Unfortunately there were a lot of issues with our whole wedding from the ceremony to the reception. The wrong music was played during the ceremony which was corrected in the middle of the song as people were walking down the isle. The speakers were squealing at the reception and the DJ had to be told multiple times to correct the issue. Our first dance song was played during the dinner music. Then played again 2 songs later. The music stopped during the mother son dance and the DJ was playing song thru his phone and his phone rang in the middle of the song. Very unprofessional for the amount of money we paid. For someone that has supposedly been DJ ing for 20 plus years honestly it was like his first time ever. It was horrible. If you are gonna play music from your phone with a speaker why not do it yourself and save yourself the money. I would not recommend this company to anyone. One star after our experience is good wish there was a negative one. Called to explain to the manager everything that happened and he listened but that was about it.

Our DJ Lane was fantastic on our wedding day! Kept everyone on the dance floor and was very helpful and fun. He really was amazing - kudos Lane! We loved the online forms for planning too. The only negative thing - we found communication prior to the event difficult: multiple emails/people/phone numbers used by MMDJ to communicate, issues with getting us signed up on the online planning portal (had to ask for this to be re-sent 3-4times), and had to ask multiple times for receipts to be sent for payments. It was a little stressful to me because I was planning my own wedding. Glad it worked out.

Overall my experience was good, based on their level of communication and organization I thought it was going to be great. However, I was actually disappointed in the end, we worked with John and he was a fantastic VJ, he was on top of announcing people and keeping events in order but I was extremely disappointed with the music selection. Before the event MME allows you to select several "Must Play" and a several "Please Play" songs, my husband and I knew our crowd and ourselves well, we had completely filled out the "Must Play" song section and filed out the majority of the "Please Play" song section. Not only did we fill out the song selection form provided by MME but I also emailed John directly with a list of several genres and associated artists that we wanted him to play and hoped would give him a good idea of what our friends and family would want. When it came down to the actual reception, however, I think he played maybe 5 out of the 20-25 songs we had on the "Must Play" list. I understand people were on the dance floor but as the bride, I had to actually go up and request songs that I had written down already as a request. My husband and I love to dance and so does our family and we planned it so different generations would have a good time and to hear some of my guests say they didn't know any of the music when I took the time to make sure there was something for everyone is extremely disappointing, especially for myself because there was a point in time where I hadn't been on the dance floor for 30+ minutes because I hadn't heard a single song I liked or we had put on our list. I think overall this is a great company and I like everything about the experience, even their prices are fair but on the day of, I'm paying someone to cater to my party and that just didn't happen. At the end of the day, the only thing in the entire wedding I was disappointed with was the music so I guess that's saying something but I will say that is a minor fix and everything else through them was great.

Joel helped us to have the wedding of our dreams. The music was exactly what we imagined and our guests had a blast dancing the night away.

There are so many great things to say about this company! First off, they are great at communicating with you anytime you need them during your wedding planning. Their prices are very reasonable for everything that they offer and they make sure that the dance floor is NEVER empty! We had John as our DJ and we could not be more happy with our choice! He came to our wedding rehearsal and helped run everything! He made sure everyone knew where they needed to be the day of the wedding and made our day stress free! We didn't have to worry about someone not being in the right place, he was always right there making sure he was doing everything he could to help! I would HIGHLY recommend this company for any event you may be hosting!

John was our DJ for our wedding day. He was outstanding. My mom always says that the success of the wedding depends on the DJ and keeping the night flowing and fun. He definitely did that!! Our guests did not want to leave at the end of the night. The music was on point and executed perfectly. I would highly recommend John and Mid Michigan DJs!!!

So, we booked Mid-Michigan DJ's at a Bridal show in Adrian and we were really excited they offered a photobooth/DJ combo for a decent price, and allowed us to go into their e-system and request songs.... Unfortunately, the songs we requested werent really played as much as we hoped. There were MUST PLAY's, which I think most were played.. but the "Please play if Time" requests weren't really touched. These are mostly the ones our guests requested, so hearing their disappointment that their songs weren't played, but rather the DJ's choices were selected made us feel terrible. Our DJ (John) was great at keeping timing, however the timeline was out of order and when I pointed it out, I thought he understood, but I dont think so. On his printout it said "Toasts at 6:45 PM" and "Dinner begins at 6:15", in that order. SO I said, Just make sure dinner starts first and then the toasts happen during dinner... but right after we were introduced, and as SOON as we got to our seats, he started the toasts and THEN led into dinner. The last thing, which counts for an entire star being knocked off, was the lack of communication on the song choices. When I say lack of communication, I mean telling me we could have the custom songs (including our FIRST DANCE song) we chose, but then on the day of, not having those versions. I had given them the ceremony music via MP3's, so I dont see why if they didn't have the other songs they wouldn't have asked for those as well. Our first dance was to a more upbeat version of the song we wanted, and totally lost it's luster by missing very key aspects of the song. So disappointing. I posted the real version to Facebook a couple days later and everyone that attended was a bit upset they never got to hear that version. He was a very nice guy, just not sure he was very interested in making sure we had the wedding we wanted, but rather was more interested in just doing his job that night.

My wife was working with Joel, who I believe to be the owner, and he was great for months leading up to our wedding. When she found out he wasn't going to be our DJ for the wedding, she was so bummed because he had been so great to work with. Then we found out John was going to be our guy. He was absolutely incredible to work with. It started when he came out on Thursday to chat with us, get to know us and just get a better overall understanding of exactly how we wanted our day to go. He then showed up on Friday and setup, then conducted our entire rehearsal flawlessly. Don't know what we would have done without him. Then come saturday, he conducted a perfectly timed ceremony with our minister. And upon reception time, he was ready to rock the place! He had the best energy I have ever seen at a wedding and we heard from countless people (him included) that they had never seen a more receptive dance floor from beginning to end. I can credit John for that. He played the best music at the best times. All while respecting the types of songs that I said I found annoying and cliche (chicken dance, etc.). He made everyone have a good time and the energy never slowed down the entire night all while maintaining a great mix of entertainment. Plus he had his own spin on things like the dollar dance that had everyone interested (and generous!) that just made it unique and fun throughout the entire night. I would recommend Mid Michigan DJs to anyone looking for a good time and a great value. They truly completed our wedding experience and made everyone enjoy themselves that much more.

Our DJ John was very helpful and called us to finalize things the week before, set up and came to our rehearsal the day before and helped direct the ceremony and reception. He played songs that made for a great dance party even though we gave him very few ideas of what we wanted to hear. Super hard working and nice.

Alan was the DJ this past weekend at our wedding. He was just okay--didn't really follow the timeline and kept asking us if "now is an okay time" to do things.. He did a reverse garter toss, which I specifically checked to NOT do. Also played our song for the last dance halfway through the night. We didn't hear half the stuff that was on our must play list. I thought that's why I spent days pouring over their timeline form?? The employee who really stole the show was the Photo Booth attendant! She was a rockstar!!!

Pete was our DJ for our wedding, and he was awesome! He made sure the music was going all night and he was so personable! I would definitely recommend him as a DJ to anyone who needs one! Thank you Pete for your help in making our night one to remember!

Our DJ Lane was wonderful! He kept talking with my husband and I all night about what we wanted to do next and he kept the music going. He engaged the crowd very well. I would recommend them to family and friends.

They did an awesome job with making sure our reception fun for everyone. They answered all of my questions and were extremely helpful. Our DJ, Mike, really helped set the tone for the reception by keeping people entertained and engaged. We also did a photo booth through their services and that was a huge success! Our guests loved the fact that they had their own pictures they could take home and I loved that we got a copy of them all in our photo booth album that people were able to sign for us.

We chose Mid Michigan DJ's for our wedding reception. DJ Lou was wonderful, making the night go very smoothly leaving me nothing to worry about! We spoke on the phone a week before the reception to go over details and Lou had very good suggestions to make our reception flow better and to make it more special. I was very happy with Mid Michigan DJ's and the services they provided!

We decided to use the photo booth and dj service. The photo booth was a blast and the dj service was okay. Joel is the gentleman you will deal with and for the most part he is pretty easy to get ahold of. They have a website that you can set up all the wedding songs. They were a local DJ and that is a main reason we went with them. budjet wise they were okay. The workers for the company were great. Not sure i would use them again but a great local choice to have, and great dj's

They are an awesome DJ and did a fantastic job at my wedding! Everyone loved them! Would recommend them to anyone!!! They have a photobooth so the price included the photobooth!

Joel offers several great services. We used his uplighting and DJ services, but he also offers a photobooth. The music he played at the event was perfect and appropriate for our event. He made sure to include all of our personal requests. Making your song list is easy with the online planner. He also offered us a military discount, which we always appreciate. Music is such an important part of a wedding, and you can't go wrong with Mid-Michigan DJ's if you want an event your guests will remember. Joel has done many weddings, so he knows what is popular and what keeps your guests hopping....his experience definitely shows!

Joel did an awesome job with the ceremony music, the AMAZING lighting, the customized gobo AND keeping the party going all night on the dance floor and in the photobooth! Not to mention the professionalism and communication through email for this bride on the go!
