rmed her that she had stepped in last minute and as Midwest Sound didn’t have anyone assigned to our event. We understand  Thursday wedding is out of the ordinary but we gave our DJ a year in advance to find someone for our day. During their conversation, the DJ seemed unprepared, taking the call while in a car with distractions around her. It was concerning that she didn’t take notes and didn’t demonstrate familiarity with our timeline or specific requests. Our coordinator confirmed several critical details, including the song for our grand march would feature “Forever” by Chris Brown, our dj dropped the ball and quickly announced us with the same song as the wedding party. We were unprepared to walk out as we believed the song would change and the doors would open and we would get this grand entrance. We also discussed that only the bride and groom would give speeches before dinner, we had to awkwardly walk back to the dj station to wait for a corded mic to thank all our guests for being there. Given that we had already provided a detailed timeline, we assumed there wouldn’t be a need to revisit these details on the day of the wedding. On the day of, our coordinator guided her on where to set up for the ceremony, but she did not follow those instructions. Her equipment was visibly placed on the right side of the ceremony space, with cords out in the open, detracting from the appearance of the event. It was unprofessional and looked unkempt. Additionally, the music selection was disappointing. Out of a curated list of 100 songs, she only played about five and then went her own direction of what she believed was okay to play, and even included many songs from our ‘Do Not Play’ list which was also provided to her in advance. This led to awkward moments where we had to stop the music ourselves and ask for the next song. I wish we had been informed earlier that there would be issues with our DJ, so we could have sought alternatives. Overall, the lack of communication and professionalism left us disappointed on a day that should have been perfect. 

uests.  My daughter injured herself halfway into the evening and had to be taken to the hospital.  He handled the situation very professionally and prepared everyone for her return in a celebration like no other.  The couple were so worried that people would leave and were overjoyed at the welcome that they received.  That ended up being one of the best parts of the whole evening.  It is one thing for a DJ to get a party going, but it is a whole different talent to stay calm in a crisis and keep the crowd entertained.  We can’t say enough great things about Austin and would highly recommend him to everyone!

eception inside a large barn, so we wanted a DJ that was familiar with our venue. We were a bit nervous knowing that we wouldn't get placed with our DJ until 1 week before the wedding. We got a call wedding week and James our DJ seemed very experienced and had some very good questions regarding the wedding. The ceremony sound was good and loud enough for the open field, our chosen songs were played on que for recessional, prayer and exit song. there were microphone issues during ceremony that will probably mess up our videography and we cant re-record sadly. good thing our videographer had a mic on the groom as backup. For the reception, DJ did great at hyping all the guests for the the grand march and it was so much fun for everyone!! he was able to play our "must have" songs and some of the maybe songs. Overall, we are very happy with this company for our special day.

a fantastic time with the dance! We also booked them for the ceremony and Ben did great with the timing and it helped make the ceremony feel super magical! We had our dog run down the aisle during the ceremony and he was able to play our requested sound and make that moment super magical. Would recommend to anyone!

He was so sweet and even wrote down on a card the exact time we got married which was such a sweet touch! It just goes to show how much he cares for his couple he is working with! We are beyond grateful for the unforgettable atmosphere he created on our wedding day!

It not only helped them gather information, but it helped me organize my own ideas! Once we were assigned our DJ, he made sure to confirm everything with us and was not only on top of everything but friendly as well. On our wedding day, he made sure to introduce himself to my husband and I and make sure we were all on the same page. Everything ran smoothly and we had an amazing night. We also had the photobooth and we highly recommend it! There was one issue with it at the beginning of the night but once we let our DJ know, he quickly took care of it, and it was fixed within 5 minutes – no one even noticed!
