10/10 — We Couldn’t Have Dreamed of a Better Wedding Planner!
We are beyond grateful that we found Michelle and had the opportunity to work with her for our wedding at Europa Village – Vienza Garden in Temecula on September 26, 2026. We started working with Michelle in May 2025, and if we could go back and do it all over again, we genuinely wouldn’t change a single thing about our planning experience.
Michelle helped turn our dream wedding into a reality. She has been in the wedding planning industry for many years, and her experience was evident from the very beginning. She was incredibly knowledgeable about every aspect of the planning process and helped us think through details we didn’t even know we needed to consider. She also knew which vendors were exceptional and which ones would be the best fit for the type of wedding we envisioned.
One thing we especially appreciated was Michelle’s ability to help us prioritize our budget. She helped us identify the areas that were most important for us to invest in while showing us where we could cut back without sacrificing the overall experience. We ended up using every vendor she recommended, and we were absolutely blown away by how everything came together on our wedding day.
Our wedding day was truly like a **well-oiled machine**. Michelle and her team handled everything seamlessly, including coordinating vendor arrival times, setup, breakdown, and all of the behind-the-scenes logistics. They made everything happen with minimal involvement from us, which allowed us to actually relax and enjoy our wedding day instead of worrying about logistics.
Michelle also created an incredibly detailed day-of itinerary that told us exactly what we needed to do, where we needed to be, and when we needed to be there. Having that level of organization gave us so much peace of mind.
What made our wedding even more special was how personal and unique it felt. At the end of the day, Michelle’s services were worth **every single cent**. We honestly don’t believe we could have achieved the wedding we dreamed of without her. She allowed us to enjoy the experience of getting married without being overwhelmed by everything that goes into making a wedding happen.

s pre-booking experience was frustrating enough that I felt it was worth sharing.
I’m helping my sister plan her wedding and originally contacted Michelle specifically asking about day-of coordination. Her initial response referenced a possible 90-day minimum service; she invited me to a consultation and, during our call, explained that she creates customized proposals. Based on that, I reasonably believed some form of shorter-term coordination might be available. At no point before or during our consultation did she make it clear that full-service planning was the only service she offers. Had I known that from the beginning, I would not have continued considering her, as that was never the service we were looking for.
Michelle had also contacted the venue before our consultation to confirm their planning requirements. I appreciated the initiative, but we were still at the stage of trying to understand what she offered and had not asked her to coordinate with the venue. The venue later clarified directly to us that, for my sister’s specific wedding, a planner could begin as little as 30 days out rather than 90 days/full planning.
I followed up very respectfully with that clarification, asked whether she could offer a shorter-term option, and even asked about scheduling a second call with my sister and mom because we were still genuinely considering her. Instead, she questioned who I had spoken with, said she didn’t think we were a good fit, and sent a screenshot of her own conversation with the venue. I was never disputing what she had been told; I was simply relaying different information that had been confirmed directly to us for our specific wedding. After I clarified that, I received no response or acknowledgment of the misunderstanding.
That exchange felt unnecessarily defensive and argumentative and, in retrospect, left me with the impression that the conversation had been heavily focused on full-service planning rather than her available services simply being made clear from the beginning. Her design work seemed nice, which is why we continued considering her despite the initial confusion. Ultimately, though, the communication completely put us off. I would not have left this review had the situation been handled with basic professional respect, but I do think future couples should be aware of how simple inquiries and clarifications may be handled.

t it was also completely smooth sailing. If there were any issues behind the scenes, my husband and I never knew about them. Michelle is a true professional — calm, poised, and completely unflappable throughout the entire event.
But our journey with Michelle began long before the wedding weekend. Planning a wedding, whether big or small, can be overwhelming — endless vendors, bridal shows, venues, and opinions pulling you in every direction. Michelle not only has a trusted list of preferred vendors, but she curates recommendations that fit your aesthetic, personality, and overall event vibe to build a cohesive and harmonious team.
I came to Michelle with so many ideas swirling in my head, and she brought every single one of them to life — beyond my wildest imagination. Thanks to her organization and expertise, we had our entire three-day celebration fully planned and buttoned up six months before the big day. Then, because I can be a bit mercurial, I threw a major curveball three months out: I wanted to completely flip the spaces — an indoor ceremony and an outdoor garden dinner. This meant a full redesign and transforming a traditional ballroom into the ceremony space of my dreams. Not only did Michelle make it happen, she nailed it. She knew exactly which vendors to bring in and executed it flawlessly.

We knew we wanted to work with her from our first conversation- she asked thoughtful questions and understood and was excited by what we were trying to create. Considering we were living in DC while planning a wedding in Palm Springs, we knew we needed someone we could trust wholeheartedly. With Michelle, that was absolutely the case. It was evident she was professional, kind, smart, creative, and competent. This ensured us that we could trust her with every recommendation and decision we had to make. rk pretty trying jobs and I was not planning on taking any time off during the planning process specifically because we paid a hefty amount to have Michelle fully plan all of our 3-day wedding. Of our total vendor count, Michelle found us 2 vendors we decided to go with, she never gave us options at all for any vendors — there was always just the 1 she suggested and she wouldn’t provide the information on that one vendor until it was too late to look anywhere else. She didn’t bother to help us stay even remotely close to our budget despite our asking many times, and was completely unreachable aside from forwarding us bills to pay. One example of her awful planning was when I told her my number one priority was cake (because I’m a baker), she ended up suggesting a cake vendor that was horribly suited to us and whose cakes were dense, overly sweet, and not unique in any capacity. when we went out on our own to find another cake vendor to use, they turned out to be in the same city Michelle lives in with better pricing. Why hadn’t she given us any choices except that one horrible vendor to begin with? Why did I have to go searching in Michelle’s own area to find another cake vendor 3 weeks before our wedding from across the country?
Let’s move to “weekend of”planning. Michelle arrived at the hotel hours late because she hadn’t appropriately budgeted for traffic, already upset that we weren’t available to let her come get things from our room that she refused to let us ship to her directly. Because she was late (I’m assuming this was the cause), our table assignment display (which we had discussed multiple times, I had drawn a diagram of, I had taken time to write explicit instructions for and literally only required her and her assistants to stick a record in a sleeve) was completely wrong and confused our guests to the point where they complained to us and family members who were most likely to be offended never received their record. One might think she’d make up for all this with her great attitude and friendliness? No. One of our vendors we were already close to told us about how rude she was and a “run-in” he experienced with her on our wedding weekend and she did nothing to help the flow or flexibility of timing during our wedding. Despite an extensive call with our photographer about the time and locations he’d need to use, michelle did not help to coordinate that timeline which resulted in us not being able to get photos in the one signature area of our venue that we wanted and ultimately we got pushed out to the parking lot of the venue to take photos in 113 degree weather. She was snarky and dramatic with my mother and father in law at multiple points throughout the weekend. The desserts and cake we had to find? Shoved in a dark corner on wedding day, the fact that we asked to save our top tier of the cake —she ignored that request (we’ll never get that one back so thank you Michelle!). The napkins and matchbooks my mother in law had printed for us? Never used, found in a box returned to our room from the planner’s room after the weekend. to be honest I’m just thankful she stayed out of my way that weekend but I hope this helps other brides find a planner that will truly care about a day that holds a significant memory for them.

imes as humans we miss the mark and don’t walk away when we should despite better judgment. In hindsight, we were not a good fit for one another but the false statements here are disappointing. I did my best to manage expectations, adjust my workflow to fit their needs, go beyond the scope of our contract to be of service, and advise on budget reductions to keep costs in check. Couples are in full control with how their money is spent. Couples should also read their contracts carefully so they know what to expect and can agree to adhere to the terms before they sign.
This review is not reflective of how I have provided exceptional service to my couples for over 18 years, and the actions of the couple towards me at the wedding events. On the wedding day, I received smiles, hugs and a thank you. I have a very different account of how the entire experience unfolded but at the end of the day their perception is their reality and I wish them the best.

She took time to get to know us as a couple to create a very personalized "us" wedding. Her team is also top notch and I ended up feeling stress free and like a guest at my own wedding. A bunch of our guests keep raving that this was "the best wedding" they've ever been to - I might be biased but I have to agree!

lls and hired Michelle Garibay to handle everything since we live in Virginia. We met with Michelle once to select the space, and everything else was done online and over the phone. Super easy. Michelle handled everything from the unique furniture rentals, the spectacular flower arrangements, beautiful linens, the perfect lighting and even the music. Both events were absolutely amazing! Our rehearsal dinner space was on the 18th green - completely dark by sunset - so Michelle had pink uplighting on all the surrounding palm trees and rattan lanterns and white lights hanging over the tables. The welcome party highlight was the enormous pink round bar with more flowers than you could ever imagine draping over head. For the music, she was able to hire Moses Lin for us and he was incredible. Truly , Michelle exceeded every expectation we had and made the entire night before the wedding a really special event.
My son and daughter-in-law planned the entire wedding with Michelle and every detail was even better than expected. They had hoped for a fun and relaxing Palm Springs feel with the beautiful backdrop of the palm trees and desert mountains. Michelle created a pink and white checkerboard dance floor with flowers that fit into the natural surroundings. The result was incredible.

No words can truly express how beautiful our rehearsal and wedding was. The rehearsal was perfect, from the table settings to the beautiful succulents. We loved the vibe of the night and could not have chosen a better location. Inside the barrel room was so pretty and we loved all the details and dried oranges. The food was delicious, and the servers and bartenders were so nice. Everyone said it was like a mini wedding from the outside with the lights to the inside with the drapes over us. It was beyond gorgeous.
The wedding was everything I could ever dreamed of plus more! I kept taking small moments and looking around at the details from the table sets, to candles, to beautiful flowers, to our amazing sweetheart table. The sweetheart table was so amazing, the setup was great and made us feel so special with our cabaña with lights. The falling flowers off the table and on the sides of the cabana were amazing details. It was so much fun and so well planned. Thank you to your amazing team for being there early and setting up during the hottest day ever! I hope everyone was safe with no issues. Courtney was so sweet and helped me feel comfortable all day! I loved having her nearby at all times to help keep everything on schedule and move people around to the correct location. She helped with fanning me, keeping me cool calm and collected all day. Everyone loved her and were so thankful to have her around. You and your team were so sweet and setup a beautiful wedding. I am looking through all the pictures and videos of the day and just smile at it all!

ing forward with MGE and what stood out to me during our initial conversation was that she listened more than she spoke - I really felt like she wanted to understand our vision and find the best way to add value while bringing it to life and that's exactly what she did!
Michelle is incredibly responsive and solution oriented which I couldn't have appreciated more. My work schedule is pretty crazy so I would often email Michelle between 9pm and 11pm (not expecting her to respond) and she would still manage to respond within minutes. An in-person mock-up meeting with florals/linen options was also really important to me and the night before our meeting, the showroom flooded. Michelle found a way to get everything we needed delivered to the venue that day so we could still have the meeting. I couldn't have been happier that we didn't have to cancel altogether, she made it happen! Her spirit of responsiveness and resourcefulness never wavered throughout our entire year of planning.
Michelle also has incredible connections that I was SO grateful for throughout the planning process. We decided last minute to include a custom envelope liner in our invitation suite (Michelle's great idea) and she was able to find an artist who could turn it around in less than 48hours so our invitations wouldn't be delayed. The liner really made the entire suite pop! I also wanted to add a custom dance floor last minute (I think less than a month before our wedding) and she had that locked in less than 24 hours, incredible!!
I could really go on and on, the day itself was executed flawlessly and I never once worried about how the actual day would unfold because I knew it was in excellent hands with Michelle. I was even bummed a few days post-wedding when I realized I hadn't saved a menu, lo and behold, our bride and groom menus were tucked away safely for us in our day-of items box. She doesn't miss a beat!
We are so grateful for everything Michelle did for us to help create the wedding of our dreams and we couldn't recommend her more!

Michelle went above and beyond even from the very beginning when she took us to 5 different venues in 2 days all across SoCal, from LA to SD to Palm Springs, we saw it all! Michelle did our vision board, (got my exact dreams and vision on paper) and helped with everything! We even had a detail meeting at a winery! Michelle feels like family when we are all together. She really knows her stuff and will give you the best advice while keeping your vision alive. On the wedding day her and her assistant Caroline did an amazing job. I didn’t even know that we had a cake mishap on the day of, but I found our that Michelle saved the day and remedied the situation and well as other small details. Throughout the night she kept us on track and was totally on top of it. Her assistant Caroline was great as well and she kept us informed on everything and did a great job making sure my dress wasn’t dragging! From the beginning, she was there for me via text/email whenever I needed help with vendor recommendations, input on decor designs, or had my random bridezilla-like freak-out moments about other vendors and needed advice. Cara was like my wedding therapist at times. The process was so organized - I loved how everything was laid out (ie, forms with deadlines on things I needed to have done) and the online portal was easy to use. Cara created a seamless timeline for the day of and took care of coordinating all the vendors, etc. at our unique/remote venue. tire planning process. She had honest and helpful advice and she is full of ideas and resources. Our wedding was at Temecula Creek Inn and Cara coordinates with them SEAMLESSLY!! I got so much reassurance knowing that Cara worked so well with them. She helped us replace a vendor when one of them went out of business, she suggested design elements that helped elevate our decor, and importantly she told me what was NOT worth it or not needed. She kept me very grounded.
In addition to being an experienced professional who is highly organized and responsive, she also has a very friendly and relaxed demeanor which was helpful to balance some of my nervousness. She provided reassurance that we were on track throughout our planning. She also got along with all of our family members and helped make them a part of the process as well.
One of the things that I found most touching is that she makes you *feel* like a bride and the most special person. She took a lot of work off our plate so that we could enjoy the days leading up the the wedding. She kept reminding us "You don't have to worry about that, I will take care of it." I may have a Type A personality but I had so much confidence handing everything over to Cara. She really allowed us to enjoy every moment :)
On the day of our wedding, I was completely speechless about how beautifully everything came together and I know that it took a lot of hard work from Cara to make it happen. We are deeply grateful for all her time and expertise and giving us so many sweet memories <3

ld. Whenever I felt overwhelmed with all the decisions I had to make leading up to the big day, Cara was always the one bringing me back down to earth and helped ease all of my anxiety. To me personally, communication is huge and Cara exceeded my every expectation in that category and so many more. On top of all that, she introduced my groom and I to the most amazingly organized wedding planning website so trust me ladies there's no need to go out and buy any books or planners of your own. She is extremely resourceful when it comes to every vendor you can think of wanting to have at your wedding, too. Don't stress about adventuring up and down the Cali coast finding the perfect one because she gives you a good list for every vendor right off the bat. Cara always had my back during the process and when it came to the big day, anything I needed to ease my nerves she was on top of it. My only regret with Cara is not getting more time to spend with her outside of stressing about the wedding because she's actually a very genuine human being.

lt like she was far away. Alex was always there checking in on us, checking the status of our to-do list, offering guidance and professional opinions, and offering support when things got crazy. Our wedding was perfect down to the very last detail - she coordinated everything so beautifully and my wedding day was easy, stress free, and absolutely magical! I honestly couldn't have done it all without Alex.

amazing it was to work with her. She made the whole planning process so easy, specially since we were an out of state couple. From the initial consultation, Michelle and Carly were so attentive of our needs and answered all of our questions.
My husband and I got married on 6.29.19. We can't emphasize enough how smoothly the entire day went. We know we owe it all to Carly!! She was always one step ahead of the game the day of and if something did go wrong, my husband and I were never made aware of it because Carly must've handled it.
Choose Michelle and her girls as your wedding planners; they will not fail you! Thank you so much again to Carly for the sweet personalized gift she sent us!! We loved it, and wish we could relive this day.

provide us with a couple of options for vendors to choose from (credible vendors that MGE had collaborated with in the past).
2) Extremely organized! Reminder emails and an interactive website that helps with budgeting, timelines, etc were much appreciated.
3) Quick to respond to our questions - texts, emails, phone calls, Michelle never left us hanging.
4) Experienced! Her experience in wedding planning really helped to refine our ideas in to a cohesive, stylish event.
We were very pleased with the way everything came together on the big day and we were genuinely stress-free knowing we were in good hands. Thank you again to the MGE team!
