I found Midwest Sound at a bridal expo in Milwaukee. After reading the reviews and seeing that they’d never missed a gig I knew they were the service to me. I filled out my planning sheets full of requests and do-not-play requests, which was really fun. About two weeks before my wedding I got a text from Leroy to set up a meeting to talk about my plans and everything. Talking on the phone with Leroy cemented that I’d made the right choice with Midwest Sound. Leroy had great insight on what song to play first, how to fade out after our first dance, and helping us to dismiss our tables for dinner.
On the day-of, Leroy was the first vendor to arrive (on time, mind you) to set up! Our grand entrance and first dance went off without a hitch all thanks to Leory’s direction. We started the dancing for the night off with "Gimme Gimme Gimme" and played only bangers for the rest of the night. When my mom made a request, he played it right away, which was really nice. He was the perfect fit for our crowd of partiers for sure! He got the people so hyped up that we had to extend the party!

We had Midwest sound for our wedding and Disco Joe was our DJ. He did an incredible job throughout the entire day! Taking the time to walk through our day to make sure all of our expectations were met. He kept the dance floor full all night, play hits that everyone could enjoy. As some badger alums, he ended the night playing Varsity that brought me to tears. I could not recommend Midwest Sound and Disco Joe enough!

I just got married on November 8th, 2025, in Oshkosh, WI and Disco Joe was our DJ with Midwest Sound. It was the most perfect day and a large part of that was thanks to them. I could not recommend Midwest Sound and Disco Joe enough. From the early wedding planning stages, I knew they were going to be incredible. The Midwest Sound website was so easy to navigate. The FAQs page is extensive and all of my questions were answered before I even sent my initial inquiry email. My communication with Sara was excellent. She was so receptive and answered my emails promptly. I never had to wait long for her to answer one of my questions. She was also so accommodating when I needed to make some small changes and add on some “extras”. The client portal was also so easy to use. The reception and ceremony planning forms were extremely thorough. There was a place for me to put every possible detail that my DJ would need to know to execute my ceremony and reception. My final meeting with Disco Joe was also incredible. He took his time combing through every detail on my ceremony and reception planning forms. We went through the forms line by line to ensure he understood my vision. I had a lot of important music cues and other small details that required specific announcements. He took his time to understand his role in our wedding and even took thorough notes during the planning meeting. He reassured me multiple times during the meeting that he was going to make sure we had a wonderful wedding day, and man, he did NOT disappoint! Our one request was to make sure the dance floor was hopping. Thanks to Disco Joe, our dance floor was NEVER empty. Not one point in the night was the dance floor empty. It was a party for 4.5 straight hours. He played every song that we requested and was receptive to my requests and needs throughout the night. He was professional, friendly, frequently checked in on us throughout the night, ensured we remained on track with time, did an excellent job playing music based on the flow of the dance floor and our guests, and even dressed to impress. We had multiple people at our wedding come up to us and ask for Midwest Sound & Disco Joe's contact information for their future weddings. Midwest Sound, and specifically Disco Joe, exceeded our expectations. If I could rate them higher than 5/5 stars, I would. I would recommend Midwest Sound and Disco Joe 100 times over.

We cannot say enough amazing things about Midwest Sound. From our initial meeting, to the planning portal, to meeting our DJ. It was such an easy experience.
We had the ABSOLUTE pleasure of having Disco Joe DJ our wedding. He was incredible. He set up for our ceremony beautifully, with all our songs playing & blending perfectly. He has the best playlist for our cocktail hour, and the dance floor was alive all night long. He let my little brother make an announcement over the mic, and took requests from our guests. He was flexible when we asked for a little more mingle music, and started the party later perfectly. He recommended ending the night to Piano Man, and it. was. perfect.

We were assigned Joe as our DJ and he did not disappoint!!! We had a very specific vibe we were wanting for our reception and our guests had so much fun - got so many compliments on how our reception was. Joe executed the ceremony processional and recessional, the dinner music, and of course - the reception (most important part for us)! HIGHLY recommend!!

The company as a whole was amazing to work with. I chose them because of how informative our first phone call was. I am a very detailed person and I knew what I wanted out of my vendors. They hit all the marks and made me feel confident my wedding would go off with 0 issues on the day. Thats exactly how it went. They use a set of forms that allows you to tailor how you would things. to go. I wanted a very involved dj to keep guests actively engaged in not only the dancing but all of the things we offered. we offered a large variety of extra things for our guests to do and he made sure to make them aware and call attention to the fun things we had. The Dj was very on top of all we asked of him and our music was perfect. We did a special thing where we made a list of all the songs we didnt want played but our guests could buy them off the list and the money went to honey moon fund. He did fabulous with this the only thing I will say is that it went over so well not a ton of our actual must plays were able to be played because the entire time was filled with purchased songs. This was new idea for us and the DJ so we navigated best we could and I was very happy i just would have liked a little bit more balance between our wanted songs and the purchased songs WE LOVED OUR DAY and a major part was our very energetic DJ

We had DJ Asher from Midwest Sound for our wedding in August, and he absolutely nailed it. He was punctual, professional, and yet very flexible when we made a few last minute adjustments! Not only that, but he was such a great entertainer and also helped keep the day moving smoothly. Our venue staff were pretty non-existent unfortunately, but Asher, my photographer, and Day of Coordinator combined were a dream team to keep everything on schedule. Thanks again Asher!

I had Tyson as my dj and we had a great wedding! He followed the timeline and was also able to adjust it on the spot and flip stuff around without anyone noticing! He was a great entertainer getting the crowd to be involved! He reach out out a week before our wedding and got are whole wedding vibe down! He was a great guy! Midwest sound website was also super easy! And they set up the photo booth and took everything down!

We had the absolute BEST experience with Midwest Sound, and our DJ, Vince, deserves all the credit! From the moment the night started, he was on point—professional, organized, and just genuinely fun to work with. He kept the energy alive all night. We’ve had so many people tell us how amazing the music and vibe were.
On top of that, Vince made the whole night stress-free for us. He handled transitions seamlessly, read the room perfectly, and kept everything flowing without us ever having to worry about a thing. He went above and beyond to make sure our wedding felt personal, fun, and unforgettable.

We loved working with Chad. Every time we called Chad was so helpful and informative. We did not enjoy Joe, our DJ, and would recommend that he does not provide feedback on “must play” songs. Joe made comments that left us feeling judged for our music taste. In addition, Joe forgot to call three of our tables to dinner. After being informed of this mistake Joe said to the groom, “ please do not mention this in your review,” which led to discomfort. Finally, Joe required a lot of “day of” reminders about the schedule and order of things. We would recommend he takes notes during the DJ and client introduction meeting or review documents (details and timelines) that are sent.

Vince was an amazing DJ. Had a great phone call getting to know him, he followed our must play songs great. He double checked things on the day of the wedding. Was very comfortable speaking in front of our large crowd and helped bring the energy!! Would highly recommend for an event you want to be hyped up- he’ll achieve it!

You cannot find a more professional, attentive, affordable, and kind wedding vendor. We were guests at weddings that Midwest Sound DJ'd and knew, without hesitation, that they needed to service ours as well. Their communication and organization make working with them a pleasure, and they truly know how to pull together a seamless day. DJ Coty's genuine passion for what he does shines through, and he made us feel so calm and comfortable with everything leading up to the wedding and the day of. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and will be continuing to tell all of our unmarried friends and families about booking them!

We absolutely loved working with Midwest Sound DJ Entertainment from the moment we booked with them! When we met with them they made sure to get to know us and what we were looking for in a DJ for our wedding from the music to the vibes. We then were connected with Jarod a couple weeks before our wedding and he was THE BEST! He checked on all our answers we had provided online and what the timeline was. He also double checked everything day of and before making any announcements. He was amazing and played all the music we requested and made sure the fun vibes kept going! We had the best time and got many compliments from our guests! Thank you for making the night one to remember!

I got married a month ago and I could not of been happier with choosing Midwest Sound DJ Entertainment. The online portal was super convenient and easy to use. They made sure you thought of everything so there were no surprises. I loved how they picked a DJ for you based on your responses in the DJ portal. We had Joe and it honestly was a perfect match. Joe was so fun, kind, funny, and he kept the whole night running smoothly! He was very big on communication with me and my husband, my vendors, and all my guests. Joe gave 100% and I knew I didn't have to worry about a thing the day of our wedding. I highly recommend Joe and Midwest Sound DJ Entertainment in general! Everyone I was in contact with was super nice to work with.

There are mixed feelings. Our one and only request from Midwest Sound was a DJ that would speak clearly and be understood. Midwest Sound DIDN'T deliver. Our DJ was muffled and spoke so quickly we never heard any of his announcements throughout the entire day. From the shoe game, to the anniversary dance, to anything in-between no one could understand him. We were quite disappointed.
For the music selection, we had songs in the ceremony that were played and they were not the correct version. He said it was no big deal during our phone call, but didn't deliver the correct version of our ceremony music. It would have been nice to receive a call or text asking if we had anyother requests in place of the one he could not find. It was something we were looking forward too, but was let down when it wasn't there. Throughout the reception, songs were cut very short and abruptly ended.
However, HE could keep the people out in the dance floor. He knew the right music to play and when. And HE could absolutely read a crowd. He showed up EARLY and was very self sufficient on his set up and tear down. He was asking the guest what music they wanted to hear to keep the party going.
Midwest Sound is a cheap and easy way to get a DJ that will keep music going and the timeline kinda in check. When booking, make sure you are following up with your requests and wants for your DJ.

We had the best time with DJ Alana from Midwest Sound for our wedding reception. From our first impression to the last song, Alana was professional, organized, flexible, enthusiastic and genuinely excited to make our day special. She took the time to understand us as a couple and what was important to us for the wedding reception. The announcements were handled with ease and confidence which helped the night run smooth. Our dance floor was always full of smiling and dancing guests. Our first dance song was modified to fit us and you couldn't tell it wasn't the original. Our guests are still talking about how great of a wedding it was and I often think of how thankful I am that we had Alana there with us! If you're looking for a DJ who is talented, thoughtful, and truly invested in making your event special and flawless, without hesitation I recommend Alana with Midwest Sound!

Midwest sound is a great value for DJ services. I did not spend much time shopping around when it came to a DJ, but music was very important for my husband and I. Midwest sound has a great reputation and lots of DJ's with various styles of different event needs. The online planning portal was very easy to use from uploading songs into different categories including must-play, nice to play, and do not play. If a song we wanted was not included the Midwest sound library it was easy to add the song by title and artist. We were contacted by our DJ, Vince, about 12 days before our wedding, he was easy to get in touch with and iron day of details including ceremony and reception plans. Vince understood our vibe and the type of involvement we wanted out of our DJ. He had good intuition about when songs should begin during the ceremony and when songs should end/transition during the reception. Vince was thrown a couple curve balls on the day of our wedding from particular parents of the groom and he delivered on all requests that were made. Vince was both fun and professional, he even gave us a congratulations card at the end of the night which was such a sweet touch.

Asher was our DJ for the night and he was awesome! We set up a phone meeting like a week prior to the wedding and he asked tons of questions and we talked for an hour just getting to know each other and what we were looking for in a DJ. Midwest Sound has lots of DJs and they pair you with which ever one best fits the vibe your looking for. Me? I wanted lots of booze and dancing. A giant party please! And Asher understood the assignment! I loved how involved he was with our guests, not only on the dance floor but during dinner as well. He went around and just talked to our guests to get a feel for what kind of crowd he was dealing with so he could best accommodate for the best night possible. He also was my person for queuing me to start my entrance walk down the aisle! I wanted to wait a specific amount of time into my song and he was right there to make sure that happened. He also checked in with my husband and I multiple times throughout the night to make sure we were all on the same page and if we had any requests. He was really awesome to work with and I would hire him again in a heart beat. Since we booked out DJ so far in advance we got a great deal on the price! We also added a photo booth which I highly recommend!

Anyone who is getting married needs to ask for Disco Joe!! He did an amazing job for our wedding. We never had any question that he was going to do a great job! He kept our dance floor full and dancing. He knows his stuff and made sure that we as a couple were having fun. He also asked us if there was anything he could be doing different but we had no complaints all night. He called us a week before our event and ran through everything with us. He instilled confidence in us that everything would run smoothly and he produced.

Sarah at Midwest is great to communicate with! She does a great job giving you reminders along the way, and answers any questions you have almost instantly. We had Disco Joe, and were pleased with him. You can tell he have a passion for what he does and wants it to be your best day. He was more than just a DJ, he checked in with us through out the night, offered to run to the bar and get us refills, and handled our guests requests with ease. He showed up plenty early to make sure he had the best idea for set up.

Our DJ, Dana, was so wonderful to work with! During our meeting to review our song selections, he really took the time to get to know us and helped us make song selections for activities we didn’t even think about (bouquet/garter toss). He was so attentive the day of the wedding and made sure the music/announcements happened at the right time. Even as we got a little behind schedule he was able to keep the night going smoothly. We also loved that he was so energetic and engaging with the guests. I wanted to play a song to honor my mom who had passed but didn’t know how to incorporate it as it wasn’t a typical dance song, and he went above and beyond to make it happen. It was a very sweet gesture and we’re so glad he was our DJ.

Midwest Sound made our wedding day truly amazing! From the minute we first started working them through the wedding day was great! The communication we had with Sarah was great. She was very responsive, and willing to work with whatever we needed. If she didn't have the answer she made sure we worked with the person who could help us! The music director helped with our grand march that went off without a hitch! It was exactly what we had in mind! Coty our incredible DJ executed our day perfectly! I explained our vision and he delivered! He can read the room and make sure everyone is dancing and having a great time! He even got in on the fun and utilized our dance floor props we had! I would recommend them again and again for any event! Everyone was so great to work with!

We found this vendor on the knot as well as it was recommended from our venue. I could not recommend more. We loved every step with them. All the staff and each member we worked with was amazing, friendly, and so helpful. Our day off DJ was Alexis and it was amazing! She hit everything we needed and more. Worked around things that went wrong from things out of her control and was with us every step of the way! If you are looking for a DJ look no further! Good pricing also!

We had Disco Joe as our DJ for our wedding and he was amazing. The guy was very receptive to the bride and groom's requests, but also came with an amazing set list of his own. Not only did he have a great playlist, he did an amazing job of playing music based on the vibe of the room. The guy could get the people out of the seats dancing, knew when to speed up or slow down the pace, and ultimately created an amazing atmosphere. I would recommend him for any and all events.

I highly recommend Midwest Sound as a wedding DJ. Sarah, the administrator, was extremely communicative and responsive from Day 1. We were very pleased with the price. The planning portal to enter in your song requests was super easy to use! We also rented a projector for our monogram from them and it was perfect!
Our DJ on 10/11/24 was Asher and WOW did he make our wedding SO FUN! We cannot thank him enough for his energy, for dancing with us, playing all of our favorite songs, and letting our guests let loose. He was so engaged the whole night and always making sure we were happy! Ask for DJ Asher!!!!

DJ Coty & Midwest Sound were phenomenal. Music & dancing was really important to us as a couple (especially me as the bride, dancing is my favorite thing to do!!) so who we chose for our dj at our wedding was very important to us. From initial inquiry to the week of, Sarah’s communication could not have been better. As a bride, this is so important in alleviating additional stress! They have an extensive portal to fill out and ensure they capture all your “likes & dislikes”. We had so much fun doing this - we had family over for dinner & drinks & all picked songs we wanted.
We got paired with DJ Coty - I could tell from our phone call the week of the wedding this guy knew what he was doing. He asked a lot of questions (head table dismissal, shuttle announcements) that I would have never thought of which was so appreciated to have those details taken care of. He was incredibly easy to work with & coordinated everything with my day of coordinator seamlessly. He’s a laid back guy which was a really nice energy to have for the crazy hustle & bustle of a wedding day! He executed ceremony songs, spotlight dances, etc seamlessly. We requested some house music at the end of the night for my husband and his friends LOVED it! He curated his play list to what we wanted as a couple and everyone had a blast!

My husband and I had a wonderful experience with Midwest Sound. Sarah and Asher were extremely helpful. We asked many questions and Sarah was always kind and quick to respond. Asher was a wonderful DJ. He called us on the phone before our event and took the time to understand what we were looking for. Asher checked in with us throughout the wedding day to ensure that everything was going well and to make sure that we were on the same page. I have had numerous wedding guests tell me how much they liked our DJ. We have already had friends ask for our DJ's info and we have recommended Midwest Sound. From beginning to end, everyone with Midwest Sound was excellent. They took the time to get to know us as a couple, and our expectation for our big day! Tim Wilson was our DJ and played everything we asked him to. Our families enjoyed dancing off their dinner! Highly recommend!

We could not have been more pleased with our DJ experience for our wedding! Midwest Sound was very organized and easy to work with, from their online portal, DJ-matching process, and preparation. We had full control over the experience and songs we wanted, great value for the cost. Our DJ, Joe, was excellent as an active listener and managing the entertainment the whole night. I'm biased since it was my own wedding, but that was the most consistently active dance floor for the full night that I've been a part of. 10/10!
