e we captured our wedding day the best way possible. Our wedding video is already back 2 weeks later and we LOVE it. I cry, smile, and laugh every time I watch it and it is so fun to see parts of our day that I wasn't present for or didn't see myself. We also got the documentary version which is the raw unedited video of our ceremony and speeches which is so great to have if and when we want to relive the those parts of the night in full. All three of them were THE ABSOLUTE BEST that we could have asked for!!! Nezrin and Daniel were fantastic at capturing everything we had wanted. They were both great at giving us directions (we told them we needed help with pose suggestions) and listened to us if we did or didn’t want to do something. During the Romantics when my husband and I were informed of a cake topper situation, Nezrin and Daniel were both so great about stopping the photos/video and just being there for support. At the end of the night they were so sweet to stay a few extra minutes just for the bouquet toss, which I had completely forgotten about. Nezrin and Daniel are not only great at their job, but they are also compassionate people that brides and grooms need on their wedding day. And the photos and videos we received were lovely! If we could do it all over again we wouldn’t have changed a thing. Thank you Nezrin, Daniel, and James for making our wedding perfect!

He provided great direction and made us feel comfortable during both our engagement session and our wedding. My whole bridal party raved about him for weeks after the wedding. When I had a wedding day dress snafu, Greg was right there offering assistance, even came prepared with an emergency sewing kit. Our videographer, Daniel, equally as awesome. We had a blast taking our pictures and videos. We had Alex for our fabulous DJ and he kept the party going and the dance floor packed all night. We spoke directly to the team on different occasions before the wedding and they took care to make sure every fine detail was handled. The biggest thank you to Mike Staff! We couldn’t be happier with our choice and are so thankful for capturing our special day!

We selected the option of having two videographers, since my husband and I were going to be getting ready in two separate homes; this way, a videographer was able to cover each household, capturing sentimental moments of my family, closest friends, and me at my family’s home, and my husband with his parents and extended family at his Airbnb. They also recorded footage of us taking photos at our venue (Meadow Brook Hall in Rochester, MI) before the ceremony, which was so great to have; those clips show all of our emotions, interactions with each other and our families, and excitement on that day in a way photos alone can’t capture! Both videographers were extremely professional, kind, and easy-going, and at both our homes and the venue, they weaved their way seamlessly into our day and captured all of the big and small moments without us even really noticing they were there! During the ceremony, the videographers stationed themselves at different locations so they could film the wedding from various directions. Their final videotapes, both the short film and full film, were outstanding! Their coverage of the day was thorough and beautiful, and the background music they used for the Mini Movie video was perfect! We were especially impressed with the Director of Videography – Jason Chevatewa – he was very responsive with various questions and edit requests during the months following our wedding, and was very patient and accommodating as we provided editing responses while trying to navigate major life events following the wedding such as deployments, new jobs, and pregnancy. He consistently provided beautiful, updated videos for our review. Without any reservation, we absolutely and highly recommend Mike Staff Productions’ videography team to anyone looking for a top-notch videographer for their event! In fact, we plan on hiring them again in a few years for the next wedding in our family!

When I went to my two-week meeting with the venue, the manager already knew I hired Mike Staff because she said they were the only company who sends her notices about the impending services they were going to provide and for who, which I thought was extremely impressive. Jenny L. (photographer) and Phil (DJ) were punctual in contacting us before the wedding, and Mike Staff sent occasional reminders that this would occur so we weren't caught by surprise. Jenny and secondary photographer Priyanka were so wonderful to work with. My husband and I have never had professional photos taken before, and even on our own we're always forgetting to take photos of ourselves and our lives. Jenny (who I primarily worked with so I will mention her specifically) was calm, fun, and so efficient. She knew exactly what she was doing, gave great advice, and helped my husband and I with poses and directed us, which was exactly what I asked for, given our inexperience. She took charge because I requested her to, and I was absolutely blown away at how quickly she finished many family photos I had scheduled to take place in a short period of time. Overall, I knew wedding days needed a lot of time cushion so I accounted for it, but Jenny was so efficient she gave us even more time than I originally cushioned for! Everyone was impressed by her knowledge and ease of directing people and overall, I am SO grateful we had this amazing professional take care of us on our wedding day! Phil was also amazing. He had a lot of tips to relate from his vast experience as a wedding DJ, and it was clear he was enthusiastic about DJing weddings and music in general from our conversation on the phone. He asked for specifics where needed, and he managed to smoothly transition some songs I wanted for ceremony, despite our officiant messing it all up. Phil played it by ear and played the music I requested as best as he could with the mess-up, and I really appreciated it. Maybe it's generally known or standard for DJs to have good-sounding equipment but I just wanted to mention that Phil DID have very good quality speakers, the music was crystal clear and could be easily heard and projected well without being too loud and grating. We requested just fun, upbeat popular songs to dance to at the reception, particularly maybe 2015 or before (since we haven't really listened to recent music) and he obliged easily. He got everyone on the dance floor with ease from the beginning, and many of us are not very young anymore, so we had to step off the dancefloor after the initial energetic rush but we LOVED all the music and fun going on. He of course threw in a few popular slow-dancing songs as well, and overall everything was perfectly balanced. He was calm and helpful, and his emcee style was just the right amount of laid back and fun (some weddings I see DJs trying really hard to get people hyped up and screaming and it's exhausting to us, so Phil was just the right DJ for us). One of my guests commented to me after how amazing a DJ he was, and when his daughters get married he'll ask me for who DJed my wedding :) We received our sneak peak and full gallery technically even earlier than promised. Mike Staff is so efficient, professional, and experienced, we were blown away. Our photos came out amazing, and I'm grateful Jenny and Priyanka were able to photograph two unphotogenic and awkward people and display us beautifully and capture all our moments. Overall, my husband and I felt well taken care of on our wedding day and we highly recommend them!

Video: I wasn’t so sure about hiring a videographer at all, thinking I wouldn’t actually watch the footage back but I was wrong. I LOVE being able to relive this day over and over again. Jake did such a great job of making us feel comfortable and not like there was a giant camera in our faces the whole day. He was very friendly and relatable. Jake went over things we wanted video of and made sure to record those things and more! We were sent a short video (about 10 minutes) of our wedding and a long version of the wedding video (about an hour and a half), both were great! Overall, Mike Staff is an awesome company to hire for your wedding. You are able to “shop around” within the company and pick the person that best fits what you need. Jake and DJ Kevin J were our top picks for our wedding because their interests and style blended best with us. I have already recommended Mike Staff to many of my friends who are getting married in the next few years and I will continue to recommend them!

They both had such confidence and command of the proceedings that not once did we worry about asking for certain pictures. We trusted them to get the shots that mattered most - and they did! Mary knew how much sunset pictures meant to us and kept an eye on the sky after it rained and ensured we got the magical pictures we dreamt of... Sylvester took some of the most amazing video shots that make us smile from ear to ear as we re-watch our videos. And finally... last but not least... Josh kept that party rocking - so much so that he was constantly moving his station further back from the moving dance floor to make room for the party! Not once did we worry about the schedule of the reception or a bare dance floor, because we knew it was in very capable hands with Josh leading the night! We were able to have our engagement photos with our photographer, Mary, to see if this was the right fit for us on our wedding day. And we are so glad we did! She even helped us plan our day from morning to night. She was on time, very informative, helpful with posing, but also in capturing moments when we were our true selves. We cannot thank her enough, and are thrilled with our wedding photos! Our videographer, Dylan, captured every moment! He even offered to stay a couple hours longer than we had paid for originally, capturing some fun moments on the dance floor. We received our entire uncut/unedited ceremony and all of the toasts, as well as an amazing “Mini-Movie” that our friends and family have loved! And our DJ, Matt, has an amazing voice for the job. Transitioned our music well as we had three separate songs as part of our full processional. He learned our large wedding party’s names and pronunciations quickly, and kept the dance floor going all night! MSP had an issue uploading some of our photos to our album, but if technology a month after our wedding day was our biggest problem, I’d say working with MSP couldn’t have been better! We were still able to get all our photos, no problem. Having photography, videography, and DJ all from the same team was so helpful in that they all had the same respectful, fun, and familiar personalities, worked well together, and could communicate easily with one another on the day of our wedding.
