fund since we will no longer need the cake, Well they will cancel my order but not give me a refund! If this isn’t the most coldhearted, non compassionate people I have ever spoke to. I never in my life came across such horrible customer service. Now I been coming to this bakery for years but never again! Someone lost their life and they are worried about keeping my $50, I can see if the cake was already made but the order is for Friday pick up. Please anyone who is reading this and considering using this bakery find another place. There are a lot of good bakeries out there with good compassionate owners. The wedding cake turned out to be the masterpiece we were hoping for. Our vision of a single-tier, round 7-inch cake with pearls and purple floral designs was brought to life with precision. The cake was beautiful and the vanilla flavoring with peanut butter mousse filling was delicious!
Our entire experience with Michael Angelo’s was seamless. They were responsive to questions and flexible with last-minute adjustments. I called on a couple of occasions leading up to the wedding to change our pickup time and request a container to store some pieces for our first wedding anniversary. The cake was ready for pickup on time and came with the storage container I had asked for, which provided one less thing to worry about the day before our wedding.
Michael Angelo’s is highly recommended for any couple seeking a beautiful and delicious wedding cake. They create a memorable and stress-free experience. The wedding cake was a reception highlight, and my husband and I appreciate Michael Angelo’s for making our sweet dreams come true!

It would have been great if they could have delivered our cakes (3-tiered cake and full sheet cake) to our reception venue for an additional fee even though it was far away, but I understand that they did not have the personnel or resources to do that for us. It also would have been nice if they had a cake stand for us to rent like they used to do before customers stopped returning them. However, we do not have any regrets with booking them for our wedding cakes, and we had so many compliments from our guests about how amazing the cake tasted!

Also, the staff was very friendly and suggested we have a smaller tiered cake and then to get sheet cakes for the guests. This allowed what we wanted within our budget. We had someone pick up our cake and they said it wasn't ready when they got there. Which I had called to confirm the pick up time.
I would like to mention that because of Covid, we postponed our wedding twice and they were very accommodating to the date changes.

wedding cakes are kind of hit or miss these days. The staff at Michael Angelo's was very receptive and professional, and the cake turned out absolutely perfect. Everyone really enjoyed it, and there wasn't much left over which is exactly what we wanted.
The only reason for the 4 star rating is that we were never offered a delivery option because we didn't order a certain threshold of product. After discussing this in depth with some of our other vendors that have worked with this bakery for years, they were even put off by this. This did not affect the product by any means, and the cake was still absolutely perfect, but we did run a minor risk by having to have someone deliver it. I didn't like the threshold limitation for delivery (we would've even paid for it...) because in our opinion wedding cakes aren't as popular as they used to be...

Our in-store consultation was disappointing; the woman who worked with us was hardly attentive and sort of rushed us through the appointment. She seemed more concerned with what was going on elsewhere in the bakery than talking with us. Nonetheless, all of the cake samples and filling options were delicious, and our decision was easy. We also picked a pretty basic cake, so there wasn't much time needed for that.
Be sure that you specify to the bakery that you want them to bring a box when they deliver your cake IF you plan on saving the top layer. Our planner reminded us to do that, because in her experience, the bakery doesn't always provide that automatically.
When it came to our wedding day, everything was perfect--the cake looked beautiful and tasted great! We selected white cake with a light, whipped frosting; three tiers, and a lemon raspberry filling. All of our guests complimented how delicious the cake was, and we are looking forward to our first anniversary when we take the top layer out of the freezer!

decoration, etc. What I thought was really helpful was that their information is available online so you have an idea before your appointment. I also brought in my own pictures of cake ideas I found online and they appreciated that! I do not recommend making an appointment on a Saturday because they are very busy! (a good thing!). Our contact was helpful in guiding us to make a decision! Our cake was just as we envisioned it and we were very happy with it. The only issue we faced was the delivery option - make sure you learn about qualifications for wedding cake delivery. Overall, this was a great experience and I recommend local brides checking them out for cakes (and other bakery options they have!).
