Milroy's Tuxedos

I went in today so my fiance and I could choose the styles that he wanted. We chose them because we had won a free tuxedo in a drawing and cost is a big deal at the moment. However, the staff was incompetent. They did not know how to find the pricing and provided no assistance when we mentioned our colors. I ended up doing all the coordinating of everything asking questions that the sales person should have known after a week of working there. Additionally, everything I had to fill out was on paper and I did not get any copies or any receipts because they did not want to put the information in the system (I assume they had already closed out their sales information for the day). There was another employee there as well, however, I do not know what his role was as he was only intermittently visible on the sales floor. The shop was a mess. They had items that they were using to prepare for an upcoming bridal show and I had to clean of a place to sit and write to fill out the paperwork. I understand there are some limits in a chain store but the service was terrible. Hopefully the rest of the process goes off without incident.

Made picking out tuxedos quick and easy!

A buddy of mine got his tuxedos from Milroy's, and I was a part of his wedding party. Everyone there was very helpful then and made the whole process very smooth. Now that I'm going to be getting married soon I'm getting my tuxedos through Milroy's. The staff is very polite and kind and the manager was extremely helpful with choosing our styles and colors. There were so many options!

I am getting married in June 2015. I saw Milroys Tuxedos at a wedding show in Des Moines this past weekend. Very polite staff and full of energy! They encouraged me to come into the store and take a look at the selection they have. When I did I was blown away at the selection of tuxedos (I think they had like 35 on display) and a huge selection of colors! I recommend everyone use Milroys!

The people at the Ames, IA location were very helpful. I was having a hard time finding the color we wanted, they had a huge selection of colors and patterns for men's wear. They also really helped us work within our budget and deal with our complicated situation (destination wedding with groomsmen all over the US and Canada).

Besides trying to pick up tuxes and being either mis-charged or given the wrong tux, the quality of the tuxes we received were okay at best. Buttons popping off and shirt cuffs sown on by a single thread are not my idea of quality. I will give it to them, when we needed a change, it was very prompt. Just be sure that the suit you pick up has the right name(even after trying it on) and the right price shows at the register. Overall, a mediocre experience.

They are very helpful and can work with anyone out of state. However, they only had one style of jacket that came in ivory.

Execllent!! There were only minor issues with our rentals. They fixed them quickly and everyone was happy. Would definitely recommend.

Milroy's gave me a wonderful experience in my tuxedo shopping process. Very friendly and helpful employees. I was very happy that they were more willing to give me what i want then to just sell me something and not care at all.

Staff were extremely helpful during my initial visit in helping me pick out looks in my wedding colors as well as suggesting small variations for the groom, wedding party, and fathers. Once entered in Milroy's computer groomsmen were able to send by email on a pre-made form their measurements or get measured in out of town milroy's locations which some did. I could have gotten the tuxes for less $ at other local vendors but on our wedding day the groom ripped his pants pre ceremony and was able to get them replaced within an hour of the ceremony and a groomsmen ruined his tie pre-pictures the day of the wedding and was able to pick up a replacement at the store before the ceremony started. The service made it worth the extra cost!

Much better prices than Mens wearhouse plus a better selection of grey tuxedos. One of the tuxes didn't fit that well but since he tried it on the day before they were able to adjust it for the wedding day.

they were great to work with and followed up the week of the wedding and gave the groom a free try on the week of. Alot of changes needed to be made to our wedding party's tuxes and they were very prompt!

Had a lot of options/flexibility which allowed me to achieve the look I wanted; they run frequent specials so the price was very reasonable. They even picked up the tuxes the next day at the hotel for us since we were all from out of town and they were closed on Sundays.

We rented our tuxedos from the Milroy's in Urbandale. Our first visit went very smooth, and we were very impressed. We spoke with a guy named Nick. When the guys went to get fitted for their tuxes however, they got another woman, and she did not do as great of a job. They had only two people working on a Saturday during prom/wedding season. Overall though, they did a great job, and the guys looked great.

My mother-in-law lives near Ames so this was of great convenience for her! The workers were great to work with and offered great suggestions and help. I did already have some ideas, so once I shared they were able to fulfill my wants! And for doing business, I get a discount for my dress preservation!

It took a few trips to figure out what style we wanted in a price range that we liked. We finally talked to someone who advised that we could get the same cut of tux in a different brand for less and we were sold! Everyone who was measured there had issues with the tux's fitting properly - however, everyone who was measured elsewhere the tux fit perfect. It took a few attempts but in the end they all had tuxes that fit!

We rented all 15 tuxes from Milroy's Tuxedos in Waterloo and the tuxedos were WONDERFUL, however, the service could have been better for the price you pay per tux. All the guys in the wedding party that were fit also tried on the shirt, shoes, pants and jacket before ordering and we still had problems with the different pieces or the wrong sizes being ordered. As the bride, I was never contacted about anything which was a little frustrating. Great tuxes but the service could improve.

The Tuxes were awesome and looked great! The service was awesome dealing with Barb in Dubuque! If we needed to rent a tux again, she's the one we will go to!

We needed a tux rental that had locations in Des Moinesad Dubuque because we live in Des Moines (so did most of the wedding party) but our wedding was in Dubuque. They did a nice job. Only a few things had to be altered the day all the guys went to pick th up, but that's typical. They were just a little pricier than I expected.

they were terrible. we went into check out what style of tuxes we wanted for our wedding. the sales man had no time for us. we would ask a question, he would barely answer it then walk away. this was in the cedar falls store

They matched the bridesmaids dresses very well, we got a good deal on the rentals and they had a lot of options wich was great. they do need to pay more attention to their customers when they come in though. didnt even ask my father in law to try anything on like they did with everyone else. very rude little girls.

They were very friendly and helpful in our decision making process. The guys showed up to get/try on their tux the night of the rehearsal dinner, most of them fit perfect. My father-in-laws was way off but they got him another one to fit perfect on the spot and he was good to go. My husbands jacket was also to big, they got a better fit one in for him and we had it picked up the morning of the wedding. We also got free toasting flutes with a monogram on it. Really nice keepsake, and saved us money! Tux were a little pricey but overall Great experience.

The service was good. We had a couple tuxes that weren't the right size but Milroys fixed everything the day before.

Milroy's was great to work with for Tuxedos! Best part: they communicated with me when we still needed half the party to get fitted! So I was able to get a hold of everyone in time!

We got our tuxes from Milroy's through Hope's Bridal. They looked great!

My husband and I went to a local store in our town called Dad and Lad clothing and they had a Milroy's Tuxedos area. The manager was too hasty with us and a tad rude. That store shut down and he sent my husband's tux to Milroy's Tux in Ames, IA at the North Grand Mall. It was more professional so we are happy that they handled our order. Thanks Milroy's!

Very wonderful to work with. The tuxes were available for us to pick up Wednesday before the wedding. The only annoying thing about Milroy's was having to have the tuxes returned the very next day to avoid a late fee and since we weren't from town at 1am Sunday morning I (the bride) was running around having the guys change so I could collect their tuxes and have my bridesmaid return them for me.

My groom lost weight before the wedding, and they had a new tux for him within two days!

The tuxes looked amazing, but they were pretty expensive. We went with a higher quality tux, but it was worth it. The guys looked great.

My groom and his attendants wore the black "The Situation" tux, and it looked fantastic! Milroy's stuff was clean (there was some dirt on the shoulder of my groom's tux, but it cleaned easily), attractive, and VERY reasonably priced. The colors we used, while not exact matches, were pretty close. Milroy's was also very good about shipping out replacement vests (in four day turn around) when my shop accidentally ordered the wrong color! Only one tux needed fitting, and at that it was just hemming up a jacket! Very impressed and very happy!

We actually went through Ewer's Men Store in Iowa City, IA but they are affilliated with Milroy's Tuxedos. They were very reasonable priced and the groom got his free with the purchase of 5 tuxs. Milroys was the only place around that had exactly what we were looking for, the Winter Camo (white camo). Couldn't have asked for any better of customer service as well.

We went through Holley's in Lindale mall but all the tux came from Milroy's. The men liked their tux and it was pretty comfortable to wear all night, minus the shoes but what man likes dress shoes?

My husband got all the tuxes from this company. They were great! Very accommodating for any last minute changes. Very competitive pricing and a lot of unique options. So glad we made this choice!

I had the BEST experience with Milroy's in Dubuque. We had a last minute vest change on our tuxes and everything came in exactly as ordered. We also ordered our invitations and programs here. Barb was amazing! She kept me in the loop every step of the way, responded quickly to all of my questions and was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Highly recommend Milroy's in Dubuque for all tux and invitation needs!

We used Milroy's Tuxedo's they came in with no issues they looked great and everyone said they had never seen any like those before the guys looked great!

They were helpful and the tuxedos looked great. We had one mix up with the tux style and vest color for our usher vs our groomsmen but it all worked out.

We went in to pick out our tuxes for our wedding and felt confident in Milroy's. The problems began the 2nd time we went in and they couldn't find our order. After some searching they found us with my husband's last name spelled wrong. We went through this at every encounter with them, as they did not fix the misspelling. When my husband went in for his measurements they had no record of any other wedding party (who all had either been sized there or called in there measurements long before). We also had made changes to our order and they had no record of this. The day before the wedding one of our groomsmen picked up their tux and the jacket selves were about 8 inches too long. Their fix was to roll the sleeve into the jacket and pin it. It looked absolutely awful! My husband picked his up and tried on the pants, shoes, shirt and jacket and they all fit, but when he got to the church and put on the vest it was a medium and he had to go in and get an XL right before the wedding. We were unhappy with the overall experience and when we came to them with our complaints they said they would refund a portion of the cost and send us a check. Which almost 3 weeks gone by we have yet to receive. I will not recommend Milroy's to anyone.

They were very helpful in helping to decide the right choice in tux for every member of the wedding party. All of the tuxes were delivered to the store 2 days prior to wedding, and they all fit everyone well. No problems! I like that they have a variety of colors/patterns to choose from. All in all a good experience and I would recommend!

We had many issues when renting tuxes. when we first came in they were very nice and told us that since we had so many people in out party renting we could get two free rentals. when it came down to paying for tuxes they said that we did not get two free rentals only one. very frustrating. then when it came to measurment our groomsmen got measured at several locations and all were to be sent to the CR location. The workers assured us they would all be there but 2 of the 11 were not, and when then guys went to try on their tuxes on thursday before the wedding 4 of the 11 didnt fit and needed to be fixed.. to top it all off they couldnt pick up the altered tuxes until saturday at 10. the day of the wedding in cedar rapids which was 45 minutes away from our wedding location.. we were very dissappointed.

The tuxes looked great! They were always helpful when we came in wanting to try new looks for the guys. The only problem was that on our wedding day, two of the six groomsmen were missing pocketsquares and considering I decided to only have them wear those (not boutonnieres), it caused a bit of stress!

These tuxes were great quality. It was a hot day, but the light-weight tuxes worked great! We had a few issues with getting the correct vests, but they were very quick about getting the correct vests.

Good thing the men in the wedding went the day before to try on tux rentals, because half of them were the wrong size!

First of all this place has great tuxes! The lady I was working with quit and didn't leave any of my information, so I had to basically start over. After that, they seemed good. One complaint---my groom was suppose to be wearing a silver tie and vest and they gave him a purple tie and vest (like the groomsmen). In the end it wasn't a huge deal, but it would have been nice for him to stand out a little bit more.

We had a snow camo (hunting themed) wedding, and Milroy's was the ONLY place we could find that had snow camo vests/tuxes. We had 17 guys in our wedding party and Milroys did an outstanding job getting everyone fitted and the appropriate garmets to each person. We had no problems at all!

The tuxes looked good and only the GROOM's tux was wrong but the rushed over another jacket but he had to pick it up the morning on the wedding because they didn't have any of our tuxes in til the day before. Don't try calling the store, you will be put on hold for the amount of time you could have driven over there. Asking the people that work there questions is pretty much a joke.

Great selection, everything was there that was supposed to be and they were more than willing to switch things out that needed to be.

I was very happy with the service we received from Milroy's. Their prices were fair and they went above and beyond when one of the groomsman's pants were 10 inches too short. (He was told to try the tux on the night before and did not). We rushed him over to the shop and they had a new pair of pants for him and he was back to the church in half an hour. They have a great selection and great customer service.

Were very helpful and easy to work with

Employee was rude the whole time we were in there and seemed like we were bothering her. A few weeks later my father went in to order a tux as well, and wanted to add it to our bill. They couldn't find my order... I had to go in there and MAKE them look harder. They finally found it, and I decided to see if she had everything right, and she did not! So I had to tell her all over again. So that wasn't very professional, however once we got the tuxs they were correct, and looked good.

The tuxes looked nice. They were a little pricey. Some stores measured better than others.

Milroy's did great with our tuxes - no issues at all. We were locked into a good price months before the wedding and offered another discount come time to purchase - definitely pleased with Milroy's.
