Run fast and far away from this company! They ruined the entire process for the planning of my sons wedding. Led us to believe that we had to work with them at a property they represented (it was optional).
Next, their office email was hacked as they did not have strong enough security and the hacker sent notices to 12 brides/grooms to wire their progress payments to their account. It was a fraudulent bank account that came directly from them. Literally a hacker went into staff emails and sent it out to the brides. With a wire, within a very short amount of time after sending, you cannot recover the money. They had multiple people working with my kids from when we first started working with them as people were just coming back to work from the pandemic and their staffing was an issue. Our first payment was sent by the brides parents. The second payment request coming from another planner in the company. Once it was discovered they admitted it was direct from inside their office but they took ZERO responsibility sticking the brides/grooms with huge progress $9500 payments. We were around 2 1/2 months when this happened. We could cancel and fight them in court (with their threats that they would counter for loss) or cut our losses and try to regain some joy in the planning. Due to the short time, and no availability (Covid weddings made things very tight) my kids decided to move forward if they could dump Milestone. We had to get lawyers involved, unbelievable stress and anger, and many tears from our bride and finally cut a deal with them, canceling our agreement with Milestone and contracting directly with the property. Further the owner of the company, Marshall, was rude and condescending. He blamed the kids for not knowing that it was a wrong account ( which was impossible yo know), while admitting that it actually came from inside his operation. They have no protection in the way of cyber insurance to protect the money that they collect on behalf of the venue that they represented. They dragged their feet on this as long as they could putting more and more pressure on the kids. They wanted the kids to sign a non-disclosure agreement which they refused. Hence this review!!
Once we booked directly with the property we encountered many significant inconsistencies in what was and was not allowed at the venue. Thank God that we got rid of them or who knows what the problems would’ve been.
We brought in another wedding planner from Sydney Camille Events, Christa Jabowitz as the venue required somebody who was familiar with the space and she did an amazing job. I highly recommend this company! At the end of the day the venue was wonderful and the wedding was amazing and Christa was fantastic to work with.
I am an event planner and I have been in the business for over 35 years and handle all kinds of major events globally. Never have I experienced such a unprofessional organization. The pain, stress, worry, and the significant extra cost that Milestone Events caused my family because they did not have a secure way of collecting money is inexcusable. The attitude and lack of accountability of this Marshall is something that we professionals in the event business do not condone. If you can’t stand behind your business, your employees and the mistakes that are made by your company your reputation is garbage.
Milestone Events was the first vendor we met with during the wedding planning process. Being from Chicago, their assistance in planning a destination wedding in Sonoma was invaluable. From understanding my vision which allowed them to suggest a few venues, to scheduling appointments and giving tours of different vineyards, to all their assistance and question answering to the day of, I would not have been able to have such a low-stress wedding planning experience as I did without them. We were assigned Samantha as our wedding coordinator, and I cannot say enough great things about her - she was the FOB's favorite vendor contact! Samantha is incredibly organized, responsive, and thinks of all the little things that you would have never thought of. From coordinating our wine tasting to select wines to wrangling our groomsmen during the rehearsal to helping me change into my second dress during the reception, Samantha went above and beyond, and I only wish I had more reasons to talk to her every day!
My husband and I got married at Madrone (now Valley of the Moon) on September 2nd. We originally toured with a February wedding date in mind and loved this venue because of its multiple indoor options in case of inclimate weather. Not only is the outdoor ceremony space absolutely stunning, but there is also an awesome reception space indoors in the tasting room. Had we not gotten married directly during the harvest season, we also would have had access to the barrel room. This is the only venue we toured out of the dozen or so we looked at in wine country that actually has a ceremony space amongst the vines.
We were unlucky enough to end up getting married on a ridiculously hot day and Milestone was totally on top of coming up with solutions for the heat. Two days before, we were on the phone with Jennifer trying to figure out solutions for keeping our guests comfortable. We ended up moving the ceremony into the shade and moving cocktail hour indoors. Additionally, even though it was harvest season, Milestone and Madrone agreed to let my husband and I do our first look in the barrel room. It was a really special moment that we were able to capture and we're very grateful they let us take pictures there.
We had a pretty small wedding-- about 80-- and the space was perfect. There is only one bathroom at the venue, which worked fine for us. There is also a small bridal suite (off the kitchen) that I got dressed in.
If you want a perfect wedding venue that will photograph amazingly and is run by incredible, friendly staff, Madrone/Valley of the Moon should be on your list!
We had our casual rehearsal dinner with all our guests on the deck overlooking the valley. We got a pizza truck to come and were trying to keep expenses down which they were totally willing to work with. The original contact we were in touch with left the company abruptly but the next event manager picked up the pieces are created a seamless event. I highly recommend this location.
My husband and I got married at Trentadue Winery and had the opportunity to work with the Milestone team leading up to and on the day of the event. I was a type-A bride, very organized and detailed oriented and had high expectations of the team to ensure that our day of was perfect. The team at Milestone, especially Krista and Macenzie, were fantastic to work with and did an especially amazing job executing my vision. Everything was seamless and completely exceeded our expectations from beginning to end. With so many variables that could potentially go array, having Krista and Macenzie's execution and professionalism completely mitigated our risk and fears of something going wrong on one of the most important days of our lives. We absolutely would recommend working with Milestone for any event, and especially one as important as your wedding day!
Nick & I live in New York City and we decided to get married in Geyserville, CA, not exactly near each other. Krista Polizo & Macenzie Campolito were extremely professional and provided quality customer service. They provided a list of vendors, which ended up being very helpful when it came to the salon I used, the DJ and the rentals company. All of which were wonderful and extremely professional. Krista & Macenzie were very organized, replied to emails/phone calls promptly and made us feel at ease throughout the whole process. We are so thankful to Krista & Macenzie for helping us design and plan our dream wedding. On the day of I had no worries and everything turned out perfect! I would highly recommend working with Krista & Macenzie!!
We've been to Sbragia Family Vineyard twice in the last 5 years, and we've always loved the breathtaking views! When we were scoping out various venues for our wedding, Sbragia came up in our search as it fell within our (very tight) budget. When we visited the site again, my husband and I knew this was the ONE--the place where we want to get married. We couldn't get over just how beautiful that view is! It's so spectacular and so romantic.
We worked with Megan Misaka of Milestone Events Group. She was extremely helpful throughout the planning process, and there were plenty of times when she put me at ease when I felt overwhelmed. As an example, I didn't know where to start with catering--there were so many options--and Megan was able to help me narrow it down to 2 vendors based on my budget. Megan made me feel like she always had time for me--I never felt rushed nor dismissed. Even during our ceremony, I noticed that she was passing out streamers to our guests. I'm sure there were many other things she did throughout the evening that I didn't get to see. Megan did an excellent job!
My husband and I had a beautiful wedding and we couldn't have asked for more perfect weather for our ceremony. Sbragia has an amazing view of Dry Creek Valley and great wine. Our guests have let us know lots of positive comments about both. Their terrace is partly covered so (if it does happen to rain on your wedding day) there is a potential backup plan to fit the tables under the awning for the reception if your wedding is relatively small. The reasons why I didn't rate this venue 5 stars is because even though my husband expressed concern about the potential darkness of the reception area after sundown (their coordinator had said that purchasing the little tealight candles and christmas lights should be enough to light the dinner area), when it came time for our reception, it really was too dark to see. In hindsight, because our wedding was relatively small (8 tables, 64 guests) we should have placed the reception tables under the awning where it was best lit but the coordinator had suggested because that would decrease the size of the dance floor we may not want to do that. It turned out the dance floor size was almost too big for our party so finding a way to fit the tables under the awning probably would have been a better use of space and lighting. Since I wasn't good at assessing what the best table setup would be, we went with the coordinator's recommendation but I felt if I was able to figure this out after our wedding it should not have been a big jump for the coordinator to realize after having organized other weddings at the winery. Also, there were some unanticipated charges that we felt should have been included in the facility fee (e.g. heat lamps and wine glasses had to be rented) and there was a drop in communication with our caterer who had been referred to us from the winery (e.g. the caterer thought that napkins would be rented by the winery who was handling tablecloth rentals and on the day of the wedding it was realized that napkins were not rented so there was an additional charge from the caterer for emergency rental of napkins from another nearby winery). I would definitely recommend Sbragia for a wedding but just make sure to ask about all rental costs including the items mentioned above and have a plan for lighting the reception table area if you will not be placing the tables under the awning.
