We just had our wedding here March 22, 2025 and it was beautiful! They had great communication, Betsy answered all of our questions promptly! I also loved their fully open vendor policy because it allowed us to do so much within our budget!
I will say when looking at their full package pricing, there is a little bit of sticker shock. Do not let this scare you off immediately from this venue! While you can’t book partial package more than 3 months in advance, you can if you are booking in the off season (I think Dec- March) and for us this property was WORTH IT! This is what we did and we were able book this beautiful property a year and 2 months in advance. Back in Jan 24’, we paid $4500 for the barn for 48 hours and $2500 for the Estate House for 24 hours. All in all, we had the property to ourselves for 48 hours for about $7000 so we were able to host our rehearsal dinner there, get ready in the house day of and spend the night in the house the night of our wedding. I really loved this venue as the property is beautiful and classy and I really think it is worth its price!!
We had a June wedding at Mildale Farm and it was absolutely perfect! Betsy was phenomenal throughout the planning process helping us in any way she could. We stayed on the property for the whole weekend and it was lovely, such a nice space for all of our wedding party to stay at. I could not recommend Mildale Farms more!
We had our wedding here in August and it was a great experience! We booked for the entire weekend and enjoyed the use of both guest houses to accommodate our bridal party. We had our rehearsal dinner here and used the patio for our ceremony. All of our guests thought the venue was so beautiful and our photos turned out great! Betsy is awesome to work with too! And
We had an absolute amazing time throwing our wedding at Mildale! Having the venue for multiple days was so useful and we got to enjoy it with our family and friends the whole weekend. It was a beautiful weekend and I could not recommend it enough! Only downside (and it's small) is that there are no freezers at the reception site to store ice so we had our wedding party donate their coolers and stored ice in those. Hopefully in the near future they can get a freezre there, but otherwise it was great :)
Betsy is absolutely great to work with! She made sure everything was what we expected! We had a long engagement and she communicated with me so great throughout that time. The venue is absolutely gorgeous and is great for a big crowd!
Can’t recommend this venue enough! First off, it’s beautiful! Betsy, the venue coordinator is so sweet and really responsive. Big perk of this venue for us is that you get the whole grounds which consisted of the main barn, a large (estate) house, and then a smaller (cottage) house from Thursday afternoon to Monday morning of your wedding weekend! We loved this because it allowed us to have our wedding party stay with us and truly make a weekend of it! Getting the grounds that long is also a plus because you can have your rehersal dinner there, as well. Having the venue for that many days also paid off when it came to setting up. It’s a big job to get everything sat up at Mildale because they (the venue) does not help with any set up. Another big plus for Mildale for us, was they allowed you to bring it your own catering and bartenders / alcohol!
If you know you and your partner want to be very hands-on with all the details of your wedding I cannot recommend Mildale enough. The weekend rental from Thursday-Monday allowed us to set up in advance, host rehearsal dinner, have our ceremony and reception, and gave us ample time and space to be with our wedding party. We saved so much money by being able to host all of the events in one location and taking care of all of the setup on our own. Betsy is fantastic to work with and the monthly open houses are very helpful in the planning process.
Mildale was the most beautiful venue. It was perfect having the whole property for the weekend. We were able to have a relaxed rehearsal on Friday because of the option they gave us to have the property from Thursday to Monday morning. It is a beautifully kept property, with so many options available for your big day. We did our ceremony at the Estate and our reception at the barn and it was perfect. Could not recommend it more. The staff was responsive & easy to work with as well. Also, this venue photographs beautifully. No complaints here!
My daughter's wedding was PERFECT at Mildale Farm! Everything was clean and tidy! Betsy, through Jo Co, was wonderful to work with! Highly recommend this venue!
Betsy is the Facility Rental Coordinator and she is the one I did all of my communication with when it came to questions regarding the venue. Betsy was quick to respond, knowledgeable, and accommodating. I attended so many open houses and would bring friends/family to help with my “vision” and she would always greet us with a big smile. We did have the facility from Thursday-Monday of that weekend. You are in charge of set up. If I’m being honest, I didn’t mind that part of it. It allowed me to have a say in how I wanted the venue decorated and since we had the time, we didn’t feel rushed. The grounds, barn, cottage, and estate house are all kept in pristine condition (biggest bummer is we couldn’t bring our dog. Probably a blessing in disguise looking back at how busy we were). The only thing I didn’t realize when booking our wedding date was that it was still too cold to have any flowers planted in the pots. We just bought some fake ones for the pots at the altar so it wouldn’t look so bare. The estate house and cottage come with a fully stocked kitchen. Mildale Farm has endless photo opportunities. The barn has plenty of bathroom stalls. Once you check in they provide you with a phone number to contact in case you need help with something and maintenance will be onsite in a timely manner. All in all, I was impressed with the venue and all it had to offer. They helped make my dream come true.
Mildale Farm is a hidden gem. We booked the full rental for a June 2022 wedding, but for personal reasons decided to move the wedding up several months to February. Betsy was very accommodating with the change. The grounds are absolutely breathtaking. The venue itself isn’t brand new, but if you appreciate old things (like I do) the estate house and cottage house are full of a ton of character and so much fun. We got married in the south end of the barn and had the reception in the middle area, with the bar and cocktail area in the northern end. We had about 110 people at the ceremony (with a string trio and harp taking up quite a bit of space) and 160 at the reception. It was perfect and didn’t feel crowded at all. The barn is a blank slate and you do have to literally bring in almost everything to make it all work, so it’s important to be organized! This is a pro and also a con. On one hand you get to make the venue work however you want. The downside is that it requires a lot more planning coordination with vendors to logistically pull everything off. For this reason I do recommend hiring a planner or coordinator because you will be making a lot of logistical decisions and juggling a lot of vendors. After all was said and done the wedding was breathtaking, and when it was time to turn over the keys on Monday morning we didn’t want to leave!
We got married at Mildale Farm this past weekend, and it was absolutely beautiful. We got married in the Barn, but also rented out the cottage house. The pricing for the length of time you are able to rent the different buildings is amazing, and the staff are super flexible with time changes. Overall, it was everything I could've asked for!
When we first drove up to the Mildale Farm property we immediately fell in love with it! Amazing and beautiful can't even begin to describe this venue!
We rented out the venue for the whole weekend (Thursday-Monday). We had friends and family travelling from all over the US so it was so helpful to have the venue to hold the reception and afterwards we invited extended family and friends to come and visit too.
It was also so nice to have this venue for the extended time frame because it allowed us to take our time and decorate the barn completely on Thursday. We were so much less stressed! We also held the rehearsal dinner in the barn Friday night.
The bridal party stayed in each of the houses which made it so convenient and fun for them!
Betsy the point person was AMAZING!!!!! She was very knowledgeable and quick to respond! Thank you Betsy!!
I first toured Mildale Farm at the end of winter in March 2020 as we were planning a wedding for early January, 2021. Even though there were no leaves on the trees and it was a freezing day, I could still see the incredible potential of the large equestrian barn. Sarah walked us through all the steps and was really easy to communicate with as we booked the venue and as I emailed and called her multiple times with questions over the months. Ultimately, we had to part ways with this beautiful venue, due to restrictions related to COVID-19. Sarah was so helpful throughout the whole process. She was responsive, communicated clearly, and was very professional. I would recommend Mildale to anyone willing to drive a bit outside of KC for a lovely, peaceful venue.
Mildale Farms is beautiful and such a breathtaking venue. We purchased the full rental package and it was worth every penny! Some of our family members were able to stay with us on the property and it became like a destination wedding, but so close to home. I cannot wait to see all of the beautiful photos from our time at Mildale! The only recommendation I would have for the venue is to update accommodations the upstairs room/bathroom in the cottage.
Mildale was the venue of my dreams! We received so many compliments on our venue and I couldn’t have been happier with how everything turned out. We went with the full weekend package and it was really great. We loved having the house from Thursday - Monday. It allowed us to sort of have a destination wedding while still only being a 30 min drive away from home. I want to give Sarah and her team extra kudos for getting someone out to the house very late on the night before the wedding when the furnace at the house went out. Sarah was easy to work with and was very responsive whenever we contacted her. We loved this venue and think it’s a perfect spot for couples who are ready to have full control of their vendors, layout, decorations, etc.
OH MY GOSH! The most amazing venue ever. We were able to do the full package of moving in on Thursday and not leaving till Monday and it was the best thing ever. Being able to spend that time with friends and family felt so intentional and just totally worth it. ALSO - Sarah made us feel so welcome and gave us many ideas on how to setup and plan everything. This place will always have a place in our hearts. LOVE LOVE LOVE.
The best decision in venues we could have made. We had access Thursday at 1pm through Monday at 10am. It is such a beautiful property with many options for ceremony sites. The barn is climate controlled which was important to us. There are 2 houses in site and the entire wedding party stayed there. Sarah is very helpful and great to work with.
Wonderful venue....they are professional, helpful, accommodating, and very enjoyable to be around. There is a tried and true system in place to make it a great experience. Such a beautiful place that you don't have to go crazy decoratiing. Enjoy the Experience and don't rush so much you can't take it all in!
We LOVED this venue as did our guests!! The houses were fantastic. We used this venue for the full weekend rental and I am so glad we did. We stayed at the property and were able to make our wedding day stress free since we were able to set things up slowly and take things down on our own time. We loved that we could do our rehearsal dinner on property and that we had no vendor restrictions! We took advantage of the firepit a few nights and it was such a great time. We have so many wonderful memories we were able to capture on the farm and I am so glad we found the open weekend and took it! Defininitely recommend!!
We got married one of the snowy weekends in January and oh Mildale Farm was a great place for the reception! There was so much space to allow us so many options for how we wanted to lay everything out...we would highly recommend having a reception here! Sarah was great to work with and helped answer all of our questions!
Mildale Farm was the most perfect place to have my wedding! My family rented the whole property which was perfect because literally my entire family lives out of state. It was so nice to just get out there and be able to relax the few days before and after the wedding without having to worry about rushing to get everything set up and taken down immediately. The estate house was perfect for spending time with family in a more homey environment and was big enough so the whole bridal party could get ready in the same place without risk of running into each other. The barn is so freaking beautiful! I don’t think that was what any of our guests were thinking when we said we were getting married in a barn. The staff was so responsive to any questions or concerns.
Make sure you are very clear about what is on the inventory list, like go over each item that you think might be included, when I went to visit several times there was a bar that appeared to be included with the venue but upon arriving on Thursday came to realize it was not a part of the rental, we had to scramble a bit to find a bar to rent, we also rented high chairs since they were not listed on the inventory sheet but once we arrived we realized there were high chairs already there.
I got married on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Mildale Farm. I cannot say enough positive things about this venue! The property is such a magical escape and the perfect location for a wedding. Because we got married in the "off" season, we were able to do a partial rental 6 months in advance. We chose to rent the barn venue for 48 hours (*highly recommend doing this - we were able to fully decorate the entire ceremony & reception space the day before the wedding. we also held our rehearsal dinner in the space that evening and just cleaned up those tables at the end of the evening). The 48 hours also allowed my family to come back and pick up any leftover decorations and last-minute clean sweeping. My husband and I stayed in the cottage that evening. My bridal party and I got ready and hung out there during the day! It was absolutely perfect! Sarah Vogelsberg is also so wonderful! She was extremely helpful and was always prompt on answering any questions I had. Being able to attend the Tuesday evening open-house that they have once a month was also a huge help! We went the month before and realized how dark it would be in the ceremony space in the winter so we did have to add some hanging lights. They looked beautiful, but just something to keep in mind for the other winter brides! It was an incredible day and Mildale was the most perfect venue choice! Our guests loved it as well and we received many compliments. We had a wedding of about 170ish guests with plenty of room! I highly recommend! Thank you! :)
Mildale was amazing for my daughter and now son-in-laws wedding!! We rented the whole facility for the weekend. It was great to have the wedding party stay in the Estate House and the groom's parents stay in the cottage. Every part of the venue was incredible for the weekend. I highly recommend this venue for your wedding!!! Sarah was very helpful and easy to work with.
Five Stars. Hands down. Sarah was great and easy to work with. We fit 210 attendees in the main area (not touching dance floor) without any issues.
Mildale Farm was a magical place for our wedding. Sarah and the entire grounds crew were fantastic to work with. Our wedding was on September 29, 2018. We opted to rent the entire Farm from Thursday at 1:00 PM through Monday at 8:00 AM. We were able to bring in our own food, alcohol and decorations which made it possible to have our dream wedding. We went with a rustic theme with navy, cabernet, dusty rose and gold colors. Our ceremony was down by the lake at 5:00 PM, our cocktail hour was at the back off the estate house at 6:00 PM and our reception was in the barn from 7:00 PM to Midnight. Cleaning up wasn't that bad as we had a brunch on Sunday and everyone pitched in to help. If you are looking for a place to truly have a one of kind wedding where you get to choose everything you want, then I highly recommend Mildale Farm.
This wedding venue is a dream come true. It feels like you are on a movie set- everything is so beautiful. Sarah and her team give you the freedom to decorate as you see fit as long as you follow some reasonable guidelines. We rented the venue from Thursday-Monday and loved every minute of it.
There are so many options for how and where to have your ceremony on site and all of them are beautiful. This venue can be as fancy or as casual as you like- it truly felt like home while we were there. I’d recommend it a million times over.
Thanks to Mildale Farm, we had the May wedding of our dreams. It is the perfect place for brides who are looking for a rustic/chic theme for their wedding. Sarah was wonderful to work with, and always answered all of our questions and allowed us to come walk through the property multiple times. We chose the Thursday-Monday option, so we had plenty of time to set up for everything. I also loved how we got to spend the whole weekend there. Most of the bridal party stayed on the property, so it gave the feel of a “destination” wedding. The grounds are absolutely breathtaking, which made for beautiful pictures. Mildale Farm will always hold a very special place in our hearts!
We could not have asked for a more magical, beautiful, and romantic wedding, thanks to Mildale! Mildale Farms was the most beautiful location and Sarah was so kind and wonderful to work with. My dream wedding was turned into a reality here ❤️
Mildale Farm was a complete DREAM! The venue is gorgeous and its a DIY brides heaven. The options and possibilities for decor, layouts, and event locations are endless. Selling point for us was having the location for 4 days. It allowed us the time to set up and tear down without taking away from the wedding weekend festivities. It was wonderful having the two houses for the parties to get ready separately and for one party to stay the night the night before the wedding. There’s plenty of room for hair and make up to come to the house as well! Sarah is the contact for the venue and she makes the process such a breeze. She’s always just an email away and never failed to be there when we needed help leading up to the wedding. I’m still getting compliments on how beautiful our venue was and I haven’t once regretted picking Mildale Farm
This was the perfect venue for our wedding. It fit our theme incredibly and had the most beautiful details. We barely needed to add any decorations-- it's that gorgeous!
Perfect four-day weekend at Mildale Farm. We planned this Kansas wedding from the East Coast, and I couldn't have been more pleased to hear from all of our friends how much they love the Sunflower State. Highly recommend!
Had my wedding here at the beginning of August and it was SO beautiful! We just did the 24 hour option, which was perfect for us as we were allowed to pick exactly what time we wanted our rental timeframe to be. Sarah the coordinator was very helpful during our wedding planning and responds quickly to any questions you have. Mildale Farm is so gorgeous on its own that it really doesn’t require much decorations. What we really liked is the size of the barn that allowed us to spread everything out and the option of doing our ceremony inside if we needed without the stress of having to flip the space. Would recommend to everyone!
Choosing Mildale Farms as our reception site was by far the best decision we made when it came to the wedding. By letting us be on the property from Thursday to Monday, we were able to hold my bachelorette party, our rehearsal dinner, our reception and our Sunday brunch all at the same beautiful property. It felt like a getaway wedding even though it was 30 minutes from where I grew up. All of our guests were amazed by the beauty of Mildale and we received so many compliments on what a beautiful gem we found by choosing this reception site. Mildale will always hold a special place in our hearts. It made our wedding weekend everything I imagined it would be and more. I would strongly recommend this site for your wedding.
Mildale was OUTSTANDING. They were amazing communicators, so patient with all our questions, and the venue was breathtaking. We had zero problems with this venue and have already recommended it to others!
We would pick this venue again and again! Working with Sarah was amazing from the day we signed the contract to the big day! She was very helpful in all aspects of the planning and she truly cared about making the day special for the bride and groom. And the venue speaks for itself, BEAUTIFUL!!! We absolutely loved this place!!
Our wedding weekend at Mildale Farm was an absolute dream. I came across this venue a couple of years ago and have had it in the back of my mind since. It was the first out of two venues we looked at and quickly realized Mildale was exactly what we wanted. Sarah, the events coordinator was so wonderful to work with. She was very responsive, answered all of my questions and then some and was so easy and enjoyable to work with. We rented to property from Thursday-Sunday and had my bridal luncheon and the rehearsal dinner there Friday and the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception on Saturday. There is a lot of information you get up front, everything was very clearly stated...but be prepared to do everything your self! The houses are fully stocked, tables and chairs are provided in 2 areas, but you have to set up/take down the tables and chairs yourself (having the venue Thursday was incredibly helpful!). We had our rehearsal dinner and ceremony behind the Estate House overlooking the water. The scenery was breathtaking. The guys got ready in the Cottage and the girls got ready in the Estate House. The cocktail hour was in-between the Cottage and Estate House under the big trees (it was hot so the shade was ideal)...it was perfect because you could see the whole property and it was beautiful. Then we had the reception in the barn with drapery on each wing and string lights in the center. We contemplated getting a dance floor and I'm so glad we did. The brick is not hard to walk on but the dance floor made dancing so much easier and enjoyable! The property is so beautiful that we stayed on the grounds for photos in-between the ceremony and reception. We rented a couple of golf carts which made the process a lot easier and quicker. Needless to say, we highly recommend this beautiful venue!
We just had our wedding at Mildale Farm and couldn't be happier!! We chose the full package which allowed us to have the property from Thursday through Monday. Sarah, the event coordinator was awesome to work with and was extremely accommodating. We allowed our wedding party to stay at the venue with us which turned our one day celebration into a whole weekend celebration-being close with all of our out of town guests was ablast. the grounds are immaculately kept and you can tell the maintenance crew puts a lot of hard work and dedication into their work. we received compliment after compliment from guests on how beautiful the venue was, as well as just random people in town when we mentioned we were having it at Mildale. Our photographer and videographer were absolutely overjoyed with how their photos were coming out that we can't wait to see them ourselves!! can't go wrong with booking at Mildale!!
Mildale was sooo so so 100% amazing!!!! We chose the whole weekend package so that meant we had a large estate house with 5+ beds and baths and a small cottage house, this was great to accommodate out of town family all weekend. We could start setting up our ceremony and reception on Thursday and didn’t have to be out of the venue until Monday. Also, Sarah who is the lead coordinator was phenomenal to work with. We had our rehearsal on the back patio of the estate house. The scenery out there is GORGEOUS (ponds! Woods, pretty green grass, flowers! ❤️), and the large barn itself is so so so stunning and beautiful. Such a perfect setting for an outdoor or sophisticated rustic vibe. They have all the chairs and tables you’ll ever need
I just got married at Mildale Farm a little over a week ago, and it was an absolute dream come true! We got engaged in May, and I knew then that I wanted to get married on this property. I loved that the ceremony and reception were in the same place, and there was the option to rent the entire property so that the family and/or wedding party could stay on-site. Sarah was wonderful to work with! She was always available to calm any nerves we had, answer questions, and provide anything we needed! The entire property is gorgeous, and I loved getting ready at the beautiful estate house. We had our rehearsal dinner at the estate house as well, and it worked out great! I can’t say enough good things about this venue and those running it. I feel incredibly blessed to have had the opportunity to get married there!
So thankful we found Mildale Farm! Our daughter wanted a rustic yet elegant wedding, We found Mildale and knew that it was the place for us. We had been looking for a venue where we could host both ceremony and reception inside (winter wedding) and we didn't want to flip the space. Mildale was perfect! The architecture and cleanliness were bonuses. Sarah was great to work with, she answered questions and provided encouragement throughout the process.
This location is absolutely amazing. I can't even begin to describe how gorgeous it is. Not only that, but the manager (Sarah) is GREAT. You can rent out the property for 5 days for what normally would be the cost of other venues for maybe 24 hours. If you choose this location as your venue, I can guarantee you will NOT regret it!
We thought that Mildale was great! They were easy to work with, provided tables, and had a lot of options for hosting both our ceremony and reception. We would definitely use them again.
Mildale Farm is such a wonderful and serene place to have a wedding. My daughter chose this venue for the wide open space, barn feel and the beautiful grounds. The architecture of the barn is simply amazing and provided a rustic backdrop for so many great photos. As mom of the bride, it was so nice to have the ceremony, reception, dinner & dance all in one spot so our guests didn't spend a lot of time traveling! The one downfall was the construction in August which created a little more work in getting appropriate directions out to our guests. Otherwise, a 5 star venue! Thanks Sarah for all of your help!
I am absolutely amazed with the Mildale Farm Wedding Venue. If you are looking for an intimate setting to host this is your place. You get the entire grounds to yourself over the course of the weekend. The staff do an amazing job keeping up on the grounds and houses. I would highly recommend.
This venue was amazing! We hired a day of coordinator to help us out with the last minute details and it turned out beautiful! The only reason I rated down one star was because we only did a partial rental and had to wait until 3 months before to book.
Mildale Farm was the absolute perfect place to get married! My husband and I knew the minute we found it online and went to visit it was the place for us. The beautiful brick drive to the flowers, the grass, the white crisp barn...it is the ultimate picture of elegance and beauty. We got married 7/29/17 and we were so lucky the weather was perfect! High of 83- and for the end of July that's pretty great. We were lucky because we both wanted an outside wedding and the weather cooperated well. The whole package was a bit over our price range so we were lucky to get the 48 hour rental of the barn and then we also added on the cottage for 24 hours for getting ready. We started our barn rental Friday morning so we were able to have the rehearsal there that evening with everything set up during the day on Friday. Married on Saturday and then my friends and family had plenty of time to clean up because we "technically" had it until Sunday morning. I know the whole rental is most common but for anyone just renting the barn I would highly recommend at least the cottage as well. There isn't much extra space in the barn for getting ready or that "in-between" time before the ceremony. The cottage was valuable for the getting ready time for the bridesmaids and myself. Our photos turned out amazing and how could they not with the perfect back drop?
And Sarah was incredible to work with. Every time I would email her I would specify what weekend I was getting married because how difficult would it be having all these crazy brides email you at different times and stages in the wedding planning process! She kept everything straight and always knew when to email with questions. She was so easy to work with. I also love how they have open houses- I went a couple times during the engagement process just to remind myself of the space I had when planning tables and décor and everything.
Overall- it's an amazing venue and you will not be disappointed!
One of my favorite parts of our whole wedding was because we booked Mildale Farm for our 4 day Labor Day Weekend wedding! It truly is breathtaking and gives such a nice Kansan country feel, while still being elegant and beautifully clean. The bridal party stayed in the estate house leading up to the wedding day and we had so much fun as it is such a gorgeous place to hang out and have time together! Sarah V. was such an amazing help and was so flexible with giving us tours and helped with logistics every step of the way! She was so sweet and answered any questions we had! Our rehearsal dinner was in the back of the Estate House patio and it is just such a truly gorgeous venue! There are ponds, a white fence surrounding the property, railroads nearby, a completely renovated house, and incredible Barn venue which we had our reception in! It is what we had always dreamt up for a wedding venue and the grounds crew keeps the flowers, 22 acres of land, and brick all so beautiful! So many guests kept talking about how it was stunning to be out in the country with the stars above us! I am so thankful for Sarah V and Mildale Farm for an unforgettable weekend!
Mildale was the dream venue for our wedding and reception. We got extremely lucky with the weather in June seeing that we had an outdoor ceremony. The barn was beautiful as well for our reception. Sarah was OUTSTANDING to work with and was extremely patient and helpful. We couldn't have pulled off our wedding without her and all of the open house opportunities! Definitely recommend this venue!
My daughter had her heart set on a barn themed wedding but wanted it to be elegant as well. After looking at several venues, we selected Mildale Farms. The grounds were gorgeous and the barn had the rustic elegance we were looking for. Sarah was a dream to work with. She answered my endless emails and questions with such patience. The fact that we could book the venue for 4 days was wonderful. It allowed us to have the rehearsal dinner there and have time to set everything up before the wedding without being overly stressed. There are two houses on the property that worked out perfectly for the bride and groom and their wedding parties to stay on site the night before the wedding as well and my husband and I so we could be hands on while getting everything ready. The wedding turned out beautifully and everything ran so smoothly during the transition from the wedding to the cocktail hour to the reception as the space was big enough to accommodate all three. The groundskeepers were on site and were very helpful with anything we needed. It turned out to be the perfect venue for my daughter's perfect day!
It is a beautiful venue and allows to spend a lot of time with family and friends. We stayed the whole weekend and did not have any problems from start to finish. Everyone was responsive and nice. It was like a mini vacation.
Thank you Sarah for helping us through the road construction during the week of the wedding! The unfortunate event of closing the front gate to Mildale during my wedding became a simple fix thanks to Sarah! You did great and the venue is AMAZING!!! Loved having my wedding there :)
Cannot even imagine a better venue for our son's wedding! Truly spectacular weekend and was incredibly impressed with the grounds care and the amenities included! Highly recommend!!
We were married at Mildale Farm last weekend and I couldn't have imagined having our wedding at any other venue! This place is phenomenal. Guests are truly wowed when they walk in! My favorite thing about Mildale, though, is the full-time access from Thursday - Sunday. It allows for plenty of time to set up, rehearsal dinner, etc. And, more than anything, you feel like the place is yours for a weekend! Every time I drive past Mildale, I'll think of what an amazing weekend we had there!
Mildale Farm is THE picture perfect spot for a wedding! We rented the venue for the entire weekend which allowed us to have the bridal party stay on the property as well as host the rehearsal dinner. This gave us ample time to decorate and tear-down without having to worry about strict deadlines. We had our ceremony and reception in the barn and got so many comments about how gorgeous it was. Book it early because it fills up quick!
We toured this venue a week ago and fell in love! We were hoping for Spring of 2017 and they are all booked. We are so in love with this location that we are moving our wedding into Spring of 2018 so we can execute our fairy tale wedding! The staff was very professional and we look forward to working with them!
We had our wedding here last weekend and it was the best experience I could ever imagine! From the very beginning Sarah was great to work with and I fell in love with the property the first time I saw it. We had our rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception here. I can't imagine a more perfect place for our wedding! The thing we heard most from our guests was how beautiful the property was and several little girls decided that night that's where they wanted to get married :)
Mildale Farm was nothing short of amazing. We went with the full rental which included access to The Barn, The Estate, and The Cottage for 4 days (1pm Thursday-10am Monday). Sarah was our contact for Johnson County Parks & Rec and she was phenomenal. She was responsive to my emails and never acted annoyed with my many questions. She provided multiple layouts from previous couples who used the venue and was overall great to work with.
The venue itself: breathtaking. Though pricey for the full rental, it is totally worth it. We held our rehearsal dinner on site and my bridesmaids and I were able to stay at The Estate the night before the wedding. The Estate fits up to 8 people and provides you anything you can think of minus the actual food and beverage and personal items (i.e. flatware, plates, bowls, coffee pot, coffee cups, trash bags, toilet paper, towels, etc.). The guys were able to get ready on Saturday in the Cottage and we were able to keep separate before the festivities but still close enough we didn't have to worry about transportation issues.
Mildale allows you to bring a golf cart if decided. We would definitely recommend bringing one if you have access to them. Mildale also has 9 fishing ponds that my husband took full advantage of the few days leading up the wedding! It was a nice, relaxing way for him to get his mind off the stress of the upcoming nuptials. You are required to have a state fishing license, but the county fishing license is waived - so a simple $30 at Wal-Mart to enjoy a few days of fishing stocked ponds.
We have nothing negative to say about our experience with Mildale. We would definitely recommend having an event coordinator, or someone who can help keep things moving along as there is no staff provided with the rental. You are responsible for all set up, tear down, & clean up. Nothing a few good family and friends can't help with ;)
Will be booking my reception here. Thoughtful and professional staff. Beautiful venue all around. Pricey for my budget, but beautiful all the same.
My daughter chose this venue to create a beautiful place for out-of-town family and guests to gather and enjoy several days of wedding events together. Mildale did not disappoint! The grounds are exquisitely beautiful, and we used both the estate house and cottage for family guests and pre and post wedding events. The ceremony was held on the beautiful estate patio and the reception was stunning inside the lovely barn. Sarah was so professional and helpful to answer any questions we had or meet any of our needs while on property. Mildale provided the dream come true wedding venue for my daughter as well as our family and guests. Amazing experience!
