Midwest Tent and Events

We rented a 30'x60' tent, tables, and heaters from Midwest for our outdoor wedding and reception in October. Brian was very helpful when I booked over the phone and offered us bigger tables at a lesser price when he didn't have the size available that we wanted. On delivery day, they were a little late, but no big deal. They set up the tent quickly, showed us how to use the heaters, and were out. Take down and pickup went great.

Brian Dorn was great to work with in the off season of football- this is when we spoke with him and got the information for all of our needs. He was very knowlegeable and the prices are beyond resonable. We rented our wedding tent with a liner and aqua lighting, tables, and chairs from them. The entire setup was just gorgeous. Brian is also one of the men that come set up the tent, so he was there to help us choose the light color we wanted (might I add he was very patient while up on the ladder switching the light colors between our wedding colors as I had to decide between if I wanted blue, aqua, white, or green). I finally chose aqua, and it was beautiful. The only downside we had working with him was we couldn't get a hold of him a couple weeks before the wedding, it seemed to be hit and miss...but he also stays very busy with the University of Nebraska as he does a lot of events for them and football games. That was our only complaint was he took awhile to get back or send the quotes to us, but the overall service was good and the quality of work was outstanding!

I'll be honest that during the planning process I had my moments of frustration with these guys. They don't have a printed price list (or list of items they rent) and they were in the middle of a software change so getting a print0out of the items reserved for me was tough. However, once it was crunch time they were AWESOME! We had an outdoor wedding with a tent reception and Brian was great about communicating with me the timeline. (It rained the day they were supposed to put up the tent so we all had to be flexible.) We were fortunate enough to get a BRAND NEW tent and they only charged us for the sides we used - not everything we reserved. The lighting we had planned fell through so Brian let me add that to the order last minute, then came back after dark to help us figure out lighting levels. On top of that they were always friendly, and they even helped us out with some of the 'do it yourself' projects we had going on for the wedding. Their prices are fair and their customer service top notch!
