This review is long overdue, but I wanted to share my appreciation for the pros at Michelle Wright Artistry.
Zhenya, the lead artist for our wedding, was a delight to work with. She listened attentively and answered all my questions. Her warmth and sweetness immediately put me at ease when I met her, which in turn made me that much more comfortable on the day of the wedding.
Both artists did a wonderful job enhancing my bridesmaids’ natural beauty and making them feel even more radiant. Their expertise and attention to detail were evident in every brushstroke and curl, resulting in flawless hair and makeup that lasted throughout the day and night.
What truly impressed me was their willingness to listen and adapt. After the first trial, I had some changes in mind, and Zhenya and Michelle made every effort to understand my requests and execute them flawslessly. This really sets them apart and speaks volumes about their dedication to their clients.
In summary, I cannot recommend Michelle Wright Artistry highly enough. Their professionalism, talent, and genuine care made the getting-ready process a joyous experience. Thank you, Zhenya, for helping me feel beautiful on my wedding day!
This is the team you need to hire ASAP when you know your wedding (or other event) date! Michelle and her team were a dream to work with. The response time is unbelievably fast, so nice and accommodating, and very professional. Her website, brochures and contract leave zero questions! They’re easy to read and understand, and they cover everything! The day of my wedding was PERFECT! Michelle and her assistant came to my hotel room to get everyone ready. They brought such a sense of calm to a potentially stressful morning. Everyone was at ease working with them and had so much fun! We were all ready ahead of schedule, even with a couple of touch-ups. I felt absolutely GORGEOUS when she was done with my hair and makeup! I couldn’t ask for anything to have been different. I am so thankful I found Michelle Wight!
Michelle did a phenomenal job on my hair and makeup, as well as my mom’s and the bridal party members. She was so efficient that we were all ready well ahead of schedule! Michelle is so kind and accommodating. She really listened to what we all wanted, but also made recommendations for what she thought would hold up best in the humid weather. I highly recommend Michelle!

I’ve known Michelle for almost 20 years. I’ve seen her grow her craft into the amazing business it is now! (Even with us living in different states)
When I got engaged I knew that no matter where I got married Michelle was going to be my beauty person.
Even with some stressful travel, she flew to Buffalo, NY (schedule changes that included her flight back having a 8hr layover, again I’m soo sorry Michelle) she was absolutely AMAZING!!
I had one bridesmaid that was hesitant about getting makeup done since she always felt like she looked completely different, but I reassured her Michelle would make her look like herself just ready for the camera (This bridesmaid never wears makeup) and boy did Michelle nail the look! My bridesmaid said it was the best makeup job she’s ever had, like ever!!
As for my makeup, I couldn’t of ask for anything more! I felt absolutely beautiful!!

Michelle is so kind and funny! She and her staff are so easy to talk to while they work. My party looked gorgeous, and my hair and makeup on the day turned out even better than the trial (and stayed all day and night!). Couldn't have asked for better.
Michelle was wonderful to work with. I got married on Orcas Island in Washington State. She ensured she was on time, bright and early, to start my wedding day, even though the ferries were a disaster. My bridesmaids and I had a great time and loved our looks. I would definitely recommend hiring Michelle for all of your wedding day needs.

Sarah did our hair (6 bridesmaids and the bride) and we were so happy with the results. She also did my makeup and respected my wishes for light, yet still noticeable. Hair and makeup lasted throughout the rest of the day/night.

Michelle and her team were amazing to work with. We had to postpone our wedding multiple times, and she was amazing throughout all of that. Not only that, but my hair and makeup looked exactly how I wanted them to. She did an amazing job. I would absolutely recommend her for your wedding or special event.
Day of my wedding Michelle was great. She was recovering from surgery so had an assistant (I believe her name was Crystal), which was very proactive and no additional cost to me. They brought everything to my hotel which made getting ready easy. The two of them were able to do full hair and makeup for three people in 2.5 hours, and we were ahead of schedule. Me and my two bridesmaids have very different hair texture and style preferences, so I loved that they were skilled enough to create three different but equally beautiful looks. I loved my wedding hair! Michelle and I had some rescheduling troubles with my trial and communication mishaps which caused me a bit of stress which is why I'm giving her 3 stars. She has hired an assistant which I think will be beneficial to 2022 brides.

This vendor was the worst person to work with, not to mention they RUINED a scheduled part of my wedding day!
Makeup and hair artists were 30 minutes late/uncommunicative the day of the wedding, then ran over time, which wouldn’t have happened if one of them didn’t leave early. We were stuck in the hotel doing makeup until 5:30 pm.
Michelle was not on site for my wedding day. She has not contacted me privately to make this right or give a sincere apology.
Michelle spent time every day posting on the business’ Instagram story while I was trying for weeks to get in contact, but that's as much as I could find in the form of any consistent customer communication.
In summary: If you're looking for professional hair and makeup, there are a lot of people out there who can wield a blush brush and curling iron - I strongly suggest you find a business who cares about customers and their actual service experience.

I would like to address the following, your wedding was booked...
, 7/22/21 seven weeks before your wedding date 9/18. The reason we had to exchange so many emails was due to our schedules not aligning for your trial date. As you know 2021 was a very busy season and we already had September clients whose trials had been scheduled for several months. I was trying very hard to find a time that worked for you and for our team.
Our stylists arrived on 9/18 to provide hair and makeup services, one of the girls arrived 30 min late and I take full responsibility it was a miscommunication, I was on location myself sent you a message to try and connect over the phone, you then replied: "she just arrived".
In regards to your timeline, in the email you sent to me you stated you needed to be ready by 5:00 pm. My stylists sent me photos when they left your hotel and services were complete by 4:26, again I take full responsibility that one of the girls arrived 30 min late causing you unnecessary stress. The final service that went over was an add on service that we were trying to give good customer service by accommodating, we were told this client was not part of the bridal party.
I did reach out to you personally, on your wedding day and again last week. I sincerely apologized for the late arrival and the stress that caused.

I booked Michelle to do my hair and makeup and some additional services for my intimate wedding in November 2021. Michelle was great! She was prompt with communications and listened when I had changes I wanted to make with my look. She also had no problem working with my tighter getting ready timeline on the day of. Myself and my wedding party were very happy with the different looks that she created for each of us. !
Stop what your research now and hire Michelle!! Michelle and her team are the best! They did hair and makeup for myself (the bride) my 8 bridesmaids and 2 moms, all while being timely and feeling like they were apart of my girl gang. The best part about Michelle and her team is that they always do hair and makeup looks that just enhance your natural beauty, not over contoured or crazy dramatic. I truly felt like the most beautiful version of myself on my wedding day and I have Michelle to thank for that!
Michelle and her team came highly recommended from a close friend who used Michelle for her wedding and let me tell you, best decision ever! Both the trial and the day of were super smooth and she even did a trial for my mom. She is super professional and truly and expert in the field. During my trial, my hair was perfect but the makeup was a little heavy for my taste. On the wedding day itself, she knew right away what to do with my face since we had had the trial and my makeup came out beautiful and perfect! In addition, all of my girls looked stunning on the day of - they nailed everyone’s make up and hair vision and even though everyone had a different vibe, it was all cohesive. Couldn’t recommend Michelle enough and I hope I have another reason to use them in the future!
Michelle and her team came highly recommended through our wedding planner. Michelle is very knowledgable in her field of work so it was very easy to exchange ideas about different looks for the day of my wedding. Both my trail and the day of went very smooth and I didn't have to stress about a thing! I was so happy with how my hair and make-up turned out! My hair was in an updo and never felt heavy while my make-up was the perfect amount of glow/coverage and never felt it was caked on. Her associate, Sarah, did my hair and make-up the night before for my rehearsal dinner. Both of these artists are extremely talented. I had two very different looks, but felt phenomenal both nights. I would highly recommend both Michelle and Sarah!
Michelle did my hair and makeup for our intimate wedding in Olympic NP and made me feel so beautiful. I'm not someone who wears makeup or styles my hair - and anytime I've had them done as a bridesmaid - I felt so uncomfortable and looked so unlike myself. Michelle was a completely different experience. With very little instructions from me, she just seemed to understand what I wanted. My makeup was natural and glowy and my hair was wavy and relaxed. She also has a very calm presence which was really awesome especially on the day of your wedding. :)

Booking with Michelle was really easy. Michelle found an excellent replacement, Amanda, when a scheduling conflict came up two days before the wedding. Amanda was fantastic to work with and made everyone feel comfortable. She helped me and my bridesmaids with all of our questions and preferences. I was grateful Amanda was there, as some of my bridesmaids and I rarely wear makeup and were not very experienced with eyelash extensions. Everyone looked fantastic, and I’m so glad Amanda was part of my wedding day.

As for someone who never wears make up, Michelle made the process so easy for me. She was very open to changes and adjustments. She never made me feel like I can’t approach or tell her how I feel. I love her honesty and clear communication. I also loved how she threw in suggestions so I didn’t feel lost. It was a pleasure working with her! As someone who never wears makeup and doesn't even own a hairdryer, I was nervous about doing wedding hair and makeup. I was worried about looking too done up and not feeling like myself. Michelle was completely understanding and made me feel comfortable and confident during the whole process. I have genuinely never felt so beautiful! During my trial she helped me figure out exactly how much makeup I wanted - I even ended up asking for a little more than I initially thought. She was also a hit with my bridesmaids, mom and MIL - who of course all looked amazing.
Beyond being incredible at hair and makeup, Michelle was also a great communicator both when it came to scheduling and figuring out what everyone wanted. Not only was she extremely professional, but she's incredibly kind.

Michelle Wight and the team (we worked with Nikki) are FANTASTIC! They are knowledgeable, fun (definitely a good wedding day hype squad), professional, and damn good makeup artists. I am a makeup novice but wanted to "glow" on my wedding day and Nikki absolutely nailed it. I felt beautiful and so did my bridesmaids and MOB. If you are looking for a MUA that will be able to look at an inspiration photo and absolutely nail it, while making it a comfortable and fun experience, Michelle Wight should be your go-to! I definitely recommend for all future brides!

Michelle and her team are amazing! We had to postpone our wedding due to Covid and Michelle was so patient and understanding when we moved our wedding from June 2020 to August 2021. I booked Michelle in early 2019 so we emailed back and forth for literally YEARS and she was great at communicating but she was even more amazing in person when we finally got to meet. My mom was on the fence about having her hair and makeup done for the wedding so Michelle suggested she come to my bridal trial and do a trial run herself. Of course she loved the look Michelle created for her and she said she felt great on our wedding day! I really appreciated the extra time and attention she gave my mom since our wedding was a big day for her as well. My bridesmaids all loved their hair and make up and it lasted all night. I can't recommend Michelle and her team enough since they are very talented and also fun to hang out with!

If you want a vendor who is going to communicate with you then look elsewhere. I was so excited to work with Michelle after reading her reviews on The Knot, but was terribly disappointed. The only star in this review belongs to Arryle, her lovely head stylist who did an amazing job making me feel beautiful and listening to what I wanted during my trial and the day of my wedding.
While I understand that Michelle has been growing her business and has been busier than ever due to COVID postponements (myself being one of them), she was nearly impossible to get a hold of. Her unprofessionalism in communicating with clients was unacceptable. I had to follow up with her after every single email I sent before getting a response on anything. I had to look up Arryle through Michelle’s Instagram in order to find her last name and the right doorbell button to press for my trial at her studio.
Our venue was destroyed in a storm the night before our wedding and I texted Arryle let her know that I would be the only one needing services, the other girls in my party wouldn’t be getting them because of the change of plans/timeline. Michelle offered a refund, and I was thinking she would refund for the other girls’ services. But she then told me that, despite me paying for services for EIGHT people plus myself, travel expenses and a 20% gratuity, that she had "no one available" to send out. Michelle said carpooling and the weather (it was raining) were the reasons she couldn't send someone. They were scheduled to be there from 8:30-1:00 and all I asked is for someone to show up at 11:00 (in the time range they were supposed to be there anyways). The person who “couldn’t come” is the same person who, before our venue was destroyed, was going to be there anyways.
Michelle finally agreed to have one person come out to do my hair and makeup, like I’d paid for, and provided a partial refund for the others in my party.
While they did a great job with the hair and makeup, the stress of working with Michelle absolutely wasn't worth it.

To begin - I will agree with you on the fact that - Yes “growing my business in 2021 has been busier than ever we were dealing with several COVID postponements along with newly engaged coup...
les. This was the biggest challenge of the 2021 season as I tried to provide excellent service while also being onsite physically sometimes 8-10 days in a row. I reached a point where I could no longer be the full-time administrator along with being a full-time creative. I would like to make you aware that we have recently hired reliable administrators to aid with our response rate allowing for quicker response rates and questions being answered in a timely manner.
As mentioned to you in via text we are so sorry to hear what happened to your venue as we could not imagine the pain and disappointment that caused you on such a special day.
I would like to address the following:
Arryle received a text from you at 6AM on 6/18/2021 notifying her of what happened and that you “most likely” will still want services - while cancelling the remaining services. Per the contract that was signed, please see the cancellation policy below.
Cancellation Policy:
If Purchaser gives Artist less than fourteen (14) days notice, written or otherwise, prior to the Event Date, then Purchaser will be liable for the full amount of the final Balance owed. Payment of this amount will be due within two weeks (14 days) of the date Purchaser gave Artist notice.
Purchaser also understands and agrees that their initial Deposit is non refundable regardless of the date in which they Cancel.
At the time of exchanging texts - while I was on location myself - I explained that I had two artists set to carpool together to provide the 16 hair and makeup services that you originally booked. I did not want to send one person out traveling 3+ hours round trip for one hair and makeup. The storm did not affect or hinder our ability to perform services for you or your bridal party as a whole. You chose to cancel two hours before our artists were set to arrive and we were providing options on what we COULD do given the circumstances.
My intent wasn’t to make you feel as if I was cancelling on you ever, nor would I ever. Based on our conversation, it should have been better discussed over the phone so that there was no confusion, that you were unsure of whether you wanted services or not. With timing, we could not delay on a decision and knew how stressful the situation at hand was therefore giving you the opportunity to receive a full refund, should NO services be rendered. Despite our cancellation policy, listed above, I was willing to offer a full refund as my heart really hurt for you and I thought I was doing you a favor by offering it - not realizing you would take it entirely out of context.
After speaking with your planner, who then confirmed that you would indeed still like services, and that no one was requesting a refund - we sent an artist despite our Travel, destination, and high volume wedding season minimum. Therefore - that is where the full refund offered changed entirely since we still sent an artist to complete services.
We understand that between postponement and the storm, it didn’t go as you envisioned. However, during these times especially we would also like you to consider the same compassion as vendors are going above and beyond, much as we did by sending one artist to complete your services.
We appreciate your honest feedback in sections of your review and are always working to better serve our clients to the best of our ability

Michelle was wonderful to work with! I had two stylists, Ariel and Michaela, working on both myself, three bridesmaids, and two mothers. Our hair and makeup turned out beautifully and lasted all evening! They were exactly on schedule too!
Michelle & her team are a dream to work with! Out of the 10+ makeup/hair artists I spoke with, Michelle was the most professional and helpful out of all. I hired her on the spot and I'm so glad I did!
They did my girl's makeup on my wedding day & they all couldn't stop talking about how great their makeup turned out! My group of friends is diverse (different skin tones), and Michelle's team did an amazing job.
Michelle & Arryle also did my hair for two consecutive days (three-day wedding festivities), and my updos lasted for 12+ hours and also looked fantastic!
I plan on keeping Michelle around for future makeup & hair needs!

Michelle was just amazing! She did my hair and makeup for my surprise wedding in June. Not only was she extremely professional, she was so sweet and very personable. She made me look like the best version of myself, I felt beautiful and it came across on the day and in my photos. I would highly recommend Michelle to anyone looking for hair and makeup for any event!
I'm so glad I found Michelle for my wedding hair and makeup! She was wonderful to work with. Very clear and communicative throughout the process, which helps makes wedding day go seamlessly. After my trial, I decided I wanted to go a bit lighter on the makeup and looser on the curls. She nailed it! I felt so beautiful and my bridesmaids did too. I got married on Whidbey which is a bit of a trek from Seattle, and I was a little nervous about the ferry situation. She and her team member arrived right on time and immediately got to work. They both were very pleasant and professional and there isn't a single thing I would change about the day-of process or final look. Absolutely recommend!
Michelle was a wonderful addition to our intimate family wedding on Whidbey Island in June 2021. She pivoted with our initial covid cancellation and remained flexible throughout. I booked Michelle to do hair and makeup for myself and a large group of bridesmaids on my wedding day. She was great to work with throughout the planning process - she was responsive, helpful and totally flexible when it came to scheduling my trial. On the day of the wedding, she was a joy to have around. She worked with each individual to understand exactly what they wanted their makeup to look like. All of my girls looked SO beautiful, and I felt great about my hair and makeup. I'm already looking for an excuse to book her services again!
Michelle and her team were amazing!! We had to reschedule our wedding due to COVID and she was wonderful to work with through that process. She helped me feel comfortable with all the things beauty. I loved working with Michelle! I was an out of state bride coming to Washington to elope and therefore I did not have a trial with Michelle, but that did not impact anything!
My location was over 3 hours from her and required her to take a ferry but she still arrived early! When she arrived she searched for the best lighting to work with and set up her area. She got right to work on hair and the talent she has is quite amazing. She started on my makeup and listened to what I wanted and what I didn't want. Once she finished I was extremely happy with how I looked. I felt like myself, but I also felt like a bride! It even rained on my wedding day and my hair and makeup both stayed put! I was thoroughly impressed!!
I would recommend Michelle to anyone in the area! She was extremely professional, kind and prompt!
Michelle was super accommodating from the very beginning. I planned my wedding at the last minute after my plans for a huge wedding bash in Texas were called off due to COVID.
She responded back almost immediately to my inquiry, provided a proposal and quote and I was booked within the hour since I knew spots for April were filling up quickly. As the big day approached, my mother-in-law and sister-in-law reached out to me to see if my hair and makeup artist would be available to help them get ready as well. Michelle and her team were able to do it! Even though I only had 2 weeks left before the wedding. She was very responsive through email and text and any issues I had, she immediately put my mind at ease with her quick responses. On the big day, Arryle took care of me, my maid of honor, and my mom. She was super fun to talk to and made us all look SO GORGEOUS. I’ve never felt more glamorous in my life and it was all thanks to Arryle. And she was super accommodating as my photographer, videographer, and florist showed up.
Also, the care package Michelle put together including a super-cute tank top, a MAC lip gloss and other touch-up products made my experience so much more special.

Michelle was AMAZING. I booked her last minute for my mid-week micro wedding for my hair and makeup and my MOH makeup. I was so nervous as I don't live in Seattle so didn't have time to do a trial run, but Michelle WAS incredible! She came earlier to give us more time and made my hair and makeup goals come to life! My wedding plans changed a lot last minute due to covid restrictions last year and I ended up having to find all new vendors. Michelle jumped right in, was incredibly flexible and understanding, and did a fantastic job! She was great every step of the way and is an amazing stylist and artist! She asked all the right questions and took the time to figure out exactly what I wanted even though I wasn’t able to have a trial. I am so happy with my choice and 100% recommend her to anyone looking for a makeup artist or stylist for their special day.
Michelle and her team are absolute professionals. She did 8 hair do’s and 4 make up‘s the morning of my wedding without breaking a sweat. When I saw my bridal make up in the mirror my own jaw dropped. She does glam looks but she also took care of my mom in natural light tones. She even covered my mom’s scar from surgery so that she would feel beautiful and confident. Michelle made me feel like a supermodel and my look brought tears to the eyes of my groom.

After switching up our wedding plans for the umpteenth time, Michelle came recommended from another vendor with just four weeks' notice.
Due to travel limitations during the pandemic, I was not able to visit Michelle for a trial appointment. No matter! She took a few Pinterest photos and minimal guidance on the day-of to create a beautiful, natural look for me and my mother. I was blown away!
My hair and makeup looked flawless through a wet, windy wedding and masking/unmasking during the day. She uses the best products and communicates in a timely fashion.
As further proof of Michelle's excellent professionalism and high-quality work, I had a second, smaller ceremony in Iowa just nine days after our original wedding date. With the benefit of comparison, I can say that Michelle's hair and makeup work was head-and-shoulders above!
Michelle is amazing! She does incredible, elegant-messy updos with wispy curls, which is what I was looking for. Michelle is the kind of person who can easily read whether or not you want to be chatty or quiet while you are getting ready, so right as soon as she walked in, I was very comfortable just being myself. I felt that the makeup style she did was natural, but still enhanced my features in a very flattering way without feeling like I was caked in makeup, which I don't wear too much of normally. I would definitely book Michelle again for any kind of event, she is a pleasure to work with!

I can’t say enough good things about Michelle! I was reticent to get makeup done for my wedding, but Michelle made me feel comfortable that I would still look natural and like myself. Her quote process and communication were stellar. The trial went flawlessly, as did things the day of (even as we had to change our plans more than once). My bridesmaids and me couldn’t have looked better!
Michelle is AMAZING. First of all, she is just such a wonderful and sweet person. She was super easy to get along with and chatting with her felt like chatting with a long-time friend. Secondly, she did my makeup and hair exactly what I had hoped for. It was absolutely PERFECT. I seriously never felt so beautiful and confident in my life.
After having to scrap our original wedding plans for a small mountain elopement, I reached out to her and she was able to fit me into her schedule. She was super responsive and easy to communicate with. She's also really great to bounce ideas off of.
I also did a trial before my elopement and I had never seen such flawless foundation on my face in my life. I have issues with patchy dry skin around my chin and forehead areas, so it can look cakey sometimes, but Michelle did her magic and it looked amazing.
It also lasted SO long. For my trial, it lasted from 1pm - 11pm (when I removed it). And for the day-of my elopement, my hair and makeup lasted a 6 hour round trip car-ride, a hike, overall lasting over 12 hours from application to getting back home and removing it.

Let me just say that planning and navigating through the wedding season during COVID has been awful, but Michelle has been very understanding through it all! I initially booked Michelle's services for 5/30/2020, but had to move it to 9/20/20 around April timeline due to COVID. I also had my trial on 6/30/20 (well before my big day) because I happened to be in Seattle visiting family for a month during that time frame (I live in Chicago). I can't recall how many times I changed my desired look and hair for the big day... even up until the day of. She was very accommodating through all my changes and requests, which I'm very grateful for. Also, I felt very safe having Michelle do my make-up as she has safety measures in place with all of her make-up products/tools. Overall, Michelle is just great to be around! She brought such positive and fun energy in the bridal suite. I didn't regret selecting her to do my make-up and hair, along with my 2 bridesmaids and moms!
Michelle did my hair and makeup for my wedding, and she was simply amazing! As someone who doesn't typically wear much makeup, I really wanted a natural but polished look, which Michelle executed flawlessly. Additionally, my hair was phenomenal! Many people told me that my braid was the star of the wedding and I couldn't agree more. Michelle was super easy to communicate with and most importantly very professional and safe during these COVID times, which made my wedding a breeze. I highly recommend her!

Absolutely wonderful experience working with this stylist company. As a last minute bride during Covid times I was able to make an appointment within a month and had such great communication with the company with updates and questions answered within 24 hours. The actual service was incredible. I have never had professional services and I also have issues with body image and I felt so comfortable, safe and completely beautiful during the entire experience. Kristel was so sweet and fun and made me look completely radiant. Kristel was so thoughtful with her health and safety practices (masked at all times, handwashing frequently, checking in on my comfort level and more). She was flexible on the day-of with the changes I wanted to make and happy to accommodate my needs/wants. She was both professional and personable and I genuinely loved spending time with her. Not only did she work her magic on my hair and makeup, she also helped ease my nerves (made me laugh, offered to make me tea, letting me take plenty of breaks ect.) and was just so incredibly awesome to work with. Kristel truly is someone you just want to be friends with: she really has such a delightful personality and we spent much of the time laughing which honestly completely turned my day around as I was feeling so nervous and anxious! The timing of the service was also completely perfect. I don't know how she made all of that goodness happen within our time frame ! Once I put my dress and accessories on and looked in the mirror, I cried. I never thought I could look and feel that wonderful and really have Michelle Wright and Kristel to thank for that! The price for the service is so reasonable and absolutely worth it for the value it will add to your special day/occasion. Could not be happier with my experience.

I really appreciated both! I came with some ideas in mind, but am not a stylist by any means so really appreciated her professional opinion for tweaks or style. She is also a GODSEND for getting straight hair to keep curl. I don't know what type of voo doo magic she put in my hair, but she managed to keep my hair curly AND keep it off my neck so I didn't get overheated. I normally get super sweaty and sticky when my hair is on my neck. My hair stayed strong through an outdoor ceremony during a hot summer day!
She was also super flexible during COVID bookings when a family member could not decide if they wanted to do hair and makeup with me. She was super sanitary and maintained all local restrictions to keep everyone safe.
I'm so thankful for her services and looking forward to anniversary photos in the future so I can book her again!
I hired Michelle January 2019 for my July 2020 wedding for myself and 7 bridesmaids. She came highly recommended from another hair/makeup artist who was booked for my date. Unfortunately Covid hit and I had to postpone my dream wedding until 2021. Michelle was compassionate, understanding and professional regarding the reschedule. My fiancé and I decided to have a small intimate “Covid Wedding” on our original wedding date and I didn’t hesitate to ask if Michelle could do my hair and makeup. As expected, Michelle was accommodating and professional. She came to my hotel and glammed me up off of Pinterest pictures I had sent her. I didn’t have a hair and makeup trial and let me say she outdid herself. I looked amazing and literally looked just like the pictures I sent her but still looked like myself. I can’t wait for her to do my hair and makeup again for the big wedding in 2021. I would highly recommend her and I promise you will not be disappointed.

My fiance and I had to divert from our originally planned wedding due to Covid-19, Michelle could not have been more understanding. She informed me that several brides were in my position and she would do her very best to accommodate all the changes. We decided on a backyard ceremony with our parents and a few close friends. I've never felt more beautiful, Michelle brought my vision to life, was so kind and easy-going, and took the stress out of rescheduling. I highly suggest booking Michelle
First let me say that this review was difficult to write, but I urge all brides to read through in its entirety. I booked Michelle back in 2019 for a June 2020 wedding based on a recommendation from our wedding day-of coordinator/planner. Michelle was very responsive and helpful with getting booked and outlining her services for me and my bridesmaids. Everything seemed good to go, until COVID hit. I reached out early on in March to ask what her policies would be if we had to postpone or cancel, and she responded quickly that she would either move to another date if needed or fine another stylist if she had to. We had a hair and makeup trial scheduled for April, but that was cancelled due to COVID. In May, my husband and I decided to cancel the big wedding and switch to an elopement. I messaged Michelle again to see if she would be willing to do makeup for just myself on the same day, and she responded saying she would be able to do it. We also established doing a makeup trial on June 3rd.
On June 1st, I reached out to Michelle just to confirm the trial was still happening, and she responded yes it was. Then, on the 3rd (the day of the trial), she messaged me at noon stating she could not legally do it as King County was not in Phase two, but she also stated that she “promised we could get the trial in”. With the wedding two weeks away at this point, I did the only thing I could think of which was to reach out to my wedding planner who recommended I switch to another stylist. Simply put, it seemed to me that Michelle was making promises without truly making a commitment to the wedding.
I reached out to Michelle explaining how this situation was causing me an enormous amount of stress, and how I was going to seek out another stylist who could guarantee services. I asked her if she would be willing to refund me in any way. She responded that she would never not show up to my wedding. I then responded that since King County might not be in phase two for a while, she could therefore not guarantee her services and I asked her again about refunding. She then waited until King county moved into phase 1.5 to respond, stating she was allowed to open now. And therefore I was canceling on her. She would only refund me 25% per our contract.
After a bunch of back and forth emails, including me stating that we never signed a new contract for the elopement, and basically begging her to be understanding about how much stress this has caused especially weeks away from the wedding, she only agreed to give me 50% back, not including the deposit. She stated she was being more than reasonable as I had originally planned to have hair and makeup done for 6 other bridesmaids.
In conclusion, I have worked with many vendors during this time. I have seen how flexibility is needed from both parties. However, I feel that I was fully manipulated by Michelle and would not hire her again. Even if she legally could not have done the trial, she should not have canceled on me the day of, and especially not two weeks before the wedding.
On top of trying to plan a wedding and now elopement in a pandemic, she added an extra level of anxiety and uncertainty.

h plans to reopen I shared every bit of information with you that was available to me. I shared that King county was trying to move into the next phase and that we would likely know in just a few short days if we had the green light to move ahead. I asked for flexibility with rescheduling your trial only ever due to Covid-19 so that we could do so safely and legally.
On June 4th the day after our trial was scheduled you informed me that you were moving forward with a different stylist, on June 4th no stylist in King, Pierce, or Snohomish counties were legally allowed to work. On June 5th it was announced that some counties could move into Phase 2 and some could move into phase 1.5 which meant I was legally allowed to host trials in my studio again.
Your decision to cancel services 13 days prior to the event date is the reason for the partial refund, should I have had to cancel services you would have been fully entitled to a full refund, I only ever asked for a little flexibility on your trial date.
We have so many talented artists in this community and I'm thrilled you were able to find someone for your hair and makeup styling.

Like most little girls, I have always dreamt about my wedding. However, as someone who has been a bridesmaid in over 13 weddings (I was basically the real life 27 dresses girl), I quickly learned how essential it is to have the right person doing your hair and makeup. You can have the most beautiful dress in the entire world, but if your hair and makeup isn’t done well it can ruin everything and you’ll have the pictures (which you’ll always look back on) to prove it.
I first met Michelle about a year ago when she was hired for another friend’s wedding. She was so amazing and did such a great job, that me and another bridesmaid hired her for our own weddings on the spot (I didn’t even shop around for other hair and makeup artists because I knew she was exactly what I needed!). Since first meeting her, she has done my hair and makeup a total of 4 times and every single time has been flawless! Not only have I worked with several times, but other friends who have seen her work hired her for their weddings and we all joke because she is the go-to hair and makeup artist for all of our friends weddings! For my wedding, I can honestly say I have never felt more beautiful! The entire night I was getting compliments about how perfect my hair and makeup was I truly felt like the bell of the ball, however I wasn’t alone. Every single one of my 8 bridesmaids have said they have never loved a wedding look more and couldn’t have talked more highly about Michelle. Not only is she an expert at what she does but she is an incredible woman. She is so nice, funny and personable and makes you feel as if you have been friends for 10 years. The wedding industry in Seattle is massive and you can find a million hair and makeup artists, however if you are looking for the best of the best, Michelle is absolutely the woman you need!
Michelle is an amazing artist who has a fun and easygoing personality and is also super professional and experienced. She did my hair/makeup for my engagement photos and my wedding day - and she did such beautiful job! I felt like Michelle really listened to my vision and thoughtfully incorporated my style into my wedding day look. I searched far and wide for the right makeup artist for my two day wedding and am so happy that I found Michelle through the recommendation of our planner. From the trial to the big day Michelle was extremely professional and easy to work with. I had a pretty clear vision of what I wanted for my ceremony and she crushed every detail. The second day, I decided I wanted to mix it up and only had a rough idea of what I wanted...and she crushed it again. I also had a pretty large wedding party and each gal wanted something different. Every hairstyle (intricate braids to classic curls) and every makeup style (glam to natural) was executed perfectly and everyone was so happy with their looks. Michelle was amazing! I luckily found Michelle after several other hair stylists were booked for my January 18th wedding. I had a hair and makeup trial done about 10 days before the date. She used the inspirational photos I sent her, my ideas I suggested, and her expertise to create the look I always imagined for my big day. I had a great time with her during the trial which helped make the day of that much more relaxing and fun. On the wedding day, Michelle and her wonderful assistant worked their magic. With 7 bridesmaids' hair and makeup and my mom's hair to complete, she was able to get everyone done with time to spare. She was flexible, quick and efficient while at the same time making everyone feel relaxed and look fantastic. As for my hair and makeup, I felt absolutely beautiful all day long. My hair stayed in place after lots and lots of dancing and I also appreciated the free lipstick for touch ups. Michelle went above and beyond to make my day memorable and amazing. She was truly wonderful to work with and highly recommend her for your wedding!

Michelle is absolutely amazing!!! She is so dedicated to making sure you and your wedding party look gorgeous! From the moment I met Michelle for my HAMU trail before my engagement pictures, she was so easy to connect with and made me feel/look beautiful! Michelle was absolutely amazing. I first tried a makeup trial to make sure the reviews were true. I had a second makeup trial with another artist and quickly realized how wonderful Michelle is and hired her immediately. She was super fast, precise, and listened carefully to my requests (as a person who usually doesn’t wear any makeup, she nailed the “natural” look, and was easy to talk to and feel comfortable around. On the day of my wedding she commiserated with me about some of the crazy vendors I hired who would not stop calling me- check my other reviews... lol. Such a great choice for my wedding day! I wanted to do my own makeup, but still needed a MUA for my bridesmaids. Michelle was flexible, met us at the hotel right on time, and was so efficient. She was in and out in no time and all my bridesmaids looked beautiful. Two of them didn't know what they wanted, so she was able to do just wing it. One bridesmaid showed her a photo of something she wanted and Michelle executed the look perfectly. I would highly recommend her to anyone!
I loved working with her! She did such an amazing job and the make up didn’t feel caked on. Everyone told me how amazing I look. It’s all thanks to her doing my hair and make up. During the day of the wedding, she helped last minute put flower in my all my bridesmaids hair and even did a last minute mom’s hair without any complaints.

Michelle was amazing! From day one she was easy to talk to, run ideas off of and always quick to respond which was exactly what I needed when dealing with something as important as hair and makeup. I kept sending photos and changing ideas up until like the week before the wedding and she was always supportive of my wants but also was honest about what was/wasnt possible. She ran solo day-off due to there being only 5 of us total getting hair and makeup done but really listened to each girl and created unique looks that all blended so well together all while sticking to the schedule. I had a huge boho braid which looked amazing and most people who have seen our wedding photos are so quick to compliment her work! I would absolutely recommend her to any of my girlfriends!

Michelle traveled to Chelan, WA for my wedding with myself and my fiance providing a hotel room for the night before and paying for her travel costs to get there. Well worth the peace of mind because I was able to trial with her in Seattle (where we both are based out of).
To top it off, Michelle is a delightful person to work with and I would hire her again in a second!
A quick piece of advice for brides in general. I was amazed by how busy ALL of my vendors were. They are often booked every weekend and sometimes have more than 1 event/ wedding on EACH weekend. Because of this, my vendors were often too busy to respond to my questions within 1-2 weeks of my sending out an initial email (especially when my wedding was >1 month out). I had to stay on top of communication and often had to reach out more than once. Once the wedding was 4-6 weeks out, the vendors really started to iron out the details for my wedding. Good luck ladies! All of the stress and planning is all really worth it in the end!!!!!!
Michelle is AWESOME! Not only is she a great makeup artist, she is so fun to talk to! I have a lengthy customer service background and could tell that she is very talented at working with people of all ages and backgrounds. It takes a special skill level to be able to work with every person you come across, and you can tell that Michelle has it. She goes straight to work and can tell exactly what colors will suit you best. Also, I am SUPER jealous of her packing cube makeup setup. If you want to look like a more perfected version of yourself, hire Michelle and relax, you checked one major thing off your list!

I even made some last minute changes on my hair on the morning of and she didn't question it at all, just made it happen. I was also shocked how well my make-up lasted through the whole day. I cried during all my first looks and the only touch up I needed was on my lips. Beautiful person to work with inside and out!
