We LOVED our DJ from Midwest Sound! Bree took the time to understand our tastes and the vibe we were going for during the wedding. She did a great job with announcements throughout the night and was super prepared and professional. Heads up, you don't get your DJ assigned until the week before your wedding. I was stressed about this initially, but everything worked out and everything went off without a hitch. We also used their photo booth which was a hit with our guests! Overall, a great experience and a great price!

Once I was assigned my DJ, I didn't get good vibes from a missed voicemail. He sounded unprofessional and unexperienced. I called Midwest Sound and voiced my concern. They understood my concern and we both agreed a different DJ would be the best. We got Danny. He was fantastic. No complaints. He was so nice and GREAT with the crowd. Nailed everything I wanted. Midwest Sound has great communication. They were very helpful throughout the whole process. Highly recommend

Our DJ Kevin was a ton of fun. He got people out on the dance floor and even joined in dancing once in a while. He participated in the theme of the wedding and was on top of things all night. Thank you again!

The booking process and planning process was so easy and smooth! We absolutely LOVED working with Midwest Sound DJ! They were very professional and personable! Our DJ was Noah, and was just awesome! He knew exactly what to do and when to do it! It made the reception come alive on the dance floor! I highly recommend Midwest Sound for your party needs!!

Pre wedding communication was great. He was in time, early even to set up and was ready to go. The time during the event, the music was not loud enough, he only had a list of song titles and not the artist, so played the wrong songs in some spots. Did not read the room as to how to get people on the dance floor. He encouraged me to not have line dancing music which would have gotten people on the dance floor. He did gold strong in not playing country music.

Our DJ Zach went above and beyond for our special day and we couldn't be more grateful! Would definitely use their services again.

Worst vendor experience you can imagine. Our wedding was almost derailed due to the complete lack of preparation and attitude of our DJ (summarized at the bottom of this review). The response we've received from this company when addressing our complaints is the worst part of it all. Our complaints fell on deaf ears as leadership at this company simply refuses to speak with us. Instead of having a difficult conversation with us they choose to cowardly hide behind their associates to deliver their half-baked responses that did nothing but insult and gaslight us as their clients. We have never worked with a company who lacks the professionalism and accountability that this company does. We have been lied to and fallen victim to false advertisement. Buzz words like "entertainment" and "reliability" are plastered everywhere on the company website. If you decide to contract this company, don't be surprised if neither of these things are delivered. Furthermore, do not expect the leadership team at this company to act like the professionals they claim to be. __________ A summary of how this company failed to execute their services to us and what their leadership team refuses to take accountability for: 1. The father-daughter dance was ruined. After announcing the father-daughter dance, there was a moment of silence for almost 10 minutes while our DJ searched for the song, providing no explanation to the crowd as to what was happening. The bride and her father had to awkwardly stand there the entire time, waiting for something to happen. When a new song finally played, it was a song about a mother and her son. This humiliating moment brought our bride to tears on her own wedding night. 2. We were promised a lively DJ who would help us keep track of our timeline and liven up the crowd as an MC. Our DJ was the complete opposite of what we wanted as he was unenthusiastic and did not follow our timeline in the least. He flat out acted as though he did not want to be there. To further elaborate on his performance: - He neglected to follow our timeline despite being given it well before the wedding. - We had to approach him to remind him to announce the names of each person giving a speech and their relationship to us. Also letting him know when to announce the speeches. Basically doing his job for him and running our own wedding. - He mumbled the entire time he was there and made everyone feel as though he did not even want to be there. - It was the definition of "going through the motions." Our DJ was unapologetic for the incidents and made no effort to make anything about our wedding memorable.

The DJ called my husband the wrong name when we were introduced as bride and groom. There was major communication issues as we didn't receive a call until Thursday night before our wedding and no apology for everything that happened.

Loved our DJ Dylan! Very professional, but fun. Easy-going attitude and loved the set list he played. Was very flexible with accommodating our live band later in the night. Also, loved the music portal they have to submit all of your song requests and give the DJ details prior to the wedding. Our DJ called us week of to discuss details.

I am beyond happy that we went through Midwest Sound for our DJ. We got paired up with DJ Brendan who was an absolute gem and went above and beyond for our wedding on 6/1/24! Our dance floor was packed the whole night and we received so many compliments from friends and family of all ages on the music selection. His vibes were truly top tier! Also a detail that I noticed and absolutely loved was how well he transitioned our processional music for the ceremony. The music for the groom and wedding party perfectly flowed into the song I chose to walk down the aisle to. Besides DJ Brendan, the customer service that I experienced during the planning process was awesome and super responsive. This company truly knows what is up!

We had the DJ Austin for our wedding and he was amazing! He contacted me the week of the wedding to really get down a schedule. I even through in a weird request for my husbands grandparents to dance to an old song which he then had to get it uploaded into the system the week before the wedding which was amazing! On my preforms I put in some random songs to dedicate to friends not thinking it would actually happen and he did it which the friends loved!! Austin through Midwest was on time, professional, helpful, and did a great job making announcements throughout the night! If possible and you book through this company see if you can request him!

CHOOSE Midwest Sound DJ Entertainment! From the start, their website and client portal are well laid out. It was easy to make payments, fill out the forms and get in touch with a staff member. S/o to DJ Sam! He called during the early wedding week to review what had been filled out online and any other special requests. With his words and tone of voice, you could easily tell that he wanted it to be the best day of our lives. The day of wedding, Sam played a good mix of what we wanted as well as requests. He was always standing with a smile on his face and dancing! Thank you Sam for your positive contribution to our day. Highly recommend Midwest Sound DJ Entertainment!

It was a bit rocky at first, as the ceremony started late. I was ready to walk down the aisle without any music.But he saved the day and found the music and it all went very well after that! He kept the crowd engaged and we had a blast!!

Our experience with DJ Midwest Sound was great for a 50th anniversary. They even gave us a discount we weren’t expecting. Staff was very friendly & helpful. We had Jim. If I had a question or he did we would get together to figure it out. Played songs we wanted.

Booked Midwest Sound for 1 hour ceremony music, 6 hours reception music, photo booth, and up-lighting. We had DJ Kasal and he was absolutely AMAZING!! He was so fun, kind, personable. He checked in with us consistently throughout the day to make sure we were happy with his service, asking if we needed to adjust things, etc... I'm so happy with how everything turned out, and I'm so glad I booked with them. I'll recommend him to everyone needing a DJ!

I'm really disappointed in our experience with Midwest Sound. We specifically requested no hip-hop. We know what we like, and we know our guests. We wanted mostly country and rock. It was included in the forms we'd filled out online, and we'd verbally confirmed with our assigned DJ over the phone the day before our wedding. He played hip-hop anyways. Both the Groom and the Best Man had to talk to him and ask him to stop. And while he did stop playing hip-hop, he still didn't get back to our requested "must play" list. Instead he played pop, rap, even a couple boy-band songs. Not what we had requested. As the night was wrapping up, almost all of the songs on our "must play" list still hadn't been played. He actually asked us to go through our "must play" list and pick out the songs that we absolutely wanted him to play. He also didn't even have all of the songs that we put on our "must play" list. There was a specific song that we wanted to be played in memory of the Groom's dad...and the DJ didn't have it. Ultimately, we regret even having a DJ, and we wish that we had just made a playlist on Spotify. At least then we would've gotten all of the songs that we wanted.

Our experience with Midwest Sound was great from the moment we booked them all the way to the end of our reception. We had DJ Zach and we could not have been in better hands. Our friends and family will talk about our reception for many years to come from how awesome he was. Our dance floor was popping ALL night and we barely had an empty dance floor except for when we needed water and bathroom breaks because that’s how good the music was. He killed it. You can tell they take serious pride in what they do at this company. Book them, you won’t be disappointed :)

We hited Midwest Sound for a work event/ My experience with them was amazing from start to finish! Ver professional and they went out of there way to accomodate a special song request we had. DJ Akim was kind, professional, and so easy to work with! He get us all on the floor and kept us there for hours!!! Will be using them in the future for any and all DJ needs!

We had the most amazing experience using Midwest Sound for our wedding DJ! DJ Dylan was the best!!!! He is a true professional - prepared, fun, great song choices, and well dressed! We knew we were in great hands with Dylan and Midwest Sound. Everything went smoothly and seriously anything we needed help with, our DJ had it down. When our venue coordinator was confused and didn’t know what she was doing, Dylan also became a wedding day coordinator for us making announcements, confirming timing and transitions of music and events throughout the night, and connected with the other vendors to ensure our photographer and videographer were on the same page to capture every important moment of the night. If you’re not sure what entertainment company to choose for your wedding, birthday, or next big event, it’s an easy decision to choose Midwest Sound! And extra lucky if you get DJ Dylan :)

Got married on 12/30 in Stillwater MN. Jon made it really easy to connect on what we were looking for over the phone before our event, and then 100% made it happen that day/night (btw we were really picky about what we wanted). Sam brought the party! So many guests commented on how fun our DJ was. We had a slight mic malfunction but Sam made the best of it and still gave our guests a great night!

DJ – Midwest Sound – Midwest Sound was great for the most part. They helped set guidelines to keep us up to date. They were able to accommodate all our music needs. The playlist they have is extensive, but even if the some you want is not there you are able to get any songs you want. We did have a few issues. A request was missed for playing a song at a certain time instead of at the start. Songs were kind of played by genre and were not mixed as well as we would like. The price was right for all the dj did though and they were very flexible. We still would recommend them despite small errors.

Let me preface this with: Dylan was an absolute BOSS and literally saved my wedding. If it weren't for the poor communication of this company, I would have given 6/5 stars. The communication between this company and I was not great. Generally, they match you with your DJ the week of your wedding (which in itself, is a bit nerve wracking). The original DJ that was assigned to our event rescheduled our meeting not once, but twice, before ghosting me altogether 48 hours before our wedding. The company had to scramble to find me an emergency replacement (thankfully it was Dylan) and this poor kid had to decipher my entire wedding day music list with less than 24hr to my event. I would have given 5 stars if they hadn't nearly given me a heart attack days before my wedding. Dylan, however, was an absolute gem-- kept the party going and played every song we asked for. 10/10 for Dylan

We had Ben H. for our Sunday wedding in Pepin, WI. and we could not have asked for a better DJ!! Our ceremony was flawless and we had so much fun dancing during our reception. He did a wonderful job as an MC and we appreciate him so much. The dance floor was full all night at a SUNDAY wedding. Ben, you're the best, thank you so much!!

Neil was a wonderful DJ at our Halloween Spectacular Wedding. He not only was a great DJ who inspired all ages to get up and dance, but he also helped the the meal service and clean up. He was absolutely amazing. Thank you for dressing up as Marshmallow and making the Bigelow wedding a success.

We had tons of changes and worked with several staff at MW DJ who were nothing but help! Our DJ Anji rocked the ceremony, cocktail hour, special dances, and most importantly the dance floor! 10/10 would recommended for anyone who wants a stress free DJ experience.

We had an amazing experience with Midwest Sound at our wedding. The process of submitting our requested music and our plans for our ceremony and reception was very easy. We had DJ Eli and he did an incredible job throughout the night. He kept everything moving at a steady pace. We wanted the dance floor to be packed all night and that's exactly what happened! He did an amazing job reading the crowd and picking songs that would get everyone on the dance floor. We truly could not be happier with how the evening went and that's largely thanks to our amazing DJ :) 10/10 would recommend!

Dylan is a hoot of a DJ! Highly recommend him! He kept the party going and was very accommodating and helped make our day special! The only thing I'll say about the company is keep an eye on some fine print, especially if you want to have an outdoor ceremony - you need to provide your own tent which is a weird line for the company to draw instead of just providing it. Otherwise, a wonderful experience!

An excellent experience. DJ Kasal worked closely with us to make sure we had an excellent setup for our music and he didn't excellent job keeping the hype going as master of ceremonies and as DJ.

Our DJ was Damien and he was very friendly and flexible, and definitely worked well with our crowd! He also left us a thoughtful card wishing us congratulations which was so sweet. We were lucky to find Midwest Sound! Their communication was outstanding, being out of Minnesota we were a bit worried, but they did make sure that Music was the least of our concerns. Eli was our DJ, it was so easy to communicate with him, he was on time, he called a few days before to go through everything. The night was perfect, he did get all our guests in the dance floor! The interaction was perfect. I do recommend Midwest Team if you want to take a stress out of your shoulders!
