Everything fit perfectly. Since the venue was so intimate there wasn’t a bad seat in the house. I feel like all the guests had a great view at all times. In the fireplace room we had a cozy lounge area with some couches we brought it and battery operated candles all in front of the fireplace. In the hallway we had a dessert table and bar that fit perfectly. I cannot express how beautiful it all was. When we walked into the venue for the first time we broke into tears (mainly my mom and I since we had worked so hard to bring the vision to life with the other vendors) it was a fairy tale dream come to reality. I would highly recommend this venue. Especially if you are looking for something rustic yet elegant. It is absolutely perfect. In miami it is so scary doing a wedding outside which is what a lot of people do for rustic weddings but this venue truly brought out the vision we had for our “rustic glam” wedding. I’m going to miss the venue and meeting with Alison. She was truly a pleasure and the venue was perfection. Best of luck to all you brides searching for the perfect venue. I hope this honest heartfelt review helped with your search!
I just had my wedding at this venue on September 30, 2017. This was the only venue my husband and I looked at before we decided that this was "it". It was a pleasure to work with Alison during this time. She was very responsive to all my emails and the night of our wedding, she was there the entire night an assured everything went smooth along our wedding planner, Stacey. This venue is absolutely stunning and all our guests were speaking about its beauty. We loved our wedding here!! Highly recommend it.
Amazing venue with an amazing staff. Just had our wedding there and the venue event director Alison Colberg was a pleasure to work with - very responsive, professional and never skipped a beat. She and her staff made our special day extra special. I highly recommend letting the Miami Beach Women's Club handle your catering needs - the food was fantastic! It is a gorgeous venue with a lot of charm and unique architecture that makes for amazing photos.
The Woman's Club was the perfect venue for our intimate wedding. If you have 50- 60 guests the entry hall makes a lovely setting for the ceremony, and the adjoining hall was perfect for our reception. After learning that the venue has strict policies regarding decor (nothing can be suspended from the beamed ceiling, etc.), everything went very smoothly. Alison was extremely professional and pleasant to work with. Having in house catering and bar made planning the wedding less stressful, and overall the venue was a great value. Alison will do her best to give you the wedding of your dreams and work with your budget.
We loved our experience in your establishment. The food was amazing as was the service from the staff and employees. Alison was especially attentive and turned our hectic day into one where we were able to sit back and enjoy my daughter’s wedding. We look forward to having many more events at your venue and of course making sure you cater the event.
We had the most magical wedding at Miami Beach Woman's Club! It was a perfect night! Alison was incredible; she was helpful, accommodating and patient, and truly made us feel special. The space is gorgeous; in fact it is so beautiful that we barely had to spend our budget on decor. The food was delicious and the staff were excellent. We recommend this to anyone looking for a place to host their wedding.
Gorgeous venue! Plenty of space, and easy to create different spaces using the two outdoor patios, lounge room, and main ball room.
Really, this should be a 4.5. The only thing that I didn't love about the venue was the parking but that is a South Beach problem, and I'm sure can be expected everywhere.
The venue is breath taking. It was actually the first and last venue we saw because both my husband and I immediately fell in love. There are many different rooms to be used across the venue and we were able to have both our ceremony and reception in the space. We even had cocktail hour outside. All in all, we used 3 different rooms which each had their own distinct feel.
The food was great. We opted for buffet since I'm a fan of keeping the party moving vs stagnate. Lots of compliments from guests, and husband and I really had a great day doing the tasting (we even decided to pick up our license that day and made the whole experience extra special).
Being a part of the South Beach Group was very helpful as we were able to leverage the venue for our hotel booking. We were treated exceptionally kind and given a very competitive rate for our room block. Also, while we didn't move forward with it, we priced out other restaurants within SBG for rehearsal dinner. Very fair pricing and great offerings. Being locals we just decided to go to our favorite restaurant instead.
I'm saving the best for last, and that's the venue coordinator, Alison. If I could rate her alone, it would be a 5. Alison was hands down the most helpful person we interacted with during our engagement. Everything from table rental, officiants, recommendations on linens, she was attentive, and quick (same day answers) and always with a smile on her face. Being local lots of important people (read, mom, mother in law and best friend) wanted to see the venue beforehand. Alison kindly arranged her schedule so I could pop in and share the space. Meeting people like Alison make me sad that we only get married once in life.
Overall, I highly recommend this venue. While its close to 100 years old, it's been closed for 30 years and has that "new" not overly done feel. If you are a local bride, you will really enjoy the process seeing the venue and getting excited. If you are a destination bride, trust that you are in good hands with Alison by your side.
Working with this team was a dream. My day was truly special because of how wonderful Alison was with my husband and I from the very beginning. Every request was met and we brainstormed about many options that would make our day extra special and it was just that! Thank you again Miami Beach Women's Club!
The Miami Beach Woman's Club was amazing. The venue is beautiful with its rustic charm. Our guests were amazed at how beautiful everything was! Alison was so helpful in making sure everything came out perfect. Thank you to everyone who helped our special night be amazing!
Perfect venue for a smaller wedding. Our guest count was about 80 and it worked. The space is beautiful, the food catered by the venue was so delicious, and the convenience was key! We stayed across the street at the Tradewinds Apartment Hotel and everyone was happy. Alison Colberg was very responsive and accommodating. All in all a very streamlined experience that made planning from New York less stressful.
Our reception at the Miami Beach Women's Club was exceptional. The venue was gorgeous and Alison was a great help leading up to and throughout the big day!!
What a beautiful venue…we couldn’t be happier that we chose the Miami Beach Women’s Club for our wedding. We fell in love with it from the start. It has a historic charm, and unique look and feel. The beautiful interior has been lovingly restored while keeping all of the original details of the building. It is a very versatile venue, with two romantic outdoor patios as well as a spacious interior — we used every single area for the wedding! Alison was a pleasure to work with, very thorough and responsive. She worked both with us and our wedding planner down to the last detail, and was genuinely excited about our big day! The Tradewinds Apartment Hotel across the street was also a very lovely — not to mention convenient — place to get ready as well as spend our wedding night together. We can’t wait to see all of the gorgeous photos our photographer took!
I had a great experience overall! The wedding was a month ago and my guests still talking about it and liking pictures on Facebook. What I loved about the place is that you don't have to put too much effort on decorating it because the character of the building speaks itself. I had the ceremony, the happy hour and the reception there; it was amazing because it looks like we were in three different facilities when in reality we were at the same venue. Having all in there was a good thing because Miami traffic is crazy and we would waist a lot of time. Alison is a really good manager, she has a lot of patience. The service from her and the catering was amazing. They are really polite. The food was good the only thing I didn't like about the food was the "chicken a la plancha" because it was dry/over cooked, but everybody liked the pork. They talked a lot about how tender, juicy and good was the pork. I can't complain about anything else. They had the food ready when I told them to. The variety of desserts was a looooot. I didn't have any so I can't tell you about how they tasted. I don't know if I am missing anything else, but that's my opinion of my experience as a bride at the Miami Beach Women's Club.
