Mikhail Glabets Wedding Photography

Mikhail photographed our December 2022 wedding, and now almost exactly a year later, we are still so happy with how our wedding photos turned out. Mikhail is extremely talented, and not your traditional wedding photographer. He is hilarious and high energy, and was able to honor our requests, while also capturing all the candid and behind-the-scenes moments in the most unexpected and artistic ways. We would definitely recommend Mikhail to any couple who not only wants awesome photos, but wants to have a blast and feel completely at ease while taking them.

Mikhail did our engagement photos and we had a lot of fun with him. He brought great energy and creativity to the session, giving us a bit of direction and helping us feel at ease in front of the camera. He responded to my emails quickly. Highly recommend!

If you want to have the best time taking your wedding photos (or photos in general), then I would highly recommend hiring Mikhail. To start, he was incredibly responsive from my first email with him to post-wedding communication. My husband and I did not stop laughing the entire day of our wedding, which made for even better photos! His vision completely aligned with ours and the photos were exactly what I was looking for and more. I can assure you that you won't be disappointed!

TLDR; Just choose Mikhail. We met Mikhail at our good friends wedding and absolutely fell in love with his work. We immediately knew we wanted to have him photograph our wedding. Mikhail is so fun to work with, wildly creative, and truly amazing at capturing the emotion and magnitude of the day. His work is authentic and unlike anyone else. He made the whole process incredibly easy, making sure that our needs were met all while providing us with a lighthearted and fun environment. We opted to do an engagement session with Mikhail which we are SO happy about. We used the beautiful imagery on our invitations and wedding website. He made such an effort to get to know us and his work reflected that. Mikhail went above and beyond. We could not recommend him more!

I was referred to Mikhail by another photographer and I’m so happy!! On our initial all, he spent a lot time talking with me and getting a sense of exactly what we were looking for. I’m a creative so I had a clear vision of what I hoped for our wedding photos and he made it happen, perfectly! We recently had our New Year’s Eve wedding, and my biggest concern for our photos was that it would be pitch black out for our ceremony and reception, with no natural light. Mikhail put me at ease from our first call and said that these photos would be cool, moody, lots of direct flash and after getting our previews back, they are AMAZING. Mikhail has a real talent in bringing real, candid moments to life. I absolutely love his documentary style approach. His photos bring me right back to that day and make me tear up every time! Aside from his talent, Mikhail is funny, easy-going, friendly and an awesome wedding guest! He made me feel so calm and kept me laughing all day, even through some challenges. He always asked me if I was ok with what we were doing, he doesn’t force posed photos (unless that’s what you want) he’s a true creative professional and I would work with him over and over again! We can’t wait to get our full album back!!

We hired Mikhail in 2019 to be our wedding photographer for a June 2020 wedding. He took our engagement photos and they were amazing. Covid ended up preventing us from having our dream wedding as planned, but we still had a small backyard wedding that we paid Mikhail for separately, as we still planned to have our dream wedding in 2021. We also paid Mikhail an additional deposit to hold a 2021 date for us, no questions asked as covid impacted the wedding industry the hardest. We got our wedding photos back and they were great, we had the best day and Mikhail captured all of that in his photographs. However, when we then had to cancel our 2021 wedding because of covid restrictions again, Mikhail was the ONLY wedding vendor that did not refund our money. We also didn’t expect a full refund, but asked for a credit to use in the future for baby photos, family photos, potentially a wedding celebration etc. Mikhail refused to do this as well, essentially losing tons of future business with us, and all those close to us that I would have previously highly recommended him for. While Mikhail takes great pictures, we were extremely turned off and disappointed by his business practice during this difficult time, and his rude attitude in all conversations we had regarding the cancellation of our wedding. Due to this, I unfortunately would not recommend Mikhail as I believe the way someone handles themselves and their business, and their professionalism or lack thereof should definitely play a part when choosing a photographer for your special day.

We reached out to Mikhail for our wedding after seeing his amazing portfolio. He responded quickly and we had a lot of phone talking to him on the phone to get a sense of his style and what we were looking for. He's friendly, funny, down to earth, professional, and a true artist. We made us feel totally at ease and made us feel empowered to decide what we wanted from our wedding pictures (posed portraits, natural moments). We were in total awe of our wedding album -- he perfectly captured us, our friends and family, and our day. We've looked through them so many times already and have gotten so many compliments on our pictures. Looking at our pictures takes us right back to our wedding day and we we feel so grateful to have these special memories!

A friend recommended Mikhail to us and we were thrilled with the photography! We met Mikhail for a drink in our initial conversation and he immediately put us at ease and made us laugh. We had a great time doing our engagement photos with him and he captured our energy and happiness so beautifully. For the wedding, we were overjoyed at the results - he delivered a massive amount of edits photos, as well as a printed album. He was easygoing as we wrangled our large families, and somehow was in all the right spots at all the right times throughout the night. His photos captured so much joy, love, laughter, and energy and were exactly what we were hoping for. He's going to make you laugh, hustle all day/night, and capture you authentically.

I love Mikhail! His work speaks for itself, but an added bonus is that he is super chill, HILARIOUS and will take the best candid photos that you can imagine. He captures "real moments" effortlessly and truly takes pictures that really show a couple's personality. Mikhail was also super accommodating when we had to move our wedding due to COVID. Mikhail listens and does not force awkward "posed" photos - unless that's what you want! He made my husband and I feel so comfortable - we hadn't taken professional photos together prior to our engagement shoot and Mikhail made the session super fun and relaxing, while shooting amazing photos. We cannot wait to throw a 5-year anniversary party and have Mikhail capture those moments too!

We hired Mikhail for a small family-only wedding at a private residence on Cape Cod. From start to finish, he was an absolute pleasure to work with. Prior to the event, he was extremely responsive and answered all of our questions. At the event, he was fun, natural, and kind to all of our guests. He also struck the perfect balance of being accommodating to our preferred style of photos while also giving us his professional advice and guidance. And the photos, they are incredible! Mikhail clearly has quite a bit of natural talent. We had a difficult setting for photos, with an intense sunset in the background of our ceremony, but Mikhail was able to capture unbelievable photos and make the most of the lighting. Overall we are thrilled we went with Mikhail for our wedding, and we would recommend him to anyone in the Greater Boston area (and beyond!).

He has so much passion for capturing real moments - and so much energy, you’ll see him running around capturing every important moment and you will hardly even realize he’s there. I don't know where all of the 5 stars are coming from? Some of the pictures were very nice however most were just so so. So many pictures you would expect were not taken. There was no picture of the bride and groom with the bride holding her bouquet. No picture of the bride with her bridesmaids. No picture of the bride's parents alone. ( tag we were it! Groom's parents and grandparents deceased) A wedding photographer should know basic shots without being told. Feeling sad!!

We absolutely loved working with Mikhail. We were so excited he was available for our wedding because we love that he is so fun and easy going. Especially if you are awkward in front of the camera he helps put you at ease and be yourselves. During the wedding day he keeps stress levels down, and has it all under control. We are thankful we did engagement photos and had him come to the rehearsal dinner too...they are some of our favorite photos. I can't believe how well he did with the family photos under such a time crunch and long list. We love Mikhail and strongly reccommend him for any family/wedding photography needs.

I cannot say enough positive things about Mikhail. He is a pleasure to work with and takes incredible pictures. Mikhail was quick with our formal pictures (which is what we asked for) and was always there when we wanted a shot. Many family members commented on how he was always there but blended in so it didn't feel like he was hovering. We asked Mikhail to extend his time by an hour which he gladly did at a whim so we could get more pictures of people dancing. He is fun to work with and I would highly recommend him to everyone!

Wedding photography is both a skill and an art. There are plenty of photographers out there with the right equipment but don't know how to use it. You'll see a lot of wedding photos on social media where the horizons aren't level, the backgrounds are cut off on one side, or the checkered floors don't line up with the edges of the photo even though the chairs line up with the floor!! Many can take technically superb photos but don't have the art. They'll send you a boatload of photos of people blinking, mid-expression, or a bunch of the same exact photos. Their 'editing' was a joke and nothing more than slapping a watermark on the photo. You owe yourself better. Contact Mikhail and go meet him. He is a very laid back guy and very easy to get along with. You tell him the who, what, where, and when, and he will take care of the rest. He will work with your planner or coordinator if you have one. He will show up, take all the photos you need/ask for and then he will be a ninja taking photos of everyone and everything else. And what you get back a few weeks later are stunning, beautiful, high quality, perfect color, perfect brightness, high resolution photos that take you right back to your wedding. Everyone looks great in all of them. His shutter clicked at the perfect moment to capture the expressions on their face. You can *feel* the emotion of the moment. They are that good! We were lucky to have had him as our photographer.

We are beyond happy with our wedding photos from Mikhail. He captured every emotion of the day, every special moment - big or small, every detail, and our true selves. We had a small wedding and he blended seamlessly with our guests, we barley noticed him taking photos (which helps when you have a “photo” face). There are a lot of wedding photographers out there - but Mikhail is one of the few great ones. We highly recommend him for any photo needs.

We had a lot of fun working with Mikhail, he was very easy to work with and did a great job of making everyone feel comfortable. He has great vision and style and he was able to perfectly capture the feel of the day with some really memorable shots. Mikhail was also self-sufficient on the wedding day, he was able to work well with other vendors and knew where he needed to be. We would absolutely recommend him to anyone.

Mikhail is one of the best in the BIZ! We knew we wanted him as our wedding photographer after looking through his blog. When we met him, it was icing on the cake! He is so funny, and it’s fun to have him around. He is super responsive throughout the whole process. The wedding day he was professional but super relaxed. He is actually pretty comical. It felt like having one of our friends as our photographer. But the main point- THE PHOTOS. I love the photos he takes, and I love the way my photos came out. He’s able the bring the emotion and love into the photos. And super creative! He has a photojournalism style, but he gladly took any sort of photo we wanted. Honestly, most of the time I didn’t even realize he was around after the start of the ceremony because he everywhere and nowhere at the same time. He promptly got the photos back to us 5 weeks after the wedding, but he also sent us about 20 (amazing) highlight photos only a couple of days after the wedding. I recommend using him as your engagement and wedding photographer. I will be using him again in the future!!

Mikhail is a true artist that absolutely knows how to deliver. Our wedding was held at my in-laws home right after a remodel. Overall, the home was complete but there were some details that just did not get finished (decorated) in time like the color of the trim, blank walls, lack of curtains... mostly just the details. Mikhail did a great job of hiding these small thinsg well in his shots. Also, it rained A LOT on our wedding day. We hired mikhail because I adore his modern, wide lens sunset shots but due to the weather we just could not get those. He still managed to pull off some excellent and artistic pieces by using the lighting to his advantage and improvising last minute. I am very pleased. As an aside, he has a great personality and interacted with the guest (young and old) in a fun and professional manner. Thanks so much for everything!!!

Mikhail is the best! He takes gorgeous pictures that capture the true essence of the moment and he is so fun to work with. He is laid-back, but also make sure that everyone is looking good and that we are staying on schedule. He is also just a lot of fun to have around taking the pictures, encouraging you to have fun and be yourself with it.

Mikhail is amazing. We were very particular when we were looking for a wedding photographer since our biggest fear was ending up with "cheesy" posed photos of the whole evening. Not the case with Mikhail. His photography is perfect story telling and he has a talent for capturing real moments that you will treasure for a lifetime (just look at his website and you will see what I mean). He easily managed to beautifully photograph our winter wedding (in the cold, in the dark and in the snow) and he is so fun to work with. Hiring Mikhail was easy because we felt like we were working with a friend from the moment we met him. Book Mikhail. I stumbled across his blog while searching for wedding photos at the two venues we were deciding between (turns out he had shot at both) and instantly fell in love with his natural-light focused, genuine style. He made my husband and I feel at ease immediately and was super accommodating when we were pains in in the butt and asked him to make the trek from Boston to NH for just our engagement photos. For our wedding, he connected with us well in advance and asked specifically what we were looking for and if there were any particular shots we wanted. We gave him a list and he made sure those shots were ALL taken. He did a great job capturing the anticipation of getting ready, the emotion during the ceremony, and the celebration and joy during the reception. He got photos of moments we didn't know were happening and his photos will help us to relive that perfect day forever. Having to choose from over 900 photos feels nearly impossible because they're all so great. We're so grateful Mikhail was available for our wedding and we love the finished product!!

Max and I hired Mikhail to capture our wedding day and we are so glad he did! I first started looking around for photographers and noticed him. Mikhail was capturing our wedding on Sep 2011 at Fruitlands Museum located at Harvard MA. I picked that place since I loved the view and greenery. Mikhail did a great job to capture the scenery even more beautiful than it comes to eyes. Same as most of other brides I was checking lots of online sites for wedding photographer but most of them were taking kind of cliché wedding pictures. I wanted something different and natural to have the memory of the spirit of our wedding with all our lovable family and friends. Someone to capture the moments; I didn’t want to play a role on the camera and have some princess pictures. Mikhail is the exact person for this purpose. He is also very flexible, responsible, on time and moreover he loves what he is doing. Last but not least his package is by far more reasonable than most of other wedding picture packages.
