Talking on the phone with Leroy cemented that I’d made the right choice with Midwest Sound. Leroy had great insight on what song to play first, how to fade out after our first dance, and helping us to dismiss our tables for dinner.  On the day-of, Leroy was the first vendor to arrive (on time, mind you) to set up! Our grand entrance and first dance went off without a hitch all thanks to Leory’s direction. We started the dancing for the night off with "Gimme Gimme Gimme" and played only bangers for the rest of the night. When my mom made a request, he played it right away, which was really nice. He was the perfect fit for our crowd of partiers for sure! He got the people so hyped up that we had to extend the party!  Thank you so much to Leroy and Midwest Sound for making our day unforgettable!

ld not recommend Midwest Sound and Disco Joe enough. From the early wedding planning stages, I knew they were going to be incredible. The Midwest Sound website was so easy to navigate. The FAQs page is extensive and all of my questions were answered before I even sent my initial inquiry email. My communication with Sara was excellent. She was so receptive and answered my emails promptly. I never had to wait long for her to answer one of my questions. She was also so accommodating when I needed to make some small changes and add on some “extras”. The client portal was also so easy to use. The reception and ceremony planning forms were extremely thorough. There was a place for me to put every possible detail that my DJ would need to know to execute my ceremony and reception. My final meeting with Disco Joe was also incredible. He took his time combing through every detail on my ceremony and reception planning forms. We went through the forms line by line to ensure he understood my vision. I had a lot of important music cues and other small details that required specific announcements. He took his time to understand his role in our wedding and even took thorough notes during the planning meeting. He reassured me multiple times during the meeting that he was going to make sure we had a wonderful wedding day, and man, he did NOT disappoint! Our one request was to make sure the dance floor was hopping. Thanks to Disco Joe, our dance floor was NEVER empty. Not one point in the night was the dance floor empty. It was a party for 4.5 straight hours. He played every song that we requested and was receptive to my requests and needs throughout the night. He was professional, friendly, frequently checked in on us throughout the night, ensured we remained on track with time, did an excellent job playing music based on the flow of the dance floor and our guests, and even dressed to impress. We had multiple people at our wedding come up to us and ask for Midwest Sound & Disco Joe's contact information for their future weddings. Midwest Sound, and specifically Disco Joe, exceeded our expectations. If I could rate them higher than 5/5 stars, I would. I would recommend Midwest Sound and Disco Joe 100 times over.

n how our reception was. Joe executed the ceremony processional and recessional, the dinner music, and of course - the reception (most important part for us)! HIGHLY recommend!!

ndors. They hit all the marks and made me feel confident my wedding would go off with 0 issues on the day. Thats exactly how it went. They use a set of forms that allows you to tailor how you would things. to go. I wanted a very involved dj to keep guests actively engaged in not only the dancing but all of the things we offered. we offered a large variety of extra things for our guests to do and he made sure to make them aware and call attention to the fun things we had. The Dj was very on top of all we asked of him and our music was perfect. We did a special thing where we made a list of all the songs we didnt want played but our guests could buy them off the list and the money went to honey moon fund. He did fabulous with this the only thing I will say is that it went over so well not a ton of our actual must plays were able to be played because the entire time was filled with purchased songs. This was new idea for us and the DJ so we navigated best we could and I was very happy i just would have liked a little bit more balance between our wanted songs and the purchased songs WE LOVED OUR DAY and a major part was our very energetic DJ We had Craig as our Dj

We were quite disappointed. For the music selection, we had songs in the ceremony that were played and they were not the correct version. He said it was no big deal during our phone call, but didn't deliver the correct version of our ceremony music. It would have been nice to receive a call or text asking if we had anyother requests in place of the one he could not find. It was something we were looking forward too, but was let down when it wasn't there. Throughout the reception, songs were cut very short and abruptly ended. However, HE could keep the people out in the dance floor. He knew the right music to play and when. And HE could absolutely read a crowd. He showed up EARLY and was very self sufficient on his set up and tear down. He was asking the guest what music they wanted to hear to keep the party going. Midwest Sound is a cheap and easy way to get a DJ that will keep music going and the timeline kinda in check. When booking, make sure you are following up with your requests and wants for your DJ.

The online planning portal was very easy to use from uploading songs into different categories including must-play, nice to play, and do not play. If a song we wanted was not included the Midwest sound library it was easy to add the song by title and artist. We were contacted by our DJ, Vince, about 12 days before our wedding, he was easy to get in touch with and iron day of details including ceremony and reception plans. Vince understood our vibe and the type of involvement we wanted out of our DJ. He had good intuition about when songs should begin during the ceremony and when songs should end/transition during the reception. Vince was thrown a couple curve balls on the day of our wedding from particular parents of the groom and he delivered on all requests that were made. Vince was both fun and professional, he even gave us a congratulations card at the end of the night which was such a sweet touch.

I wanted lots of booze and dancing. A giant party please! And Asher understood the assignment! I loved how involved he was with our guests, not only on the dance floor but during dinner as well. He went around and just talked to our guests to get a feel for what kind of crowd he was dealing with so he could best accommodate for the best night possible. He also was my person for queuing me to start my entrance walk down the aisle! I wanted to wait a specific amount of time into my song and he was right there to make sure that happened. He also checked in with my husband and I multiple times throughout the night to make sure we were all on the same page and if we had any requests. He was really awesome to work with and I would hire him again in a heart beat. Since we booked out DJ so far in advance we got a great deal on the price! We also added a photo booth which I highly recommend!
