Mike's Light & Sound DJ

Mike convinced us he was perfect for the job because he'd worked in the venue before and knew how to work in the space. We signed a contract, paid way more than what we had budgeted, and felt secure in our choice. Except he screwed up every single cue. We agonized over a playlist that was never played. The only song he played at the right time was (thank God) the wedding march. When confronted about it, he made every excuse in the book, even saying that the music files we provided weren't converted right. Tell me, what kind of professional doesn't check this kind of thing ahead of time? He also said that the songs got mixed out of order, which is silly because I labeled and NUMBERED every song on the list. He refused to provide even a partial refund. Our wedding was basically used as a date night for him and his girlfriend. When we explained that we were going to do a fake exit for photos and we wanted him to play the song for that moment, he refused because it wasn't time for him to leave yet. When it was time, he started packing up before the song ended. Please just save yourself the anxiety and keep looking. He introduced each song with "And they've chosen a song for this, so let's play that." or something along those lines. We still can't get over how unprofessional he was.

Mike was a wonderful individual-very nice and helpful and would receive 5 stars. However, he was not the one that actually was at my wedding. My DJ "sat there like a bump on a log" according to my grandmother. He had no interaction with anyone at all, make poor music decisions until my cousins started making requests, and generally did nothing at all. I could have done just as well playing an Ipod myself during the thing. However, he was on time and kept music playing throughout, even if it did stink.

Mr. Mike is wonderful! He runs the show you have nothing to worry about he makes sure things go as planned. He is reasonably priced and he is very thorough!
